I snort and laugh. “Fine, I’ll see about making dinner, but don’t use all the hot water,” I say with a slight pout.
Turning to the front door, we stroll to the car to unpack. There is a real cold nip in the air when we step outside. “Brrr… It has gotten colder since we were inside, hasn’t it?” She asks.
I wrap my arms around my waist as I walk and nod my head in agreement.
We make short work of unpacking her SUV. She starts to help me put up the groceries we got at the store on the way here, but I shoo her to her bath after pouring her a small glass of sweet wine and handing it to her.
“Go, shoo, I’ll take care of this. Enjoy yourself. It’ll be a bit before dinner is ready.” I watch her head into her bedroom to grab clothes before turning back to the kitchen. I turn the oven on and start putting up the food. I take the chicken breast and make a parmesan breadcrumb mix. I crust the chicken with it before putting it in the oven to cook.
Staring at the fireplace, I decided a fire would be a sweet idea. I see that the wood is stacked correctly in the crate. I take the long matches and light the kindle and lighter wood. While the flames take a few minutes to catch, I return to the kitchen and make a nice mixed green salad to go with the chicken. Whisking together a balsamic and light tasting olive oil together, I put together a dressing for the salad. I pour myself a glass of the same wine I gave Natie and relax in one of the recliners.
I can’t help but think about my lumberjack. He really looked good in his tight jeans. I bet he would look really good with them off, too. Wondering if his ass is as tight as it looks, I mentally wipe the drool from my imagination’s mouth.
The timer on the oven startles me out of my dirty thoughts. I jump up and head to the kitchen, I stop and refill my glass before I get the chicken out of the oven. The hum of a blow dryer can be heard from the bathroom. Good timing. I set the table with dishes that I find in the cupboard and the food, just as Natalie comes out of the bathroom with a cute plaid flannel footie pajama set on. I can’t help but give a little giggle. She gives me a withering look before walking into the kitchen area.
“Oh, yum. I’m starving,” she remarks as she sets her wine glass on the side of the sink and grabs a glass of unsweet tea from the fridge.
We don’t say much when we start eating, and before we know it, our plates are cleared.
I stand up to start cleaning up and Natie takes my plate from my hand. “Nope, you cooked, I’ll clean. Plus, you really got to try that tub, it’s divine.”
I throw my hands up, I know when I’m defeated. “Okay, I’ll just do that.” I start to head to my bedroom to get my clothes. On my way back through, she hands me a refilled glass of wine. I thank her and head into the bathroom.
I set my clothes down and run a warm bath. I see on the side of one sink is Natie’s toiletry things. As I set my stuff on the other sink, I see on the side a small tray of different bath oils and salts. I smell each one and pick my favorite, lavender. Pouring a healthy amount of lavender oil into the steaming water, I start to undress.
Slipping into the warm liquid, I recline back into the clawfoot tub and sigh. With my eyes close, I let each and every one of my muscles relax.
My mind wanders back to the image of Eull, the lumberjack hunk. I imagine him shirtless cutting wood and bending and retrieving wood form the ground before flexing his body as he chops at the logs.
I take my bath sponge and give a good dollop of liquid body soap before starting at my neck and slowly wash down my body. Stopping at my breast giving them a sensational swipe of the sponge before continuing down my stomach and then quickly washing my legs one at a time. I let the sponge slip into the deep of the tub as I slide my hand between my legs.
I take a small gasp as I flutter my fingers over my clit. I slowly circle it before a glide against it again but firmer. My breath hitches as my nerve buds begin to tingle and my pussy grasp at the nothingness. I slip my finger into my opening seeking that sweet spot. I rub my fingers in and out hitting the right spots. As my orgasm builds, I add another finger and pick up speed. Just as a peak, I moan with short breaths.
Relaxing and soaking in the completion, I lay my head back with my eyes closed. I must have dozed off because the next thing I remember is slipping under the water and come up spitting water and gasping for air.
