I put on a mask and made sure my face was totally covered. Then, I opened the door to the hotel room and tossed a flash grenade inside, one strong enough to make Lucius the Second’s goons lose their sight for two to three minutes, enough time for me to take them out. After hearing muffled noises of people falling on the floor and yelling, I decided to yank the door open for a second time and infiltrate into the room.
Looking around me, I saw three blinded men guarding a closed door—probably Lucius’ bedroom. I sneaked behind the first man, snaked my hands around his neck and squeezed. Unable to speak, he slowly lost his senses and ended up on the floor.
The second man was a more difficult target. Somehow, he was able to hear the faint, yet agonizing, sounds of his friend fighting for breath, so he was now on high alert.
“Hey! Be careful! Someone has entered the room,” he uttered, rubbing his eyes, trying to get back his sight faster.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work that way. I took out one of the sleeping darts and closed it in my hand. This hotel room was full of things I could use to distract them, but I was not sure that the second man would be so easy to trick. I had to take off the third man, the one not moving at all, first.
This one was just standing still, sweeping his hands around, making sure that no one got close without him knowing. Every once in a while, his hands touched the wall behind him, and he jumped from shock, certain that he felt someone. He was really disoriented and seemed like an easier target.
I got closer to him, tiptoeing so he didn’t hear me, but seeing him so disoriented an idea popped in my head. I kicked the third man on the stomach with a turnaround kick with as much power I could muster within a second.
“What in the hell? Who did this?” he said, choking in pain.
The other man was alerted now as well, but that also meant that he had a clear objective: to get closer to his companion and together take me out. That would give me a good enough opening to take them both out with one strike.
“What the hell happened? Where are you?” the second man shouted behind me.
“I’m over here man, in front of the boss’ room. Someone kicked me in the stomach.” His words still came out short and muffled. He still hadn’t recovered from the hit yet.
“Stay there. I’m coming over to you. If we’re close to each other, this fucktard won’t be able to get into the room,” the second man said.
Even though he was blind, he was able to successfully arrive in front of Lucius’ room quickly. He was the only one that seemed to be professionally trained to handle situations like this one calmly. It was possible he had some kind of military background, enough to knock out a common thief or every other enemy. Not me, though.
They knew that I was here, but they didn’t seem to be able to find me. However, I had less than a minute before being able to safely break through their barricade, capture Lucius II, and return to the ground floor before his men realized that I was the one that did it.
I fished a second sleeping dart out of my pocket and aligned them both to their bodies. Sleeping darts were impractical to use in a real battle only because since the target was usually agitated, it made it harder for the sedative to act. Adrenaline slowed down the effect of almost every drug since it acted in the exact opposite way. However, my plan mostly relied on the fact that they were standing too close to each other.
I slang the first dart to the second man, the one able to navigate around the room.
“Fuck! What was this?” he said.
“What happened? Did he get you?” the other man said.
“I don’t know. I felt something...and...” and that was it. He was out.
A six-feet tall, muscled man fell onto his shorter, but no less big, accomplice standing before the door. When that happened, the third man grunted and started moving away from Lucius’ door. He was panicking.
“Who are you? You sneaky bastard! I’m gonna find you...and...and...”
And that was it for the third man as well.
Now, the trick to getting them both, was fooling them into believing that only one of them got stung. In only a split of a second after I slang the first dart, I also hurled the second dart to the other man but lower, on his feet. So, what happened was that the one man was able to better feel the pain of the dart, but the drug acted faster since it was closer to his head, while the second man, worried about his friend, didn’t have a single clue that I had already gotten him too. So, now, I walked around the empty room, heading straight for Lucius’ room without any more hindrances.
Everything was going according to my plan, everything except for a woman screaming at the top of her lungs for help behind the door.
I hurried inside, not caring if it was a trap or not.
“Shut the fuck up, you bitch,” Lucius, a fat, old man said as he slapped the girl in the face hard enough to toss her on the ground.
Everything happened at once that I didn’t have time to think; I acted on pure instinct. Lucius spotted me walking into the room and headed straight for his gun on the bedside table. I, on the other hand, stared at the young woman that had fallen on her knees, unable to move, dressed as a common hooker in a dancing club on Mars. That was when I knew what I had to do.
Instead of going after Lucius, I started straight for the girl. I strode to her side and turned to face Lucius the Second, a man that would do anything to get out of this mess with his freedom and money intact. However, I didn’t know if he would be that lucky with his life.
I shielded the poor girl with my body and took off my gun. I aimed for his back. It took me a moment to get a clear shot at him; this place was like a room inside a room, there were countless sofas and armchairs and even two screens in the way. But when I did, I fired away.
At that moment, Jasih came to my mind. This laser pistol was his gift to me for one of my birthdays, after I had qualified as a First Kind. I had never used it before, not even once, but something in today’s mission felt...off. I didn’t have another choice.
Did I?
