“So, have her back before dinner?” Mitchell asks.
“Yes, please.” I lean in and kiss Annabelle’s cheek. She smiles at me but stays in Mitchell’s arms.
I look up at him. “You’ve been good, you know. I just thought you should know that.”
Mitchell offers me a small smile. “I have to tell you something.” I wait as he looks to Annabelle, and then back to me. “I’m not interested in women anymore, Kat. Will that matter?”
“You mean… you’re gay?” I ask him, but I’m not really understanding.
“Yes. I fucked women when I was drunk to hide who I really was. I played the playboy part well, when all I really wanted to do was meet someone who made me happy.” He looks to Annabelle. “I don’t regret it, you know, and I certainly don’t regret you. Because you gave me a gift that I probably would never have gotten, and I thank you for that.”
I nod, not sure what else to say.
I don’t care if he’s gay or straight. As long as he treats my girl the way she deserves to be treated. That’s all I can ask for.
I watch as they leave, and when they do, I hear Blaze come up behind me. I asked him to stay in my room. He got back last night with a bag and crawled into bed with me and went to sleep. My stomach’s feeling better, even if it is black and blue today, and my lip is healing slowly.
Blaze’s hands wrap around my waist, and he is careful where they go.
“Bed and fuck, or fuck then bed?” he asks.
“Neither,” I say, pulling away. “Did you hear?”
He nods. “Puts me at ease knowing he more than likely wants me rather than you.” He smirks, his scarred eyebrow rising.
“You aren’t moving in,” I tell him.
“Yes, I am.”
“No, you are not. I’m not one of your girls who you can boss around. This… between us, will go slow.”
Blaze lifts his hands and rubs the back of his head, his arm flexing when he does so, showcasing his muscles. I have to resist the urge to move forward and touch him, because if I touch him that will lead to many other things.
“How about you start by introducing me to your world?” I ask him.
“My world?”
“Take me to one of your parties as your woman, not one of the girls.”
“Annabelle isn’t allowed to come,” he says, straight-faced.
I laugh. “As if. I wouldn’t allow her to come anyway,” I tell him.
Messaging Mitchell, he replies straight away that he would love to have Annabelle tonight. I’ve seen his place and approve of it. He made a room for Annabelle, and it’s full of toys and everything a toddler could love, need, or want.
“You really want to come?” Blaze asks.
I eye his naked chest and step forward, my fingertips dancing along his skin. “Yes, deciding factor and all.” I smile, pulling away. “Plus, you need to leave. I have a few things I have to do today, and I’m child free,” I say, waving back at him as I walk away to get ready.
“I can come,” he says.
“No, you can’t,” I say, ending that discussion.
I told Blaze I would drive myself and not to come back for the rest of the day. I went and had lunch with Annabelle and Mitchell, and then went home after to change to get ready to go over to the clubhouse. I would usually get Rochelle to come, but since she’s in her second trimester of pregnancy, I want to leave her be. She’s been great to me for a while now, and she needs time alone with Marcus before that baby comes and steals all their time away.
Driving down the long driveway, the gate is opened for me, and before I even get out of the car, Blaze is there waiting for me, hand out ready for me to place mine in it. When he grabs me, he pulls me to him so my body falls into his, and he kisses my lips.
“I’ve missed these today,” he says, then pushes his lower body on me so I know exactly how much he has missed me.
Music blares behind us, and I pull away to look around. I see a fire pit and the bar at the back where the rooms are located.
“Is it busy?” I ask him. “Are any of my girls here?”
“About that…” He looks behind him then back to me. “Rebecca is here. I didn’t invite her, but I sure as shit can send her away.”
“Would you do that for anyone?” I ask him. “Send people away because they don’t like them?”
He laughs. “No, only you.”
“She can stay. I can handle Rebecca.”
“I’m sure you can,” he says as we start walking.
Blaze’s hand goes to my ass, gripping it through my jeans as we walk in. A few people look to us. I’ve been here before, so none of this is new to me, but now I’m attached to their leader, so it’s a bit different.
Is that even what they call him? I have no idea.
How will the girls handle me being here? Because every time I’ve been here before, they all whisper about him, and I know they all want him.
He is their unicorn.
Unattainable.
And now he’s mine.
“You already know Snow,” Blaze says, sitting, then reaching for me and pulling me to his lap.
“Yes, I do.”
“How you doing?” Snow asks.
“Good,” I tell him honestly.
What happened didn’t affect me as badly as other people believed it would. I don’t know why. But I know I’m fine. Let’s face it, it could have been a lot worse. Way worse than it was.
“This is Marley, he’s our Enforcer.”
“I’ve met Marley,” I say, nodding to him.
“That’s all you need to know.” I turn to look at him. “Okay, that’s all I talk to?”
He clarifies. “Snow does all the talking. He’s an expert at it.”
I look to Snow, who winks at me.
“How long have you known each other?” I ask, then look around at the other two.