God, I’m glad no one saw that. How embarrassing. I pull the plug and climb out to turn on the shower. I give my hair a quick wash and rinse along with my body to get the oil off it. The rain shower head is too good to rush. I bask in the heated rain flow.
Turning off the water, I wrap my hair and body in separate towels. I rush to dry my hair to stop the chill that you get when you get out of a warm bath into a cool room. Not to be outdone, I pull on my bright purple footie pajamas and look in the mirror with a giggle.
I step out of the bathroom and see that Natie is heading to her room. She turns to me and says goodnight with a laugh. Yup, we can rock these footie PJs.
I check the fire before heading to my room. The bed looks so comfy, I quickly pull the comforter back and jump in bed like a little girl. I lay back into the soft pillows and pull the covers up. I’m fast asleep before my mind can even wander.
Chapter Six
Eull
I’m up with the animals. The air is frigid, and there is a thin coat of fresh powder snow on the ground. Footprints can be seen from my steps as I treck over to the animal barn. I stop at the corral to chop the ice in the water trough and scoop it out so the livestock can get water. I plug in the heater to heat up the water. It takes me a while to take care of the animals. My mind wanders to the woman I ran into yesterday. I checked the books and found out that her name was Celeste. I decide to head over to her cabin to check on them.
As I approach the cabin, I notice smoke coming out of the chimney. Well, shit there goes my lame excuse to see her. I decide to play it by ear. I can smell the aroma of coffee brewing as I knock on the door.
Before I get a chance to take a step back the door pops open and she portrays the cutest image ever. She’s standing in the doorway while holding a steaming mug wearing the most adorable and somehow sexy outfit. The bright purple footie pajamas are stuffed with her large breasts and rounded ass. It makes my mouth water and the thought of peeling it off of her.
With a startled look, she says, “Hello?”
“Umm, yeah, good morning. I was just in the area and wanted to check up on you.” I stammer out an explanation for knocking on her door.
“Okay…” She looks at me like she’s trying to figure me out. “We’re doing great. The cabin is perfect. Thanks.”
“That’s good. Did you need me to bring any more wood?” I ask as I point to the large stack of wood on the side of the front porch. Yup, lame, but I get to talk to her again, so there is that. Maybe she won’t call me out on it.
“Ummm… No, I think we’re good.” She looks at me with merriment shining in her eyes. Yes, definitely busted.
“So, have you been to the area before?” I continue to make conversation.
“Actually no, but it’s so gorgeous up here. I would leave Florida in a heartbeat for this to be my front yard view.” She says with a sweep of her hand.
She looks me up and down like I’m part of the scenery. I swear I saw her lick her lips. Hot damn! My dick begins to swell, shit, I’m so turned on just by her staring at me.
“It’s a good area to live in. My brother, Klaus and I have been coming to this area since we were kids. Our Great uncle owned the place before he passed and willed it to us.” I state.
“I’m sorry to hear about your uncle. You’ve done a fantastic job of running this place.” She looks back into the cabin. “Natalie is still in bed if you want to come in.”
I don’t want to intrude but I really want to get to know this woman, so I nod my head yes before stepping through the door.
“Coffee?” She asks as she points to the pot on the counter.
“Yes, please. It’s colder than a
witch’s tit outside.” I turn bright red just as I realized what I said. Luckily, she just giggles.
“I bet.” is her response.
Clearing my throat. “How about I put a couple more logs on the fire. I see you had no trouble with starting one.”
“Why? Do you think because I’m a woman I can’t take care of myself?” She turns sharply to me.
Wow, whiplash! “That’s not what I was trying to say. I just didn’t think you had much use for fireplaces in Florida.” I back pedal, trying to figure out what I said wrong.
“No, I’m sorry. I’m not used to people seeing that I’m capable of. Most men don’t look for valuable traits in women like that.” She turns a healthy pink in the cheeks. It’s fucking cute. I step up to her after tossing a couple of logs on the fire. I take her cheeks in my hands and lift her face up to me as I lean down for our lips to meet. She leans into me and I wrap one arm around her waist and pull her up closer to me. The kiss is over quicker than I wanted. She slips back and turns to grab me a cup and proceeds to fill it will coffee.
