My Property: A Steele Fairy Tale Page 5

“Wow, I wonder if I’ll ever get over the way you make me feel,” I quietly complained even though I loved being his.

“I hope not,” he murmured against my lips, the warmth of his breath making me moan.

“Me either, but it makes me so horny that I want you right now.”

“After we get some food in us, I’m going to fuck you until the sun comes up.”

“Let’s eat,” I cheered, moving away from him.

“I could eat you right now,” he whispered in my ear, biting the flesh then sliding his mouth down my neck. I was ready to go right in this spot, but then he pulled back. He looked like he was in pain. That was when I noticed his cock was hard and pressed against his zipper. I hid my smile and walked in front of him.

  “Don’t think I didn’t see that.”

“I have no clue what you’re talking about.”

“Esta bien, mi amor. Vas a ver,” he nodded.

  “What does that mean?”

“It fine, my love. You’ll see.” Uh oh. I pretended to look contrite, but couldn’t because I was looking forward to what he had in store for me. He took my hand in his and led me into the house. I didn’t even get a look inside before my sisters had their arms around me again.

“Oh, Diana. Please tell us you’re okay.”

“Yes, I am actually, and hungry, so if you’ll excuse me, I need food.” I walked past them and saw the large living room with vaulted ceilings. The inside of this house looked like a ski chalet. It was gorgeous and the smell of takeout enticed me to sit on the smaller of the three sofas that surrounded a wide coffee table. Diego grabbed a plate and let me top it off with what I like. There was a mix of chicken, ribs, Chinese, and even pizza. It was like a buffet.

“Wow, hungry much?” I asked jokingly.

“Well, there’s something we need to tell you, Diana.”

  “What?” I asked.

“We’re pregnant,” they said at the same time. I was on my feet with my plate in hand hugging the girls.

Diego cheered his brothers for succeeding. I wanted to laugh at how proud the men were, like it was a test of their manhood or their Alpha prowess. It made me curious if that would happen to us too. After we all sat back down and both of our plates were full, Diego joined me on the sofa. “Does that always happen? I mean to get pregnant so fast.”

“No, it doesn’t. It just means that Hector and I have great swimmers,” Alejandro cockily replied with a smug grin. He pulled Tara on his lap, rubbing her belly and stealing a kiss.

After the good news, we had to discuss the bad. By the time we were done, the men were furious and my sisters were in tears.

“Diana, we have the same picture of the family. We could make a copy for you.”

“Thank you, Lara,” I said. It was the last photo we took as a family before my parents died in the robbery. I cried silently. Diego grabbed my plate and set it down before lifting me into his arms.

“It’s been a long day for us. We’re going to bed.”

He took me into his bedroom that was as large as the living room with a king-sized bed that rested on a large platform. He set me down on my feet. Slowly and silently he undressed us both. Instead of mauling each other like we planned, he carried me onto the bed and made passionate love to me.

  Chapter Nine

  Diego

  Two months later…

There had been nothing on the people who broke into her house and vandalized it. The length of time was pissing me off because that meant the threat was still out there. We were able to retrieve the project for the company but that was it. After it was approved, I got her to agree to quit her job.

Now we’re on our way to Spain to meet my parents. I figured it was time she met them and that they found out all three of their sons would be having babies. Diana was only one month along. It was a bit of a downer when she wasn’t pregnant right away, but I knew it didn’t always happen like that. My parents had me late in life and my brothers after that. We were six years apart in age, just like Diana and her sisters.

We were on the company jet and her hands shook as she tried to take a sip of orange juice. She’s nervous like they’re going to eat her, but what she doesn’t understand is that she’s the only one for me. They’ll love her because she was made to be mine.

“Calm down, Diana. It’ll be perfect. They are going to love you. I know it.”

“They didn’t like my sisters,” she reminded me. That was her sisters being overly paranoid. They were happy and excited for the family to come, just not as much as they will be for us.

“It’s not that. Your sisters and my brothers are young and you know what it’s like to be around them when their excited. We have sensitive ears. Screaming and screeching is twice as loud.”

“Oops. I’ll talk to them later when we return home.”

“You don’t have to. They were still thrilled. They just put in ear plugs,” I teased. My parents, in their sixties, were excited about the growing family. Losing my grandparents came as a shock to them. My mother’s parents, the ones who had gifted the houses to the ladies, had died at ninety-five which is young by our standards. On average, those like us lived to be about one fifty. Another anomaly was that mates usually died together or close to it. My grandparents were no exception to the rule. My grandfather died four hours after my grandmother who’d been killed in a car accident while someone was texting. The tragedy was that it didn’t have to be that way. Senselessness came with smart phones. We had a hard time dealing with it for the past six months, but having our mates in our lives somehow filled that pain. Maybe the babies were a way to make the loss easier to bear for my mother.

I watched her as she nervously played with her nails. Her profile was beautiful, but she needed some reassurance. I grabbed her hand, halting her twiddling.

