Magnum: A Dark Knights MC/Dirty Angels MC Crossover Page 18

by Jeanne St. James

He worked his finger in and out of her, and she spread her thighs wider and leaned into him, dropping her head back onto his shoulder. When he slipped a second thick finger into her, she groaned and began to move with his motion.

His cock was hard and hot against her ass and she wanted to grind and thrust against it but was afraid the chair would give out.

Instead, she let him do what he was doing and made a challenge out of staying as still as possible, only encouraging him softly with her words.

  “Tell me when you’re comin’.”

“I always do,” she managed to get out.

He grunted. “Dick’s so damn hard for you.”

“You’re just trying to get out of answering my questions.”

Instead of responding, his fingers began to move more quickly and he sucked hard on her neck, drawing another moan from her.

His other hand slid into her V-neck tee and into her bra, and using two fingers he twisted her nipple, making her hips shoot up, which drove his fingers deeper inside her.

  “Mag,” she breathed.

“That’s it, baby, show me how much you like me touchin’ you. Want you to soak my fingers.”

That wasn’t going to be a problem. His fingers weren’t the only things wet. Her panties and the crotch of her shorts were now damp, but she didn’t care.

She whimpered when he added the pressure of his thumb to her clit.

Her breathing became ragged, her hips shot up one more time, and she came, the orgasm radiating out from where his fingers were buried down to her toes and up past the nipple he was tweaking hard.

Capturing her mouth with his, he swallowed her wail so it didn’t fill the still night air. Once she came back down from the high of her climax, he released her mouth, her nipple and then slowly withdrew his fingers from her still pulsing pussy.

He held them up in front of her face. “See that?”

What he was showing her wasn’t hard to see, even in the limited light. “Yes.”

  “Lucky goddamn man right now.”

She wanted to tell him he could always be lucky, but she bit it back. He wasn’t going to accept a “forever” for them. Not now. Maybe not ever.

  “Mouth,” he ordered again.

She twisted to face him, opening her mouth for his kiss. But he slid his slick fingers into his own, sucking on them for a moment, before taking that kiss, forcing her to taste herself on his tongue. It made her pussy clench and her moan into his mouth as his tongue swept through it.

“Fuck, baby,” he whispered against her lips. “Never had a woman who tasted so fuckin’ good.”

“You taste good, too.” She slipped her hand between them and ran her fingers over his erection. It flexed against her palm. “You need relief.”

She went to get to her feet again, and like earlier, he stopped her from getting up. “Stay. It can wait.”

  “Are you sure?”

“Yeah,” he grunted, tightening his arms around her again.

But she wasn’t sure she wanted to wait. Until his next words.

“She’d had enough.” He paused for a long moment, the crickets and the frogs in the distance the only sounds filling the air. “She wanted kids. I didn’t want any more. She left.”

There were a few things to unpack in his words. She didn’t know where to start, so she picked the least important to her first.

“You loved her.” She didn’t make it a question.

He didn’t answer, so she took his silence as one.

“She wanted kids, you didn’t. She pressured you, you weren’t having it, so she left,” she summarized neat and cleanly.

  “Just said that.”

“I’m just trying to get the complete picture.” Cait shifted in his lap, stared into his eyes and asked, “Any more?”

When he once again tensed against her, she waited. She blindly ran her fingers down the two vertical tattoos she had stared at and studied many times over the last few days. The tattoos she figured were the initials and birthdates for his children.

The two that were only one and two years younger than her. Two children who were no longer that. They were adults who may not want their father “seeing” a woman their age, since a year or two difference wasn’t much of a difference at all.

It shouldn’t weird her out, but it did. And if it weirded her out, then the closeness in age probably bothered Magnum, too.

Her mother was right, even though she didn’t want to admit it. Magnum was old enough to be her father, if he’d been very young when she was born. And there were plenty of teenaged parents out there. He’d been too young when his own children were born. Most likely seventeen for the first one.

