Austin turned and winked at his wife. Obvious pride was swelled within every curve of her beautiful body. She was beaming as she shook her head at him and held her hands out. She was too round to run to him anymore. Perfect by Austin’s estimations. “Yeah, I sure as hell did.” He bolted towards the gate and had Summer swept up in his arms a half-second later.
Staring out at the glow of the Vegas strip reflected off the cool, navy-blue night sky from the top-floor suite of The Venetian Hotel, Austin cradled his wife in his arms.
She grinned. “Well, you did just win spectacularly, cowboy. PBR champion buckle and all. We’ll have to work around my belly, but I still think the beast deserves a prize.”
Austin waggled his eyebrows. “I like working around your belly, darlin’. Let’s me be creative. But my parents have J.J., and I’ve got lots and lots of plans for my bride on our wedding night. We can take it nice and slow.”
Intrigue and that wildfire he loved burned in her eyes as she smirked. “We really were idiots.”
“Hey, I told you I was potent first time I took you to bed. Just didn’t know I was quite potent enough to get you pregnant in that shower back in Cheyenne, but coming all over you in the shower here, sounds like a good start for our evening, Mrs. Camden.”
“Guess I can’t get more pregnant,” she giggled.
Chuckling, Austin slid the maternity jeans over her bump and down her legs. Barefoot and pregnant. Yeah, life didn’t get much better than this. “Have I mentioned how much I like these elastic jean things? So much easier to get ‘em off of you.”
“You’re still full of shit.” A soft sigh accompanied her taunt as he fell to his knees and kissed his way over the tattoo she’d gotten a few days after they’d returned to the ranch, safe and fully in custody of J.J. His cattle brand, an AC with an arrow between, was permanently affixed to her lower back and the top of her ass cheek. An answer to the broken feather on her other side.
“Fucking sexiest thing I have ever seen,” he vowed reverently as he spun his tongue over his mark.
“I’m rather fond of yours, too, you know?”
Standing, Austin pulled off his undershirt and tossed it on the floor.
She ran her fingers over the large tribal hawk he’d had inked across his chest. “Thanks for always being my hawk and for always being my hero.”
“Forever, baby. Thanks for always being my girl.”
