Dawn- Dragon's Honor Page 13

by D. R. Rosier

I found a pair of brown boots that would work with jeans and pulled them on. Where the hell was he taking me that needed boots?

When I came back out he looked at me approvingly, “Perfect, you are gorgeous.”

He looked confident, but his voice had displayed just a hint of nerves. Perversely that made me feel a lot better. I was a succubus, I had plenty of pickups under my belt, not all that many first dates, or at least, not many when I was actually interested in more than the physical.

I smiled when he opened the car door for me. We started talking, first about work but then moved on to other stuff, when I realized we were leaving the city.

“You kidnapping me?” I asked archly.

He laughed, “I’d never get away with it.”

I raised an eyebrow at him and said in faux accusation, “So, you’ve considered it then?”

He just shook his head, “Nope, you’ll find out when we get there.”

I just sighed, he’d caught on to my plan. I wasn’t all that big on surprises, but so far I was having fun. It was close to two when we pulled off the highway, another ten minutes of smaller streets and we pulled onto a dirt road. It was pleasant feeling all of the life around me, sometimes I forgot spending all my time in the city, nature called to my witch’s soul. Wherever we were it was a lot different from the usual dinner and dancing I was used to.

I didn’t have to wait any longer to find out. Trent had a grin on his face when the stables came into view. Horseback riding? I hadn’t done any since I was a teenager, but I found myself smiling back. I hadn’t seen the usual signs for places like it.

  “What is this place?”

He seemed to understand the real question, “Family friend owns it. He stables a few horses for me, although I’m just a dabbler and don’t get out as often as I should.”

I nodded. It took a few minutes for him to saddle the horses and bring them out.

  “Names?”

He nodded at the horse as he handed me the reigns, “This mare is Rosey,” he patted the horse he was going to ride, “This is Mountain.”

I almost laughed at that, the horse he was riding was one of the largest I’d seen. I took a minute to get to know Rosey. She was around four years old and seemed impatient to be off, but had an otherwise gentle disposition. Mountain was six or seven, and he was calm. If he was human he’d be a couch potato and use the word whatever a lot. I also couldn’t help but notice he had some saddle bags.

Horses weren’t nearly as intelligent as humans, but in some ways they were more perceptive. They recognized me as a witch and it didn’t take long to gain trust. Witches were close to nature, and I’d always loved horses, I couldn’t wait to get going. We mounted up and I followed his lead when he led us onto a trail.

It wasn’t marked, this wasn’t a place the general public could come to ride, but it was apparent Trent knew the area well. I took a deep breath and relaxed, deciding to just live in the moment. This was too good to waste by worrying about what was going on in the rest of my life. He turned off onto a smaller trail that wound into the woods and we dropped off from a canter to a trot. We were a lot closer to the trees now so I kept an eye out for low branches, but Rosey did a good job keeping me safe from such obstructions.

We came out of the trees into a small glade. I could hear a creek nearby, and there were a few patches of wild flowers on the edge of the tree line in the same direction. I could detect several small animals and birds nearby. It felt… right. I supposed there was some truth to the witch in woods stereotype, even if I preferred living in the city.

I realized how much effort Trent had put into this when he took down the saddle bags and started pulling things out. Such as a blanket, a bottle of white wine, and some light foods. Sure, it felt a little over the top in some ways, but I couldn’t help the little girly sigh I felt inside. Surely he knew what I was, I’d have probably let him take me when I answered the door.

  Okay, no probably about it.

Point is, he was making the effort anyway. Being romanced was completely new to me, and I was finding I liked it. I realized it was also a sign of the age difference, not that it was a bad thing. I let him spread the blanket and we sat together.

“I hope you like wine?” he asked.

I was a beer and hard liquor kind of girl, but I didn’t mind a glass from time to time.

“That sounds good. This is really nice.”