Nobody was ready to be a parent of two children at eighteen. She wasn’t even sure she was ready to be a mother of one at twenty-five.

  “Got two kids.”

  “The tattoos.”

His body jerked stiffly against her again, proving this was a topic he did not like to discuss. “Was a young, stupid fuck. Learned a hard fuckin’ lesson. Seventeen-year-olds aren’t ready to be parents. Had no choice, lived with it as best as I could, then fucked up again not even a year later. At eighteen, after barely gettin’ my GED, it was hard to support a family of four. Really fuckin’ hard. Almost impossible.”

He hesitated for a few seconds, almost as if he was going back to the past.

“My mother busted her ass to raise me and my sister. All she did was work ‘til she couldn’t work anymore. Had to tell the woman that I stupidly knocked up my girl. Thought she’d never stop fuckin’ cryin’ when I did. She hated my girl, too, which made it even worse. She really fuckin’ hated I was gonna be tied to her for life. But my father abandoned us so there was no fuckin’ way she was lettin’ me abandon my daughter. I didn’t.”

Cait remained silent while his words stopped, but his jaw kept working.

His deep voice, though kept low, filled the night air. “When I told her about my baby’s momma carryin’ my son, my mother could hardly look at me. When she did, it was with nothin’ but disappointment and sadness. Hated that I let her the fuck down. Hated it. But promised I’d do right and be there for my kids, hustle to take care of ‘em. Against my better judgment, which was already lackin’ in that whole fuckin’ situation, married their mother. Planned on a life of bustin’ my ass like my mother. But what I was doin’ wasn’t good enough for my wife, not good enough for my kids, not good enough for me. Told me I wasn’t man enough...”

Her stomach churned. Fuck, that had to hurt him to hear that.

“She left, found someone she thought would do better than me. He gave my kids shit I couldn’t. Gave my wife what she wanted. ‘Cause of that, I had nothin’. Unlike your father, at the time I couldn’t afford the legal fight to see my own fuckin’ kids. She shut me out no matter how many times I begged to see ‘em. She lied to the pigs, lied to the judge, and got a restrainin’ order. For her. For my babies.”

He stopped talking, but he wasn’t done. She could feel there was so much more he needed to say and hoped he would. Her heart was breaking for him because she could tell he loved his kids, wanted to be a good father and that opportunity was taken away from him. Not by choice.

Cait wanted to kill that woman and she didn’t even know the bitch’s name.

She squeezed his arm in encouragement and eventually he continued. “Had nothin’ ‘til I found the club. Found my place within it. Got my shit together and made scratch any way I could. Every dime I made that didn’t go to keepin’ me breathin’ or child support, got stashed away for a retainer and legal fees. Fought that shit, but by then, like you, they were old enough to make their wishes known to the judge.”

“So, you got to see your kids?” she asked with false hope, already dreading his answer.

“By then my ex poisoned them against me with all the lies.”

“Sounds like what my mom did. Or tried to do.”

His fingers squeezed her bare thigh. “But you turned that around, C
ait. You gave your dad a chance. Mine ain’t willin’ and they’re old enough to do so. They’re old enough to see me for who I am and make their own fuckin’ decision. They refuse to.” Warm breath forced from between his lips brushed over her cheek. “Can’t force ‘em, either.”

Cait closed her eyes and pressed her forehead against his strong jaw, cupping the opposite cheek, holding him close. “I’m sorry.”

He swallowed so hard, she could hear it.

“So, no, don’t want any more kids. Feels wrong to bring more into the world when I couldn’t do it right the first time. Can’t live through losin’ any more kids because their mother decides I ain’t good enough. Too old for that shit anyway. Now at the age where my babies could be havin’ their own babies. Missed out on bein’ a father, gonna miss out on being a grandfather.”

Cait’s throat was tight and her eyes stung. He tried to keep his voice level, like it didn’t affect him, but it did. The pain in his words, even though he tried not to reveal it, was clearly heard and felt.

And the unfairness of it all made her angry.

