Snowed in with my Boss Page 8

by Mia Madison

“Such a perv,” she chided, stepping into her underwear and pulling them up. “This is going to make a huge mess.”

  “I know. I like it.”

She pulled her skirt down as she rolled her eyes, coming over to stare down at me as she demanded, “Tell me what you want for your birthday. There’s still enough time for me to stop at a store.”

“That won’t be necessary,” I said, turning my chair to open my desk drawer and rummaging through it. “All I want for my birthday is you, princess.”

From the corner of my eye I saw her frown with confusion before shrugging her shoulders in a helpless move.

  “You have me already.”

“I’m not finished,” I said, grinning when I finally dug out the hidden box. I slammed the drawer closed, spinning my chair until I was facing her and dropping down to one knee.

“I want you… to be my wife.”

Her jaw dropped in shock as I flipped open the box and revealed the engagement ring I had made for her a month ago. My proposal was clearly the last thing she expected to happen on my birthday, which was entirely why I planned it that way.

“You… You bought me an engagement ring for your birthday?” she asked incredulously.

“Yes. Do you have any idea how great of a gift it is to me just to be with you? I don’t need presents—I can buy myself anything I want.”

Kayla fought for words, stumbling a few times before snapping her mouth shut and wiping furiously at her lips.

“I’m such a mess,” she said angrily, the words muffled by her hands. “Couldn’t you have waited until I cleaned up a little?”

“I love you as you are.”

At some point since meeting Kayla, I’d become a sap. I didn’t show it in front of anyone but her, but it still felt odd to say such things while knowing just how much I meant them.

“So what do you say? Will you marry me?”

Her lips were wobbling and there were tears in her eyes. Was that a bad sign? Her lack of response was starting to make me nervous.

Just as I started to panic, Kayla wiped her eyes and shakily said, “Yes. Yes, I’ll marry you.”

I didn’t have time to react before she threw herself into my arms, sending us both tumbling to the floor. She kissed me as I gripped the back of her head. I wasn’t sure if she was trying to hide her alleged messiness or if she was just so moved by the proposal that she wanted another round, but it really didn’t matter.

“I love you,” I whispered as she hastily yanked at my pants.

Once I was free, I rolled us over and pushed her skirt up, moving the fabric of her panties to the side and pushing in with ease.

“I love you, Adam,” she breathed against my lips as I started to move. “I love you so much.”

And that was the end of any semi-professional relationship we had at work. Fucking in the office spoiled both of us. Not that I minded obliging my princess when she wanted to do a little roleplaying.

That was a doting husband’s job, after all.
