His gorgeous tumescent penis appeared in its full glory. Just like its owner, it was perfect, or at least it seemed perfect to me. I put my palm around it and bent down to take it in. The skin of the head was pink with a light-blue hue and soft like velvet. Its veins bulged along the length of its shaft. I took it in down to my throat and then gently and slowly slid it out. I licked its head and then took it all in again. Alexander released a shaky breath and his hand moved to my hair. I increased the speed of my movements and cupped his large testicles with my hand. I rubbed it with my palm and sucked it. Alexander growled, threw his head back, his muscles contracting, and he came. I felt the thick, hot sperm on my tongue.
“Oh, God, Alexia,” he hissed between his teeth and continued to ejaculate.
When he finished, I stood and licked my lips. I straddled him and very slowly slid his still-aroused dick inside me.
Our gazes met, and in his eyes, I saw love, great love, and admiration. What had I done to deserve such a man? I didn’t know the answer, but I didn’t care what it was either. All that mattered was we were both madly in love and had a wild desire for each other.
I started to slowly move up and down his rock-hard penis. The muscles of my vulva gripped him tightly.
“Oh, yes, my love. I want to feel your heat,” he moaned and went even deeper inside me.
I put my hands on his shoulders and, with his help, gradually upped the tempo of my movements. We gasped for air. The sensation of his penetration was sublime.
“Oh, baby, what are you doing to me? I’m irretrievably lost in you,” he whispered, moving his pelvis up the entire time to meet my thrusts.
He came up to kiss my neck and suck on my skin. He pushed up one of my breasts and took the erect nipple in his mouth. Then he raised his head and kissed me. Commandingly, he coiled his tongue around mine. Our tastes merged. Our tongues chased, found, and touched each other, insatiable for one another. My sex hungrily squeezed his cock. Hot waves washed over our bodies. I felt the sweet, indescribable pleasure of our mutual love, and the sensation was like no other.
“Yes, baby… Yes… I want us to come together… right now.” And his words made me explode. I came, my whole body convulsing uncontrollably. I shouted, screamed his name, and lost myself in ecstasy. His hot sperm poured deep inside me and combined with my own juices.
I relaxed on top of him, breathless. We were both breathing heavily, having merged our souls and hearts into one.
“Oh, Alexander, it was… amazing.”
“It’s always amazing with you, baby. Always.”

I woke up around nine. I was hugging Alexander’s pillow, which was sweet with his scent. Mmm… He smelled so nice, but he wasn’t there. He’d gotten up, probably to work. I frowned—this man didn’t know how to rest. Still sleepy, I got out of bed, wrapped my dressing gown around me, and went into the other room. As I expected, he was on his laptop, viewing some architectural drawings.
“Good morning, honey,” I greeted him.
Alexander raised his handsome head and held out his arm toward me, beckoning me over. I sat in his lap and put my arms around his neck.
“Good morning, baby.” He put his palms on my face and pressed his soft, warm lips against mine.
“It’s Saturday—I was hoping to see you next to me when I woke up.”
“I got up half an hour ago. I couldn’t sleep any longer and wanted to see the drawings of the new hotel anyway.
“I’m worried you’re overworking yourself. I need you, Alexander. Promise me you won’t think about work at least during the weekend and will try to get some rest.”
“I can’t promise you that,” he said earnestly.
“You’re impossible.” I scowled. I didn’t want him to burn himself out, but he couldn’t get this through his thick head.
I glanced at the monitor, but he turned my face to him so I would look at him instead. “Don’t worry about me,” he said in a raspy voice.
“How am I supposed to not worry about you? I love you.” I caressed his beautiful face with my index finger.
“You haven’t even the foggiest idea how happy it makes me to hear this.” He held me tight against him. “I have good news. The police have finally apprehended Ali Najam—the guy who left the bomb in my hotel.”
