Primal Attraction (Shadowlands Bear Shifters Book 2)

“I love you,” she told him, her lips parting from his, her heart beating hard in her chest.
“I completely adore you, honey,” he said.
He gave her a few pecks in her cheek, her neck, her lips. Hot water poured down from the rain shower head. Every inch of her body was stimulated, relaxed and hot.
He kissed her deeply, this time his tongue found hers and retreated, then came back. He loved to tease her.
She moaned. Being this close to him, immersed in his kiss under the water was going to prove harder to resist than she thought. Not that she ever wanted to resist him.
He bit her lower lip and she put her arms around his neck, finally letting go. Letting this hunk of a man take her.
His cock grazed her thigh, harder than ever, and she felt her juices moistening her sex. It was unmistakable, he had complete control over her, and she loved it.
He loved teasing her, grazing his manhood in her clit, as if he was her sex toy.
She grabbed it, and pressed it harder against her, jerking it off.
He kissed her neck and her chest, biting her softly here and there as she rubbed his cock harder on her spot. She was dripping wet now, the whole idea was so perverted... masturbating with her lover’s cock.
He pulled her hair down gently, leaving all of her front exposed to him. His mouth and tongue exploring her body. He kissed her breast, going slowly to her nipple, her ragged breath a barely audible whisper of lust.
“Take me, Maverick,” she said, “I’m yours, take me now.”
He lifted her and she straddled him, kissing him hard, deep and wet, Faith going crazy with desire. She would not be able to stop until he was inside her.
He pinned her against the glass wall, his cock threatening her entrance but not going in. She was exploding with desire now.
“I love you,” Mav said.
“I love you too.”
His cock threatened her entrance, but held outside, his teasing was almost unbearable.
“Fuck me, Maverick,” she said, “fuck me, please.”
Her words surprised her more than they should have. She’d never felt so free with anyone before, she had never loved like this, she had never been loved like this. It was liberating.
His thick, hard cock slid inside her, her moan loud as she held him tighter. She loved the feeling of his cock entering her. It was pleasure and pain at the same time: he was too big for someone like her, and the mere thought of that fueled her fire.
They found their rhythm, in, out, in, out. Her clit pressed against his waist, again and again and again as he fucked her; her g spot harboring an electric orgasm, almost ready to explode.
She was screaming in pleasure now, filling the whole cabin with her lust. She gave herself to him and he did the same.
She was his. He was hers.
He moaned, his cock went a bit faster. She loved to hear him come inside her, to be filled with his sperm.
She held his shoulders, and pulled herself up, riding him in the shower. His rod slid in and out and she felt her orgasm building up inside, like a thunder bolt ready to strike.
“I’m gonna cum,” she said, her voice wavering, “I’m gonna cum honey, keep fucking me like that.”
She was such a filthy mouthed girl when it came to this.
“Say you love me,” he commanded.
“I love you,” she obeyed.
“I love you, honey,” he said, his embrace tight, pushing her even harder against the shower’s glass wall.
“Drink me.”
His hot body pressed against hers, his chest, abs, arms. She was flooded with his sensation.
“No, no...” she said, her fangs already protruding.
“You know you want to drink me. I want you to come as you taste me.”
His words... his dirty mind. Her lust consumed her.
She sank her fangs on him and he penetrated her harder. A drop, two drops and there it was. An explosion surging from her, his semen filling her up, her incredibly loud scream filling the air as she felt herself melting in his arms, her body turned to jelly as the long orgasm lingered and faded.
They held each other under the hot water for a minute, then she giggled.
“What?” he asked.
“I think I’m not going to be able to walk now.”
He laughed.
“Don’t worry, I can carry you anywhere you want.”
She laughed, rolling her eyes.
“Come on honey, we’re already late,” she said.

Rosenberg was bustling with people. It was the first day of spring, and the traditional floats parade was about to begin. The whole crew left early and got one of the best spots. Raiden’s daughter, Deedee, went to the parade dressed as a honey bee. She loved costumes.
“It’s starting!” she said.
She was almost unable to contain her excitement.
“Dad, dad!” she said, her arms raised.
Raiden picked her up and put her on his broad shoulders. Mav laughed and looked at Faith. This was the first time in a long time that she would be able to see something like that.
