Empaths
I don’t just listen to your words.
I listen to your use of words, your tone, your body movements, your eyes, your subtle facial expressions.
I interpret your silences – I can hear everything you don’t say in words

The Legend.
OUR WORLD BEFORE TIME…
When the Gods played together as brothers and sisters, the Universe came to be.
As the young Gods played in the darkness they planted stars, adding colour into the vast dark worlds. Watching with fascination as they mischievously danced through space creating supernovas and constellations as they giggled and ran along.
Reynard a mischievous God decided it would be fun to make a giant bear which he called Bayo, the bear grinned, it played and ran along beside the children and the young Gods loved him. He dashed amongst the constellations lighting up the stars, adding blues and reds into the skies.
Unfortunately, as with all Reynard’s trickery, things did not remain the same, and the playfulness of the young bear changed as the children grew bored. The children began mocking and tormenting him, prodding and chasing him with lightning bolts, they didn’t seem to understand what consequences this would have and had no idea that this would hurt the bear, their actions made him become mad.
Bayo became angry and began ripping and biting the constellations, destroying the stars, causing chaos amongst the Universe, making fierce games, frightening the young Gods.
The children discovered a darker side of the Universe, a new dark God appeared, he was angry, his presence made the children afraid, his large boney face and hands caught the light as he hid himself behind his dark hooded cloak. The god of death showed fury at the young Gods cruelty, taking away some of the younger sisters and brothers, he told them his name was Reaper. The children that were taken turned to shadow, evil had been created.
Afraid for their very lives, the remaining young Gods decided to go into hiding, curling themselves up into small balls and spreading themselves out, hiding across the vast Universe.
Gaia was one such child. She was a God of peace, the Goddess of light, of harvests, of blue seas and green trees and forests.
Better known to humans as Mother Earth…
As time continued to move forward, small creatures appeared, and time turned them from small mites to large mammals, then from mammals with no opposing thumbs to humans. The world as we know it today.
Gaia allowed her world to evolve, she watched as creatures changed, fascinating herself as she witnessed the evolution of many other creatures that lived on her world.
To our Goddess mankind became entertaining; she loved watching them as they travelled through the evolutionary chain, going from primate to human kind.
She allowed herself to blossom, to grow as a world, becoming more and more curious with time. Watching, waiting…
Ahnay was a human man, his eyes of blue, his hair of red, a wonderful example of a strong, warm human.
Even his name was strong; it translated as ‘radiant and glorious sun,’ Gaia, fell in love with him.
With her wisdom and magic, Gaia brought forward Ahnay’s light force, his very soul, she took a piece of her core (her heart) and created her human form she called herself ‘Kaia’.
Gaia (Kaia) was not a true entity of this world, so her life here was short, her earthly presence would bring about a new, evolved human that we call Empaths...
Ahnay and Gaia (Kaia) had one child, a girl they named Laryssa, through her life force and light with the incredible powers of magic, Gaia (Kaia) created more evolved humans, all who had the power to reincarnate for eternity.
Born as two parts of one enigmatic light; Empaths have an eternal attachment, it is so strong that nothing can ever prevent them wanting to be together, their very soul cries out for its other half. They are so connected that parting causes pain that is so intense, they would rather die than be without one another.
Empath’s links gave them something that no other species of earth ever could, a selfless need to be together, to search for an eternity through space and time to be with one another; nothing on earth or in the Universe could ever keep them apart, not even death.
Ahnay and Gaia (Kaia) had created – eternal love…
On Gaia’s (Kaia’s) passing, Ahnay promised to live his life for as long as time would allow him, from that point in her Goddess form, Gaia watched him their eternal pull never let go, she would smile at him, cry with him, and miss him for all the time they parted. He was always beautiful in her eyes, an everlasting memory of her time as human, then once Ahnay passed on, Gaia brought his light back to her heart and turned him into a God of the seas.
Gaia and Ahnay lived as one throughout eternity and whilst Gaia lived Ahnay would surround her, his waters ever flowing, a vast sea echoing his love for her, both of them watching as the earth continued to evolve.
Prologue
She watched him from afar; she had been there before many years ago. Laryssa sat on a bench in the University grounds. She leaned back putting her face in the sun, there was something about today that was just beautiful, it could have just been the sunshine. She felt content.
Looking down at her last assignment the date said 12th May, 2528 she had to hand this in today it was the day before it was due in and she hated being late.
She sat in reflection of other times and other lives, for as young as she was Laryssa was wise beyond her years.
