“Sister. You came to visit me again. What an unexpected surprise. I thought I’d seen the last of you.”

He didn’t even sound like himself. Georgina looked toward the door. The pure panic racing through her body was screaming at her to leave now. “I just came to say good-bye. I’m leaving town.”

“Oh really. Where are you going?” He stood and came toward the bars. Georgina instinctively stepped back.

“I’m not telling you. I just wanted you to know that I’m leaving and I won’t be back to visit you again for a while.”

Michael looked toward the food cart as it approached. “You know, sister, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking.” He got quiet and closed his eyes. Georgina move out of the way as the boy stepped around her and slid the tray into the slim opening.

“And?” Georgina raised an eyebrow at him. “What have you been thinking?”

His eyes opened and the smile came back to his face. “That I’m going to miss your visits.” He turned to the boy. “There’s an emergency compartment on the underside of that cart. Do me a favor. Use the skeleton key to unlock my door, would you?”

Georgina’s gaze shot to the boy and noticed his eyes were completely darkened over. She dove to beat him to the key, but even for a boy in his early twenties, he was strong as hell. Georgina went flying into the bottom of her brother’s bars. Adrenaline had her springing back to her feet. As his hand reached out to the lock on Michael’s door she jerked and clawed at his arm with everything she had. The boy didn’t even notice. His brain was only focused on one thing, and that was opening the door.

Pain raced through her head as Michael’s fingers gripped into her hair and jerked the back of her head against the bars. “Ah, there you are.” His other hand made it through the bars to grip around her throat. Georgina dug her nails in hard. The air began to leave her as he tightened his hold. Spots covered her vision and air was impossible to take in. Just when she thought unconsciousness was going to take over, the door opened and she fell to the floor coughing and gasping for air.

Alarms began going off throughout the building and Georgina jumped to her feet, racing for the main entrance to the hallway. She didn’t make it a few steps before she was tackled by her brother’s weight. The room spun as he pulled her to her back. She immediately brought her palm up to connect with his nose. It didn’t even seem to faze him as his blood dripped down on her. Pressure from Michael’s hands gripped into her arms and she jerked them away, feeling the muscles under her skin scream out in agony. He was too strong. There was no way she could overpower him with her arms, alone.

Georgina bucked her hips and felt her brother sway on top of her. She fought with everything she had inside of her to turn them to their sides. Using the bottom of her boot, she extended her leg pushing him further away. The door flew open and she looked up to see Austin burst through. His eyes were so dark she knew he was running from pure instinct. Michael’s head jerked up and he sprung from the floor, exploding into his wolf.

Austin dove in their direction and his beast took over. The impact at the two dark-colored wolves colliding felt like a shockwave as they flew past her. Georgina screamed as she was suddenly jerked from the ground. Damien pulled her close and she only glanced up at him for a split second before her eyes went back to the two wolves rolling across the floor. The boy who’d unlocked the door suddenly changed and Georgina felt her own beast surge through her. There was no way she was going to let both of them gang up on Austin. The moment that wolf joined in the fighting, she was going.

Teeth snapped toward each other and she watched as Austin and her brother separated. He guarded the area right in front of them. Every time Michael’s attention would be drawn to one side, Austin would block the path. Damien pulled her back even further as the deep growl poured from her mate’s throat. The smaller wolf came to stand beside her brother. She looked up at Damien. “Let me go.” Georgina’s vision was already darkening as she took in Damien’s face.

  “Not on your life.”

“This is my fight,” she snapped. “I will not let Austin protect me alone.”

Damien’s fingers gripped into her arms hard, and he shook her wolf away. “You doubt the power of your mate. Austin is almost just as strong as I am. He may play the submissive in the bedroom, but he is far from weak, Georgina. You will stand down and let him take care of this. And you’re paying for your defiance the moment we get home. Never order me again.”

A yell came from her mouth as she spun back around to see her brother push the boundary line. Logan came up beside them and he shook his head. “God dammit.” He took two steps and let a sound between a howl and a growl pour through the room. Georgina’s wolf sprung around her insides, panicked, like a Ping-Pong ball. The fear at her alpha’s anger had her creature absolutely petrified and skittish.

