Taking Risk Series Page 31

by Toni Aleo

I’m not sure, but I know I have to be in her. Though I know if I do, I’m going to come the second I am inside. Going up on my knees again, I release my cock from my pants and take it in my hand as I stare down at her. Reaching down for her, I bring her to me, moving my mouth with hers. I need to come real quick, and then I’ll get in her. I should have done this before I took her to bed, but I wasn’t thinking clearly then. Now, I have to take care of this before I embarrass myself.

“What are you doing?” she asks, moving her hands along my chest under my shirt. “Aren’t I supposed to do that?”

I smile shyly before pausing my stroke to take my jacket off and then my shirt. Shaking my head, I say, “Just kiss me. It’ll be quick, and then I’ll take care of you again.”

“But aren’t you supposed to be inside me now?” she asks as I start to stroke myself again.

“No, if I get in you, I’ll be done. Gotta get this first one out,” I pant as my body goes taut. I want to come so badly, but she is looking at me like I have three heads!

“Well, let me do it, then.”

“No, not yet. Soon,” I say, picking up speed. “Kiss me.”

I don’t know why I thought she’d do as I said. With a sneaky grin on her face, she stops my strokes and takes my cock into her hand. Everything goes still—my body, my mind, everything as I watch her discover me. She runs her hand along me, cupping my balls, but then she goes to lower her mouth to me, and I don’t know why, but I stop her.

“Mo stór, what are you doing?”

“I’m going to suck you off.”

“What? Have you done it before?”

  She smiles shyly. “No.”

Before I can stop her though, her mouth is hovering over the tip of my dick and everything just freezes. I swear the world has been knocked off its axis as her hot mouth takes me inch by inch into her mouth. As I close my eyes, my fingers bite into my palms as she moves her mouth up and down my cock. She gags a bit and I want to stop her, but she continues, discovering some more.

“Fucking hell, Amberlyn,” I groan out as she swirls her tongue around me, cupping my balls. It’s sloppy, and I can tell it’s her first time, but it’s good. Real. Good.

  “Oh my!”

Opening my eyes, I look toward the door where my ma stands as Amberlyn screams and falls off the bed.

“Ma!” I yell, reaching for the pillow near me to cover my junk. I look down at Amberlyn, naked and sprawled out on my floor as my ma utters an apology before slamming the door. Ignoring her though, I go to reach for Amberlyn, and I can see the tears in her eyes.

  Fuck me.

  Chapter 8

  Declan

  Panicked, I reach for her.

“Love, I’m sorry,” I say, pulling her up onto the bed and into my arms. “I don’t know what she was doing.”

She meets my gaze, her embarrassment all over her face as she gasps for breath. “OhmyGodOhmyGodOhmyGodOhmyGodOhmyGod!”

“It’s okay, doubt she saw anything,” I say to make it better, but I’m pretty sure my ma probably feels like she walked into an HBO porno.

She looks at me incredulously and yells, “Your. Mom. Saw. Me. Giving. You. Head! Declan! OhmyGod.”

“Amberlyn, it’s fine,” I say again, but she is already scrambling off the bed.

“Is she still in there?” she asks, pulling her dress up over her beautiful body. “OhmyGod, can you please take me home?”

“Amberlyn,” I say, reaching for her hand, and when I pull her to look at her face, I see that she is crying. “Oh, mo stór, please don’t cry,” I say, pulling her onto the bed and against my chest. “It’s no big deal.”

“Declan, stop. It is a big deal. She saw me with your dick in my mouth. Not what I want your mother to see!”

“I know,” I say, kissing her temple before running my thumbs along her cheeks. Closing my eyes, I beg myself not to laugh. I feel it bubbling in my throat, and I know if I let it loose, she might castrate me. “I’m sorry. I should have locked the door. I just wanted ya so bad.”

She hides her face in my neck as she wraps her arms around my shoulders. “I’m so embarrassed. How am I supposed to look at her?”

  “In her eyes?”

“You’re not funny,” she says against my throat.

“Yeah, but it is kinda funny, don’t you think?” I ask, and when she pulls back to look at me, I wish I hadn’t.