Smiling at some of her memories, she could see times that she had been on this planet before. She pulled a Kool-Aid from her bag and listened to it fizz as she opened it.
She remembered…
ONE
NEW EARTH 2528 AD
Laryssa remembered another lifetime, everything about him felt the same, she could already feel the pull as their eyes met when they crossed one another’s path. Butterflies in her stomach, her mind filling with the memories of another time, watching him now, feeling apprehension, would she be able to deal with the memories from the old time? If she couldn’t, she would have to consider letting him walk away again, she had to be brave, this time she needed to take the chance.
Empathic humans, are more evolved than others of their species, their bond can never disconnect. Their only connection is a living emotion a feeling strong enough that their love travels through time and space.
Even though they have only flash memory of the life before, the link brings them together, it’s not like any other, it isn’t lust for one another but, it is an eternal connection of one light that has created two souls collectively a part of one’s self. In death, for just a few seconds, an empath can watch a soul as it leaves this world and moves on to the next, Laryssa had been th
ere with him when he had left the world before, her heart pulled with the pain, tears filled her eyes, she took a deep breath and continued to walk the path.
Those who have been born lucky enough, quickly find that they have the Empathic knowledge. Seeing flashes of their past, connection with their other half gives them the ability to speak to one another through a telepathic link when they are close to one another. They understand their bond quickly, even as children, they can become friends for a long time, anyone who has been friends with someone for an eternity understands and knows how this can work, but if they are empathic, this link is strong and is identified by them immediately.
Unfortunately for others who have no knowledge of who they are, their power lies dormant, unsuspecting, it is sad, filled with emotional problems, a life that remains the same for them and anxiety can over power their minds and indulge in their lives, making them over thinkers, loners who will settle for anything, as long as they do not have to spend a lifetime on their own.
An Empath is not magic, or evil. This is just the way our earth mother Gaia has made her evolutionary balance to bring about a more advanced world. They can spend hours even months happily in their own company, forgetting the outside world, enjoying the tranquillity in their own world.
Laryssa’s memory of her human life before this one, had damaged her trust and love for her eternal lover, he had been cruel and heartless, thinking he could second guess who she was, talking to her like she was nothing, making her feel bad about herself.
This time she either had to take the chance, or walk away before the heartache began again, before their relationship became doomed…
EARTH 1965 AD
Laryssa was born into this world, no Gods to guide her, this was not the beginning of human evolution as a normal human would experience, Laryssa had lived on Earth as many things, from human to a rabbit being chased by the red fox. Once she had become the lioness hunting and chasing antelopes.
This time, she had been an ordinary girl with an extra ordinary power. Laryssa was aware of what she was. Empaths with knowledge of their powers, keep it throughout any given human life.
EARTH 1976 AD ONWARDS
Laryssa lost her earth mother at a very early age.
Her mother was a strong, passionate, inspiring, good strong-willed lady; Katherine was born in Dublin Ireland, her beautiful rounded face with green eyes and long dark hair made heads turn. She paid it no mind, her true love was her husband, she was lucky enough to marry the man that she loved. She was loving and kind and once she was gone from Laryssa, her life, everything that was around her changed rapidly.
Empathic powers come to those whose spirit has the power.
All of them, living many lives before.
‘While Gaia (Laryssa’s first Earthly Mother known as Kaia) was alive, she taught Laryssa all she could.
Ahnay, her father spent his time away he had been working, building, making a good home for his daughter and his wife. Due to Laryssa having such a tragic childhood Gaia gave her a gift, she would always be allowed to remember her Godley parents, so that it would keep Laryssa strong through her life’s journeys.
Ahnay had been so in love with Gaia, she was his world. It was therefore hard for Laryssa to comprehend why she had always been so bad at relationships herself.
Laryssa would always search for a way to connect with them. Knowing of eternal life never stopped her wanting to be beside them; she believed in the world she knew as Empathica, she believed that one day, she could be with them.’
She lived with her human parents in this life, their bond was strong and Laryssa always felt loved and happy whilst her mother ‘Kathrine’ was alive. Then the day came, the rain was heavy, it was a winter’s night cold and dark, she could hear her mother in the other room, the doctor had been called out, her mother had difficulty breathing. A nurse had accompanied him to the house; only hours after the room fell silent, she could hear her father crying. Her mother was gone from this world and had begun her journey to another.
Robert (her father) became a drunk unable to cope with his wife’s death; the other members of Laryssa’s family had their own families to care for. Aunts and uncles and all those related to her ignored her plight. She remained stuck with a man she had spent no time with, she didn’t know him. He was too busy drowning his sorrows with a bottle of alcohol to care about her.