The floats started rolling in, they were magnificent, a big bald eagle fronted them, followed by a procession of swans and a space car driven by Martians.
Colors and sounds meshed together for an absolutely enchanting experience.
Faith had never seen anything like it. The floats must have taken months to build, they looked like cartoons come to life. The town was alive, she was part of the community, not an outsider living in the shadows.
She held Maverick’s hand tighter.
“Thank you,” she whispered in his ear.
He stole a kiss from her and jumped over the metal barrier, running to the street.
“Mav, what are you doing?” she shouted at him, but he didn’t hear her, he continued running and turned to her in the middle of the street.
A huge float was coming, it had a sloped surface covered in flowers, big cartoony trees going up the slope. On its front, a big bear’s head opened its mouth, ready to eat anything and everything on its path.
“That’s us, dad!” Dee said. Raiden looked up and nodded.
Maverick ran towards the bear’s head, Faith turned to the crew, but they seemed just as curious as her.
“Guys! What’s he doing? He’s gonna get arrested!”
Damien turned to her, trying to hide his smile.
“Faith!” Mav yelled from afar, “I love you!”
People were looking at her, what was happening?
The float reached them, Mav had gone through the Bears mouth and climbed up to the middle of the float, were a small platform was set in the middle of the trees. Mav called her, but Faith needed a few seconds to take everything in. Then she saw the whole town cheering for her to join him.
“Faaaaaaith,” Dee said, “you’re taking too long! Go!”
She crossed the barrier and as she got closer, Maverick pressed a button on the side of a tree and dozens upon dozens of small LED lights started blinking one after the other, randomly.
It’s the firefly spot, in the forest. She smiled as she climbed the stairs inside the bear’s mouth to reach Maverick.
“What’s going on?” she asked.
“I can’t live without you, that’s what’s going on,” Maverick said with a huge smile.
She still wasn’t understanding until he went down on one knee, taking a small black box from his pocket.
All her body tensed up, her heart beat faster than ever, and for a second she had tunnel vision. She was going to faint! No, she had to resist! She heard him and his words brought her back.
“There is not a second that passes that I’m not thankful for meeting you,” Mav started, “you are the reason I’m alive, you’re the reason I live. You’re my everything.”
She started to tear up, but she wasn’t going to cry. Not this time, not in front of all these people for chrissakes!
“I’ve never met so
meone so beautiful,” he continued, “so full of love and strength, I want to be by your side forever. I love you.”
He opened the black box and took out a big, beautiful diamond ring. My wedding ring.
She laughed and tried to hold back the tears of joy but it was impossible. She couldn’t do it. She’d never been so happy.
“Would you marry me, Faith Donovan?”
“Yes!” she shouted instantly, “yes, yes, yes I’ll marry you, you crazy man!”
He put the ring in her finger, stood up and kissed her. Fireworks went up the sky and exploded in a million different colors. The whole town was cheering. Dee was moving both of her arms in the air, laughing.
“We need to get off now,” Mav whispered to her, “we can’t hold the parade any longer.”
He lifted her in his arms and carried her to the barrier. When Mav finally put her down and kissed her, she felt like floating.
This was the best day of her life.
Epilogue
— Three Years Later —
Maverick’s stomach rumbled, he’d been waiting a while now.
“Relax honey! It’s almost our turn,” Faith said, giggling.
“I know, I know, don’t worry, I can wait.”
They’d gone to Rosenberg’s Community Hospital blood donation camp. Faith was going to go with Mav but he convinced everyone to go.
“It’s a once a year kind of thing,” he’d told them, and now they were here. They couldn’t have anything for breakfast so the bears were already starving.
They just needed to sign the release forms, then the nurse would take a blood sample for pre–screening and then they called you in for the donation.
Franklin and Damien had already gone in, and were waiting for the rest of the crew to finish while they ate up the thank–you muffins they gave them after their part was done. Raiden and Enzo were next but hadn’t come out yet.
A tall, middle aged doctor approached their table. Her smile beaming at Faith.
“I’m so glad you could come,” she said.
“Thanks, it’s our pleasure really,” Faith said.
