Jojo's French Escape Page 25

Girls – stop the slut shaming, it isn’t nice, and it isn’t clever. It’s especially self defeating when you’re slut shaming yourself. Take it from one who knows.

We all have the choice, to decide who we want to be. Not everyone has been publicly shamed and labelled in the way I have, I know, but I’m writing this post because lots of people are still wearing the labels given to them by someone else – parents, teachers, school bullies, ex boyfriends or girlfriends …

This post is for you, if you’ve ever been told you’re not enough and believed it. It’s not true. You are enough. You matter and you’re amazing!

If this post helps any of you out there then it will mean something good came out of all the bad things that happened to me.

Only you get to choose who you are. Write your own label. If you don’t like the one you’re wearing then rewrite it and change the narrative. This is your story, you get to choose.

  #ReWriteTheLabel #ReWritingTheLabel #ChangeTheNarrative #YouAreEnough

  Pass it on.

If you were wondering, the ‘good friend’ who inspired me was Callum O’Connor and we’re in love, it’s officially official! You can pass that on too if you like!

On a lighter note – for those of you following the exploits of my puppy Flump aka The Artful Dodger, his latest ‘acquired items’ tally since I last posted here includes:

  Three silver photo frames

  My favourite ballet pumps

A large living room rug (rolled up and dragged!)

  Two toothbrushes

  A dressing gown

  A birthday card

  A cushion

  An antique lace pillowcase

  An owl doorstop

  A flowerpot

  A book about the Languedoc

My iPhone (yes, really! His teeth got a grip on the case and he took it under my bed where I couldn’t reach him)

  A pink vibrator

  And a wedding veil

P.S. For any of you who were wondering the wedding veil was dry-cleaned and returned to its original owner, none the worse for its Flump adventures. Thankfully he’s out of his chewing phase, even if his thieving phase is still going strong!
