  Chapter 14 Judgment

Tracy sat on the edge of the bunk and handed Anderson a steaming mug of soup. “Feeling better?”

He sat up and took it. “Yes, it’s good to finally get off the stims and sleep. Where is everyone?”

“Oscar decided to lead an attack on Angel-1. He believes their data core is linked to the ark in some way and they're about to move it off planet. As part of a plan stop the ark being activated and prevent the prophecy being fulfilled.”

“That's suicide, didn't you tell him it’s just a data core.”

“He wouldn't listen. It’s caused a schism and to be honest those of use left here are secretly praying he'll fail rather than face punishment for heresy when he returns.” Tracy was colder and more clinical than he'd ever seen her before.

“If I didn't know better I'd say you were still working for Malstrom.” chided Anderson.

Tracy shook her head. “The fall of humankind is coming and that multi-headed beast of Babylon will not survive. Now you need to rest I have things to attend to.”
