I pop up out of my chair and head for the stairs.
“Where are you going?” Cohen calls out.
“Well, fuck, you’ve made it impossible to concentrate on any of this, haven’t you? Come on, let’s get outside and clear our heads. Here, I’ll grab us a coffee.” I walk over to the old style tv table that we’ve got a machine set up on and pick a couple mugs up, quickly inspecting them before filling each one with coffee. I hand one to Cohen and jerk my head toward the door. “C’mon, let’s go.”
“Pfft, done.” His mouth cocks up into a half smirk. “If all it takes to get out of doing taxes is being sad, I want to go on the record that I’m gonna be sad in the next quarter too,” he jokes.
“Yeah, well, get some therapy then ’cause you’re not using it as an excuse.” I scoff.
We walk out into the Hawaiian heat and the air surrounds me like a humid hug. Cohen and I walk across the hot sand behind the shop and stare out into the ocean. There’s something about watching those blue-green waves rolling in, smelling the salt in my nostrils, feeling it mix with the sweat on my skin, it’s like a natural tranquilizer calming the inner beast.
“Do you think there’s any chance she’ll leave and then come back?” Cohen’s voice is full of hope. “Like, she’ll get back to Ohio and realize how much it sucks and miss us and she’ll head back here?”
The idea floats hope through my chest, even though I tell myself there’s no way it’s gonna happen and it’s not realistic, my heart doesn’t give a fuck.
“Let’s say she did,” I answer slowly, frowning down at my coffee. “If she came back in a month or two, how would it work? Long-term I mean. Right now, I think one of the reasons this is all working out so well is because we all know it’s not permanent, don’t you?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, if she came back and this wasn’t some kind of short-lived vacation deal, what would that look like in real life? There’d probably be times she only wanted to be with me or only wanted to be with you, right? It’s not like every single day she’d only want to go out with both of us, it’s not like every single time she wanted some dick she’d want us both all over her, you see what I’m saying? Right now it’s easy to make this work because it’s for a short time and she can’t get enough of us both. What if the novelty wore off? Wouldn’t you get jealous if one week she was hanging out with me all the time? I don’t know if I’d get jealous or not, but I think I’d get insulted if I felt like she was always ditching me for you.”
Cohen and I sip our coffee in silence, both of us deep in thought. He looks up at the palm trees, squinting at the tops for so long that I end up staring up at them too, but I’m not sure why.
“I don’t think it would be a big deal, honestly,” he finally answers.
“Oh, no?”
“Nah, man. Think of it like this, let’s say you’re a coconut.” He points to the fruit hanging from the tree.
“Uh, okay?” I raise an eyebrow.
“And I’m like a banana,” he continues.
“Wait, what? First of all, is this some kind of dick joke or something, ’cause if anyone is a banana we both know it’s me.” I stand taller.
“No, listen, you’re a coconut because they’re all hairy and they’ve got a hard shell and stuff, all right? And bananas are sweeter, that’s all. I mean, if they also happen to be thick and long, it’s not my fault.” He grins.
“Where are you going with this?” I sigh.
“Right, so you’re a coconut and I’m a banana. Sometimes Joss is going to really have a craving for coconut. I’m not a coconut and can never be one, that’s the way it is when you’re a thick, long, ripe banana—”
“Your point, please,” I interrupt.
Cohen’s eyes crinkle up in the corners as he enjoys getting a rise out of me.
“And some days Joss is going to be all about bananas. As a coconut, you would know she’s not rejecting you, right? It’s just she’s craving something different. If she came to stay here, the way I see it, I’d accept the days she’s all about coconut. It doesn’t mean she is giving the cold shoulder to bananas. Coconut is its own unique flavor and one she would want to eat alone sometimes.”
“Okay.” I frown. As stupid as this conversation might be, Cohen makes a good point. For once.
“On the days she’s hungry for a big, fat banana.” he smirks. “It wouldn’t mean she suddenly hates coconuts. It means the banana gives her some sweetness she can’t get from coconut. That’s not how coconut tastes.”