He poured us a couple of glasses and I took a sip. I let my succubus power peak out and get the lay of things. He was very attracted to me, which didn’t take my powers to figure out, and he was very controlled. It felt like a slow burn, like his lust for me was a companion rather than his immediate goal. If that makes sense.

It was really turning me on, but I resisted the idea of hitting him with my power. I was enjoying his slow seduction and didn’t want to ruin it. That didn’t stop me from giving flirting touches and sitting in a way that best displayed my attributes though.

He cleared his throat and I could sense he was a little nervous, “If you’re wondering what all this is about,” he waved at the wine and horses, the field, “I really enjoy your company, and I want more than…” He just trailed off.

Keeping with the day’s events and our surroundings I raised an eyebrow and said questioningly, “A simple roll in the hay?”

He chuckled, “Exactly. How do you feel about that?”

I felt like I’d fallen into the twilight zone, a guy asking about defining our relationship? And before we’d even slept together?

I smiled, “I’d like to explore that, but you know what I am? Monogamy just isn’t a possibility. Am I open to a serious relationship? Yes. I’m not indiscriminate, but I need two or preferably three. I like that much more than one night stands. As long as I have a lover, I don’t even bother with them. That also means… well, my friends are your friends. As long as everyone agrees I mean.”

  I really suck as subtle.

He nodded. “I’m okay with that. I’m familiar with the polyamory concept.”

He poured us both another glass.

We talked about other things then. What we wanted out of life. I realized then that the club and business I’d put years into were at the end, meaningless to me. It had no longer been a challenge, or exciting, and had simply become a habit and an easy feeding ground.

I wanted a circle of lovers, like my mother had. In short, a family. I was also very happy with the clinic so far, it felt good to help people. Maybe this thing with Trent wouldn’t work out, but it was worth the effort to find out.

When we finished the second glass Trent took my glass and set them both inside. I relaxed as he pulled me to him, lifted me into his lap, and kissed me. Oh, it was so worth the wait. I gave myself into the kiss, and ran my fingers over his chest and six pack, leaking small amounts of my magic into him. I could feel him harden under me, and I moved to straddle him as our kiss grew hungrier.

He caressed my face as we broke the kiss and looked into my eyes. My breath caught as I saw the way he looked at me. Not with lust, okay, not just with lust, but he also looked at me as if I was something precious, not just someone he was about to take pleasure from. I could feel it too, in his aura and emotions.

I raised my arms when I felt him lifting my shirt. My nipples started to harden and his large manhood pushing against my lady parts was making me wet. I returned the favor then we kissed again and started necking like teenagers while I occasionally ground against him in very small movements. I felt his hand on my back as he unsnapped my bra, freeing my breasts. I gasped in pleasure as he cupped one, then lightly pinched a nipple.

I pushed him back so we were laying down and kissed my way down his hard body while my hands worked on getting his pants undone. I looked up when I got his pants off, his eyes and mind radiated lust and need as he watched me with anticipation. I didn’t look away as I took him in my hands and lowered my head, taking him in my mouth.

  I used my succubus pow
er to link and enhance our pleasure.

He gasped, “Oh god, Dawn,” he said in pleasure and amazement.

I felt his hands on my head, gathering my hair as I went to work. He was big, but I was a succubus and worked him with all my skills using lips, tongue, teethe and throat. I worshipped his hard length with my hand and mouth, feeling the pleasure and energy exchange between us.

My core clenched in need and I slid my other hand down between my legs. I knew he wouldn’t last much longer and I started to circle my clit over the hood of my folds with my fingertips. I moaned in pleasure, vibrating my throat as he lost control and thrust up into me.

He said roughly, “Dawn, I’m going to…”

This spurred me on to greater efforts, I wanted to taste him.

I broke the moment he did, and we shared our blissful rapture. I both fed from his large release of energy, and also fed some back into him, extending our orgasms. I hummed in contentment, swallowing with every burst of seed into my ready throat. When I’d gotten every last drop, I released him and kissed my way back up his body, dribbling light tendrils of energy into him with every touch to quicken his recovery.

