“Yes, she told me. Are you still going to live with us?” I don’t want Riley to leave.
The only people she has is Mason, Jay and I. I would hate for her to move out and go crazy. Mason walks around behind Riley and wraps his hands around her waist.
“I already talked to Jay about it; we are staying here until we can save enough money for our own house.” Mason says, and then kisses Riley’s cheek.
I look at Jay as he came up behind me and wraps his arms around me like Mason did with Riley, and then smile at everyone. Mason puts his hand on Riley’s stomach and rubs her stomach. I see a tear come from Riley eye, and how happy she is. This is how her life is supposed to go, Riley got her new beginning.

2 years later……….
“Daddy, Momma won’t let me have a cookie.” Little Sandra is running to her daddy telling him again.
“I’m sure momma, has a good reason.” Mason picked up our 2 years old daughter.
“It’s almost dinner time; I’ve told her time and time again that she can’t have sweets before dinner. Plus your cousin will be here shortly.” I say just as the doorbell rings.
Mason gets up to welcome in Jay, Chloe, and little Preston. Chloe and I didn’t finish college like we had planned, but we got the better deal with having both of our family’s together. We all stayed in Florida, since Jay has his shop here and I didn’t want to leave my only family that I had left. Mason did finish college when I was ready to pop with Sandra and he understood that I didn’t want to leave.
“Can I hold Preston, Aunt Chloe?” Sandra asks.
“Get up in the chair, so your dad can help you hold him.” Chloe tells her.
Chloe had gave birth to beautiful little boy in the middle of summer. Poor woman, the heat did not agree with her at all so when the doctor told her they were going to induce her, she was excited!
Jay and Mason, helped Sandra with holding Preston, while Chloe helps me finish up dinner and set the table. It is the first night that Mason and I settled in our house, so everyone is coming together to celebrate!
“How do you like everything?” Chloe asks me.
“I love it, but I miss your mom. We haven’t seen her since Sandra’s birthday.” I say.
“Yeah, she had to miss Preston’s birth because of her surgery. She can’t wait to meet him.”
While Chloe and I were talking about planning a trip to visit her mom sometime soon, someone knocks at the door.
I open the door, and there was Chloe’s mom. I jump up and down, and then gave her a big hug.
“Nice to see you too.” She says, giving me a hug back.
Chloe comes running from the kitchen when she heard her mother’s voice.
“I can’t believe you’re here! When, how?” Chloe ask pulling her mom into a hug.
“You owe it all to your lovely husbands, they planned this.” She says.
I was in awe; Mason had something to do with Chloe’s mom visiting. He knows how important she is to me.
“How long are you visiting?” Chloe ask, as we move into the living room so she can see the kids.
Momma Jan picks up Preston from Sandra, and sits on the couch, while Sandra crawls up beside her.
“Actually, Jay has convinced me to sell the house and move here.” She says looking at Preston. “But, I could never sell that home, so instead I am going to rent it out and move down here.”
“That’s great mom!” Chloe says. We both hang onto momma Jan until Jay interrupts us about dinner.
“Don’t you two need to finish dinner?” Jay asks us, I turn to look for Mason, but he wasn’t anywhere to be found.
“Yeah, yeah. “ Chloe says, as she swats Jay on the arm.
Chloe and I finish dinner, as everyone sat at the table but Mason was still nowhere to be seen. I was about to ask Jay where Mason went to, before I saw him come out from the bedroom with a box.
“Whatcha got honey?” I ask.
“Open it and find out.” Mason says, handing over the box.
I open the box and there sat a locket with a family picture of us 3 inside of it. “Mason, it’s beautiful, thank you!” I stand up to give him a hug and kiss. Hearing little Sandra saying yuck in the background, I pull away smiling at my husband.
“I just wanted to give you something nice.”
We get settled at the table to start eating. I look around at my family, thankful that I have them. I smiled at Chloe and Momma Jan, thinking to myself, without them, I wouldn’t be here today looking at my own family.