So Laryssa became rebellious! Learning the hard way to ‘stand on her own two feet’, she became distant and peculiar, a wild child.
Getting older, she locked herself away from her miserable existence. Gaia had tried to connect with her troubled daughter, but she was ignored.
Only after many attempts could Gaia find a way through, teaching and guiding her.
Gaia taught Laryssa meditation which helped a little. Stubborn in her ways, Laryssa became hard-faced, closing herself off, always fighting away those who tried to love her.
Laryssa’s Empathic power evolved through time, she had passed through many lives before her memories flashed like small dreams, these were not memories as such, but had been memories of lives she had lived before. She was the same soul that had travelled through different times, living over again as the world evolved around what she had become.
Gaia became her spirit guide, showing Laryssa the way back to a life that made her happy. She stayed in spirit, even if she couldn’t be there in person. Teaching and speaking to her when she could, even in death the her Goddess needed to remain, so that her first born child had guidance.
She was unlucky with Kathrine dying so young and even though Laryssa (unlike other non-empathic children) still had her spirit mother to give her comfort, there was nothing that could ever replace the loving arms of her human mother.
In meditation…
“Those of us who live, have no choice of when we die, just the knowledge that we will.” said Gaia to Laryssa one day.
“Why is this world such a cruel and lonely place for some, but not for others?” Laryssa asked her.
“We strive to please our ancestry, our Gods, we search for a place that can hold us all together and our lights shine as one. It is Empathica! Our journey is neither good, nor bad, it just is daughter. This world is a sad place, humans and other creatures make it this way. It is not for you to feel sad for your life, but to strive ahead in spite of it.” Gaia said.
Empathica is a place where souls that had lost one another could finally meet once more and remain together for eternity. So Empath’s continue to search and find their way there, amongst those who have earned their place. A place Laryssa yearned to be, so that she could walk with ancestors and be beside her Goddess mother and father, also her earthly mothers once again.
Empathica was made by the Gods of the multiverse for those who had endured living over time, a place she would be allowed to live with the other half of her eternal soul, her light.
His name was Niam...
EARTH 2000 AD ‘Remembering this life hurt.’
She knew after their last conversation that she was about to walk away from the love of her life.
He was indifferent, never sure of their relationship, lacking the confidence to follow his heart, he told her he would like to be friends, stay in contact. What the hell was he thinking of? Surely if you are in love with someone, you tell them before it’s too late, before all is lost?
Laryssa recalled her first day at work, he was sat leaning on the back of his chair, as she approached he almost slipped and fell, she turned her head away, so she could smugly grin.
Nothing made her suspect who he was, she had taught herself to subdue her empathic powers when around a lot of people, after all the last thing she needed at work was to encounter other people’s emotions.
Time had passed quickly, she had been offered a promotion in another firm, the wages were fantastic, and if she didn’t take it she would have remained stuck in the same old job probably for the rest of this lifetime.
Leaving the office they had b
oth worked in for two years, she believed he was saying good-bye. ‘I’ll try and stay in contact, but I’m not very good…’ her heart sank, these were his last proper words to her face, his displays of affection and the love he felt stood out as she looked deeply into his eyes. Her mind begging him to just tell her but, he said nothing… she had lost him.
All the awkwardness in their past gone, yet the gossip buzzed about, talk of their ‘affair’ was still rife. There had been no affair; Laryssa would never allow herself the moral dilemma. She was like a caged bird and had been since ‘the incident’.
He would never understand that, how could she ever tell him? It was better this way. As a neglected child from a rich family when she had just reached her 14th birthday, she had been taken, what happened to her no child should ever have to encounter, it left scars that never healed. The memory made her shudder.
Niam had managed to tell everyone how much he had loved her, but had forgotten an important factor, he had never told her. Building trust with people that he should never have, his ‘so-called’ friends spreading their poison as they went, one very evil woman causing as much chaos as she could. It would all die out in time.
Laryssa had got so fed up of the hysterical woman screaming at her down the telephone, his distraught wife. Niam had told her that she checked his phone, he called her a lot, she probably felt suspicious and was afraid he was leaving her and his children, Laryssa understood, but the two hadn’t even touched, so why did she do this? Laryssa just thought the poor woman was desperate and pathetic; perhaps he was someone that had a lot of affairs? After all what did Laryssa know?
Once Laryssa had left the office the calls had stopped.
He hadn’t loved her anyway, his words were empty and her life had also become empty as she tried to pull herself together enough to continue on.