By the time I reached his lips, he claimed me in a hard kiss and rolled us over. He pushed my legs apart with his knees and speared my hot wet silken passage with one hard thrust. I gasped into his mouth as he kissed me hungrily, my core fluttering and squeezing up and down the length of his invader.

He groaned in pleasure as I spread my legs further, wrapping them around his waist I pulled him in as deep as I could with my heels. He pulled back and then thrust forward again hard and fast. He took me then, I encouraged him to ravage me, pushed him to take his pleasure, to lose himself in the pleasure I could give him.

I loved it, returning his thrusts with my own, meeting his frenzied and desperate rush to completion with my desire. It didn’t take long, my core worked his shaft expertly as he plundered my body over and over with passionate abandon. I loved that I could drive him to this, and we rose quickly. He slowed as I felt him expanding within me, further stretching my core. He thrust into me two more times, slower, but very hard before he buried himself and emptied into my silken heat.

We just lay there a while as we came down, aftershocks sent trembles up and down my body, little sparks of pleasure.

  He said, “That was… intense.”

I giggled, “You wanted a succubus.”

He groaned, I just kissed him.

It was my turn, I rolled him over while giving his libido another shot. He gasped as I felt him grow again, filling me completely.

He said half kidding, “You’re going to kill me.”

  I snorted, “Not likely…”

He was a young healthy angel after all, healing was a synergy between two beings and he did a lot of it.

This third time was a slow, almost relaxed, decadent fuck. I rode him slowly, savoring every touch, every slide of wet friction as I rose up and slowly slid down his manhood, grinding slowly against him in small circles when he was fully in me. I gasped as he reached up and started to gently knead the flesh of my swaying breasts, teasing my nipples with the pads of his thumbs.

I looked up at the sky and smiled, it would still be a few hours before dark. We had plenty of time…

  Chapter 18

The next week was a very good time. I worked, spent time with Rafe, Trent, or Danielle. I was falling for all three of them, and I was doing something I loved. It was… as good as life got, or so far at least. I’d given some thought about a threesome, but so far I hadn’t seen a reason to push for one. Everyone knew about everyone, but none of them had pushed to meet the others yet.

I was worried about jealousy, they didn’t think it would be a problem, but I wondered if that would change once they met, after all out of sight was out of mind.

I’d also worried about the information I’d gotten from Tanner, but I was pretty sure Rafe’s clan was keeping it close to the vest. They didn’t want war, they seemed to be able to fight their instincts enough to understand fighting every potential threat wasn’t a necessity. Still, it worried me, Ruby and Tal didn’t think that way, but they seemed loyal to Caph so…

I was at work when I felt a surge of anger and disbelief from Rafe. I managed to finish healing the person in front of me, but then I concentrated on Rafe in an attempt to find out what was going on. It seemed my fears weren’t so baseless after all. Ruby, the bitch dragon, had leaked the information about the humans on magic world.

Apparently that was enough for the people favoring invasion to come out on top. Not only that, but Caph had fallen in disfavor for keeping such vital knowledge to himself. I packed it up and sent it to my family, then signed out in the office. I didn’t have a stabilization enchantment, but normal portals weren’t really affected by the blocking magic, only world gates. I surrounded myself in an air bubble.

It wasn’t as good as the dragon’s magic, it wouldn’t refresh the oxygen or pull out the carbon dioxide, but it would easily last long enough. I’m not sure I was thinking straight, I just knew I needed to get to Rafe.

I opened a world gate and stepped through. I was floating in space, I didn’t have the air to mess around, but I couldn’t help but take a few moments to drink in the view. Looking down on a planet from space never got old. I opened a normal portal gate to the clan courtyard and move through it. It was less than graceful, I stumbled a little going through the gravity change but managed to remain standing.

I was getting more information now, Caph wanted to banish Ruby for betraying the clan. Tal was fighting vociferously against it, so much that Rafe was worried he might challenge. There was also a high tension from all the other dragons that I could feel, they were all worried other clans would come and fight them for hiding that information.