Fortunately, laser beams were too fast for the eye to catch, so when I saw again Lucius’ disgusting, greasy hair, he was lying on the floor inside a pool of blood. It took me a moment to think that all this blood didn’t come from my shot; laser guns scorched the wound, resulting in a clean cut, perfect for executions. His head had hit on the edge of one of the many sofas and burst.
The girl behind me puked at the sight of blood and brains scattered everywhere around the room, and it wasn’t too long before she ran out of the room, screaming like the devil himself was chasing her. I would have to track her down later and convince her to move out of Space Colony Exposure if she wanted to keep her life, but until then, I let her go. She almost lost her life today.
My plan was ruined. I had to call my associate to abandon his position in the security office and insert the true feed of what happened to the system. Seeing Lucius lying on the floor, a mixed feeling of regret and proudness filled me. Yeah, I couldn’t bring the man to justice, but at least, I could bring his extensive archives on every transaction Echo Brigade had ever done to the light. There was enough juice in here to arrest half the system.
Still, it didn’t feel right. A man lost his life today. A bad man, but a living person no less.
A cold calmness surrounded me. There was nothing I could do about it now, so I returned to the archives. Countless names ordering unspeakable amounts of weaponry were recorded with details on his personal computer. To be honest, there were names in the list that I didn’t even recognize. Of course, the same thing applied to the people that I did. Especially one specific person that the espionage division of the First Kinds was chasing around for two years now.
This man was a number one target in fifteen Esuh systems, and of course, Sol. However, that wasn’t why I was able to discern his name among thousands of others. Instead, it was the uniqueness of his request that made me find him at a glimpse.
“What in the world? Why did he get we
apon smugglers to procure an ancient relic for him? And how did they find it in the first place? Aren’t they supposed to trade only weapons?” I spoke to myself.
I made sure I got it right, but after one more quick sweep of the other names, only his had the word “ancient relic” right next to it.
While I was trying to figure out the mystery behind this unusual entry, my jewelry-computer rang. I swiped my hand over it, and the holographic display appeared; it was a call from Jasih.
A smile quickly lightened my face. He was one sly bastard for putting a bug in my computer. He knew that the only time I was going to use it would be during my retrieval mission. Well, he was right.
But, that inventiveness of his was also the reason why I still loved him so much.
Jasih
Should I have bought something to her? Should I have worn the other cologne? Should I have put on the other suit, the blue one? She’s always nagging at me that I don’t wear enough blue clothes and that it highlights my deep purple eyes. I don’t really understand why it’s so important to her that I dress nicely, but maybe I should have gone with the blue suit, not the black one again.
It was difficult being married to one of the most beautiful Esuh women of the whole empire. She was strong, independent, and never shied away from a fight, even if she was wrong. Lenora was literally my other half, the more liberated, less tense and less social awkward half.
However, isn’t that the reason you married her in the first place? To fill all these gaps life left you with?
Shit, I should have gone with the blue suit.
I was strolling around Exposure’s spaceport, waiting for her to find me. It was not that I couldn’t find her myself, but this was something of a good-luck charm of hers. When Lenora started going undercover for months at the time, we made a pact. I would always find where she was - and make her know in some secret, romantic way - and she would always have to find me in the spaceport and surprise me when we decided to meet.
It was like a secret date after six months of absence. And to be honest, six months of Lenora missing from our home, and especially our bed, was one of the hardest things I had ever done in my whole life.
Most of the time, she was going undercover for two weeks to two months tops, but this case was indeed exceptional. From what I had heard from reports coming all around the Sol, she did quite a piece this time. She wasn’t able to recover her target alive, something that would actually cause quite a bit of a headache to some of her higher-ups.
The ethics of espionage always threaded on a thin line, but with assassinations coming to the light all the more often nowadays, especially assassinations ensued by First Kinds, every death associated with containing criminal activities was strictly condemned by the public opinion.
Still, that was not the case with Lenora. Knowing her resume, this was the first killing of her career. She always made sure to come off clean from every mission the First Kind higher-up assigned to her. What led her to assassinate this particular target would remain a mystery to me as well, until she found me.
She sure loved taking her time, though.
A crowd of tourists headed my way. They were all coming from the ‘new arrivals’ section of the spaceport. They most probably were Martians heading to another system for vacation. Their planet was increasingly becoming hot on the surface and frozen below, making for a strange combination. Still, Mars was one of the richest planets in this solar system. Honestly, they could buy another planet and colonize it for what it mattered.
They were a rowdy bunch, though, one that made me lose the view of my surroundings for just a moment. At that moment, the first thing that hit me was her fragrance.
“What is a big stud like you doing to a rundown place like this?” she said in her most sensual voice possible.
I would have pushed her away if I hadn’t recognized she was her. Lenora once again managed to sneak behind me unnoticed.
“My spaceship is right around the corner. Exposure is a busy colony, huh? Who would have thought?” I said, trying to start some kind of conversation, any kind of conversation, with her on our way to my spaceship. Lenora seemed different somehow, less vocal and more...physical? She touched my elbow and made sure she smiled and nodded at everything I said.
