Billionaire's Accident Page 6

He feared that if they left the penthouse, the magic bubble they had been in since the accident would be broken. Too soon, reality and responsibilities would start to interfere and Brent would be forced to start answering his phone.

Brent had briefly checked in with Michelle twice to make sure there were no serious issues at the office and at her assurance he had switched off his phone.

In the past few days he had made love to Tia in so many ways, and every time his heart ached for more. Even when he was still deeply sheathed inside her, he wanted more. Never before had his friends’ lives filled with commitment appealed to him more than they did now.

What would it be like to come to home to Tia every night?

Brent shook his head and headed out to the terrace where he had a hot tub. Tia was making them a chicken salad for lunch and Brent had given Lara the day off. He planned on spending the afternoon in the hot tub with Tia and he didn’t need his housekeeper to be privy to the show.

He had never before found the whole marriage idea very appealing, but somehow when he thought of it in conjunction with Tia it didn’t seem like a lifelong sentence; it seemed like a lifelong affair with the woman of his dreams.

Brent had considered phoning one of his friends for advice, but had decided against it. They would either shove him towards the altar or they would laugh at the idea. Brent wasn’t sure he was ready for either.

Whatever was between him and Tia, it couldn’t be that serious, surely. It was an infatuation that had been embellished over the years. As soon as he had his fill of Tia, he would be able to move on and forget about her and stupid ideas about getting married.

Tia walked onto the terrace holding two plates with chicken salad. She had slipped on his silk navy blue robe after he had given her the bikini he had asked Lara to procure.

As the wind swooped over the rooftop, the satin gown parted slightly and revealed her smooth ivory skin.

Brent’s breath caught at the sight. His dick jumped up in anticipation of the view.

Tia hadn’t bothered with the bikini. Brent struggled to get the words formed, but his mouth was too dry. “The bikini?”

Tia laughed and flicked her hair out her face. “I appreciate the gesture, but what’s the use if you’re just going to take it off anyway.”

Brent laughed. “So you’re just saving me time?”

A sexy grin tugged at the corner of her mouth. “Or trying to drive you crazy. Is it working?”

“Fuck, yeah,” Brent said as he closed the distance between them. He took the plates from her and set them on the glass patio table before he pulled Tia against him. Her lips tasted spicy, like the chicken, and she still smelled of his shower gel.

Brent had briefly considered asking Lara to get Tia some female body wash, but had decided against it. It felt so intimate smelling himself on her.

He tugged her hair, angling her mouth to accept his probing tongue. His tongue slipped in deep, stroking and teased her until she gasped. He slipped his free hand inside the silk robe and ran it over her body. His thumb and index finger pinched her nipple, causing her moan into his mouth.

Brent quickly swallowed the moan before his hand slipped around to cup her perfect ass. Tia’s hands ran over his bare back, her nails scraping their way over his flesh before they started tugging at his pants.

She quickly stepped back with wide eyes and pulled the silk robe tight against her. “Brent, anyone can see us.”

Brent laughed and stepped out of his pants, his cock standing proud for the world to see. “If they want to watch, let them. They don’t know me, and I don’t know them. Besides, we could teach them a thing or two.”

Brent watched the hesitation in her eyes darken to desire. She slowly pulled the robe over her shoulders, allowing it to drop to the floor. Brent gasped at the sight.

He had always preferred woman who regularly waxed, but Tia’s soft curls turned him on so much, he wasn’t sure he would ever like a waxed pussy again.

She sauntered over to him and ran her tongue over his lower lip before tugging it between her teeth. Brent watched as she teased his mouth and couldn’t believe it was the same shy girl from two years ago or two days, even.

Spending their time making love had made Tia bold, bold for him.

She grabbed his hips and slowly lowered to her knees in front of him. “I think it’s time I learned a few things …” Tia whispered against his throbbing cock.

Brent gasped as her breath caressed his dick. “Tia …” He knew it was the first time she was doing this and didn’t want her to do anything she wasn’t comfortable with.

“Brent …” she quipped mockingly before cupping his balls in her hands. Brent grabbed her hair and pulled her away from his dick.

“Tia, honestly, I don’t think I’ll last if you do that …” His voice was already raspy.

Tia laughed and reached for the robe. She tugged the silk belt loose and walked over to the patio table. “Take a seat handsome.”

Brent’s eyes widened. What was Tia up to? He smiled, knowing she felt bold enough to experiment with him. He walked over to a chair and sat down with his legs slightly apart.

Tia moved around him and used the silk belt to tie his hands behind the chair. As she moved around the chair, she giggled. “Let’s see you stop me now.”

This time when she knelt between his legs, Brent didn’t gasp; he moaned. He had never seen a woman looking hotter than Tia controlling him.

She licked the length of his dick with the tip of her pink tongue before cupping his balls again. Her tongue circled his crown, lapping the desire that already dewed on top. “You taste amazing,” Tia said between licks, watching him with heavy eyelids, desire clear in her amber eyes.

Two of her fingers slipped just below his balls to find that soft spot of flesh that was so sensitive. She pressed against that sensitive spot at the same time that she took his length into his mouth.

