Sharing the Female from Earth [Lost in Space 1] (Siren Publishing Ménage Everlasting) Page 13

“You scared the hell out of us,” Kane said.

“Little one. Never again. You screamed loud enough I thought my ears would bleed, then you passed out and I swear you quit breathing,” Veran said. “I was about to go get Sabin to check you.”

That snapped her back to reality fast. “Don’t you ever do that, Veran. No one has ever died from amazing sex before. I don’t want some strange male looking at me when I’m all giddy after mind-blowing sex.”

Kane took one of her hands into his and brushed butterfly kisses across her knuckles. The intimacy of it had Della smiling softly at him.

“You are an amazing woman, Della. I think I fell in love with you a little bit every day back on the ship. I used to watch you when you walked around and wish you were mine. I promise to care for you and provide for you for as long as I live.” Kane opened her hand and kissed her palm.

“Oh, Kane. I love you, too. You’ve been by my side since the beginning of this little adventure we’ve had. I never once doubted that I could trust you, and the fact that you didn’t allow fear or prejudice to interfere with the Levassians’ attempts to help us only endeared you more to me. I truly do love you, Kane.” She pulled him closer and kissed him lightly on the lips.

She turned to Veran and held her hand out to him. She smiled at him, loving the way his face lit up when she did. To have so profound an effect on someone was heady stuff, but she knew it was more about her being female than just being his mate. Still, he cared about her as his, and she wanted him to know she did more than care for him.

“I can’t believe that I could fall for any man so soon, but most of all, I can’t believe I would be able to love someone not human like me.” She was sorry she said that the moment it left her lips. She didn’t want him to think she wasn’t able to love him because of their differences, though they really were few.

“But I was wrong. Because I really do love you, Veran. You are a wonderful male who welcomed us to your planet, into your home, and into your life. I will always adore you for that.”

Veran let out a breath and smiled again. His entire body relaxed and Della realized he’d begun to tense up when she and Kane had exchanged their “I love yous.” He had felt left out and then her earlier words had stung. She regretted speaking without thinking it through.

“I love you as well, my sweet human. I had all but given up ever finding a female, then you dropped from the sky and smiled at me. It was the best day of my life. Not only did you smile and light up my world, but you trusted me and brought Kane into my life. He is like a brother to me when I had no one but Gressen and his brother for close friends. Thank you, little one.”

Della squeezed his hand before lying back down to gaze up at her two perfect husbands, or mates, or whatever they were called.

“Amazing sex, huh?” Kane asked out of the blue with a huge grin.

She smiled at him. “Out-of-this-world sex.”

Veran relaxed and sighed. “Well I hope you enjoyed it. We’re never attempting that again.”

Della and Kane both laughed and said together, “Don’t count on it.”

Veran rolled over on his back and groaned. “Human females are nothing but trouble.”

Kane laughed. “I agree, but life without them would be…”

Veran rolled back over and wrapped an arm around her waist, finishing Kane’s statement for him.

  “A life without hope.”