With her eyes in slits, she says, “How is your mother seeing me with your dick down my throat funny?”

“Eh, I mean,” I stutter as I hold in my laughter. I’ve never been caught with a girl in my bed, so I am sure this is as awkward for my ma as it is for me, a bit. But then again, it really is funny. “It’s just our luck, ya know? First time together and we get interrupted.”

“I’m sorry, I can’t find the humor in this,” she says, annoyance coming off her in waves.

  “Yeah, maybe not…I’m sorry?”

I move my head to where she can see me and grin widely at her. She doesn’t smile, but that doesn’t stop me. Leaning toward her, I kiss her bottom lip. “Don’t be mad, love.” Then the side of her mouth. “I promise, she won’t even remember it.” I kiss her bottom lip once more. “I love you, so much.” Before she can say it back, I capture her lips as a smile starts to form. Like I want, she responds to my kisses, wrapping her arms around me as I do the same to her, lying back in the bed with her on top of me. As we kiss, I run my hand down her ribs to her arse, holding her as our mouths move together. When her legs fall to the side of my hips, I throb against her, wanting her, but then she pulls away.

“I think the moment was ruined.”

“Yeah, a bit, but I’m sure we can bring it back,” I say, cupping her by the back of the head and pressing my lips to hers. Just as I am about to move my tongue into her sweet, hot mouth, a knock comes to my door.

“Declan, son, I need to talk to ya.”

“Fucking shite,” I mutter, and when I meet her look of horror, I shake my head. “I’m sorry, one second.”

“I want to die,” she mutters and I glare.

  “Not funny.”

She smiles. “You get to joke about things that aren’t funny, then so do I.”

“Not about that,” I say, smacking her arse playfully. She smiles as I slowly set her beside me. I get up, pulling my boxers on before reaching for the door. Meeting my ma’s embarrassed regard, I glare as I shut the door behind me.

  “Ma, really?”

“I’m sorry for interrupting, but you ran off from dinner. We needed to speak to the both of you about the engagement party.”

“Well, obviously we wanted to be alone.”

“Sure, but we needed to talk.”

  “Yeah, but knock next time.”

“How was I supposed to know you’d run off to fornicate?”

“Because we are engaged! I don’t know, Ma, shite, knock on a door!”

“I said I was sorry. Still, we have lots to discuss.”

“Well, I guarantee ya, it won’t happen tonight. You’ve embarrassed the living shite out of her, Ma,” I say, pointing to the door. “And me.”

“I’ll say it again. I’m sorry, but like I said, we have a lot to discuss.”

“I don’t care!” I yell, and I hate that I did that. I don’t raise my voice to my ma. I have way more respect for her than that, but all I see are the tears in Amberlyn’s eyes. I’m pretty sure her first time has been ruined. While a part of me wants to go back in there and take her, I know this can’t be her first time. Closing my eyes, I let out a breath before meeting my ma’s unhappy gaze. “I’m sorry, but Ma, I don’t care about planning shite right now. I want to spend time with my fiancée, who is healthy and alive. Please, give us time to be us.”

“We don’t have time, Declan. It’s coming up very fast,” she says with a shake of her head.

“Ma, please,” I say, rubbing my temples. “You’re driving me mad, for sure.”

She sets me with a look
, but before either of us can say anything, the door opens and Amberlyn appears. Her face is bright red, hell, even her skin is glowing, and she doesn’t look my ma in the eyes as she says, “They’re right. We don’t have much time.”

“I understand that, but we’re a bit busy, yeah?”

She looks up at me, and I know we might have been, but we’re not anymore. Which is probably for the best. “We have the rest of our lives to be busy.”

I hold her gaze for a moment and then turn to my ma who is also as red as Amberlyn is. “Ma, we’re coming. Let me get dressed.”

“Grand, thank you.” Thankfully, she leaves, and when Amberlyn goes to pass me, I stop her. Wrapping my arms around her waist, I kiss the side of her mouth.

  “You’re not mad?”

She shakes her head. “Mad is the least thing I am. Embarrassed and horny is more like it.”