“Cream or sugar?” She asks with a shaky voice.
“A little of both, please.” I sit on the couch so I don’t look so intimidating. She joins me on the couch after she hands me my cup of coffee. I set it on the small coffee table to cool. She does the same before she turns toward me. We start talking about her family and how she met Natalie. I tell her a little about Klaus and my summer trips here. The more we talk the closer we get. I stop talking and lean in and lay my lips against hers. She moans as I invade her mouth with my tongue. We move closer still. I grab her under her ass and lift her onto my lap as I devour her mouth. We both groan when we hear movement in the bedroom. As she pulls away, I realize that my hand is in her shirt and has a fistful of her breast.
“I better go. Can I see you later?” I ask hopefully.
“Natie and I have plans this morning but you’ll be around later, right?” She asks just as eager.
“You bet,” I respond as I stand up. She follows me up and to the door. I lean down for one more quick kiss. It ends too quickly.
“Bye,” she says wistfully.
“See you soon,” I promise with hunger in my voice.
I head over to the office where Klaus is working away at the computer. I swagger in with a shit-eatin’ grin. Damn, I feel good.
“What’s or who’s got you smiling like that?” He asks.
“I was spending time with one of the women from the cabin.” Instantly I can tell I said something wrong. Klaus’ back stiffens and he gives me a hateful look. Damn, whose puppy did I step on?
“Which one?” He asks through tight lips.
Shit, I fucked up somewhere. Did he have a thing for Celeste? I cautiously answer. “Celeste.” the relief is visible. His shoulders drop back down, and he smiles at me.
“Oh, that’s good. You planning on seeing her again?” There is a story there and I aim to find out.
“Yeah, I plan too. Anything new with you?” I casually ask. Hot damn, he has the hots for Celeste’s best friend.
“I may have something to tell you later. We’ll see.” I know that’s all I’ll get out of him until he’s ready to spill.
“Well, I’m going to take care of the tackle for the sleigh and the horse, so it’s all ready for the girls later.” I head out the door with a wave.
Chapter Seven
Celeste
I’m glowing. That was some heavy make-out session. The sensation of his hand on my breast, plucking at my nipple is still fresh. My panties are soaked, and my pussy is needy. I take a deep breath to calm myself as I pick up my tablet and continue to read the book I was working on before Eull showed up. My mind isn’t into it anymore. I can’t stop thinking about our kiss or I should say kisses since there was more than one.
“Oh my god, it’s cold,” Natalie says as she comes out of her bedroom.
I set my tablet to the side and look up at her and pat the spot next to me on the hearth. “Here, come sit next to me,” I say and lift the blanket I have over my legs.
We sit with our backs to the fire as it warms us up. She rests her head on my shoulder and yawns big. “Thank you!”
“Don’t do that you’re going to make me yawn, too,” I threaten and then yawn making her giggle.
“That was your fault.” She laughs.
“Mmm-hmm. What are you reading?” she asks.
“The new Ruby Dixon book that she just released.” I brag a little. She’s my absolute favorite author.
“I downloaded that to my Kindle before we left. I can’t wait to read it.” She tells me.
“I’m about halfway through. It’s so good, Natie.” I want to tell her more but don’t want to ruin it for her.
A few minutes of warming up, Natalie meanders into the kitchen, I assume for a cup of black gold from the gods as she calls it.
“Jeeze, Celeste. How long have you been up?” she asks from the kitchen.
I shrug. “My body woke me up at six and I couldn’t go back to sleep.” I’m too used to getting up for work.
“No wonder you’ve already finished half of the book. Now I feel like a lazy ass.” She grumps.
“You’re on vacation. You’re supposed to be lazy.” I say, my eyes still on my book.
“Celeste, why are there two mugs in the sink?” her voice filled with wonder.
I look up at her with beat red cheeks. “I might have had a visitor this morning,” I tell her feeling a bit guilty as hell.
