Feeling his eyes focused on me. Trained on me like he was locked on to his prey. Not letting me out of his line of sight.
Oh please, who am I kidding? He probably hadn’t even noticed me.
Biting down hard on the inside of my cheek as I got lost in my work. Doing anything and everything to keep busy. I couldn’t ignore the way he set my body alight, making me want him. Something I had never experienced before.
My lace panties were damp with fresh desire coursing through me. Longing to feel him against me. On top of me. Inside of me. All over me. I felt crazed with sudden desperation for him. To know him…to devour him.
I must have lost my mind. I had to steer well clear of him. For my own sake. There was no way I could get caught up with that biker King.
Before long, I caught the movement in the corner of my eye. Climbing to their feet now, were they leaving? What was the point of coming here? Just to have a drink? No, I wasn’t buying that for one second.
“Cheers darling.” The flirtatious one called out to me as he walked on by. I just gave him a curt nod. Acknowledging him but not encouraging him.
The other two who hadn’t muttered a single word, gave me a curious look before they too disappeared, joining the VP outside.
Leaving him.
I was so attuned to him, I felt him stop. Pausing in the hope of gaining my attention. I couldn’t resist any longer. My eager eyes snapped up and found his deep, vibrant green eyes gazing down at me. My breathing was out of control.
“Night.” One single word mumbled through those teasing lips. Wishing I could jump him and find out what they felt like against mine.
One single word and it was laced with such promise. A devilish one at that. Promising sinful, feral fantasies. My legs shook as I saw the primal hunger dripping from his eyes. A wicked smirk on his face. Only confirming my suspicions, he was enjoying this. Savouring the taste of my wild desire.
Without saying anything else, he left. Leaving me a damn mess. Trembling and needy. Willing him to come back here and take me. Push me against the damn wall and fuck me until I saw the heavens, or maybe I would see the fiery pits of hell. There was only way I would find out.
But that wasn’t going to happen.
No, I had to stay far away from that man. No matter what. He wasn’t for me and I certainly wasn’t or him.
Talon
Who the hell was she? How had I never seen her before? She was angelic, yet she had a storm in her eyes.
Wild and violent.
Hungry and destructive.
Enticing.
Her silvery blue eyes drew me in. She ensnared me, dragging me under the icy waters. She was breathe taking. No woman had ever captivated me in the way she had. Making it impossible to think straight. I couldn’t even remember why the hell I was here in the first place. She knocked me off balance, it was unsettling.
Who was that woman?
I hadn’t been able to take my eyes off of her.
Fuck…I was raging hard for her. Seeing those eyes on me. Piercing right through me, making me so weak. I wanted to fall at her feet and worship the damn ground she walked on.
She was trouble for me. It didn’t stop me from wanting to throw her over my shoulder and take her to my bed where I could learn her body. Discover everything about her. Marvel at her beauty. Tying her to the damn bedposts, never letting her leave me.
God, and those curves of hers. They made my mouth water. Breasts I wanted to bury my face in. Hips that were just begging to be grabbed as I fucked her from behind. Back arched, face in the pillows, legs shaking. That fine arse of hers in the air. My palms were itching with need to get my hands on her. Slapping that peach of an arse as I claimed her. I wanted to hear her moan for me, scream my name. Feel her nails dig into my skin as her eyes rolled back in her head. I wanted her crazed and wild. I wanted her untamed.
“Talon? You all good brother?” Gunner patted me on my back, gaining my focus.
“Fine.” Snarling at him. I was far from fine. She was under my skin. I just met her, didn’t even know her name but I was already dangerously hungry for her. Struggling to contain the savage beast within. I was starving for her, ravenous for a taste. Though I knew a simple taste would never be enough, not with a woman like her.
“Think they’re about to come out. Lights turned off.” Hog mumbled; eyes trained on the bar. My club brother was focused on the task in hand. Mac right there beside him, ready and waiting for my orders.