I smile. “I owe you busy time.”

“You do,” she says with a nod. “Soon, I hope.”

  “Very soon.”

  And that’s a promise.

Now, I gotta find the time and I gotta make sure the damn door is locked.

  Chapter 9

  Amberlyn

  “No way!”

I look over at Fiona, a deadpan look on my face. I am still completely embarrassed from the other night. All I see is Mrs. O’Callaghan’s wide eyes and her look of utter shock. I never wanted to look her in the face again, but not even twenty minutes later, I was at the table planning my engagement party. It was easy to say, I could not make eye contact without burning with embarrassment. Ugh. The horror. To top it all off, I have to go wedding dress shopping with her and Lena, along with my aunt and Fiona. I’m so excited to see her, I can’t stand it.

  Not.

“I shit you not! I had his dick down my throat, and all of a sudden, ‘Oh, hello, Mrs. O’Callaghan!’”

Falling onto the bar, Fiona loses it. She is laughing so hard, she can’t breathe and her face is turning red.

  “I don’t find this funny.”

“Oh my God,” she wheezes, smacking her hand on the bar.

“Don’t laugh, it’s not funny,” I say once more, but she waves me off.

“Don’t look at me, I can’t handle it! Oh my God!” she dissolves in laughter, falling to the floor, holding her gut.

“You’re a bitch,” I say, throwing my towel at her before going to the back to restock the trays. A grin pulls at my lips as I start to fill the trays. It’s not funny, but I love Fiona’s laugh. It’s so loud and obnoxious but totally her. When I hear her come into the kitchen, I drop my grin as I stuff the tray with cherries.

“But really, how does this happen to you? I mean, you can’t get a break. You’re either yawning, people walking in, sleeping, or getting shot.”

I look up at her and she grins, and I smile back. No one has joked about the shooting, but leave it to Fiona to be the first. “Too soon?”

I shake my head. “Not at all.”

“Good, but really, are yous two ever gonna have sex?”

I scoff, shaking my head. It’s been a week since I’ve been alone with Declan, so her question is one I’ve been asking myself a lot lately. I hadn’t been able to talk to Fiona about it because she and Kane went on a holiday together. So we are playing catch-up while we prep. Which is nice as I’ve missed her. “I don’t know. It’s so frustrating. He’s always working now, like hardcore, because everything is getting transferred into his name. And then when I go for dinner, his mom and Lena won’t let me out of their sight. It’s driving me bonkers.”

“Aye, I can understand that,” she says with a nod, taking a knife to cut oranges. “Was what you got good at least?”

I close my eyes, letting out a breath. “I know it was my first time, but my God, he has the mouth of an angel.”

She laughs. “Good, if he likes going between the legs, you’ll never go unsatisfied.”

“Oh, he likes it,” I say with a giggle. “And I liked doing it to him, until his fucking mom walked in.”

“Why didn’t he lock the door?”

I shake my head. “We started making out, and then we were on the bed, so really, no one really thought of the door.”

  “That’s crazy.”

“Right?! And he wants me to live there! Are you kidding me? I can’t even get laid because his mom is up my ass all the time.”

She nods, meeting my gaze across the table. “Yeah, I feel ya, but I told ya about this. They have traditions and expectations. All O’Callaghans live in that house. Together.”

I shake my head. “Well, that’s gonna have to change. I don’t want to live with them; I want to live with Declan, by ourselves.”

She shakes her head. “Good luck with that.”

I bite my lip as I move to start cutting up the limes. As the knife slices through each one, I play her words over and over again. Looking up, I ask, “Do you think I’m wrong for not wanting to live there?”

“No,” she says simply. “I wouldn’t want to either, but it’s part of the package, ya know? I’m just worried it will cause problems once ya make you sentiments known is all.”

“Yeah, his mom was irritated that I didn’t want to get married on the O’Callaghan land and that Declan agreed with me.”

She snapped her head up, a look of pure horror on her face. “Fuckin’ hell, Amberlyn! They all get married on that land.”

I shrug, not the least bit worried that I may have pissed his mom off. It is my wedding. Shouldn’t it be my choice? “Yeah, but I want to get married where my mom and dad did, by the lake.”

