Frantic, she rushed to the bedside phone, snatching up the receiver and intending to call 911. She got as far as 9-1 when something wrapped around her neck from behind and cinched tight, cutting off her air supply. She struggled wildly, but all to no avail. She tried to scream again but could not find the breath. Her vision began to gray around the edges, and she feebly tugged at the item around her neck and felt an absurd amusement to discover she was being strangled with one of her own bras.
At least it’s not a ruler, she thought and then lost consciousness.