Michael lowered his head, baring his sharp teeth. The hair covering his body was standing on end as he returned the threat to Logan. The smaller wolf beside him changed back into human form and looked around lost. At what was going on in from of him, his eyes got big and he pushed himself into the corner as much as he could. Georgina’s heart was causing her whole body to shake. She should have never come without clearing it with Damien or Austin first. This was all because of her.

Austin’s wolf took a step back, signaling to their alpha that he was with him, but wasn’t letting his guard down.

Logan looked back at her. “I’m sorry, Georgina, but I can’t let this go. You’re brother’s defiance and actions leave me no choice.” Before Logan could turn around Michael tried to lunge past Austin. Teeth flashed from her mate’s mouth as his bite sunk into her brother’s shoulder and he threw him further back. Chaos erupted again and her brother and Austin started going at it in earnest. She felt a rippling wave through her stomach and she knew it was because of Logan. It was a takeout order, plain and simple. This time, it wasn’t for her, it was for her brother.

A cry came from her mouth and she turned her face into Damien’s chest. She couldn’t watch her mate kill her brother. She couldn’t. And it wasn’t necessarily his fault. Whether he wanted to or not, he’d been ordered. The way it was now programmed inside of him was no different than what her brother had done to the kid with the trays. It was all instinct.

A loud cry echoed off the walls and Damien’s hands covered her ear and pushed the other one deeper into his chest. She knew it was done. Michael was dead. Even in wolf form she could distinguish the sound of his voice.

Georgina felt a piece of herself die in that moment. Michael was the last of her physical family she’d had left. A part of her couldn’t be upset though. To her, her brother had died when her mother did. He’d never been the same after that. The man who’d attacked her at the apartments, or here today wasn’t Michael. She let that settle over her as she clutched to the new family she had acquired by fate. After a few seconds she felt hands on her lower back. She turned to see Austin’s nude body kneeling before her. He had his head down and his hair looked wet. A sob came from her mouth and she collapsed into his arms, pulling him into her body.

“I’m so sorry, Georgie. I had to do it. Not just because I was ordered, but he would have found a way to kill you eventually. I couldn’t let that happen. He was all over you when I came in. All I could think was that if I wouldn’t have had the urge to find you, it might have been too late.”

“Shh. Not another word, Austin. His death is on my hands. I did this. Not you.”

“He did it to himself,” Logan said, quietly. “No one here is to blame but him.” He turned to Damien. “Take them home. We’ll go over the plans some other time. I need to call Chief. Don’t worry about anything, Georgina. I’ll make the arrangements.” He pulled her into his arms. “I really am sorry.”

The energy of her alpha was full of sorrow. Georgina knew it couldn’t have been easy being the leader of a pack. Now she was about to find out firsthand from Damien. That was, if he even got The Big C. Ugh, everything w
as becoming too much. She needed a release. Something to take her mind off of her problems. Georgina stepped back from her leader and turned to her men. Pete was handing Austin a pair of the dark-blue prison pants all the inmates wore.

“Let’s go home.” She sighed. Austin pulled on the pants and wrapped his arm around her. Damien did the same and they headed out of the building. As they got into the car and left Dark Days she turned to Damien. “May I ask something from you?”

His eyes were full of worry as he looked at her. “Anything, doll.”

  “Flog me. Hard.”

Damien pressed his lips together. “If that’s what you want. But you will use colors.”

“I want my safe word now. I don’t like the colors.”

“Fine. You call ‘crack the whip’ when you’ve had enough.”

“Crack the whip? That’s a safe word?”

Damien’s eyebrows rose at her. “It is if I say it is. You either agree to call it, or I don’t flog you at all. We could go back to colors if you want to start getting nitpicky.”

“Fine. Crack the whip, it is.” She turned to Austin. “How are you?” He was very quietly sitting there as if in a daze.