She smiles. “That’s where I’m gonna get married. Where my ma and da did. That’s grand.”

  “Yeah, Aunt Shelia is excited.”

  “Sure, she is. It’s fierce.”

  I smile. “I think so.”

We fall silent for a second as we continue to cut up the fruit. We make quick work of the trays, and as we clean, we chat about her holiday. They went camping, which I think is hilarious since Fiona isn’t an outdoors kind of girl, but apparently, she had a blast.

“We had sex everywhere, and I mean everywhere. The lake, the dock, the tent, the car, the four-wheeler, everywhere. It was more of a sex holiday than a relaxed one, but then again, I feel great.”

I giggle as I shake my head. “Must be nice.”

“Oh, it was, so damn nice. Mm. Damn, my man fucks like a dream.”

“Ugh, shut up,” I groan as I wipe the counter around the trays since the juice leaked some.

“Envy green isn’t a pretty color on ya!”

“Oh hush,” I throw back at her while she carries on with her laughter. Passing by me, she flips my ponytail up, and I try to smack her with my towel, but she is quicker than I thought. With a grin on my face, I grab the bucket for ice to go fill it. When I come back, Fiona is wiping around the liquor chest, which I’ve already done, but nothing can be too clean. I dump the ice in the cooler and go to get more when I feel her staring at me.

Looking at her, I ask, “What?”

  “Just be careful, okay?”

My brows come together. “About what?”

“With Declan. I know you won’t leave him ’cause ya love him and all, and I doubt he’ll want to leave ya, but his family is very powerful.”

I scoff. “You make them sound like the mafia or something.”

“Might as well be,” she answers with a shrug. “I’m just saying, be careful. Give a little with the small things, so when you fight for the big things, it won’t be that big of a deal, ya know?”

I bite the inside of my cheek as I shrug. “I shouldn’t have to give for anything, except with Declan.”

“You’re right, but his ma has a lot of pull with him. Remember, she is the first woman he ever loved. No one can be his ma.”

“But you told me not to let them change me.”

“I did, and I still want that, but it worries me, ya know? I don’t want you to get hurt.”

  I nod.
I don’t think Declan would allow that to happen.”

“Yeah, I don’t either, but just be careful, okay?”

“Yeah, I will,” I agree just to make her happy, but I know I have nothing to worry about.

Declan won’t hurt me and he won’t allow anyone to hurt me.

When the door opens, I look up to see Kane walking in in his carefree way. Dressed in a pair of jeans and an O’Callaghan tee, his brown hair is pushed to the side out of his eyes that are trained on Fiona.

Smiling, I glance at her as she squeals, closing the distance between them to kiss her man deeply. I hate that I am jealous of them. I haven’t been able to really kiss Declan in what seems like forever. I miss him. Turning so that I don’t have to watch the display of love, which is horrible of me, I know, I pull out my phone and text him.

  I miss you.

  I miss you. That’s why I’m here.

Confused, I hear the door open. Turning, I find Declan standing there, a grin on his face and a small white flower in his hand. He wears a pair of gray slacks with a light blue button-down shirt and a gray sports coat over it. It fits him so tightly around his shoulders and thighs that I find myself drooling over my fiancé. I can’t wait to see him at our wedding. Looking all dashing and all mine.

Grinning, I watch as he comes to me while I lean on the bar, my heart kicking up in speed. It always does that when he is around. It just jackhammers against my chest while my stomach does funny little flops. I pray this feeling never stops. I remember my mom saying that my dad did something to her chest every time he smiled at her. She said it felt as if he was standing there with a sledgehammer, just pounding away around her chest to get to her heart. I always thought it was a scary-sounding feeling, but now that I have Declan in my life, I totally get it.

  He does that to me.

As he grins at me, I am completely stunned. I’ve always thought he was a beautiful man, but he is also very regal. Maybe it’s the suit, but my goodness, he owns the room. He’s been in meetings all week with lawyers and the other associates of O’Callaghan Whiskey, and I swear, he belongs there. He looks like the owner of a company.
