4)This is the same with a lot of reading, and as well as after a long-time watching television, it is the same. At this point, even training isn't very effective. Therefore, don't forget to rest properly when you are training. It's better to do a moderate amount of exercise every day than to Overdo it all at once.
In the next section, we will go through a set of training methods that will let you stop reading aloud while reading. This is a pivotal method to master to become efficient in speed reading. Let us learn it with thorough examples.
Training is divided into (1) Mark Training and (2) Word and number training.
Mark Training
Take a look at the figure shown below. A mark is made at the center of a circle, connected by a dotted line. Dotted lines are given to indicate eye movements. If it's a mark like this, you can't read it out loud, but you can only see it. Even if you want to read it in your head, you can't pronounce it because you don't have a proper pronunciation. However, these marks should be treated as if they were printed in type. Furthermore, since it is not a language but a sign, its information enters the right brain, and the left brain is completely at rest.
Training Method
1) Sit with your back straight. Place the book (Training Diagram) on the front of the face. The distance between the book and the face is about 30 ~ 40 cm. Move the view down from the top right of the page. At this point, don't distinguish between a circle and a dot. Look at the circle and a dot at the same time. That's the point.
2) During training, move the eye as if it were flowing, without stopping the eye movement. During the first practice, take one minute as a unit, and try to see the marks quickly and accurately. At first, you can only see the marks almost line by line, and the field of view is only about 1 / 2 of the line. After repeated training, one can catch a line of marks at a glance.
3) After three or four days of training, you will be able to read two or three lines at a time. Then, depending on the individual's optic nerve, some can see 1 / 3 of a page at a glance, and some can see 1 / 2 of a page at a glance. After about a week, you can see a whole page at a glance (the number of words on a page is 150).
4) After training in one minute, try out how long it takes to see 1,500 words (30 pages) and keep a record. As the training progresses, the time is shortened. This is by the time the training is complete; you'll be able to read 1,500 words (30 pages) in 15 seconds. In order to get through 30 pages in 15 seconds, you need to be able to flip the page quickly, in addition to eye movements. So, get into the habit of turning the pages as quickly as possible.
Word and Number Training
After completion of the Mark Training, the mark will be changed into words and numbers. In sign training, we use objects that are impossible to pronounce (marks). By this method, pronunciation can be possible. However, since the simple position of words and numbers makes no sense at all, there is a chance that even if read silently in mind it can be thought of as the same thing as sign training.
Since they are the same as the notations, they are not remembered when they are repeated in mind. Therefore, we have only to try to see them as clearly as signs do. This training is to change the way we read from thinking about each word and number one by one (silently reading in our heads) to reading from the right-hand side of the brain that makes a lot of text visible at first. When you train, you don't have to think about anything. To be able to see a whole page of words and numbers at a single glance requires constant practice. If-once from the mark into words, numbers, the eye movement changes, and the brain voice begins to appear again & then again to return to the mark training. If you really master this exercise, you will be able to read thousands of words per minute.
Training Method
1) As with Mark Training, put the book (Training Diagram) on the front of the face, the distance between the book and the face should be about 30 to 40 cm. Move the eyes down from the top right of the image. At this point, you must pay attention to the word but not about pronunciation.
2) During training, move the eye as if it were flowing, stopping the eye movement midway through. Practice in one minute during which time we should try to read the text correctly as soon as possible.
3) The first few pills can only be viewed in a few lines. Among those who have mastered sign training, there are those who will soon be able to read words as well as signs. After three or four days of training, you will be able to see two or three lines at once. As the training progresses, it becomes possible to see more lines, all the way up to ten and twenty lines. The field of vision will rapidly get widened.
This section deals with small training exercises that will help you increase your memory stability to cope up with the understanding of the text while doing speed reading.
Brain exercises are based on the human experience. The reason why people can master a high degree of civilization mainly depends on the brain, especially the power of the Neocortex. Mental activities such as memory, judgment, and thinking, which distinguish human beings from other animals, can be said to be carried out by the Neocortex. The study of the human brain is now being done from a variety of angles, but most of its great power cannot yet be scientifically explained.