“Guys,” Mav said, “remember Ava? from the wedding?”
Zoe nodded, “Sure! You’re Faith’s sister, right?”
“Yes, you remembered!”
“I didn’t know you worked at a hospital, I thought you had your own private practice” Zoe said.
Ava looked at Faith, then back at Zoe.
“Well, I do both, this is more of a pro–bono kind of thing, you know, to help people.”
“I fuckin’ hate needles,” Raiden said, walking to the crew, not paying attention.
He flexed his forearm to hold a ball of cotton. When Ava turned to see him he stopped, coughed and swiftly combed his white hair.
“I’m sorry, doc, I didn’t want to offend you.”
Ava looked at him, looking small against his big, strong frame.
“No offense taken.”
“Raiden,” Mav said, “remember Ava? From the wedding?”
He looked confused, and nodded slowly.
“Yeah sure, the name rings a bell—?”
“Faith’s sister?”
“Oh! Oh, damn. Yeah, sure. Ava, I didn’t recognize you, it’s been a while!”
“Yes, a long time! You were too busy running after your daughter, so no harm done.”
“She had too much cake.”
A nurse called from the cabins.
“Maverick and Faith Castle, please come in.”
“That’s us,” Mav said.
They stood up and walked to the nurse.
“Doctor, can you join us, please?” the nurse said.
“Sure,” she said, following her sister and brother–in–law.
After fifteen minutes, Maverick came out. His muffin lasted him two bites.
“Oh my God I needed that food!” he said, “Faith hasn’t come out yet?
“Nah,” said Enzo. The whole crew was waiting for her now.
“Are we going somewhere after here?” Zoe asked, “you guys wanna go get breakfast?”
“Yes,” they all said in unison.
Faith hadn’t returned yet. He started to worry. What was holding her for so long?
“Let me go check on Faith, make sure everything’s all right.”
“Don’t worry,” Enzo said, “she’ll be fine, I’ve seen her samples, trust me.”
Mav nodded, but couldn’t wait. He had to go see her. Something was not right. The walk to the makeshift room she was in, was one of the longest in his life. As he climbed the three steps up to the door, he saw her, Ava sitting across her, holding Faith’s hands, the nurse was nowhere in sight.
“Hey,” he said, “is everything all right?”
They turned to him, the look on Faith’s face made his hunger vanish in an instant.
“Yes, honey,” Faith said, shifting her eyes, then she fell quiet.
Mav walked to her, “Baby, what’s wrong?”
“I’m going to wait outside,” Ava said, “is that okay Faith?”
Faith nodded. They waited for Ava to leave them alone, then Faith stood up and held Mav’s hands.
“Honey, you’re killing me, just tell me what’s up, please.”
She pressed her lips and held his hands tighter.
Her eyes met his, he could feel her heart beating hard and fast. She was almost trembling.
“I can’t donate blood.”
“What? Why? Is everything okay? What did—?”
“Everything is fine. Don’t worry.”
He felt his hands go sweaty and cold.
“So, what’s the prob—?”
“I’m pregnant.”
It took Mav a few seconds to process what he’d just been told.
“What?” he said, his eyes growing wide.
She couldn’t help but laugh at his expression, he was petrified.
“I’m pregnant with your baby.”
Mav pulled her in, softly.
“But how?”
“I don’t know, it’s a miracle.”
“We’re having a baby,” Mav said, matter of factly.
Faith nodded, “yes.”
“We’re having a baby!” he yelled in excitement, lifting her up in the air, giving her a thousand little kisses.
“We’re having a baby,” then his face full of confusion, “but, is he going to be all right?”
“Ava said everything looks perfectly normal, we don’t have any reason to worry.”
“Oh my God!” he yelled, “I love you, I love you!”
Faith was laughing, “I didn’t know you wanted one so badly.”
He looked at her, his eyes full of wonder. That look always sent shivers down her spine.
She’d remember that day forever. The way he couldn’t hold himself back. The way he asked for her permission to tell the guys. The way he touched her, as if she was made of crystal. The way he looked at her, as if she was the only woman in the world, and nothing else mattered but her.
He would shower her with love every day for the rest of her life.
If that wasn’t enough to lift the curse of darkness, nothing was.