“What made that bitch think she was better than you?” She pulled back and narrowed her eyes. “What made her a better parent than you?” She inhaled deeply, the blood rushing to her ears. “It’s wrong. Why do people do that to their kids? It’d be one thing if you were abusive or... or...”

“Caitie,” he murmured, brushing her hair back and holding it away from her face with his fist.

  “No. It’s wrong.”

  “Yeah.”

“They lost out because of their mother poisoning them. It’s not to protect them, it’s selfishness. This is why I get so angry with my mother. I lost out on almost fifteen years with my father. It hurts my heart every time I think about it. I know it bothers him, too.”

  “She—”

“No. No excuses. Don’t make even one for her. Don’t make any for the mother of your children, either. I’m sorry this happened to you and I’m sorry this happened to your kids. They missed out on knowing a great man.”

  “Nothin’ great about me.”

She grabbed his chin and yanked his head toward her. “Bullshit. Look where you’re at. Here. Now. Look what you’re doing to help me. You didn’t have to. You could’ve told me to fuck off. You’re here out of your comfort zone dealing with something that wasn’t yours to deal with. You were also prepared to bust your ass to provide for your kids. That right there, Magnum, is selflessness, not selfishness like your ex. That’s what makes you a great man. Not how much money you make or what material objects you can buy, but true greatness is in here.” She placed her hand over his heart. “You were willing to work hard and love even harder. And there’s nothing more genuine than that. And that’s why I—” She swallowed her next words and her chest compressed at where her thoughts automatically went. What had been right on the tip of her tongue.

He jerked his chin out of her hand. “You what?”

  “I... appreciate you.”

“Same. Got a fire in you, baby. You’re a strong, capable woman. The shit that happened to you could’ve broken you if you had let it. You didn’t. You wanted to fight back and not let it eat you alive. But glad you ain’t tryin’ to do it on your own.”

“I should’ve gone to the police immediately.” Before she showered, before she washed away any possible evidence. But her confusion and unsurety had ruled her thinking at the time. And it was quite possible they wouldn’t have believed her anyway. She’d heard those victim’s nightmares all too often.

“Yeah. You didn’t. Now we’re dealin’ with it.”

“You’re dealing with it,” she corrected.

“Yeah, baby,” he said softly. “I’m gonna deal with it. Promise you that.”

  Chapter Thirteen

He was out of time. If he didn’t find out the truth by the end of today, this shit would follow them back to Pennsylvania. And once they headed back home, things could get really fucking messy.

Not just with finding out who was on that video, but with Cait’s family. Also, between the clubs.

At this point, he expected a lot of shit to go down. However, Cait hadn’t heard a word from Dawg, so he figured they didn’t know Magnum was in NY with his daughter. Yet.

He should be crossing his fingers, his toes and his damn balls right now. He needed to get ahead of that situation, if possible. He just didn’t know how to go about it.

One reason being, he wasn’t sure how things would go between him and Cait.

The best thing would be, after this week was over, if Cait told Regan they were no longer seeing each other. That they had “broken up” and she promised to never see him again. It might squash Regan’s concern and possibly stop Dawg from getting involved.

They go home, go their separate ways and no one but her mother and stepfather would be the fucking wiser.

  Easy.

But life was never fucking easy. It was rare shit ever went smoothly.

Just like trying to figure out who the fucker was that needed to die.

As he stared at the ceiling with Cait still sleeping next to him, he heard a fucking clock ticking in his head.

  Tick motherfucking tock.

Yeah, Magnum wouldn’t be offered a spot on D’s crew any time soon. He’d suck at being a Shadow. But it was what it was.

And unless he went against Cait’s wishes and got D involved...

Hell, there would be way too many questions now if he did.

He promised Cait he’d deal with it. He needed to nut up and deal with it.

If he had to take out both of those Gallo bastards, he would. Just to be sure. To make sure Cait was safe. To make sure any woman those fuckers set their eyes on remained safe.

Would the world miss those two rich assholes?