Unlike me who was drowning in images of that angelic beauty I had just stumbled upon. Wondering what it would be like to have spread wide open for me. Offering herself entirely to me. I would burrow so deep within her, neither of us would know where the other began or where we ended. We would be intertwined so beautifully. I would make sure she never had a need for another in her life.
Only me.
“What’s the plan here?” I didn’t know. When I rode here earlier this evening, I planned to do anything to gather the information I needed. I even considered torturing the bartender to tell me what I wanted. In my mind, I never thought about what I would do if it was a woman. I didn’t hurt women or kids. One of the rules the Kings lived by.
But I needed to know what the hell was going on in my town. Why was Torch sniffing around? I needed answers. Anything to help me deal with this bastard and whatever he has planned.
I certainly didn’t expect to find her though. A radiant beauty just waiting for me to stake a claim on her. For the first time in my life, I wanted to.
I wanted to make her mine.
“I say we don’t crowd them.” That much was obvious. I didn’t want her afraid. I’d kill any fucker who made her tremble in fear.
“You lot stay back. I’ll talk to them.” The idea of any of my club brothers near her sent me creeping closer to the madness.
“You sure?” Glaring in Mac’s direction. Not liking the questioning tone of his voice.
“I do this. Stay the fuck back, understood?” Silence. None of them dared say anything. Seeing the violent look in my eyes no doubt.
The creaking of a door caught our attention. We were tucked in the shadows, next to our bikes, waiting for them to come out. Hoping, maybe she would talk. I knew it was her we needed to speak to. It had to be her. If Torch came into this place, he would have been drawn to her. Seen the fire in her eyes, unable to keep away from the flames. I knew that feeling all too well.
“You think it’s a bad idea?”
“I didn’t say that.” Both of them stepped outside. It was her who locked up though. Fumbling with the keys until she found the right one.
“You didn’t have to.” Blondie looked annoyed. I didn’t really care why; my only concern was with her. Her chocolate curls shone under the moonlight. She had let them down at some point, no longer tied up. They were stunning. Craving the need to wrap them around my hand as I took charge of her pleasure.
“Look, if you want to go out with him, then go out with him. You don’t need my approval.”
“But if you don’t think it’s a good idea then tell me.”
“Tell you what? That it could fuck up the friendship you two have? Fuck up the working relationship you have? Fuck up everything in general.” I could do nothing but listen to my angel. Watch as the fire burned bright in her eyes. Seeing the passion there. The protective streak in her rearing its head, looking out for her friend. Seeing her like this only made me grow harder. My cock was begging to be let loose on her. To part her thighs and plant myself within her. Ravage her until she begs for mercy. I wanted her shaking underneath me.
“Wow, pessimist much.”
“I just…you both are at different points in your life, wanting very different things. He wants to fuck as many women as possible, his certainly not looking to commit. Are you really ok with that? Because we both know you want something a lot more serious and devoted than just being his fuck buddy.”
“So what? I don’t even try?”
“That’s you
r choice. I just want you to be happy with someone who loves you. If you think that’s Zach, then go for it. I mean what do I know? I’m no expert.” Pulling her friend in for a hug.
No expert? She wasn’t seeing anyone? She better not to be. I would deal with anyone who stood in my way. Making sure I had all her attention. No other man will ever have her again.
She made me possessive.
She was mine…all mine.
“Talon, you going?” Gunner kicked me into gear. They were heading for a car now. It was now or never. As much as I enjoyed watching her walk away and seeing that mighty fine arse sway from side to side, I still needed to speak with her.
Stalking after her, making sure to create some noise, wanting her alerted to my presence. Not wanting to jump out on her. Boots crunching on gravel. Coughing to get her attention. She spun around, finding me instantly. Those eyes of hers went wide. Lips parting. Cheeks blushing red even though her bottom lip quivered with fear.