“How was Klaus this morning?” She asks in a sharp voice.
I purse my lips and draw my brows together. “Klaus wasn’t here this morning. Why would you think it was Klaus?”
“It wasn’t him?” She asks eagerly.
“No, it was his brother Eull. You know the guy who ran into me yesterday when we got here?” Oh, is that a bit of jealousy I hear in her voice.
“Wait… what? Why was he here?” She fires the questions at me.
I shrug. “I’m not really sure why he came over, to begin with…”
“I feel like there’s a but coming or there’s something you’re not telling me.” She pursues.
We have a lot to talk about. After I told Natalie everything that happened with Eull and me, we decided to take a trip to Helen, the little town that is near the resort. We needed warmer jackets if we were going to make it the next four days up here. The Florida winter clothes that we brought with us isn’t going to cut it in this twenty-degree weather. We’re able to find some cute and practical jackets and some warmer leggings. Then we find a cute cafe that specializes in German pastries and hot drinks.
We enjoy more shopping and I talk Natie into eating at an authentic German restaurant. We try the local spätzle and schnitzel. At least she tried it and kind of enjoyed it.
We head back to the cabin so we can get ready for the sleigh ride.
I turn to Natie, “You know what we need? We need a Christmas tree. I think I’ll go find us one instead of the sleigh ride.” This way she’ll get a chance to get all kinds of close and comfortable with her Klaus. I can be devious at times.
“You want me to go with you?” She asks deflatedly.
“Nope, I want to do this on my own. Go ahead and enjoy yourself. You need it” I reassure her. I can't help myself and smile at my genius.
As she changes for her sleigh ride, I change for my hike into the woods. I put on the thick leggings before putting on my jeans. I add thick wool socks and a thermal undershirt before putting on my sweater and jacket. I finish it off with the matching wool scarf and hat.
“Aww, you look so cute!” I say when she walks into the living room.
“I feel like a stuffed sausage. I should probably take one of my shirts off.” She says as I snort with laughter.
I shake my head at her. “Don’t do that. It’s going to be freezing out there, plus the wind will be blowing. You might feel like a sausage now, but you’ll be thankful for your extra layers once you’re out there.”
r /> “Okay, Mom,” she says as she rolls her eyes and heads out the door.
I smile at her smart-ass comment and pull on my new snow boots. Heading for the path by the cabin that leads into the woods, I start looking right away for a tree. I hope that I can find one quickly so I can go look for Eull. Maybe we can start up where we left off. I’m grinning like a cat that got caught in the cream when I start actually looking around at my surroundings. I didn’t realize that I was wandering around aimlessly until now. The wind has picked up and snow is falling in sheets. I thought snow was these delicate small pieces of frozen rain. Hell, no. These are great big pieces of cotton balls. It feels soft but the wind is biting at my face. I give up on the tree and try to find the path back to the cabin. How can it get so dark so fast?
I try not to panic but I think my situation may be dire. For fuck’s sake, give me a hurricane, I know what to do then, but a freak blizzard. This is insane. I stumble and land face first in a fast building snowdrift. How can it collect so quickly? I pull myself up and start thinking about survival skills that I saw on some wilderness survival show.
It says to stay put if lost. I can rightly agree that I’m officially lost. I find a large tree and plant myself on the side that the wind is not blowing. I use it as a natural windbreak. The temperature had dropped dramatically in the last thirty minutes.
When my feet and hands start to go numb, then I really start to panic. The image of that actor frozen in that horror movie about the haunted killer hotel flashes before my eyes.
I look up when I hear something that sounds like a man’s voice. It could be my imagination, and the wind is playing tricks on me. Then a shadow comes toward me out of the fallen snow. I squint my eyes, oh lord thank you. It’s Eull.
He grabs me by my arms and pulls me into his chest. Leaning his mouth down near my ear he yells, “What the hell were you thinking? Coming out looking for a tree in a blizzard.”
“It wasn’t even snowing when I started out.” I weakly respond through chattering teeth.
