Super G
Sidney Wyatt was supposed to be living her best life engaged to Dr. Wesley Salinger. Wesley loved black girls…but he evidently liked a different black girl better because he literally left Sidney at the alter.
Now struggling to make ends meet, Sidney gets the opportunity to take the ten-day honeymoon cruise to Europe, completely paid for by her cheating ex.
Knowing that this is probably the only opportunity she’ll ever have to cruise in style to Europe, Sidney decides to recreate herself into the wealthy woman that could afford an all inclusive VIP cruise, including her own personal around the clock butler.
Giacomo is definitely not living his best life. He was overlooked for the Head Superior Genie position on the cruise ship where he worked as a butler, despite the fact that he outshined the man that was awarded the job. To top that off, out of spite he was given the worst assignment as the Superior Genie for a high maintenance American guest that has already made several changes to her reservation--even before boarding the ship!
But then he sees the ebony skinned beauty with the full voluptuous figure, and begins to realize that Sidney Wyatt is not like any of the other wealthy, entitled guests that constantly seek his attention. In fact, being in her service might not be a bad thing at all.
Super G is an interracial romance with sizzling heat. Pepper Pace packs on the humor as well as the sexy in her latest novella. Warning: This book contains sex and sexual language and is for adult readers only.

Prologue
Sidney walked into the apartment with two bags of groceries in her arms. She nearly jumped when she saw Wes sitting on the couch. His hands were clasped before him as he watched her.
“How about a little help here?” She said when he just sat there staring at her. He seemed to visibly shake himself and jumped up quickly, taking one of the bags from her arms.
“What are you doing home so early?” she asked, a bit distracted. Her plan to make a meatloaf dinner was now blown, as Wes had no patience for elaborate meal preparations. Since he had beaten her home, she now needed to whip up something quick. Wesley was a turkey sandwich-on-the-go type of guy and didn’t care about her attempts to be creative in the kitchen. But now that they were engaged, Sidney wanted to show him that she knew how to take care of her man in more places than just the bedroom.
He was a doctor, after all. And his schedule was jam-packed. She still got a thrill in the pit of her stomach that her man—no, her FIANCE was a doctor.
Sidney smiled to herself as she thought about her blessings.
This time last year she had been the new receptionist in Wesley’s cosmetics surgery office, and today she was living with the man of her dreams and about to get married.
It all had moved so quickly, like a whirlwind—and maybe to some it was an unlikely relationship. She wasn’t the swanky light skinned girl with hazel eyes that appeared in the interracial movies. She was nearly as dark as a struck match with a shapely plus size, while Wes was tall, fit and trim with skin and hair so light that it was nearly white. But oddly, as a couple they fit perfectly, both garnering attention for their individual beauty and their complete contrast to the other.
Sidney was smiling to herself. She was so busy reviewing her blessings that she had not realized that Wes had not spoken and was standing in the kitchen doorway still holding the bag of groceries.
Hamburgers? No! Wes went to the gym three times a week and even though he didn’t mind the fact that she was big and shapely, he certainly took precautions to stay fit and slim. Wait, why was he home so early?
Sidney looked at him and finally noted the strange expression on a face that had lost its vibrancy and was as white as she’d ever seen him.
“Wes? Honey, what’s wrong?” A head of lettuce was in one of her hands, the other was poised to open the refrigerator.
His lips parted and he inhaled a deep breath. “Sid. I-I…”
Her forehead creased and she put the lettuce on the breakfast bar and walked to him. Instead of prompting him to continue, she took the grocery bag out of his arms and placed it on the breakfast bar.
“What’s wrong?” her voice was firm and had taken on the no-nonsense tone that always seemed to turn him on.
“Tenesha’s pregnant.”
Her brow dipped slightly. Why would she care if his ex-girlfriend was…OH MY GOD…
Sidney stared at the man that had made her feel as if all of her dreams had finally come true.
“I’m sorry,” his voice cracked. “I love you-”
The sound that came from her mouth was a mixture between a muffled wail and that of a wounded animal.
Wesley reached out for her, but she jerked away as if his hand was molten lava.
“Oh my God…Oh my God...” She stared at him in disbelief. She was in complete shock. She had not seen this coming. How? How was this happening? Not from Wes.
From the moment that they’d started seeing each other she had captivated him. He never stopped saying how beautiful she was, how smart, how talented, how lucky he was to have his dream lover. He wanted her to move in with him within mere months because he said he wanted her to be the last thing he saw each night and the first thing he saw each morning.
Their relationship had moved quickly, but it was powerful, the sex explosive.
So, how could this be happening?
