Beesting - a pastry filled with custard.
Biscuit - cookie
Blighter - a person regarded with contempt
Chew the fat - chat in a leisurely and prolonged way.
Cupboard - Australians use this term to describe cabinets, pantries, closets and more.
Formal - a high school dance held in year 10, then again in year 12, similar to the prom.
Journo - slang for journalist.
‘Love’ - a term of endearment for anyone from your spouse to a perfect stranger
News-ohs - people in the news business
Panadol - paracetamol, a Tylenol equivalent
Washer - wash cloth
Right as rain - things will work out and be perfectly well
Ringtail possum - adorable, furry marsupial with a curling tail, grey-brown coat, big eyes and small pink nose
RSL Club - Returned Services League club, for returned war veterans.
Tea - used to describe either a hot beverage made from leaves, or the evening meal