She stared deeply into my eyes all the time but the only time she turned away her face, she was doing it with a sigh. Something was troubling her.
“Here we are,” I exclaimed more enthusiastically than I wanted. She picked up on that.
“Well, someone seems like is in a hurry,” she said at the same voluptuous tone she used before.
“Well, you can’t blame me for wanting some time alone with my wife. I haven’t seen you for six months, Lenora. Is it too bad that--”
She didn’t let me finish. Her lips connected with mine the moment we both walked inside my spaceship. I was a head taller than her and way stronger, but when she was kissing me, I was like a frail boy standing naked before her.
“Don’t talk anymore. I need my husband Jasih right now, not the Prime Officer one. Just...kiss me.”
She didn’t have to tell me twice. I was on the verge of tearing off her clothes as it was. Now that I had got the okay from her...well...there was nothing remaining that could stop me. I pushed her around and shoved her against the wall. A deep moan came out of her mouth. I didn’t give her time to retaliate. I kissed her deeply, our tongues mingling on the spur of the moment. She was caressing the inside of my mouth with her sweet tongue, making sure I could taste everything.
Lenora was breathing into my mouth, and I felt her hot breath filling my lungs. Everything was romantic and warm as it should be. Only that Lenora seemed she didn’t even want that anymore.
She forced her hand into my pants and squeezed my balls. I moaned loudly, part of it being from pain, part of it being from pleasure. She knew that I liked it a bit rough, but it had been too long since the last time I felt her touch. It was refreshing.
I let her jerk me off for a minute or two, long enough to make me hard as a rock, and then grabbed both her arms and raised them above her head. I bounded her movements with my strong grip. She didn’t resist, so I changed into using only one of my hands to keep her still and the other hand to rip off her dress.
The fabric slowly creased on the floor. Lenora was standing in front of me now, wearing nothing but her underwear. I couldn’t get enough of her slender, strong figure. I wanted to taste her.
I started kissing her chest, her breasts, her stomach, and slowly, yet surely, released her from her shackles while I removed the bottom part of her underwear. I started licking her clitoris, but soon, her hands guided me deeper into more intimate parts of her body. She grabbed my hair now and pushed me in and out, moaning louder and louder as time went by.
If I didn’t know her better, I would have thought that she was getting closer to coming. Luckily, though, she had perfect control over her body.
Five minutes later, and after I had lifted both her legs on my shoulders, her back leaning against the wall, I heard her murmur: “I want you inside me. Now...” That last part was nuanced, torn between a sigh and a moan.
I moved away from between her legs and commenced into carrying her in the spaceship’s bedroom. I gently placed her on top of the bed, and I made sure I removed all my clothes in the process. My chiseled body, the result of hard work and countless years of being on active duty, always seemed to arouse her.
Then, I aligned my body with hers as I lay above her. She touched my chest and abs before embracing me into a hug. My dick was rock hard, throbbing between my legs, ready to thrust her. However, it had been six months already. I knew I had to be gentle with her.
The first time I invaded her, she panted and asked me to stop. We were both covered in glistening sweat. Her nipples were pointy and hard; she was turned on as well. After I caught a slight glimpse of her head nodding for me to continue, I started pushing in slowly, until my balls touched her skin.
&nbs
p; I waited for a moment for her to get used to my size, but it was only a matter of time before I started moving in and out rhythmically. Our bodies felt like they were made for each other. In every thrust, I felt like we were becoming one. Her hot, wet vagina seemed to blossom below me. I had to move faster, harder.
“I...I’m close. Yes! Like that. Oh my god...” she kept on exclaiming, repeating my name again and again.
Now, I had arched my body away from her body, and I was totally focused on fucking her. My dick was the only thing connecting us. She was resting her legs on my shoulders and stretched her pelvis in and out, causing more friction between our members. However, that made her tighter between my legs, and I could feel my cock rubbing on the walls of her wet vagina.
Everything was heightened when I heard her moan loudly, calling my name, coming while I was still drilling her. At that exact moment, I groaned loudly too, as if in pain, but my burst of hot semen was so strong and wild that I couldn’t hold back anymore. The explosion of pleasure traveled to every part of my body until it made me lie on the bed next to her after our intercourse was over.
I turned and looked at her. Lenora still seemed thoughtful, but now her eyes had a feeling of contempt. She was at exactly the place she wanted to be at that moment.
Lenora
I couldn’t sleep. I had lost track of time. How many hours had it been since he slept? Two? Three? Maybe more. I didn’t know. It was like time had stopped after we had met in bed again. When his hands touched my skin and his lips caressed mine, it was like I could breathe again after a long time.
So why did I feel restless again? Why was his name on that list? Why Lucius didn’t even try to hide that transaction? It was like he didn’t care that one of his clients didn’t ask for his usual weapon smuggling services. It was like he wanted the world to know that he was expanding into other areas as well. But why him? Why an ancient relic?