Wesley closed his eyes and shook his head. In that moment that he looked so forlorn she wanted to hit him, smack him across his face, knee him in his balls. But she was shaking entirely too much.
He was a cheater. He was having a baby. He’d been sleeping with other people. They were supposed to get married in less than a year. All of these thoughts swirled through her head until she felt like collapsing.
“How long? How many months…pregnant is she?” Her voice cracked beyond her control and she hated how weak it made her seem.
Wesley moved closer, his blue eyes locked onto her brown ones. But she kept backing up until she was rounding the breakfast bar.
“Don’t you fucking touch me!” She screeched. Her voice sounded strange to her ears. She’d never heard herself sound so raw.
He held up his hand. “I won’t touch
you. What happened with Tenesha was a mistake, Sid. You’re the one I love. You’re the one I want-”
“How many months is she?” Sidney glared at him, fighting for the strength that she could only gain by keeping her control intact. Now that the breakfast bar was between them she braced herself against it.
“Three. She just told me today. I’m sorry, babe. I’m so sorry…”
Her stomach dropped. “You slept with her after we got engaged?”
He looked at her with eyes filled with pain and regret. “Please, Sidney. I know that I don’t deserve your understanding but Tenesha and I go back so many years. When she found out about our engagement she was so torn up and…then one thing led to another…”
Sidney groaned in misery. Oh my God. This fool actually said that she was torn up. What about me? She wanted to wail. What about me?
“Sidney…” He looked down and then met her eyes. “I’m going to marry her. It’s the right thing to do. She’s having my baby! What can I do but make this right…” He continued, his explanation now falling on deaf ears.
Sidney’s heart actually skipped a beat. When something hits you so hard that it halts the beating of your heart, then the pain of it is no different than a physical trauma. That is how badly Sidney hurt as she listened to her fiancée's confession.
Chapter One
~Two Months Later~
“Take the trip, girl. Don’t be stupid.” Sheena sipped her Hennessey and coke. It was her second and she was already taking on that bossy tone that Sidney hated. But Sheena was her oldest and basically only friend. They’d been through a lot together—including this break-up. Without her friend she doubted if she could have made it.
Those long nights when she was haunted by thoughts of them together, she would call Sheena in tears and the two would spend hours talking about how trifling he was. Sheena never got tired of dissing the dirt on Wes—but after a while it began to feel as if she wasn’t just destroying Wes’ character but hers for even being with him.
“He just objectified you for your dark skin and big booty,” she had said time and time again. “You weren’t anything but his fetish. Thank God you got away from that.”
She was probably right. Sidney had done the obligatory ex-girlfriend thing by searching for Tenesha on social media.
Tenesha was pretty—really pretty with a deep mahogany complexion, and a body that was toned yet shapely.
Well Wes obviously had a ‘type’ and she and Tenesha both met it. It wasn’t just the color, Wesley liked bigger women and he liked black culture from African American music to art. He even supported the Black Lives Matter Movement. It was almost like Wes wished that he was black. She still didn’t think it was wrong for a man to appreciate her color and her culture but did that make her a fetish?
When she had applied for the receptionist job at a local cosmetic surgery office, it had been far from her dream job. The only perk had been in the reduced priced surgery that all the employees got as a benefit.
Sidney didn’t dislike much about herself. She loved her deep dark skin tone. She liked that she was thick and shapely. When she was a teen she had watched YouTube videos with dark skinned and plus sized Influencers that taught her how to boldly amplify her beauty from the correct make-up to wear, to how to walk like a runway model while wearing high heels. When Sidney entered a room she knew she attracted attention and she made sure that she always looked good, from the top of her curled and relaxed hair to the tips of her pedicured toes.
But there was one thing that she didn’t like about her looks, and that was her double roll of belly that ruined her otherwise hourglass figure. In her opinion, big girls with a snatched waistline were the sexiest women in the world.
So, on the day that she completed her three-month probation period, Sidney set up an appointment with one of the three surgeons in the office. All were sexy, but Dr. Wesley Salinger was the youngest, and in her opinion the sexiest. He was Scandinavian in appearance with light hair that was whiter than blond. His sky-blue eyes were piercing and direct. Dr. Wesley’s good looks made mouths drop and tongues wag, including hers.
He had stared into her dark brown eyes with his uncanny blue ones.
“You are perfect the way you are Sidney—I hope you don’t mind me calling you Sidney. You’re perfect. You don’t need to remove anything. If more women looked like you…” His eyes had then scanned her slowly, up and then down before once again meeting her eyes, “then the entire fashion industry would change. Women with curves would be the standard for beauty—and if you don’t mind me saying, so would your beautiful brown skin. But of course, it’s entirely your decision. But I would hate to ruin your natural beauty, Sidney.”