Brent threw back his head. “Fuck!”

“Not yet, but almost.” Tia laughed before she stood up and smiled at him. Brent expected her to climb on, to do anything to end his suffering. Instead she placed her one foot on his knee, giving him a full view of her soaking wet pussy. Her fingers slipped between her folds, and Brent gasped as he watched her massage her clit. “Would you like to help me?” she drawled through a shallow breath.

Brent didn’t bother to answer; he leaned in and licked her. Tia’s head flew back, her hair being teased by the wind as Brent licked and sucked her until her legs trembled.

Taking control, Tia shoved him back against the chair before straddling him. She sank down on him slowly, slow enough for Brent to savor every inch that was enveloped by her wet heat.

He had no idea where her boldness had come from, but Tia was fucking hot when she touched herself; she was even hotter when she tied him up before she did it.

As soon as he was sheathed deep inside her, Tia grabbed his shoulders and started rocking on his lap. The sensation was so much different than the usual in and out. The back and forth motion of her hips sent mind-blowing sensations travelling through his cock.

Brent watched as her eyes started to grow heavy. He felt her body start to quiver and knew there was no way he was ever going to allow another man to touch his Tia. Needing to touch her, he struggled against the silk belt keeping his hands in place until he finally tugged them free. He grabbed her ass just as she threw back her head and cried out.

Brent pumped himself empty inside her. His legs quivered beneath her; his cock throbbed inside her.

Sex had never been this good before, but Brent had a feeling it was because it was no longer just sex between him and Tia.

This was something much better, much scarier; something Brent had avoided his whole life.

  12

It was Wednesday afternoon, almost a week since Brent had run Tia over with his car, and Tia still had no plans of going home. The week she had spent in a magic little love bubble with Brent had not only
made her feel rested and ready to face the world again, it had given Tia confidence.

Confidence to do in and out of the bedroom just what she wanted because she knew Brent would still want her afterwards. Knowing a man wanted her that much gave her a strange sort of sense of control.

A sense of control Tia had never had before. A sense that her own life was in her own hands and that up until that evening in the rain she had been dancing to someone else’s strings. She would go back to work when she was ready; she would call her mother when she felt like it; and she would reconsider her decision to go back home.

The thought of leaving the city and leaving Brent no longer appealed to Tia. Maybe if she found a better job, a nicer apartment, and maybe even a few friends, the city would be tolerable. Especially if she could spend her nights with Brent.

His housekeeper Lara had become the closest thing to a friend that Tia had had since moving to the city. Lara, a few years older than Tia, had blonde hair and a cheerful disposition. Tia had briefly wondered if she had been one of Brent’s lovers when Lara had quickly laughed and assured Tia that she had been married for years to a very handsome car dealer in New Jersey. Taking care of Brent and his house was her day job.

One that paid well and that had never involved any sleepover guests before Tia. Feeling instantly assured that Brent had told her the truth, Tia had continued to spill her life’s story to Lara. Lara had had an empathetic ear and acted the true romantic when Tia had told her of her and Brent’s one-night stand two years ago.

“Hi, Lara,” Tia said as she walked into the kitchen late Wednesday morning. Brent had asked her for a few hours to check in on things at the office. He hadn’t left the penthouse but was holed up in his home office. Tia had briefly overheard a terse conversation and had gone in search of Lara instead.

“Tia, how are you this morning?” Lara asked as cleared the breakfast dishes.

“I’m fine, thanks. How was your drive this morning?” Lara had told Tia a few days before that the traffic from Jersey to town was a headache every morning. Tia hadn’t wanted to interfere but had accidentally mentioned it to Brent, who had insisted Lara come in an hour later in the mornings and leave an hour later to miss the worst traffic.

“It was a dream; honestly, I never thought an hour could make such a big difference.” Lara smiled and put on a pot of tea.

Tia appreciated that Lara had quickly learned that Tia preferred tea in the mornings. “Great. I was wondering if you were still going shopping this morning. Could I maybe ask you to bring a couple of things with?”

“Of course,” Lara smiled. “I guess you’re tired of wearing jeans and T-shirts and not being able to go get your own things. I think the whole keeping you hostage thing is supremely romantic, but I think you start to miss your own things.”

“If you saw how I’ve been living, I doubt that,” Tia said before she could stop herself. “What I meant was, this is a lovely apartment and between you and Brent I’ve been given everything I need. Actually, I want to surprise Brent with homemade pizzas for lunch. Could I make a list of the ingredients I’ll need? I’m sure most of it is already here, but I wouldn’t know where to look.” Tia shrugged.

Lara laughed. “Of course. One condition.”

“Anything, oh mighty Lara,” Tia joked.

  “Make me one as well.”

Tia laughed. “Of course. I always end up making plenty. You can take some home for dinner as well.”

“That would be great, and then I wouldn’t have to cook. You can just leave the list on the fridge. As soon as I’m done with the bedroom I’ll head out.”

“Thanks, Lara,” Tia said, grabbing a piece of paper and a pen from the first drawer where she had seen Lara kept it.