“You’re an idiot.” I laugh and Cohen does too. “But I think you make some sense.” I nod.
“I’m not just a pretty face, or a big ol’ banana.” He laughs again.
“Yeah, whatever.” I roll my eyes. “Going with your analogy though, there’d also be days she’s craving some fruit salad, right?”
“You got it, and that’s when it would be like it is now, all three of us doing our thing, getting all sticky and sweet.”
“Yeah.” Memories of spreading her open and fucking her from behind while Joss nearly swallowed Cohen’s, uh, banana pop up in my mind. “When you put it like that, it makes me more sad.”
“No, why would it?” he answers.
“Because I see how easily we could make it work, like permanently.” I stare up at the coconut tree.
“Oh.” Cohen follows my gaze.
I shake my head, trying to push out my mopey thoughts, and gulp back the last of my coffee. “We’ve gotta stop and get back to work though. We’re acting like Joss only has five more days to live when we need to focus on the fact that we get five more days with her. If we keep this up, we’re going to fuck up the only time we have left.”
“You’re right, I know.” Cohen sighs. “We should try to make the best memories while she’s still here. And, who knows? Maybe she’ll have such a good time she’ll go back to the mainland and decide she can’t live life without her fruit salad.” He gives a weak smile.
“Maybe,” I answer. “In the meantime, if we don’t get our asses back inside and get those taxes done, the only fruit salad you’ll ever be eating again will be when they serve it out of a can in federal prison.”
Cohen cringes. “True. Fine, let’s get back at it, you furry little coconut.”
“If you think I’m calling you a thick, long banana, you need to think again.” I scoff and walk across the sand toward the shop.
“You don’t need to,” Cohen calls out “I can see in your eyes, you know it’s true.”
“Let’s go,” I yell back over my shoulder.
Cohen trudges up behind me laughing and I can’t help but smirk. At least we’re both in a good mood again, but with Joss leaving us in five more days I know these moments are going to be short lived. As much as I don’t want to think about it, knowing she’s leaving hangs over me like a dark cloud ready to rain out a day of surfing.
I don’t want to admit it, but I’m clinging onto a shred of hope she’ll come back to us. That she’ll crave her fruit salad so much that apples and pears by themselves won’t cut it anymore, because I’m pretty sure plain fruit is ruined for me for life.

“Are you cold?” Cohen watches me rub my hands up and down my arms.
Finn squints above the heads of most of the people in line to get in the club, staring down the bouncer at the door.
“Not really.” My body makes me a liar, sending an involuntary shiver up my length. “Well, maybe a little. I shouldn’t be though.” I shake my head. “I used to wear fewer clothes than this and wait to get into Halloween parties in Ohio. Now I’ve got chattering teeth waiting for ten minutes in Oahu? I’ve gone soft.” I click my tongue in genuine disappointment in myself.
“I like that you’re so soft.” Finn turns around and pulls me into him. My ass is cupped perfectly against the bulge of his pants. Obviously, he’s not hard or anything, but it still turns my little shiver into a rippling tingle that warms
me right up. “It’s one of the many things about you that turns me on,” he murmurs in my ear and a pulse of heat spreads through me.
“I don’t know what you were doing in Ohio, but with us, you’ve got no reason to be chilly.” Cohen joins us, sliding his arms around my waist until I’m sandwiched between them.
I roll my head up, looking at Finn and then over to Cohen. Standing between them has me aching for so much more than we can do right now. I’m starting to second guess this whole night out on the town idea. We could have had much more fun dancing at the hotel. Naked. In bed.
“Hey! You three.” The bouncer pushes his way down the line toward us like a charging bull. He’s got his finger pointed right at us, so I don’t need to wonder who he’s talking to.
“What’s up?” Finn throws his shoulders back and squares off, like he’s getting ready to step into a boxing ring.
“Head of the line.” The burly guy with shoulders so wide he looks like he could be wearing football padding underneath his jacket jerks a thumb that even looks like it’s on steroids over his shoulder toward the club doors. “You’re in.”