“The bars closed.” Facing me completely. Eyes not wavering, staying firmly on me. Good, that’s just where I wanted them, on me at all times.
“I just wanted to talk.” Giving her friend the keys, she didn’t even turn away from me.
“Go get in the car Jane.” She didn’t even argue. Seeing the fight warring between us, she hurried off, going to find safety in the car. Not that she was in danger from me, neither of them was.
I couldn’t help but take a step towards her. She held her hand up to me.
“That’s close enough.” I really wanted to show her that it wasn’t. There shouldn’t be any space between us, not even a whisper of air.
“I’m not going to hurt you.” I could see she didn’t believe me. There was no trust there at all. I hated it. Whatever it took, I would earn it, no matter what.
“Waiting in the dark doesn’t do you any favours in convincing me that your harmless.” I couldn’t help myself, laughing at her choice of words.
“Oh love, I’m most definitely not harmless.” Stepping closer, one step at a time.
“What do you want?” Eager to get to the point, I could tell she wanted to run to safety. Though there is nowhere that I wouldn’t follow. I would chase her down like a wild animal, hunting for his woman. I would take her like an unhinged beast as well if she weren’t careful.
“Your boss, he’s been messing around with some pretty bad men. You wouldn’t know anything about that, would you?” There was a flash of knowledge in her eyes, she knew something. Fuck.
“You want to find out what Olly has been up to, go ask him. I’m not his keeper. What he does in his free time, is none of my concern.” Maybe she didn’t care but it didn’t stop her from knowing something. Had she met Torch? Had he said something to her?
“Look sweetheart, if your tangled up with these men, you’re going to be wanting my help. They don’t play nice. Especially if things don’t go their way. I can protect you…if you tell me what you know.” Suddenly she was storming towards me, going toe to toe with me. There was that fire. The fury in those wild eyes, getting in my space.
Just where I wanted her.
Holding my damn breath as I fought every instinct in my body to pull her against me. To taste those cherry red lips. See just how sweet they were.
“I’m not tangled up in anything. What Olly does, is his own business. Nothing to do with me. You got a problem with whatever he is up to, go pay him a visit and take it up with him.” I liked her angry. Something about the way her silvery eyes darkened. Was this what they were like when she was turned on? Oh, I already knew the answer to that. I had seen them back in the bar when she had been eyeing me up. Her eyes had done the same thing then. Darkening, sparkling with a fierceness. A need that radiated from her, making my dick twitch just thinking about it.
“So, a man named Torch didn’t come by last night?” The colour drained from her face at the mention of his name. A spark of fear in them. She knew who I was talking about. Just as I suspected, he had spoken to her.
“I don’t know anything.”
“Then why was he here?” He didn’t just pay a visit here for the fun of it.
“I don’t know.” Wondering how I could convince her to trust me. Trust that I wasn’t about to hurt her. That all I wanted was to protect my town and the people in it.
More than anything, I wanted to protect her. Keep her safe and by my side.
I went to speak but her gentle voice cut me off.
“He was looking for Olly. I don’t know why, I really don’t. He thought Olly might be here, he wasn’t. Never is anymore. Whatever Olly is messed up in, he didn’t share that with us. I can’t stand the guy and I’m pretty the feeling is mutual.” This was good. She didn’t know anything that could get her in trouble. Nothing that would condemn her to the same fate as Olly. If he weren’t already dead, he would be soon. He had crossed Torch. It was the only reason he would come here looking for him. Looking to deliver vengeance. You don’t wrong him and live.
“Ok. You should be heading home now.” Not wanting to let her go, not yet. But I had business to take care of. Find this slippery bastard and see what he’s been up to. See what shit storm he has brought to Oakley and what kind of mess I’m probably going to have to deal with.
After a few seconds, she took a deep shaky breath. Hypnotising me with the way her chest rose and fell. Licking my lips at the thought of getting my mouth on those breasts of hers.