“Diana, I love you,” I told her. She looked at me shocked. Immediately, I understood why. In the two months we’d been together, I never said it aloud. I thought and felt it with everything that I was. I loved her before she met me, but this was the first time I spoke it out loud. “I should have told you that from the start. I have from the first time you looked as if you’d kill me for talking to you like that at the station.”

“I love you too, Diego,” she confessed. She unbuckled her seatbelt and climbed into my lap.

“We’re landing soon, but I’m going to steal a kiss first,” I moaned when her tongue attacked my neck. Her lips sucked on me without causing a mark, but she was making me too hard. She had a dress on, and we had ten minutes to kill. With a smirk, I lifted her off just enough to unleash my cock from my pants and pulled her panties to the side as I settled her onto my length, slowly helping her slide down. I groaned when I bottomed out in her hot pussy.

She tossed her head back while bouncing on my cock. I palmed her ass, then gave her a hard smack, sending her over. She cried out my name and I emptied my load deep inside her. She looked hot as hell when thoroughly fucked. These last two weeks I haven’t been able to go more than a few hours without being balls deep in her pussy. It had to be the pregnancy because she snuck into my office and eager to get nailed on my desk daily.

I helped her get cleaned up in the bathroom before we took our seats for landing. It was going to be a fun trip. There was so much I wanted to show her and the thought of making love to her in my favorite places made it all the better. I’d lived in Spain for three years from the ages of twelve to fifteen. Unlike other boys my age, I didn’t hunt females with my dick. With my shifter abilities, I spent my time outdoors and it made life interesting to explore the woods, old ruins, and by going fishing.

My parents were waiting as we landed. The moment we got off the plane they had their arms around me. “Diego, mijo, todo esta bien?” I was more than fine, but my mother still worried about me.

“Si, mama. I want to introduce you to my lovely mate, Diana.” I pulled Diana close to me and said, “Mi amor, these are my parents, Emilio and Ana.”

“Hello. It’s so wonderful to meet you.”

  “It is our pleasure.”

“Come, let us get to the casa. It’s about to storm.”

We got in the car to head to the villa and I told them of the threat to her. Although we hadn’t had trouble since that day, I wanted to be sure it remained that way, so I thought the trip would be a great idea. They asked her at least twenty questions and my woman answered perfectly.

When we got to the house, I told my parents I wanted Diana to take a nap and my mother agreed, saying “It was a long flight.”

“It’s not just that. Mama, Papa, Diana and I are going to have a baby.” A gasp came from my mother before a squeal of delight. She hugged Diana so tightly I thought she would crush her.

“Wow, okay. I thought you’d like that. Lots of grandbabies all at once.”

“Yes, we will have to go back to the US.”

“And we will, my love,” my father said.

“Excuse me.” I led her away from them and into the bedroom.

“You know I don’t need to rest. I’m fine,” she argued, but I could see she was tired. Diana didn’t sleep on the plane for very long.

“Humor me,” I pleaded. She nodded, then got comfortable while I went to shower. When I came out she was sound asleep. I went downstairs to have a brief chat with my parents. They were already impressed with the woman Diana was and had heard wonderful things from Diana’s sisters. That was good because the trip was all about relaxing and having a great time.

  Chapter Ten

  Diana

The two weeks in Spain had been bliss, but we had to get back to dealing with life after the robbery. With Diego around, I felt perfectly safe, however, there were times he would have to attend meetings without me. Today was the first day I would start working with their company. My boss sent all the documents for the architectural projects and renovations to my new computers. I looked at some of the files from the project that I’d been working on before the robbery. When I got to the third file, I noticed two of the designs had been submitted from the only man at the firm, but the image was distinctly mine. In fact, there had been my trademark tick slash with a D in one corner and a B in another on the right side of the layout.

I nearly collapsed in my chair from the shock. I knew that he was frustrated by the fact I was growing as an architect and becoming one of the boss’s favorites. He would know that I was going out of town, so he would have had time to sneak into my place without being caught.

“Diana.” I lifted my head to see Alejandro looking at me expectantly. “What are you still doing here? The emergency fire alarm is going off.” He ran up to me and scooped me out of my chair before I could say another word.

We were out in the street as the fire department arrived. An hour later we were let back, after discovering the company above us had an electrical malfunction. It was put out by the staff, but they made us exit for safety reasons. I went to my office and headed to my computer in order to look at the images again when Diego ran into the room and pulled me from the chair. He held me tight.

“I got a call about the fire. God, I’m so glad you’re okay.”

“Diego, there’s something else. The prints given by another staff member from my old company were ones that were missing.”

  “What do you mean?”

“They were on my home computer. Look, you see this?” I asked, pointing to the markings.

  “Yes,” he growled.

“Those are my personal watermarks imbedded into the program. The lazy thief didn’t bother to copy my work onto a new file. They used my original.”

“I’m calling the detectives. I want to rip his throat out, but you’re my number one priority. I will get him before he even has a chance to come near you.”

He took the detective’s card out of his wallet and called him.

“Hello, this is Diego Lopez regarding the Bacon case.”

“Yes, of course, we don’t have anything new at the moment.”

