Spinning Out Of Control Page 16

by Vickie McDonough

She thought back to Jonah’s word about how he knew God had plans for her the first time he saw her. She now believed that God had been directing her all along to come to the Walsh farm—only she never could have dreamed of the blessings God had in store for her.

  “What are you smiling at?”

Amy jumped and turned toward Micah’s voice. “What are you doing here? I thought you were working in the cornfield.”

An ornery grin that resembled Ben’s tilted his lips. “I was, but I missed my wife and needed a kiss to make it through the rest of the day.”

Amy accepted Micah’s outstretched hand and stood, then smacked him on his arm. “You goose.”

“No goose, just a desperate man.” He pulled her close, and his loving gaze roamed her face, sending shivers of excitement racing up her arms.

As Micah’s face moved closer, Amy marveled at how she’d come to love her husband so much, so quickly. Once her life was spinning out of control, but God had taken the flailing strands and woven them into Micah’s family, making a quilt of love, faith, and happiness.
