“Nothing before you got here,” I beamed as I went before her. I then turned when I heard the door slide open and was just in time to see Sekkol as he disappeared outside as the doors closed after him.

“Sari, could you make us something to drink, please?” I asked the automated helper installed in Sekkol’s home.

“Would that be chilled or brewed?” Sari’s robotic yet clearly feminine voice pierced the air.

“Brewed,” I replied, knowing all too well Geneva loved nothing like a hot beverage.

“I have something grand planned for us today,” she said.

“The drinks are ready,” Sari said shortly, and I went to the kitchen counter and retrieved the goblet-like cups from the tray that had slid from the wall. As soon as I took the cups, the tray rolled inward, leaving no evidence it had been there.

I was excited as always, now that I wasn’t a wanted criminal, to tour the streets of Jupiter. Once outside, Geneva pulled me along, and I found it hard to believe she was over three hundred years old. She moved with great alacrity, and I couldn’t help feeling like a child at a carnival. I watched as the world buzzed around me, as hovercrafts whizzed by, accompanied by the cheerful hooting of the young. I watched as a little girl, her skin much like Sekkol’s and her dark hair braided and coiled atop her head, smiled and waved at me. I looked longingly at her, and when I looked over at Geneva, she was staring intently at me.

“You could make one of your own,” she intimated.

“I don’t know about that,” I said, though my heart had begun to flutter inside me at the possibility of it. “Can that happen?”

“No one knows,” she replied. “No human has ever conceived a child with a man from Jupiter before. If you do, you and Sekkol will be the first to parent such a child.”

The excitement within me grew, especially because I never thought I’d ever have children. After my parents’ death, my life had been plunged into what felt like a black hole in the Bermuda Triangle. I was lost, and I spent my days going through the motions, just existing until my number was up. Now something better waited for me, and I was growing nervous at the very thought of it.

“Don’t worry. You will make a great mother.” She patted my hand as if she could read my mind. “And with a mother like you and a father like him…” She stopped there, but she said more with her silence than her words could ever do justice.

I laughed at what she was insinuating, but she had given me, at that moment, something I had not felt in years: hope.

We spent the day touring the science center, and I was overwhelmed by the leaps and bounds in technology afforded to the people on Jupiter. They could make food simply by directing a laser-like beam onto a flat, white surface, adding some necessary data, and presto, which greatly explained what went on behind the walls in Sekkol’s home. They had equipment that could recreate body parts, add or subtract memory, and, of course, weave information into their version of the DNA strand.

I touched the back of my neck, where my transmitter used to be. It had been my only way of communicating with the people, but Sekkol had taken me to a different section of the building, where my ability to speak their language had been infused into my brain. Now I thought as they did and desired the same things as them, but I had decided to keep my memory. I didn’t want to lose any part of me, and forgetting my days on Earth would have left a void nothing could fill.

By the time I got back home, I was bursting at the seams with enthusiasm. I was anxious for Sekkol to get home, and I busied myself by getting ready for it. I hadn’t seen anything like lingerie on this planet, but I could make something that would take his breath away. I got cutting tools from the kitchen, and my hands worked quickly to make a satin bodysuit that ended at my bikini line. Everything was visible to the naked eye, and as soon as I heard him enter, I stepped into the shower and let the water soak me through.

He heard the water and came in… and froze at the door when he saw the spectacle before him. He looked me over several times, and I stood there, biting my lip, as I waited for him to move. But he remained immobilized. I smiled and walked over to him, leaving wet footprints all the way. I got to him and held his hand. Only his eyes moved as I placed his hand over my left breast, feeling his warmth already seeping through me. Then I took the other hand and did the same, and when he had them both, I wrapped my arm around his neck and pulled him down to my aching lips.

His touch sent shivers down my spine, and I felt his hands move as they squeezed me now.

“About time,” I muttered against his mouth, and I lost my breath when I felt his thumbs caressing my hardened nipples.

I traced my tongue along the outline of his lips and darted in and out of his mouth as I teased him. I heard him growl as he moved his hand and grabbed me around the middle, lifting me in the air and making long strides that brought us to the bed. He ripped the flimsy fabric from my body and tossed it aside before he stepped out of his dark suit, revealing hardened muscles that glimmered in the light.

“Let’s make a baby,” I said to him as he stood there.

He looked curiously at me, and then he pressed his palms on the bed on either side of me. “You do not even know what you ask of me.”

“I know it’s never been done, but we can try, right?” I asked and grinned sheepishly.

His face suddenly broke out into a smile. He grabbed me and then rolled on top of me. I could already feel his manhood throbbing, and I reached down and caught it in my hand. It had only been a few hours, but it felt like it had been too long since we made love. I spread my legs and used his erection to rub against me. When he lowered his head and caught my nipple in his mouth, my hand fell. He grabbed his member and repeated my motions. My body quivered as it grew hot with pleasure.

“What are you doing to me?” he breathed against my neck.

“Giving you everything,” I replied as I spread my legs and helped him inside me.

My muscles tightened around him, and when he stroked, he did so with a new purpose. We remained tangled in the sheets as the sounds of our moans filled the evening air and took us into the night. Sekkol seemed insatiable, and I was reluctant for him to leave my body. When I felt him shudder as he climaxed once more, I knew he was now spent.

Breathing hard, he rolled, pulling me with him into an embrace.

“Wow,” I said as I locked my fingers with his.

“Do you think that might do?” he asked.

I laughed before kissing him on the cheek. “I have no doubt about it.”

Before I fell asleep that night, my hand was planted on my abdomen, feeling what I knew to be a new life within me. I had all but forgotten about Earth now. Here, on Jupiter, I had found a new home and love. Just the thought made me sleep soundly.