Dear God…
His words made my heart beat heavily in my chest. I’d always believed in God and He had heard my prayers. The person guilty of the deaths of so many innocent people had finally been captured. After so much stress.
Nobody knows how much time they have left on Earth. And if we were being honest with each other, we would all have to admit we’d been afraid for ourselves or our nearest and dearest at least once. For life is a priceless gift, a gift for which we have to be grateful as long as we have it.
Now that there was substantial progress in the investigation, I could stop fretting so much, but not completely, because the identity of the person who’d ordered the bomb was still unknown. Who had ordered this insidious crime? Who?
Tears started to run down my cheeks. “Oh God. Thank you.”
“Don’t cry. I told you they’d catch him.”
Wiping my tears away with my fingers, I asked, “Are you going to the police station today?”
“Yes, after breakfast.”
“May I come with you?”
“No, no way.” He frowned.
“Why?” I didn’t understand.
“Because I don’t want you to. End of discussion.” His words made me wrinkle my nose. “Don’t pout. There’s no point in you seeing this bastard. It’s depressing in the police station.”
And I suddenly understood. He simply wanted to spare me the unnecessary stress. There was nothing I could help him with there anyway.
“I see.” Wrapping my arms around him, I held him to me.
He gently kissed me on the neck. Sensing my anxiety, he quietly murmured, “Everything will be fine, baby. Don’t worry.”
“I hope so,” I whimpered.
Alexander hugged me tight and cradled me in his arms. I rested my head on his shoulders. We stood like that in silence. In the end, he said, “I’m hungry. Will you order something for breakfast?”
I reluctantly pulled away from him. “Of course. What do you feel like eating?”
“Pancakes with bits of ham and cheese,” he replied, gently caressing my hair and rubbing his nose against mine.
“I’ll make a call right away.” I got up from his lap and, at the door, turned to him. “I’ll pack my bags. Do you want me to get your luggage ready too?”
“Yes, baby. I’ll be very grateful.”
“Okay.”
I went out of the room and immediately ordered breakfast. Quickly, I packed Alexander’s things and then moved on to mine. I took out my father’s gift—the statuette of Burj Al Arab—and put it between my clothes so it wouldn’t break. When it was time for the baby clothes, I picked up the onesie and went to the windows, so I could see it better in the light of day. It was so cute, so tiny and all. I smiled and then noticed Alexander standing at the doorframe, watching me.
What the hell? How long had he been watching me? I didn’t want him to get the wrong idea about my excitement. I stared at him, but his expression didn’t reveal what kind of thoughts were going through his head.
“I was imagining how it would look on the baby.” I shrugged apologetically.
He came over to me, put his arms around my waist, and, giving me a searching look, said, “Alexia, you’re not thinking of having kids soon, are you?”
“No,” I replied quickly. “Not now, but after some time… I don’t believe there’s any woman who doesn’t want to be a mother.”
He flung aside an unruly lock of hair from my face. “Good.”
The doorbell rang. It was our butler bringing our breakfast.

We went to the airport, and when I stepped out of the car to board the airplane—even though it was only for a s
hort while—the heat hit me with full force. The concrete gave off the warmth it had absorbed from the sun, and it was unbearable, like I was in an oven.
I quickly climbed the steps to the airplane and saw Lily and Francesco had already taken their seats. They were holding hands and gazing at each other as if they were a pair of doves in love. I’d always observed with great interest the mating rituals of animals and birds in their natural habitats. And let’s be honest. We, people, aren’t much different.
I settled into the seat opposite Lily, whereas Alexander and Francesco went into the office compartment.
“How are you, Alexia?” she started.
“Fine. Much better. They caught the guy who left the bomb,” I informed her.
“Really? That’s great news.”
“And you, Lily? Did you and Francesco manage to patch things up?”
“Oh yeah,” she replied excitedly, her eyes gleaming. “I’m very happy, Alexia, and I think I’ve never been so happy. I love him insanely.”