“Really?” I smile, I can’t wait to get inside and get a few drinks. Maybe feel both of my guys grind on me on the dark dance floor. “Thanks.”
The bouncer doesn’t respond to me; he keeps working his way down the line, hand selecting who can get in.
My short, pleated skirt swings around my upper thighs in time with my ponytail as we stroll into the bar. It’s like I’m channeling Cleopatra or something. I’m feeling all kinds of sexy and powerful with two big, athletic, hot-as-fuck guys on each side of me. Both of them putting their hands on me protectively, like they’re fine with each other touching me but anyone else who tries might be risking an ambulance ride to the hospital.
“What do you want to drink?” Cohen yells over the booming music.
“Anything, surprise me.” I cup my hand around my mouth and try to compete with the thudding, vibrant bass.
We make our way to the bar and Cohen leans in when the bartender comes over, putting in our mystery order. It takes about a minute, but the tall shot glasses are placed in front of us. Teal blue floats on top of a yellow and red looking sunset in each of our glasses. “Rainbow shooters.” Cohen holds his up. Finn and I each grab one and we lift our shot glasses in a silent toast before slugging them back.
I’ve never had one before, so I was expecting it to be super strong tasting, but it tastes like a coconut and pineapple. Basically, it’s delicious and as I lick my lips and turn toward the dance floor, I can feel it’s got a bit of a punch to it too.
“Let’s dance.” I tug on Finn and Cohen’s hands, giving them my best puppy dog eyes.
They shrug and we get swallowed by the crowd on the dimly lit floor. There are people surrounding us on every side, but all I can see and feel and breathe is them. I slide my hand up Finn’s chest and over his shoulder. His gray eyes glint under the shimmer of a thousand glowing bubbles of light hanging from the ceiling.
Cohen holds my hips from behind, dancing up against me in a way that makes me wish he’d flip up my little skirt and fuck me right here and now. The dirty thought makes me arch my back and grind my ass back against him as I open my stance and Finn plants his leg between mine, so I’m also practically riding up against his thigh.
I know I’m making a scene for anyone who wants to stop and stare. I’m not hiding how hot this is making me. I don’t care if people can see how bad I want them, or how good they make me feel. I cling to Cohen and Finn like a life raft as they toss me around in a sea of people. They’re both pressed into my body but I’m greedy for more. I quiver between them, every nerve raw with desire.
“Joss? Oh my God, it is you?” The familiar voice rips me from my trance of seduction. Suddenly, it’s like the music got louder and people appeared around us again, not the heat of their presence, but their actual bodies and faces reappear from the fog I was lost in.
“Benji!” I yelp, accepting his slightly drunk, enthusiastic hug. “What are you doing here?” I look around for a hot Grindr hookup or maybe a guy he met on the beach.
“He’s here with me.” Marco slips his arm over Benji’s shoulders and my friend smiles brightly. He looks so damned happy it makes me all soft inside.
“Hey man.” Cohen nods at his yoga assistant. “So you guys hit it off then?”
“You could say that.” Marco looks down at Benji and they seem to have a little moment where they forget we’re here. “Thanks for introducing us,” he finally answers. “I owe you one.”
Benji is so lost in Marco he doesn’t even give me a second glance when I give his arm a squeeze and tell him to have a fun date. They stay locked in some kind of world of two. “Don’t wait up for me.” He finally realizes I’m still alive.
“No, don’t expect him back tonight at all.” Marco gives me a smirk.
We go back to dancing and drinking. More rainbow shooters. More thudding, hypnotic beats. More grinding, pulsing, urgent need building up in me until it spills out and I can’t stand another second. I need to get out of here. I need to let these guys rip my fucking clothes off and fill me with their cocks until I can’t see straight. My hotel room is the closest place. We have to go.
Now.

There’s no one in the elevator but us. It silently lifts us from the lobby. My hands are all over her, sliding down over her curves like a dewdrop licking the edge of a petal. Joss is too much temptation. I wouldn’t resist her even if I could.