On the contrary, in the human mind, there are also hidden even if we cannot imagine the power. The scientific explanation often follows the realization. So, in most cases, people get results before there is a scientific explanation. The most typical example is the herb. Herbs have been used since before their ingredients were analyzed. That is to say, some things which have not been explained by science are still adopted according to the law of human practice in real life. That is to say, in common with other training; it is better to be sure that "can" is more beneficial to training than to study "why." The brain function activation training divides into the memory training and the brain movement training of two kinds. Both are great for everything, including speed reading.
(1) Memory training
The increase in memory reflects the growth of human beings. All learning begins with a memory. If we cannot remember anything we have experienced, then we cannot learn anything at all. We can only grow like a baby and live by instinct. It's not just one person, but it's all human beings. If a certain law of practice cannot be passed on from generation to generation in the form of language, words, and other forms of memory, the human race will not return to progress. The human brain has an ability that we don't believe in ourselves, and the basis of that ability is a memory. In this sense, it can be said that the existence of a person is the accumulation of the memory of that person. His human nature, his decisiveness, his judgment, his creativity, are all the result of his memory.
Therefore, the cultivation of memory, a large number of records of high-quality information, is also determining a person as a person's state of expansion and qualitative improvement. So, the function of memory, analytically, is made up of three stages. One is to take what we have experienced, as if it were recorded in writing, and to "symbolize" the mind; the other is to "store" the symbolized thing in mind, and finally to take out the necessary "recall" from the stored thing.
These three operations are carried out correctly in order to become a memory function. As an aid to this memory, man invented words, paper, books, and so on, to the modern age, and even invented a memory device called the computer. In the sense of symbolization and storage of memory, the burden on the human brain has been greatly lightened. Or it can also be said that the symbolization, storage, the ability of a large extent of the extension.
If you just regenerate information, you can use computers and books, but there is no other way to choose from a huge amount of information, information that is useful for dealing with real-world problems, other than the unique judgment of the human brain. At first, the so-called information pollution caused people because alarm, but that was only because of the lack of human judgment of a large amount of information, that is to say, information, which is supposed to be an auxiliary means of Human Memo
ry Function.
Again, information is something that only works when it's digested. It's no use remembering what you can't digest. For example, the telephone directory. What's the point of writing down the whole book? It's enough to just remember your phone number for everyday use. So, it's important to know what information is really valuable to you.
As long as we firmly grasp this point, the increase in a person's memory brought about by memory enhancement really reflects his growth. In addition to super speed reading in the memory training, the general memory enhancement method, there are several things which are introduced to you one by one.
1. Reinforce an intuitive impression
An intuitive impression is easier to remember than a general one, such as when exchanging business cards with someone who "looks like a Fox." In addition, for the same reason, many imaginative people when they look at new words and concepts, always immediately associate them with other images or impressions, in order to enhance memory. And then recall it by the impression they have created for it in their intuitive memory.
2. To understand things and their meanings from the perspective of Interrelation
Everything is connected to everything. If you can think about and understand what you want to remember like why does it exist? How does this affect everything else? Then the memory of the event will be sharper and deeper.
3. Stay interested in remembering things and stay focused
It is always easy to remember what one likes and what one is interested in. Old people often unconsciously exude boastfulness in their conversations, and it is precise because only happy things remain in memory, and unpleasant things are forgotten. Having a strong curiosity with a happy mood to contact things will make memory doubled and arouse curiosity around people only in a calm mood.
4. Turn what you want to remember into an image
Often, what we see on TV or in the movies is more vivid than what we read in books. This is because language and words are remembered by the Left Hemisphere, images by the right hemisphere, and the right hemisphere dominates in terms of vividness and speed reading.
Training Method
1. Pick a book you like and open it anywhere. The person who has practiced Dantian inhalation uses the Dantian inhalation method. Read as much as you can in a minute, then close your eyes. Speed readers use speed reading. For those who can't, silent reading is fine.
2. write out the content of the text described in the article; it does not matter if the order is reversed, write as much as possible. You can only write six or seven words at first, but with practice, you can write 20 to 40 words. Make a note of how many words you can write after your training. The increase in the number of words would surprise you for real.
(2) Mental Training
The human brain is made up of about 15 billion cells. Each cell has a circuit called a convex contact. These bumps are sometimes attached to other cells and sometimes detached from other cells. When they do, some kind of signal is passed through them in turn, creating a high level of brain activity. But the average human uses only about one-tenth of the 15 billion brain cells said to be in use. Even Einstein, who published the theory of relativity, uses only about three tenths. As you can see, most of the human brain is undeveloped.