In short, it was a bloody mess. It was also my fault.

Rafe sent, “It was not your fault, we chose to hold back the information, Ruby chose to be a traitorous bitch. No, it is not your fault. Now get in here and we can figure out what to do about it.”

I sighed, I knew he was right, but it still felt like I shouldn’t have gone near that building.

I could hear the voices as soon as I walked in.

Caph yelled, “Damnit Ruby, you had no right.”

Ruby replied haughtily, “You are a fool for letting that threat to us exist.”

  Tal growled.

I was getting closer but I could still barely make out Cary’s reasonable voice.

“There are innumerable threats in the multi-verse Ruby. The humans have never shown any desire for conquest, merely the desire to cut off contact, the true enemy is your fear and irrational instinct to strike out.”

I walked in right as Tal growled out, “No, you are a coward, and so is your mate. Ruby is right. Caphlindris, I challenge you for the right to rule this clan.”

  Shit. This so isn’t happening.

  Caph replied coldly, “Accepted.”

I reached Rafe and put my hand on his arm. The atmosphere in the room was grim, and without delay Caph and Tal headed out the way I came, the rest of us following in their wake. It felt… unreal as we reached the outside and they both transformed and jumped into the sky. Caph had lightning, Tal had fire, they wouldn’t have a problem killing each other.

The only plus was Caph was quite a bit larger as a dragon, he must be much older too.

Rafe looked supremely confident in his sovereign and older brother, but I knew the truth, I was in the back of his mind and he was nervous. Caph and Tal were so high up I could hardly see them, I closed my eyes and let myself see what Rafe was seeing. It wasn’t the same, but it was still better than two dots high up in the sky.

They seemed to rise up higher and higher, and I wondered when they would stop. Then suddenly their bodies crashed together. They fought with claws, jaws, breath, and magic all at the same time as they fell toward the earth. It happened so fast, and violently. Caph blasted away Tal’s shield, I could see the ma
gic fall away. Caph’s claw struck like a snake, tearing a large chunk of Tal’s wing away.

Tal cried out in pain and anger and their bodies broke apart. In a last ditch effort Tal shot a ball of fire from his muzzle, but Caph evaded easily as Tal hit the ground. I’d thought it was over, but then Caph hit Tal’s unmoving form with lightning two times before Tal’s body grew still.

I could feel the relief from Rafe, but I was still worried, it might take care of the immediate problem, but what about the other clans? What would they decide?

I felt a surge of anger and hate and turned toward Ruby. Her eyes were… wrong, insane. Was Ruby Tal’s mate as well? Suddenly I was staring into the eyes of a very angry, very insane red dragon.

  Oh crap.

I grabbed at my magic in desperation and time slowed as a gout of fire came at me, Cary, and Rafe. I could have easily stepped out of the way, but that wouldn’t help Rafe or Cary. I knew I could leach the energy from the fire and transmute it, but I wasn’t sure if I could get all of it in time. I pulled up one of the slabs of the courtyard to use as a physical shield instead.

Rafe was in my mind and affected by slow time, so it didn’t take long for him to bring one of his shields up. When that was done I launched the stone at Ruby. It weighed quite a bit and launched her back about a hundred feet. She looked a little stunned for a moment, but was fine.

Ruby’s magic shield made things difficult. Red dragons couldn’t shield, but they all had natural shields and flight magic. I couldn’t create a gravity well inside her, or even right next to her. I could affect the raw magic she was using, but dragon’s had so much of it, there was no way to drain it fast enough. I could only use my magic to effect the environment. I got ready to pull in another storm thinking it was the best way.

But I’d forgotten Rafe was in slow time with me, he was just as fast and didn’t hesitate or think things through. He hit her shield with a burst of magic so dense it bent the light making it visible to the naked eyes. It ripped into her shield and tore it away.
