Keep This Promise Page 157

by Willow Winters

“Get rid of the bike,” Dev orders before he leaves the garage.

I throw my hands up in surrender. “Fine.”

  Kayla

My aunt hawks me the entire night. She knows something is up. I’ve been dancing around the subject of my relationship with Reese and Dev for weeks, and tonight, it’s all going to come to a head.

This has been the strangest Christmas of my life, waking up next to two men who showered me with presents. And not just small trinkets, either—diamond earrings, expensive clothes, electronics, and brand new leathers Reese had specifically designed for me. Black leather pants with colorful butterflies of different sizes stitched diagonally around one thigh and a matching black leather jacket with the same butterfly design climbing up the lapel onto the collar. So understated, but beautiful.

Dev surprised me with a butterfly necklace made of white diamonds and pink sapphires. Nothing dramatic, but also beautiful. The fact that they took such careful consideration, knowing what butterflies mean to me, put me over the edge. If you’re lucky, you find one person who’ll love you, scars and all. Somehow, I’ve found two.

Christmas dinner was an epic battle. Reese and Dev wanted a big feast, and they wanted us all together, which isn’t irrational, but I had to somehow, some way, include Sam. She’s the only family I have, and there was no way I was going to exclude her. I tried suggesting ten different scenarios, but the guys put their foot down; it was the biggest holiday of the year, and they wanted their woman with them. All day. Stubborn asses.

So that brings me to my current situation. My aunt and I sitting down to dinner with both Reese and Dev. To an onlooker, this picture might not be anything unusual. A girl making Christmas dinner for her boyfriend, aunt, and boyfriend’s brother. I’m sure many holiday dinners look exactly like ours—except they’re not. Because said girl is dating both boys, and said aunt had no idea, until now.

I heard the question in her voice when I called to invite her over to Dev’s in the first place. He has the larger house and a dining room table, even if he never uses it. I made him and Reese rearrange the entire room so it looked somewhat presentable. They moved the table to its rightful place, got rid of the gaming chairs, and shoved the weight set into the corner. It’s not picture perfect, but it works.

I set the table with pretty snowflake plates and a wreath-like centerpiece adorned with red pillar candles and small red and gold balls. If I’m going to be forced to host a holiday, I’m at least going to do it right. Everyone at the table seems to appreciate my efforts, but it’s abundantly clear the dynamic is off. Sam isn’t stupid. She knows I’ve had a thing for Dev and vice versa, but I can see her trying to figure out exactly how Reese fits in. She catches everything, like the way Dev places his hand protectively on my neck or how Reese grips my hips possessively when I brush past him. The gestures are subtle, but still loud and clear.

The conversation is light throughout dinner, and I’m thankful Sam is looking better and acting more herself.

With the boys’ help, I clear the table, while Sam takes it upon herself to inspect the first floor. I see her casually canvassing the tree and all the presents underneath it. If I know her, she’s taking a tally. I can tell you now, there are double the amount of girlie things.

Sam returns to the dining room with inquisitive brown eyes but doesn’t comment. No, she wouldn’t. She knows better than that. She does things tactfully, like cornering her niece while no one is around to interrogate her. While no one is around to defend her or stick up for her.

It’s close to nine p.m. by the time Sam is ready to say good night. As apprehensive as I was for this dinner, it wasn’t as painful as I expected.

“Walk me out?” she asks as Reese and Dev start a fire in the living room.

“Of course.” Here it comes, the inevitable.

We both slip on our coats and walk out into the brisk December air. It’s a beautiful night, so crisp and clear the stars are actually twinkling. I barely have the front door closed before Sam attacks. “What the hell is going on?”

I should have drank more wine to prepare for this conversation.

“With what?” I play coy at first.

“Don’t, Kayla.” She’s having none of it.

Fuck, this is so awkward. I pull on the front of my coat uncomfortably. I’m so flustered; I want to strip down to my underwear just to cool off.