“I now understand how you feel. Before, I didn’t know what it was like to be in love, to love someone madly and deeply, but now… I’d do anything for Alexander.”
I took my cell out of my bag and wrote a message to my father. We’re taking off for Zurich soon. I’ll text you when we land. Love you all!
I was just about to switch off my phone when it rang. It was my father.
“Hi, honey. I have a surprise for you.” He sounded excited.
“What is it?”
“I bought tickets, and on Saturday morning, we all land in Zurich. I decided there was no way I could miss my girl’s twenty-fifth birthday.”
“Oh, Dad. You’ve made me so happy.” The nice surprise moved me to tears. My father again proved—who knows how many times now—how much he loved me. I was thrilled. After so many months, I would finally see everyone. I so wanted to hug Johnny, who I’d not seen for a long time.
“I’ll send my flight details to your email so you know what time we land and at which terminal.”
“God, that’s what I call a surprise. I’m so glad.”
“Me too, darling. Have a nice flight. We love you.”
“Bye, Dad.”
I hung up and was still staring at the display when Lily asked me, “Is your father coming?”
“Yes, he’s bought everyone a ticket.”
“Good on Colin. Great surprise.”
Leaning back in my seat, I let out a sigh. “Well, now I’m certain I want to celebrate in some bar with my friends and family.”
She giggled at my words. “You’re not thinking, are you, that your imperious boyfriend will let us go to just any bar? I’m willing to bet he’s already booked the bar in his hotel in Zurich for your birthday party.”
“That’s probably exactly what we’ll do,” I said and smiled after giving it some thought. Yes, she was right. From what I knew about Alexander, he was unlikely to have been sitting on his hands. He’d probably arranged everything in secret by now.
“Sebastian called me,” said Lily, interrupting my musings. “He has a girlfriend now—some model. I don’t know how serious it is. He asked after you.”
Sitting up straight, I locked my eyes on hers. “And what did you tell him?”
“That you’re extremely happy with your boyfriend. What else would I say?” She pulled down her short skirt and gave me a playful look. “This cousin of mine really likes you.”
“Lily, that’s not funny.” I scratched my shoulder thoughtfully. “Do you think it’s a good idea to invite him to my birthday?” After all, Sebastian was my friend and, even though he’d told me he had feelings for me—the existence of which I hadn’t noticed at all—I couldn’t avoid him. It wasn’t right, and I didn’t want to do it anyway.
“Sure, why not? He’ll definitely come with his girlfriend. So I don’t see any problem.” She shrugged.
“I don’t know how Alexander will react. I also want to invite Roberto. In the end, it’s my celebration, so I should be able to invite whomever I want.”
I was concerned because I wasn’t sure whether Alexander would approve of my decision. But I didn’t want to stay away from friends just because I now had a serious boyfriend.
“Exactly,” she said encouragingly.
Our dear men joined us just as the pilot announced over the intercom that the airplane was ready for takeoff. Alexander sat next to me and reached for my belt to check whether it was fastened. I gave him a do-you-think-I’m-a-child look.
“What?” he asked, feigning incomprehension, even though he’d noticed perfectly well that he’d annoyed me. He winked at me and his lips curved in a sexy smile—the kind he knew had a massive impact on me. He leaned in and gave me a quick kiss. Then he intertwined his fingers with mine and put my hand on his lap.
“My father called me a little while ago. He’s bought tickets and they’re all coming on Saturday morning. I’m thinking of organizing a party and inviting my closest friends. What do you say?”
“Everything has already been taken care of, baby,” said Alexander firmly.
I glanced at Lily and she silently raised her eyebrow, saying with her eyes, What did I tell you?
“What do you mean you’ve taken care of everything?” I asked cautiously. I didn’t want us to argue again.
“I meant what I said—we’ll have the party at my hotel in Zurich. I’ve booked the bar and the restaurant for the occasion.”
“But we’ve not talked about it. How—”
“I wanted to surprise you.” He interrupted.