As if reading my thoughts, seeing how close I was to taking her. She turned away from me and rushed for her car, wanting to put distance between me and her.
Could she feel this?
By the way, those perky little nipples off hers tightened and budded right before my eyes, yeah, she felt this too.
Watching her speed out of here with her friend in the passenger seat, it tore at my soul. Bellowing at me to go after her. Not wanting to let her leave my sight.
I may have let her go tonight but tomorrow…I won’t let her escape so easily.
She will be mine. All fucking mine.
Chapter Four
Hazel
“I wish I could swap my coffee for wine.” Exhaustion was hitting me hard. Another night of restless sleep. Though last night had been different. There were no nightmares. No torturous memories resurfacing.
Just dreams of him.
“Rough night?” Necking the rest of my coffee. That felt like an understatement. Jane was eyeing me up, wondering if this had something to do with the late-night talk I had with the president of the Kings of Chaos.
He had been waiting out there for us, wanting to talk. Catching me by surprise. Making it impossible to sleep without tossing and turning. Imagining he had followed me home. That he snuck in through my bedroom window and had his wicked way with me.
“Something like that.”
“Because of the Kings?” Even though he was the only one to approach us, I had seen the other three waiting by their bikes. Observing us. Keeping a close eye on what went down. Ready to jump in if things had turned nasty.
“They may have had something to do with it.” Fleeting fantasies that had tortured me in a different way. Driving me crazy with scenes of me and him. Sensual, seductive, alluring dreams. Things that could never happen between us. It would just complicate everything.
It didn’t stop me from being haunted by his glimmering light emerald eyes.
“You think they went to speak with Olly?” It was only way they would get the answers they wanted so badly.
“I don’t know. Depends how badly they want to find out what the hell is going on.” I couldn’t help but wonder if he would be back? Would the King of Kings be back? Strolling in here like he owned the damn place. Why did I want him to come back? Getting close to him wasn’t an option. He was dangerous, sinful as they come.
Plus, eventually I would have to up and leave when the monster of my past gets too close for comfort. Dropping everything and making a run for it. Getting attached to that wicked biker King wasn’t
a smart idea.
Zach wandered out of the kitchen then, grinning at Jane. Something passed between them, something that made her cheeks blush. Gnawing at her bottom lip, a dreamy look in her eyes.
She must have realised I was watching as she dropped her gaze then. Avoiding eye contact. What the hell had happened? I dropped her home last night. She had been alone. Unless he paid her a late-night visit. Fuck, had they hooked up?
“Something the two of you want to share with the group?” Both of them froze. Eyes went wide. Shocked that I had picked up on it. I mean, they made it pretty damn obvious.
“Nothing.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Oh, I’m sure they didn’t. Zach made a quick escape to the kitchen, leaving Jane to face the music on her own. Coward.
“Did something happen between the two of you?” She started to fuss over the bar. Cleaning it, well, pretending to. Scrubbing at the same spot even though there wasn’t a mark there. Trying to avoid my question.
“Jane?” Huffing in defeat.
“You can’t say anything to him.” I didn’t like agreeing to this. What if I wanted to intimidate him into treating her right? I needed to put the fear of god into him. It’s what friends are for…right?
“Hazel?” Sighing at her firm tone.
“Fine.” Quickly checking to make sure he was still hidden away in the kitchen. Not wanting him to hear divulge details to me.
“When I got home last night, he text me. You know, checking in.” Rolling my eyes, knowing where this was going.
“Booty calling?”
“Checking in. Seeing if I was ok and that I made it home safe. I didn’t mention that the Kings were waiting outside to talk to you. Anyway, long story short, he came round, and we ended falling into bed.” Shit, this just felt like it was going to end badly. Jane wanted something completely different to what he wanted. She wanted a partner. A serious relationship. He just wanted to fuck as many women as possible. I didn’t see him changing anytime soon. She would just get hurt and there was nothing I could do to stop it.