“Just ask what you want to ask.” I think answering will be easier than straight out explaining.

“Are . . . Are you dating both of them?” The expression on her face is mystified.

Dating is a mild way to put it.

  “Yes,” I confirm.

I think for the first time in my life I’ve left Sam speechless. And that’s saying a lot considering my past.

“How does that work exactly? Do they share custody? One gets you on the weekend and one during the week?” She crackles with irritation.

I shake my head slowly, sadly. I’m about to blow my aunt’s mind.

“The three of us are together all of the time.”

She ponders this for an elongated while.

  “All of the time?”

  I nod.

Don’t get me wrong. There are times I’m just with Dev or Reese alone, but those instances are few and far between. For the most part, sex always involves three.

“How…? I mean…?” She motions with her hands trying to articulate something. “How does it work?” She finally makes a circle with her pointer and thumb and shoves a finger through it.

I actually laugh. “You want schematics?”

“Not really.” She curls her lip, retracting her question. “What I really want is to make sure you know what the hell you’re doing.” She places her hands on my arms seriously.

“I do. It’s complicated and unusual, I’ll admit, but it works for us.”

Sam creases her eyebrows, indecisively. “Just as long as you know what you’re doing,” she reiterates.

“Does anyone really know what they’re doing?”

“No.” She pulls me into a tense hug, and I feel her skepticism. “I love you, crazy. Like my own daughter.”

“I know.” I hug her back.

“I’ll always be here for you, no matter what. No matter what happens.” She glances at the door behind me. I know what she’s getting at. When things with Reese and Dev go south, she’ll have a gallon of ice cream and a bottle of wine with my name on it. I really hope it never comes to that.

“Please, please be smart,” she implores.

  “I will.”

I watch her cruiser pull away before I go back inside. I drop my coat on the banister then collapse between Dev and Reese on the couch. The fire is crackling, and the TV is on mute.

“Everything okay?” Dev asks, angling his body toward me.

  “Ye-es,” my answer wavering.

“Did you come right out and tell her?” Reese probes.

“I didn’t have to. She knew. She’s not stupid. She’s a cop. Intuition is her bread and butter.”

“What did she say?” Both men are highly invested in the answer.

“She wasn’t exactly thrilled, but she didn’t condemn me, either.”

“It’s something that takes some getting used to,” Dev assures me.

“I know.” I play with the neckline of his sweater. “I just worry, is all. I don’t want to alienate anyone in our lives because of what we have.”

“I don’t think that will ever happen. Sam loves you. And she’ll love both of us soon enough.” Dev kisses me softly, thawing my icy insides.

“Because what’s not to love, right?” Reese skims his teeth down my neck.

“You have a point.” I close my eyes and revel in the feel of their lips on my skin.

“Did you have a nice Christmas?” Dev asks as his hand travels down my torso.

“Yes.” I flutter my eyelashes, letting my gaze jump back and forth between them. “Only one thing could make it better,”
I purr as they paw at me.

“We’re getting there.” Reese bites my neck and massages my breast. They splay my arms and legs apart before both sliding a hand into my pants. My moan is unstoppable as together they tease me with one finger each, Dev sliding into my entrance, Reese playing with my clit. All I can do is arch as they pleasure me. Control me.

“I need to see it.” Dev shifts, withdrawing from me. The lust thick as smoke in his voice. “And I want you to watch. Naked. Now.”

He’s so bossy. I love it. It makes me insanely wet. They strip me naked but keep their clothes on. They like it that way. Me, bare, just for them. It’s a dominance thing.

They pin each of my arms behind their backs, prop me up, and spread me wide, so my pussy is on full display to all three of us. Each one of my legs hooked over one of theirs. It’s a confining position—a statement position. They’re in no mood to dick around. They want me wet, they want me needy, and they want to fuck. I’m their puppet, and they want to play.

Reese and Dev resume their earlier stations. One finger in my pussy, the other on my clit.