Maybe their sister and even richer parents.

  Fuck.

He hardly slept last night, even after fucking Cait twice. He should’ve been knocked out cold after draining his balls dry. He wasn’t. Instead, he went over everything the Gallo brothers had said to him or Cait during that retreat. He picked every word apart. Every gesture, every reaction. There had to be something there somewhere.

Not a confession, but maybe a clue.

What bugged him the most was Drew Gallo blaming his fucking brother while Nate Gallo claimed his innocence.

The younger Gallo had the opportunity and the motive but he hadn’t come across as acting guilty when confronted. He could be a psychopath and be able to hide his guilt. Or truly believe what he did wasn’t wrong.

Magnum scrubbed a hand over his bald head and then down his face. The only time he’d felt this out of control over a situation was in that courtroom fighting for his kids. He walked out of there empty and defeated. The pain had been as intense as being kicked directly in the nuts.

He would not leave New York defeated.

Then it hit him. Drew had said he knew what his brother’s naked body looked like because they used the same locker room at the fucking country club. If Drew knew what Nate looked like, then Nate would know what Drew looked like.

His heart was pounding as he shot up in bed and glanced at the clock. Fuck, it was only four a.m.

Cait groaned as she rolled away from his side onto her back, taking the sheet with her. He leaned over and kissed her awake.

“What?” she asked sleepily once her eyes blinked open.

“You know what room the youngest Gallo is in?”

She stretched her body long, her arms over her head, as she yawned loudly.

So goddamn beautiful, even half asleep with her hair a mess, creases on her face and not a touch of makeup.

And totally naked. The way he liked her.

“Nate?” she asked on another yawn.

  “Yeah, Nate.”

She turned her head and looked at the clock. When her head twisted back, she wore a frown. “It’s four.”

  “Yeah. Asked a question.”

She rubbed at her eyes and sat up
, the sheet falling down around her waist and her tits suddenly catching his attention. He forced his gaze back up to her face. He needed to stay on track.

“Why would I know what room he’s in?”

Because that obsessed motherfucker invited you? “Think you can find out?”

Her blonde eyebrows shot up her forehead. “Now?”

He ground his teeth and dug for any patience he had left. This whole situation was working on his last nerve. “Yeah, baby.”

“No one’s awake... except for us.” She fell back to the mattress and pulled the sheet over her, yawning a third time. “And I wouldn’t be awake if you hadn’t woken me. Why are you awake?” She reached out and stroked his cheek which was now rough with an overnight growth of stubble. “I’d like to see you with a beard.”

Jesus fuck. She was going to soon see his dick inside her. She needed to stop being so tempting. “Cait, need you to pay attention.”

Her brows knitted together. “Before I have coffee?”

He sighed, dropped his head to stare at his own lap, then shook it. “Cait...”

She brushed her knuckles along his stubble. “I’m teasing. Sort of. But really, you with a beard... Not a long one, but short and tight.”

Magnum moved until he was over her, caging her in with his arms and legs. “Baby, c’mon.”

Her expression turned serious. “It’s too early. I’m not going to wake anyone up.” She lifted an index finger. “I can try the front desk, but I’m not sure they’ll tell me.”

“They might. Not like you’re strangers.” Magnum grabbed the handset off the receiver by the bed, passed it to her and pressed “0.”

She put it to her ear and locked gazes with him. A little smile curled her lips.

“Not growin’ a beard,” he grumbled.

She opened her mouth to respond, but said, “Yes, hello. This is Cait Nicholson in three-fifteen,” instead.

He had no idea if Nicholson was her stepfather’s last name or Dawg’s. He’d never heard either.

“Yes... Good morning to you, also... I’m sorry to bother you, but I have a problem. Actually, an emergency, which is why I’m calling you so early... I need to find my boss, Nate Gallo, and I forgot to ask him his room number. He’s not answering his cell phone, so he must have it turned off... No, unfortunately, it can’t wait... Yes, I know... I have information he needs immediately.”