Without discussing it with me…
I took a deep breath. Oh, how I hated it when we fought. I just had to get used to the fact that he would control everything. This was how it would be from here on out. He wouldn’t change. This was his character, but so what? After all, I was going to celebrate in the most posh bar in Zurich, so I had no right to complain.
“Fine,” I whispered and turned to him.
His face beamed—he was happy and triumphant that he’d managed to get his own way without any resistance on my part. He lifted my hand and kissed each knuckle, pouring honey on my soul and sending a surge of the now-familiar tingles throughout my body.

We landed at Zurich Airport in the early evening and went to Alexander’s house in Küssnacht. I entered the living room and literally collapsed on the couch in front of the fireplace. I was quite tired from the long flight and wanted to stay at home instead of going to his parents’ for dinner.
Alexander sat next to me and pulled me to him. I rested my head on his shoulder and hugged him.
“Are you tired?”
“Very,” I replied and put one of my legs over his.
He kissed my hair and his fingers gently slid across my arm. “What do you say about me going to fill the Jacuzzi?” I didn’t reply, but only pressed myself tighter to him. “Sweetie, I get the feeling you’ll fall asleep in my arms. Do you want me to carry you to the bedroom?”
“No, don’t worry about it. I’ll make myself an espresso and join you.”
“Are you sure?” He turned his head to look me in the eyes.
“Yes. I’m sure.”
“Okay, I’ll be waiting for you,” he said and pressed his soft lips against mine. “I’m going to run the water now.”
He stood, and I lay back on the couch. I started to think how nice it would have been if we’d stayed in Dubai one more week. However, duty called. I was sure to be swamped with financial statements. I frowned at the thought. I’d always found it hard to get back into the swing of things after a holiday. The nice part was I would see Roberto. He was going to tell me about his holiday in the States, and I would tell him about mine.
I went into the kitchen to make myself a coffee. Immediately after drinking it, I felt its positive effect. Refreshed, I started to climb the stairs to the second floor with only one thought on my mind—to relax in the hot water, resting on the chest of my beloved.
Heari
ng my iPhone ring, I went back to the anteroom, where I’d left my bag when we got home and rushed to pick it up. It was Ralph.
“There better be something really urgent that you have to discuss with me,” I said, not hiding my annoyance.
What the hell did he want?
“I’m parked near Kraftberg’s house. We need to talk.”
“About what?”
“If you don’t come out, I’ll be forced to ring the doorbell.”
I knew Egli well enough to know he was capable of doing something like this.
“I’m coming right away.” I picked up the key and, as I was going out, asked myself how he’d found out I was back in Zurich. I saw him leaning against his two-seater BMW and hurried toward him. He opened the door for me, and I settled into the leather seat.
Ralph sat on the driver’s side and said, “Please don’t be hasty about leaving the bank.”
“Are you telling me you came all the way out here so we could talk about this right now?” I asked him in amazement.
He grabbed my hand with his. “I love you, Alexia, and I beg you—give me a second chance. I can’t sleep. I can’t focus on my work. I’m constantly thinking about you and all the mistakes I made.”
I leaned my head back against the seat. “This is precisely the reason I have to quit. Don’t you get it?”
He became angry and scowled. “For the love of God, don’t you have any feelings for me? None at all?”
I looked out the window. I could no longer look him in the eyes. It pained me to see how desperate he was, and I didn’t want him to suffer.
“I know I was a complete idiot,” he continued. “I was focused only on my work and didn’t give you the attention you needed. But one learns from his mistakes—”
“Please. Stop.” I interrupted and turned to him. “I’m tired and I have a dinner invitation. By the way, how did you find out I’m back in Zurich?”
He looked at me guiltily and retorted, “That’s not important.”
“On the contrary, it is,” I said angrily, pulling my hand out of his. “But I don’t have the time to talk about it right now. I have to go. We’ll talk on Monday.”