“Watch us, Kayla. Watch us get you off just like this,” Dev commands. He knows how crazy watching makes me. The room is dim, but the fire highlights my body perfectly, showcasing their every ministration over my pink, swollen flesh. The orange flame kissing my bare skin and their traveling hands.

I whine and whimper as I watch Dev pump his fingers in and out, alternating one then two, while Reese strums my clit, massaging it, pulling it, even going so far as to slap it every now and again. I’m raging with sensation as I climb a mountain of ecstasy. Higher and higher they push me, until I’m dangling off the steepest cliff. I fly apart under their relentless touch, their hands so skilled and insistent, I can’t decipher up from down or left from right.

“I’m gonna come!” my voice pitches. “You’re going to make me come!” I try to move, flex my hips, but they hold me down, forcing the blistering climax to gather right between my legs. The storm inside me is tornadic, stealing all my breath as they work me harder.

“Oh, fuck!” I scream, my muscles tearing. My pussy and their fingers shimmering with wetness as I come in continuous waves.

I finally go limp, once the climax chooses to pass.

“So fucking hot.” Reese bites my earlobe, hard. “We need to fuck. Right now.”

He rolls the coffee table out of the way then drags me down to the ground, ripping his pants open as he goes.

In my lethargic state, I let him do what he wants, not even close to recovering.

Reese climbs on top of me, his jeans still around his hips, and thrusts savagely, the head of his cock hitting me right under my belly button. But I’m still so tender, I crunch up in a mishmash of pleasure and pain. Holy fuck.

“Who do you belong to, Kayla?” He fucks me hard. “Who does this pussy belong to?”

“You!” I squirm beneath him. “You and Dev.”

“That’s right, baby, me and Dev. Never forget it. Never forget how hard we make you come.” He punches in deep, over and over, until I have to grab onto him for dear life.

“Reese.” I struggle for air as he pounds into my body. My arousal smearing all over his cock, balls, and our thighs.

Another orgasm begins to spark inside me.

“Oh, God!” I sound almost in distress.

“You close, baby? You want Dev’s cock in your ass? You want us both to pound that orgasm out of you?”

“Yes,” I beg. Because nothing feels better than the two of them inside me at the same time. I don’t feel sexier, safer, or more secure than when I’m wedged between them.

Reese rolls over dragging me on top of him.

  “You’re so gorgeous. Ride me.”

The fire flickers against the side of his face and all along my naked body. Everything seems to calm as Reese latches onto my thighs and watches me intently as I move slowly up and down.

“That’s it. Fucking own me, baby,” he groans, his jaw clenched, never tearing his wild eyes off me.

In the midst of our moment, I feel Dev behind me, “Open,” he shoves two fingers in my mouth and pumps them until their wet. I suck diligently, lubricating them like he wants. Utilizing my rolling hips, he penetrates my ass with his two oiled fingers. The added pressure heightens the kindling feeling inside, but I know the fire won’t come until he sinks inside me, too.

“Dev,” I implore, “I need you.” I continue my undulating flow.

“Need me? Where? Here?” He pushes in deep and spreads his fingers, stretching me outrageously wide.

“Yes. There.” I whimper feebly, my pussy beginning to ache.

“Tell me how much you want me there. Beg me to fuck you.” He’s right there in my ear, his breath warm and voice erotic.

  “Please,” I whisper.

“Not good enough.” He continues to invade my loosening little hole.

“Please, fuck me. Fuck me while Reese fucks me. Make me come, make me cry.”

“Butterfly,” he sounds appeased, pushing me forward so my chest is touching Reese’s. “Now, that’s how you beg.” So stealthily, I barely notice, Dev removes his fingers before he thrusts into my ass. “Ah!” My body immediately lights up, full and stretched and completely possessed.

“Damn, Kayla.” Dev leans over and kisses my back, sounding pained. “I’m never fucking prepared for how tight you are.”