I don’t give a fuck if there’s some kind of security camera or whatever; I need to feel her skin on my skin. Leaning back against the wall, I tug her into me and slowly slip my fingers up her thigh. They sneak under her dress and quickly travel over the lace fringe on her underwear. Kissing her swollen lips, I push them over and press my finger against her clit.
Joss moans as I rub little circles that make her eyes roll back and her knees go weak. Finn moves up behind her, his hands cup her tits and he pulls her earlobe into his mouth as she makes these little noises that make me wonder if she’s going to cum already.
“You like that, huh? You like feeling his cock against your ass while I play with you?” I narrow my eyes and my nostrils flare.
“Y-Yes,” she stammers, rocking her hips. Joss clenches my shoulders, her fingernails digging into my skin even through my shirt. “Oh fuck, I’m so fucking close,” she whimpers.
Ding!
The doors open and we step out into the hall figuring it’s our floor. It is not. The first clue is the elderly woman who stares at us, her mouth wide open. She pushes her spectacles up her nose, and I call them that because she doesn’t look a day under ninety-three and spectacles just seem to suit her more than glasses.
Joss pulls away from us and we all look like stunned apes as we stare around the floor and realize we got out too soon. We weren’t expecting this little, white-haired lady who looks like she could have starred in a Golden Girls reboot to summon the elevator to her floor before we got up one more level to ours.
Finn combs his fingers through his long hair and looks down at the ground. Joss fumbles for some kind of explanation, “Oh, we, uh … I’m so sorry.” Her face burns bright.
As the doors slowly glide shut, the old lady’s face transforms into a sparkly-eyed grin. “Nothing to apologize for. I’d do the same if I was your age.” Her thin lips bust out into a huge smile and her face becomes a roadmap of lines, each marking the trail of adventures we could only dream of having.
The doors close and we burst out laughing, more because of how awkward and unexpected the interruption was. “Should we wait for the next one?” I nod at our reflections on the silver doors.
“No, it’s only one floor. Let’s take the stairs.” Joss opens the door leading out to them.
Finn walks up a couple steps and Joss starts to follow but I circle my hand around her wrist and pull her to a stop. “Wait a minute,” I demand.
/>
“What?” Her eyes grow wide with surprise.
“I had you pretty close, didn’t I?” I search her face. “Before we were, uh, interrupted, you were gonna cum, weren’t you?”
Pink flashes over her face again and she bites her lip, nodding.
“Well, then you’re not going fucking anywhere, not until I finish the job.” I twist her hips, turning her away from me on the bottom step. “Bend over and open your legs.” I flip up her dress over her ass and Joss does what she’s told, although she seems a little self-conscious at first.
“What if someone comes in here?” Joss looks back at the door and then to me.
“You let me worry about that.” I shrug. I’m not a big believer in lightning striking twice.
What are the odds another sweet-looking senior with a naughty side is going to open the door?
“I’m going to give you other things to think about.” I kneel behind her and wrap my fingers around her underwear, they’re so wet, it makes me rock-hard feeling her juices coat my hand. “If I could almost make you cum with my finger, imagine how you’re gonna feel when I do this.” I lick from her center and push my tongue forward.
Joss gasps, her shaky legs open a bit wider, giving me more access to her clit. “I want to suck you off.” Her voice is raspy and she tugs Finn’s pants open. I stop for a second, long enough to watch my friend ease his cock into her mouth, long enough to hear her moan on it, long enough to make my dick rock-fucking-hard.
“Mmm, fuck, you’re our naughty girl,” Finn growls. “That’s right, fucking ride his tongue while you take every inch of this.”
I spread her open and eat her pussy from behind, Joss is bent over, sucking off Finn as I thrash her clit with my tongue. Her juices slather over my tongue like the sweetest wine and I could get drunk on her every single day and go to bed thirsty for more. One finger thrusts into her core, she squeezes down on me as her pussy quakes.
