So the question was good-natured ribbing between friends and lovers.
“Of course,” he replied in kind. He kissed the top of her head. “I’ll even take you out to dinner tomorrow night. To celebrate your new permanent position at Edgeworth, Epstein, and Kendrick.”
“I still have two months left on my internship.” But she felt a glow of pride all the same. She knew a lot of people might think she’d worked her way up on her back, but that wasn’t entirely true. She wouldn’t have been at that dinner tonight unless Robert believed she knew what she was doing.
Bryce caressed her hips. “A mere technicality. You’ll be the youngest junior partner in the history of E, E, and K in no time. I’d bet on it.” He slid a finger beneath her chin and lifted her face until she met his eyes. “You’re incredible, Kitty. Don’t forget it.”
She blinked in surprise at Bryce’s suddenly sincere tone. She felt incredible, better than she ever had in her life. Sore, exhausted, but exhilarated too. “I won’t,” she assured him, just as seriously.
The soft look on his handsome face broke apart like a covering of clouds, revealing the roguish grin that was his trademark. “So, back to my place?” He waggled his blond brows. Anastasia groaned, laughing.
“I don’t know if I can move and you’re still up for another round? Don’t you have some intern you can call?”
He patted her ass. “You’re it, babe. Tell you what. We’ll call Victoria, see what she’s up to. Then you can shower and the two of us will lick every inch of your pretty white skin until you pass out from pleasure.”
She had to admit, the prospect of laying there and letting her two dearest friends and lovers worship her body had it’s merits. She deserved some attention, after all the hard work she’d put in tonight. Both mentally (in preparing the proposal for Parker) and sexually. She grinned at Bryce, already climbing off him and reaching for her dress.