On the other hand, what's scary is that every day, 100,000 adult brain cells age and die off, and every day, 100,000 brain cells are lost. People often say: "The brain does not have to become stupid. "Which also means. If we don't develop the undeveloped part of the brain, the brain will soon age simply because of the aging and necrosis of 100,000 brain cells per day.
Take a puzzle book, or solve exercises like Sudoku, shape detection, find a way for a better improvement in mental ability.
Five-Step Speed Reading Technique
This section commonly describes the speed reading in detail in a step by step procedure. Please follow along with the material (A book Or Newspaper) to practice with.
Step 1: Browse or Investigate
This step uses a quick scan. Browse the content: Prologue, table of contents and index, content. Synopsis (incl. Of the whole book) while reading a book. Through these, we can get to the heart of the book and the main idea. After that, make a choice and make a practical learning plan.
Step 2: Ask Questions
You have to ask questions to yourself while reading like "why," 'why does he think that. What is his basis? Is His basis tenable? All these questions, to carry out targeted learning which can in effect strengthen understanding and memory, stimulate learning enthusiasm, at the same time and Help to develop the ability of independent thinking and creativity.
Step 3: Read
This step applies to general reading, namely, slow reading and intensive reading. Through this step, the sections, chapters can be read as well as the merits of the whole book or the whole article can be read while the central content of understanding will help the process to deepen its understanding. In this process, there is repeated reading in order to put some ideas or content together.
Do exercises for a better understanding. Fill in the blanks with good answers, and write down the questions that you already know. Take notes on diagrams and illustrations.
Step 4: Retell and Remember
Emphasize the use of their own language to re-speak the knowledge gained, to avoid rote memorization. You can recall a framework. And then you put stuff in it if there's something there I don't know. I could read a book.
Step 5: Review
After reading, try to review to consolidate the information, it has absorbed.
Inference Speed Reading Technique
Deductive Reading
The so-called inferential reading, refers to the reading process, through the search for keywords analysis. The semantic group and the true intention are only steps to master the main idea of each paragraph and the central idea of the article. The advantage of inferential reading is that it compresses the text.
The number of words will obviously improve the quality of understanding of the article. The advantage of inferential reading is that it compresses the text Quantity and improve the understanding of the quality of the article. The theory behind the reading method is that the brain has the function of selecting and compressing information, so it doesn't need to pass when reading the full text. We only need to find the key points and make judgments, and then we can reach the goal of getting the best from the widely available knowledge.
The practical basis for inferring reading is the general understanding of the article in two ways.
The two methods are:
1. Find the Highlights Method
This method is in reading where the article is divided into several parts, and then each part according to the content is divided into several aspects, which will form the key points for understanding and further reciting. Key content refers to a point, although if the overall text is very short. But it has something much broader. The purpose of comprehension is to grasp the basic idea of the text. Keywords have the function of connecting the preceding and the subsequent sentences and can make the process of understanding easy as the full text boils down to a short logical outline from each article. The process of prioritizing content, which is in the article, does not lose the key content premise and carries on the processing and the refinement process.
2. Method of judging (or predicting, guessing)
An expert reader can guess the meaning of a whole paragraph or a whole page just by looking at a few sentences. Thinking works because it's done effectively. In this case, the reader Focus on the meaning of the text rather than the meaning of individual words. Readers should understand that what is considered is mainly the thought content of the article; what is discussed is the author's basic thought. The two comprehension methods mentioned above are the reading methods frequently used by many people. In the case of reading, understanding has its immediacy, its urgency.
Understanding the human mind through the use of existing knowledge is often
challenging. Try to Build between things to make a logical connection. When reading an easy article Understanding is only perceived, that is to be able to immediately think of the knowledge previously acquired, or immediately from the existing Knowledge that is captured is what is needed and combines it with new impressions. But now when you Read unfamiliar and difficult to understand the article, the content to read takes a lot of effort because it makes new logical connections between old knowledge and new knowledge.
Therefore, understanding is not to read word for word, but to master the spirit of the text but not to read the whole thing. Just read some of it. This part refers to the "essence" of the article content.
Chapter 3: Understanding Memory