“I’ve known Snow since I was seventeen, and Marley not long after that.” Blaze’s hands run down my legs and pull me back, so my back is to his front.
“Miss.” A voice comes up to me, and I turn to see Rebecca standing there with her hand on her hip as she looks down on me.
“It’s just Kat,” I tell her. “I fired you, remember?”
I hear a chuckle next to me as Rebecca’s face goes red with anger.
“Seems you have a knack for sleeping your way to the top, hey?” Rebecca looks at Blaze, then back to me. I don’t move from my position on his lap. There is no need to, I don’t have to defend myself to her. She’s just one of those girls who isn’t a female supporter and puts others down because she’s unhappy with who she is. That is not my issue—it’s totally hers.
“Rebecca.”
I turn to see Snow looking up at her.
“What? She is. I heard she slept her way to be the boss of the club. Now she’s sleeping with the new boss to keep her position.” Blaze laughs because he knows all about our last boss. He’s happily married and hardly ever leaves his house. That man wouldn’t know what to do with me.
“You can go now, Rebecca.”
“No, I think you should. You can’t come here and tell me what to do.” She leans down. “You don’t run this place.”
Mischa, who we know as Silver, walks over too.
“Heard my sister pulled your hair and hit you.” I smile at her. She looks away and quickly goes back the same way she came. I look up at Rebecca. “I could do the same to you, but you aren’t worth my time.” I wave a hand in the air. “Toodles, Rebecca.”
“Fuck you,” she spits.
“Okay, that’s enough! You can fuck off now,” comes from Blaze, who doesn’t even look up at her.
A prospect is quick to grab Rebecca’s arm and escort her out. She swears the whole time, but the minute she’s gone, I breathe a breath of fresh air.
Blaze pulls me to him and whispers in my ear, “I’m going to fuck you tonight, and tie you to the bed, and make you scream my name.”
I turn in his arms. “Wh
y wait?”
He doesn’t. He picks me up and carries me out without even saying goodbye to anyone.
Chapter Twenty-Nine
Kat
One year later.
Kat
Okay, okay, I got this. I straighten my shirt and smile as I walk in.
Fuck, maybe I don’t have this.
“You can do it,” Blaze says next to me, pushing me forward.
I nod, not sure if I believe him, but I do as he says anyway. That only usually happens in the bedroom, so he best think himself lucky right now.
“Just don’t talk, okay? I can do it all.”
“Okay, babe.” He smiles. He doesn’t call me Katarina all the time. Now it’s baby, princess, my love, or any other terms of endearment he uses. At first, I didn’t like it, but now, like Blaze, it has grown on me.
“Hi, I’m here to see Peter,” I say, smiling at the receptionist.
“Yes, right this way.” I follow her back to his office with Blaze right behind me. His hand on my lower back, guiding me, and also there to support me in case I turn and run.
I won’t, though.
No fucking way.
“Kat, so good to see you. Come. Take a seat.” Peter leans over and shakes Blaze’s hand. “So, we have some good news and some bad news.” He looks down at his paperwork as he sits.
“Okay,” is all I can manage to say.
“So, you have been approved for just below the amount you asked for, but you need a deposit close to twenty-thousand dollars.” Peter watches me as my eyes go wide. I don’t have that kind of money. I’m buying the club, and Blaze wanted to give it to me for less than what he paid, but I couldn’t accept that. So, I talked him into giving it to me for what he paid. But now, well, it looks like I can’t even do that.
“Oh, I don’t think…”
Damn! I didn’t expect that. I can’t ask my parents, they’re retired now, and Rochelle has a toddler.
“Do you accept checks?” Blaze asks.
My head spins to him. “No. No, you can’t.”
Blaze ignores me and looks back to Peter. “Can you give us five?”
I hear Peter push his seat backward, then he steps out, and the door closes behind him.
“Let me help, I have the means.”
“No. I said I wanted to do this myself.”
“Rent-free then?” he asks. I look at him, confused. “You take the money, and I move in rent-free for a year. That way, it will be paid back in full for the amount I would give you anyway,” he says.
I smile at his generosity.
He’s like that. You wouldn’t think so, but somehow, he throws random acts out that you just don’t expect.
“I never want to take your money,” I tell him. I want this business, though. I run it, and I might as well run it to my exacting ways.
“You never wanted to fall in love with me either, but yet here we are, me still waiting for you to let me move in.”
I blush at his words. I was actually going to ask him tonight. I’ve been holding out because I wanted to make sure it’s perfect before I said yes and bring him permanently into my life as well as my daughter’s. After all, it’s not just me I have to think about. Plus, I also want Mitchell to be at ease that another man will be around his daughter.
But he’s fine with it, and somehow, so am I. I’ve just been waiting for the perfect time to tell him.
“What do you say, babe?”
He pulls out a checkbook from his back pocket.
“Did you know?” I ask.
“I ran the figures, and I figured he would have said something like that. I thought it would have been more, though. But this is reasonable.”