“Diana found something that has been under our noses for weeks.” He explained what happened and was told the police would look into it immediately after they received the files from us. Within two hours they managed to get a search warrant for Tom Mayer, my former asshole co-worker. Apparently there was enough cause for it when my former boss let them look at his work computer. I’d wished they’d done that months ago, instead they’d twiddled their thumbs.

We left the office and headed home. The girls didn’t work so they were making dinner for the rest of us. When we arrived, the guys were livid and ready to attack Mayer on their own. “Let the cops handle it,” I said

“If not, maybe you all can lead him up to our house and have him get attacked by wolves,” Lara said absently, licking the spoon for the spaghetti sauce. Hector looked at her with a new eye.

“Baby, what have you been cooking in the kitchen?”

“Vengeance,” she said with a smirk.

“Dude, you must be having a boy,” Alejandro teased.

“It would seem so. Damn, baby, calm down. Good plan, but damn. Leave the wicked shit to us.” He took her in his arms, kissing her. “We’re going to be late for dinner.” He grabbed her legs and back, cradled her in his arms, then carried her out the door.

I laughed, and Diego grabbed me around the waist. “You think that’s funny, baby. I’m tempted to take you to bed.”

“After you feed me,” I said, pushing out of his arms and walking into the kitchen.

Later that night, we made love until the sun came out. Thank fuck, it was Saturday because I wasn’t going anywhere.

  Chapter Eleven

  Diego

“Little piggy, let me in,” I sang against the door.

“Not gonna happen. My hair isn’t ready,” she called out, teasing me. I wanted to get a hold of her for a few minutes. Hell, I could have her coming in a minute and I was already there. She could get back to making herself pretty even though she was perfectly beautiful on her own.

“I’ll huff and puff and knock this door down,” I called out. I heard feet and then the lock, rubbing my hands together in success, but it wasn’t the person I wanted to see.

My sister-in-law opened the door. “Calm down, Wolfie. We’re getting her ready for your wedding. Take your ass back downstairs. We’ll be there in a few minutes.”

“You are lucky, piglet,” I growled at her.

Lara made her sister look like a sweetheart. Diana was the smart, straight and narrow one, but Lara was the bulldozer. “Whatever. You’re the lucky one. My sister is the best. So get your fuzzy mug downstairs.”

I snarled at her, then turned around and left.

My brothers were both downstairs laughing hard. They had gotten married earlier in a double wedding. Most twins didn’t want to do everything together, but the four of them were too carefree to be bothered. They were in the middle of purchasing homes near the one we all shared. It was to become Diana and I’s main residence as we worked.

“Cálmate, Diego. You’re getting a bit wild. Remember most of the guests don’t know what we are. You don’t need to accidentally reveal the truth if you lose your cool, so calm down.”

“I do recall two antsy bastards earlier, so leave me alone.”

“Yes, and it’s our turn to tease.”

“Relax, you’ll have her spread out naked on the nearest surface as soon as the guests leave.”

“I bet he won’t make it that long,” Hector added, jabbing me in the ribs.

“That is a fact. If it wasn’t for your cockblocking wife, I would have been able to take the damn edge off.”

“Haha, payback is a bitch, brother,” Hector ribbed. I was going to belt him because I’d gone all night staying away from my bride. My parents made me even though this human ceremony was for show. We were mated already and my baby grew in her womb.

“Stop looking so evil. People are going to think you’re not looking forward to marrying Diana,” my father said, coming
up to fix my tie.

  “Sorry, I’m just…”

“You want her, son. We all have been down that road.” I was about to lose my mind when I finally heard the music begin. We held the wedding in a large hall because it was almost Christmas and the weather was cold. The gathering included around sixty guests. A few friends and some family came. We kept it small, but beautiful. Even though we were inside, it looked like summer in the meadow, white and purple flowers with ribbons were the main décor along with trellises with ivy and purple morning glories. Everything was perfect, but all I cared about was the stunning creature that was taking her time getting to me.

Her sisters marched down the aisle and then everyone stood as her music came on. I took a deep breath and held it. I felt like a wild beast. Hector had his hand on my shoulder, keeping me still as the doors opened and the most enchanting woman appeared. She was on the arm of her grandfather who came up from Florida for this. He was smiling at her before giving me a warning glare. I could never do anything to hurt her.

We had met briefly before the ceremony. He and his wife were good people. I thanked them for raising her with love. She deserved happiness and I didn’t just want it to start with me.

He laughed when I didn’t quite let her get to me before I broke free of my brother’s hold. The officiant got started and I took my bride to the altar after giving her grandfather a hug.

“You should have let me in,” I growled against her ear.

“You’re a big bad wolf. You know I can’t. Maybe you should have knocked the door down,” she whispered back. A loud cough by my brother reminded us that we were in the middle of something important. I’d get her ass later.

Before we knew it, they were pronouncing us man and wife and I had her in my arms kissing her like I hadn’t in forever. The crowd began cheering and laughing. Then I set her down, grabbed her hand and ran away with her. The reception was in the next room, but I had something I really needed to show her in the dressing room.