She had blinked at the young doctor in surprise. A cosmetic surgeon that preferred her natural beauty?
Discreetly, she had asked why none of the obviously thirsty, husband hunting women in the office were trying to make a play for Dr. Wesley even though he was certainly hotter than the other two doctors. One of the male attendants finally explained that he had no interest in any of the women in the office because they weren’t brown enough for him. The attendant had given her a knowing look.
It had clicked then.
Sidney felt a fresh wave of loss at what could have been. Maybe it was like Sheena said, and she was caught up in the fact that someone like Wesley was infatuated with her. Not because he was white. She didn’t think about his color. After a time, it was easy to forget it. But he was sexy, financially stable, and he looked at her as if she was a goddess.
“I don’t want anything from him,” Sidney said adamantly while shaking her head.
Sheena scowled and leaned in closer. “This isn’t a hand out, Sid. You deserve this trip.”
They were sitting in Sheena’s favorite spot, a local bar that played good R&B, served strong drinks, and best of all, it was a place where everyone knew Sheena’s name.
“You ended up sleeping on my couch for two weeks because you wouldn’t stay in the condo after he offered to let you live there rent free until you got up on your feet.”
Sidney’s chest began to ache. Sheena didn’t realize how hurtful her words were. If her best friend couldn’t understand why she wouldn’t want to live in the home that belonged to the man that had devastated her, then no amount of words could ever explain it.
“And then you up and quit a good paying job,” Sheena continued.
Sidney flashed her an angry look. “Now you’re the one that’s being stupid. What kind of fool would I be to keep working in an office with a man that dumped me for another woman right before my wedding?”
“You’d be a woman that’s taking care of her business. Wes even said that he’d give you a raise so that you could get settled.”
Sidney turned away from her friend and picked up the long island iced tea that she had been nursing for the last half an hour.
“You know just as well as I do what all that means,” she replied after taking a small sip of the liquor that she didn’t really want.
“I know what it means,” Sheena said. “It means that you’d be getting a little pay back from that whore that stole your man. It means that he’s guilty and knows it and he’s doing everything he can to appease his conscious!”
Sidney glanced at Sheena. “It means that I’d be his kept woman, Sheena. I hate Wes. He could never, ever, touch me again,” she said bitterly.
Sheena gave her a cryptic smile. “You don’t hate him. If you hated him then you wouldn’t still be calling me at one a.m. crying your eyes out.”
Sidney took a long swig of her spiked beverage. She could have gotten angry at that observation, but she didn’t. Real friends weren’t afraid to call it as they saw it. “Well…I guess you have a point.”
“Take the honeymoon like he offered. It was you that wanted to go to Europe when he wanted to go to the Caribbean. You bought all those fancy clothes-”
“I bought all those fancy clothes for me and my man to enjoy on
our honeymoon together.” Sidney felt her eyes sting and she had to look away because she knew the tears were building up. But she would be damned if she would continue to cry over a trifling-ass man that didn’t want her.
“He’s trying to ease his conscious because he knows how dirty he was. Have a last hoorah on his tab. It’s already paid for.” Sheena raised her hand for the bartender to bring her another drink and Sidney quickly finished hers off and indicated that she wanted another. Sheena gave her a nod of approval. “Besides, if you don’t go on the cruise then he might take his whore on what was supposed to be your honeymoon. You don’t want that, do you?”
Sidney shrugged forlornly. “I don’t give a damn what he does anymore.”
“You’re the one that put in the leg work, you chose the hotel in Barcelona, it was you that set up the excursions and selected the perfect honeymoon suite on the ship. Let’s face it, girl. When will you ever be able to afford something like this again?”
Sidney flashed her friend an angry look, but Sheena raised her hand in defense. “I’m just keeping it real. That’s all I’m doing. You could have been living in a nice condo until you got your shit together instead of in that fleabag efficiency. You could have stayed working in your old office making beaucoup money instead of doing collections for a bootleg credit card company. And one day you will look back and say, ‘I could have gone on a ten day European vacation on the dime of a shit-head man that I don’t even think about anymore.’”
Sidney ran her finger along the rim of her glass. Anger bubbled up inside of her, but she recognized that it was directed at herself more than anyone else. Wesley and Tenesha were moving on with their lives together. She had been the rebound girl and being broke and bitter would not get her any martyrdom points.
The bartender placed a fresh drink in front of her and Sidney took a long drink. “Alright. I’m taking that cruise. I’m going to live it up and when I come back I’m not going to look backwards, only forward.”