Slowly he turned to Damien. “I want to be flogged, too. I’ll use the same safe word.”

A deep breath came from Damien and he nodded. She knew more than anyone that he completely understood why they needed this. Needed the pain. To Georgina it was like a release of her emotions. She craved the pain that would come. Was almost desperate to feel the leather sting against her skin. Soon she’d have her release, and Georgina couldn’t wait. The tears would come then, and she’d welcome them with open arms.

  Chapter 13

The fire against Austin’s back, ass, and legs left him feeling content. All he wanted to do was collapse to the floor and lie there in bliss. He’d called the safe word and Damien had just unbuckled the cuffs at his feet. As the first hand was released, Austin felt the weight of his body for the first time. The freedom from the cross had him sagging against Damien.

His mate’s hands were tender as he helped him to the bed. Austin grabbed his hand as he lifted to stand. “Thank you.”

Lips pressed against his skin and Austin lay on his stomach and stared at Georgina. She was completely nude except for the red panties she wore. Although Austin was perfectly content with getting flogged to the capacity that he’d just gotten, he wasn’t so sure he liked the idea of Georgina going through the same thing. But he knew why she needed it. No one understood more than him and Damien. At least, no one he personally knew.

The restraints were buckled and the first slap of the leather had her sucking in air. Austin spun on the bed to where his head was more toward the bottom. Strands from the flogger flared as Damien brought it back and connected once again. Georgina’s hands balled into fists and Austin forced himself off the bed. Every step was like a beautiful torture and he didn’t stop until he was a good five feet from Damien.

  “Colors.”

  “Green,” she sobbed. “Harder.”

Damien’s hand covered his mouth and he wiped hard. His eyes flashed to Austin and he knew Damien wasn’t enjoying this one bit. Yeah, he’d brought them to pain plenty of times, but there was no pleasure in this. There was no balance, here.

“Damien. More.” Blonde hair swayed as she tried to look back. Damien brought the flogger across her ass and stepped forward at the cry. “Enough of this.” He pulled the pocket knife out of his pocket and placed it against the inside material of the panties. Georgina’s body jerked at the force at which he cut. The panties fell to the floor as he cut the other side. Damien slid the knife back into his pocket. The red welts on her back and ass stood out brightly against her pale skin

“If you want pain, we’re doing it right.” His fingers slid between her thighs and moved around in a circular motion. “And remember who you are. I make the orders. Not you.” Damien walked to the wall and took down the paddle. The slap echoed off the walls, and Georgina moaned as his hand went back to her pussy. “Say it, doll. Tell me who give the orders.”

  “You do, Damien.”

“That’s right. Remember that.” The paddle connected on the other side and she cried out. “Yellow.”

“Good girl. You’re finally using those colors. It’s about damn time. You’re so stubborn sometimes.” Damien dropped the paddle and crouched. His hands gripped her hips and separated her pussy. Slowly, his tongue traced from her clit to the opening of her ass. “There we go. Already getting so wet.” The tip of his tongue thrust into her pussy and Austin watched as Damien sucked her folds into his mouth.

Austin stepped back toward the bed to lie down. Now that Georgina was getting taken care of right, he could relax. The high was still heavily over him and all he wanted was to close his eyes and float against the feeling. Unfortunately, the moment he lay down he got sucked into watching Damien finger Georgina’s ass.

“Better.” He slid in another and her hips shifted, making her ass stick out even more. “You’re taking it a lot easier now. Soon, Austin and I are both going to be able to fuck you at the same time.” Damien sunk his teeth into her red skin. A cry came from her mouth as he watched her body jerk from the orgasm she was going through. Austin smiled and closed his eyes. Oh yeah, Damien was going to fuck her so good once she got off that cross.

Arms wrapped around Georgina the moment the restraints were unbuckled. She let herself fall into her master’s arms with all the love she felt for him. The way his tender embrace just held her close into his frame spoke volumes. Georgina turned her head against his shoulder and closed her swollen eyes. Damien’s withdrawal from her request had hurt at first, but the moment he started touching her and increased the pain, pleasurably, the release she needed was met immediately.