To him it is. Blaze has a very savvy business mind, and actually owns a lot of clubs. He just hires people to run them. His love is his MC club, and now me.
“I don’t feel comfortable taking your money.”
“Katarina,” he says, writing out a check, despite my words. I watch as he writes a blank check and signs it. He knocks on the door, letting Peter know it’s okay to come back in.
“I’m going to cover the deposit. You can give her the loan today?” Blaze asks.
“Yes, it should be finalized by the end of the business day.”
Blaze slides the check over, and I have a mini heart attack.
Well, no, I don’t, but it feels like maybe I could.
Blaze holds the door open for me as I get out of the car. When I do, I push him up against the car, my body lining his as I kiss him passionately. I never get sick of his taste or the feel of his lips on mine. Or the way his body feels when it’s him and me.
Blaze Stone has done me good, and fucked me over for any other human to come after him. So, I guess I will keep him.
“As much fun as it would be to fuck you outside and show the neighbors what makes you scream at night, we best take this inside.” Blaze still doesn’t live with me, but he stays more than half the week here every night. And he’s welcome, because being next to him or around him makes my soul happy.
“They would just be jealous,” I say, smiling as I push off of him. He grips my hand as we make our way to the house. Unlocking the door and walking in, I’m frozen on the spot.
“Congratulations,” is yelled.
All my family is here, as well as Mitchell and Annabelle.
I turn to Blaze.
He has a slow smile drawing up on his face.
“You told them?” I ask.
He just shrugs as my mother crushes me with her arms. “You did it. So proud of you.”
My father is next, followed by Rochelle, and Marcus offers me a nod as he holds his sleeping daughter in his arms.
“I didn’t do it by myself,” I say, reaching back and grabbing Blaze’s hand.
Snow and Marley walk in the door behind us with food in hand and tap me on the shoulder, giving me congratulations.
My mother and father have come to accept Blaze and his brothers. They love that our family is growing, and always invite them over for family barbecues. It took a while for Blaze, as well as Marcus, to get used to my mother’s love. But now when they need something, they call her. Their relationship with her is probably better than mine.
Yes, ours is better than it was, but we still have our moments.
Everyone grabs a drink and heads out the back. Blaze grasps my hand, holding me back.
He pulls me to him, and his hand slips between us and into my skirt, sliding down into my panties. “I just want to get you ready. You know for the move in fuck.”
“You’re moving in?” I ask, opening my mouth in pleasure as he inserts a finger.
“Yes. My girlfriend asked me at the bank.”
“She did?” I ask, not remembering anything while he has his finger inside me.
“Then you told me you want me to fuck you up against the wall every night until we get old and fucking gray.”
“Hmm… I don’t remember that either. But I’ll take it.” I smile at him.
He bites my neck and pushes a finger in farther. “You will, because it’s fucking ready and wanting you.” He pushes into me harder, his thumb pressing onto my clit as he bites at my neck. I reach for his cock and feel he’s hard.
“Room?” I ask.
He pulls his hand out and steps away, his fingers, which were inside of me, go directly into his mouth, and he licks them until they are clean. “Later,” he says, then proceeds to walk out, fixing his cock through his jeans.
“Blaze…”
He stops and turns around to face me.
“I fucking love you.”
He smirks. “I know. And soon you will be my wife.” He winks, then heads out the back, making me smile as he goes.
I love that man.
Fucking love him.
He doesn’t take, he gives.
And I didn’t know I needed someone like that in my life, until him.

Playette
Chapter One
Isadora
“Arghhh.”
I cover his mouth with my hand, it’s the last thing I want to hear. He bites my hand thinking it’s some kind of play but I shake my head at him and say, “Stop it.”
He does, exactly as I command. Then he pushes again, biting his lip this time to stop the groaning from leaving his mouth. But then, oh God, it comes out again. “Arghhhh.”
It is not even the groan, it’s how he does it. He gets this look on his face which makes me wonder why I went back to his house in the first place. The dimple, that perfect hair—I’m sure that’s what it was.
As I lay underneath him, he pumps inside me like he’s on some kind of mission to build a fence and I am the railings he’s hammering into position. It’s now I wonder, Is he really that good looking? My brain answers quickly, No, he isn’t.
I needed sex, so I went out on the hunt and this stranger came up to speak to me before I even caught sight of him. He had some cockiness about him that made me think, maybe he would be good in bed.
How wrong I was.
He’s up there right now, in the top three worst fucks I’ve ever had. Losing my virginity was the first, so this is saying something.
I wait for him to finish, because I know he’ll come before me. He has that god-awful look on his face and I’m nowhere near done. I’ll have to go to the bathroom or wait until I’m home to finish myself off because he sure as shit isn’t going to that’s for damn sure.
“Arghhh,” he groans loudly, his face scrunching up so badly that I have to look away otherwise I’m going to be physically ill, right here, right now.