“She’s perfect.” Reese tangles his fingers in my hair and kisses me sloppily, his tongue roaming all over the place. I respond, kissing him back, indulging in the two men who are about to destroy me.

“I need to come,” I whine with an orgasm stalled in my womb desperately trying to claw its way out.

“So move, baby.” Dev grabs my ass cheeks and spreads them wide. “Make yourself come. Use us.”

With some effort, I rock my hips, finding the perfect rhythm to get me off. Reese thrusts upwards slightly as I grind back on Dev’s cock, and soon my hissing sounds are elevating, and my movements are fitful.

“Oh God, you feel so good. You both feel so fucking good.” I lose myself, my inner walls clenching Reese while my ass muscles squeeze Dev.

I pant like an animal as I rock my hips frantically, using them for their bodies the same way they use me for mine.

“Ahh!” I thrash as my clit throbs, and I come like a raging river, dragging Reese and Dev downstream with me.

“Oh, fuck! Holy shit!” they both exclaim, tensing below me and behind me. It’s a trifecta of pleasure—a domino effect that travels rapidly through all three of us until no one’s left standing.

Just the crackle of the fire and our labored breathing flit through the room.

I’m too warm, but thoroughly sated, as I lay across both men.

  Both gorgeous, glorious, infatuating men.

Do I know what I’m doing? Hell no.

But if it’s wrong, I never want to be right.

I never want to be without either of them.

This love has consumed me and changed me irrevocably.

No matter what, I will always belong to both of them.

  Reese

“Why do you have to leave so soon? The first race isn’t until March.”

Kayla is crushed. I’ve put this moment off for as long as I could, but it’s time.

“Baby, I explained this to you already. I have to train, and then I need to test. One goes hand in hand with the other.” The look in her chocolate-brown eyes is devastating. “You think this is easy for me?” I take her face in my hands. “Leaving?”

“Yes.” She sniffles, the tears a constant stream.

“No.” I kiss her. “But it’s my job. I’m under contract, and I want to reclaim my title.”

“You’ll be gone for over two months.”

“I know. But this is the job. And I take it very seriously. I have to go.” I wipe her wet cheeks with the pads of my thumbs. “Don’t be upset. Dev is here. You won’t be alone.”

  “Was that your
sordid plan all along?” she fumes. “You leave and Dev babysits?”

“Maybe.” I tease her lips with my tongue. “I take care of what’s mine.”

“I’m going to miss you like crazy. I already do.”

“No, you’re not. We’ll FaceTime every day and sext every night. I’ll make you come with just my dirty words.”

That gets me a tiny smile.

“I’ll come back right after the first race. On a plane an hour later.”

  “Promise?” Her expression is hopeful.

“I promise.” I kiss her again, slowly, passionately, pouring all my emotion into one elongated embrace. “Love was just another word until you gave it a definition. Think about that when you’re missing me. You changed me, Kayla.” I press my lips to her forehead.

“You changed me, too.” Her voice strains, and so does my heart.

“I’m an influencer. What can I say?” I try to make light of the situation.

“Reese.” A giggle breaks through. That’s how I want Kayla to be before I leave. Happy.

“I expect you to watch every single race,” I stipulate. “Testing, too.”

“I want to protest for so many reasons.”

  “But you won’t.”

“No, I won’t,” she gives in easily.

“Good. Because there’ll be an exam when I get back.”

“You’re sort of making me want you to leave.” She curls her lip cutely.

  “Liar.”

She giggles a little more, the sound making my insides thrive.

  “Tell me you love me.”

Kayla bats her eyelashes slowly. “I love you.”

  “I love you more.”

  Kayla

Reese has only been gone a few days, and I have to give it to Dev. He’s done everything in his power to cheer me up, including taking me out to some fancy-schmancy restaurant in Philly we had to get all dressed up for.

The place is beautiful, with its smoky-gray walls, cheetah-print rug, sleek, black wingback chairs, and huge sprays of white calla lilies.