Tears had come, the sadness in her was still there, but nowhere as overwhelming as it was before he’d began flogging her. She went to turn in his arms, but he held her stern.

“You’re going to have bruises.” Only then did he turn her. Georgina looked up into his eyes and saw something pass over his face. She couldn’t exactly tell if it was sadness or regret.

“I will wear them proudly. You helped me more than you will ever know.”

Silence filled the room and Georgina closed her lids while the fingers from both of his hands laced through her hair on the sides of her head. Light pressure pressed against her lips and Georgina opened her eyes in surprise. Damien pulled back and rested his forehead against hers. His gaze met hers, and she could feel his breathing deepen as he kissed her again.

“Fuck, Georgina.” His hands dropped from her and he stepped back. She searched his expressions trying to figure out what was wrong.

  “Damien?”

His head shook as he paced and looked her body up and down. “Come here.” Georgina stepped forward, and he put up his hand. “No. Wait.” He walked to the side, staring at her ass. “Son of bitch.”

“What is it?” She turned and looked down at her ass. It was red. There was a little bruising, but nothing extremely bad. Not anything worth causing this sort of reaction. “Damien, talk to me.”

He sunk into the large, black velvet chair and put his head in his hands. “You don’t understand. I have rules. Boundaries within myself that I don’t pass.” He jumped to his feet and pulled her to the wall-length mirror, and spun her around. “This”—he gestured—“I don’t do. Redness, welts, I can take seeing those on you. Bruising, on you of all people. Never.” He looked down and she could see the hurt in his eyes. “If you care about me, never ask me to do that to you again. There are other ways I can get you to the point you need to be without it coming down to this.”

Georgina wasn’t sure what to say. All she knew was that she couldn’t stand seeing him so upset. “I’m sorry. I just needed…”

“I know what you needed. That’s the only reason I agreed to do it. But just know there are other ways. Next time, we explore those.” He look
ed toward the bed and Georgina saw that Austin was asleep. She smiled and walked over to him. The redness on him was almost completely gone. There wasn’t a bruise covering his body. She swallowed hard, and faced Damien.

  “Where would you like me?”

  “Upstairs in bed.”

Georgina lowered and kissed Austin’s brow. He didn’t so much as move. A small laugh came from her mouth and she headed for the stairs. The tingling that raced across her ass with every step had her inner thighs wet by the time she reached their bed. God, she felt positively amazing. She really wished Damien wouldn’t be upset, but she knew he had limits, and he’d overstepped them this time.

The closet door opened and Damien walked in and pulled out an outfit she’d never seen before. It was a sapphire-blue corset and a pair of black stockings. The heels he carried were also new. “Put this on.” She took them from him and followed his instructions. By the time she was finished he was wrapping a four-layered pearl necklace around her throat. “Sit on the edge of the bed.”

  Georgina sunk into the mattress.

“Close your eyes.” Damien began applying makeup to her face. She could feel the eyeliner making a path over her lids. When he finished, he made her look up for the mascara. “You’re a goddess. Absolutely gorgeous.” The deep red lipstick traced over her lips and he stepped back, pulling her up with him.

The grip on her fingers tightened and he pulled her to the vanity. “Sit, and look at your beauty, Georgina. See what I see.” Dark eyes stared at her in the mirror and she looked at both of their reflections. Full breasts were spilling over from the tight blue corset. Her eyes were practically glowing from the similarity of color and eyeliner.

Damien reached up and piled her hair on the top of her head. He began placing the pins into the length to hold it up. As she looked at herself in the mirror, she took in his name for her. Doll. That’s exactly what she felt like as he dressed her up. It was perfect. But she knew the look wouldn’t last. As much as her master liked dressing her up, he also liked everything about the look to be in complete disarray by the time he was finished with her. Georgina knew how this would end. Her makeup would be a mess. Her hair, falling down from the pins. It was what he loved, and she was glad she could give it to him.