After writing up the list and sticking it to the fridge, Tia went in search of Brent. She silently tiptoed into the home office as Brent was on the phone. Not wanting to interrupt, she strolled towards the one wall that was lined with books. Curious, she poked through his varied collection until she found a title that caught her interest.

It was from an author she loved, and she was surprised several of her titles were in Brent’s library. Every day she discovered something new they had in common from their love for foods, their interests in music, even to their favorite authors.

Tia wouldn’t go as far as to expect that once she left his penthouse she would ever be back, but while she was there it was nice to allow herself to dream a little. To dream of spending a life with a man who drove her crazy in bed and made her be the best version of herself outside of it.

Tia had never felt more comfortable in her own skin, more wanted, or more secure. But sometime it would all end.

She quickly brushed the thought aside and noticed that Brent had ended his phone call. “So, I’m making lunch again today.”

Brent smiled. “If it’s anything like the chicken salad we never had or the hot tub we never used, I can’t wait.”

Tia laughed and blushed at the memory of their terrace escapades. “Actually, I had something more wholesome in mind.”

Brent’s phone rang again and he sighed. “I’m sorry. It seems the world is falling apart without me at the office. Just give me another hour and I’m all yours.”

Tia nodded and clutched the book to her chest, knowing he wasn’t dismissing her. She had known from the first day she had met Brent that he had an important job, but Tia still had no idea what he was that he did.

From the way he talked, Tia had deduced that he was the boss. Not one of the bosses. The boss of all the bosses. That shouldn’t turn her on, but it did.

She sauntered to the terrace and found a comfortable spot in the shade on one of the loungers. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and forced herself to listen to all the messages she had ignored since she had come to stay with Brent.

There were quite a few from her mother, ranging from concerned to hysterical.

Tia sighed and briefly typed a message back.

I’m fine, just busy. Talk soon

  Xxx

  Tia

Tia opened the book and quickly fell deep into a story of long-lost love, the danger that threatened it, and a stranger who watched in the darkness.

By the time Lara poked her head outside and told her she was back with the ingredients, Tia was almost halfway through the book.

She stretched and made her way to the kitchen where Lara had lined up all the ingredients.

“I’m sure that was everything on the list. I’ll be dusting in the living room, so holler if you need anything else.”

Tia smiled broadly at the fresh ingredients. She had itched to make pizzas for months, but she couldn’t justify the cost, especially because it would only be for herself. She knew most of the ingredients would be organic and top quality and would make the pizza so much better than any pizzas she had made before.

Tia rolled up her sleeves and switched on the surround sound to play soft jazz as she started chopping and dicing the ingredients. Once all the ingredients were prepared, Tia started on the dough. She kneaded the dough until it was soft and fluffy. Looking at the amount, she laughed.

“What’s so funny?” Brent asked, sliding his hands around her waist.

“I didn’t even hear you come in. Are you finished?” Tia asked hopefully.

“No, sorry. Just came to grab some water. I’ll be done soon,” he promised with a chaste kiss on her cheek before he grabbed the water and headed back to his office.

“Bread, then,” Tia said to herself as she tugged off a piece of dough and started molding it into bread.

“Bread?” Lara asked, stepping into the kitchen.

“Yes,” Tia smiled as she sprinkled garlic and herb onto the dough. “I’ve made way too much dough, so I’m going to make some bread as well.

“You’re quite handy, aren’t you? Not many of the girls in the city are …” Lara’s voice trailed off as she stepped into the scullery.

Tia smiled at the compliment until
the doubt seeped through the cracks. How long would Brent be happy with plain old Tia from a small town? Even if she could cook and make fantastic homemade pizzas, she would never carry the air of sophistication and the gloss of wealth she was sure Brent’s previous girls had had.

A frown creased between her brows and Tia wondered if that was why they were staying in the penthouse. Was Brent ashamed of her?

  13

Brent cursed as his phone rang again. He had promised Tia he would only spend an hour working, but it had already been three and there wasn’t any end in sight.

Michelle had successfully handled the sale of the company for the extra ten percent. But the company Brent had lined up to sell next was having staff problems. Not the kind that you threatened with disciplinary action and a slap on the wrist. The kind that cost you millions because of a CEO who liked to help himself from the company accounts.

Michelle had called him early this morning with a report from the accountant about the missing monies. Brent didn’t even have to ask who did it. The CEO had been giving him grief form the first day he had bought the company. But Brent had asked him to come aboard, join the new vision, and told him he would be sufficiently rewarded. Instead he had gone ahead and rewarded himself, and if news got out, Brent’s reputation would take a hit.

“Michelle?” Brent barked as he answered the phone.

“Brent, I’m really sorry to bother you. But it seems he’s not at home,” Michelle said carefully.

“What do you mean that he’s not at home? Where else would he be with my money if he’s not at work?” Brent barked. The accountants had just confirmed that Shep Fuller had helped himself to almost two million dollars. It wasn’t even petty cash to Brent, but it was enough to make mad. Madder than he had been in a long time.

Who the hell did Shep Fuller think he was to steal from him? If it hadn’t been for Brent, Shep Fuller would have been out of a job by now. If it wasn’t for Tia, Brent would have gone and searched for Shep himself.
