My bear wants to come out, but this time it isn’t to shift completely. I need to finish our bond with my bite too. Once I’m able, I flip Adrian over, and his eyes get big as I begin my partial shift. I say, “It’s okay.” He growls as if I’m the sexiest thing he’s ever seen, and he pumps frantically for his release. I bite into the firm flesh of his shoulder and let the coppery flavor of his blood coat my mouth while he thrashes with the mind-numbing sensations he just gave me. I stay on him until he sighs with satisfaction.
We lie quietly beside each other for a few moments before I lift up and gaze at my mate. The scar from my bite is red, and my bear purrs like a cat that we’ve marked him as ours. “I love you so much, Adrian.”
He places his hand at the back of my head and pulls me down for a kiss as he says, “I love you too, Ginny.”

Two months later
The door that is inches from my back shudders as Aaron knocks on it again. “One minute!” I glance down at my jeans that are in a heap on the floor of the dressing room bathroom and giggle with my post-orgasm high. Adrian grabs my face and kisses me. He decided that even though my bear is now in control, a little physical activity before we go on stage is a necessary safety precaution. But I think he’s obsessed with having sex in small spaces. Either way, I’m happy to comply.
Adrian’s zipper grinds as he fastens his jeans, and denim is tight on my thighs as I wiggle into mine. I fluff up my hair and check my appearance in the mirror as the door clicks open. My mate grabs my hand to pull me with him as we jog to the stage. He tugs me close for a quick kiss before he releases me to take my place next to Aleck.
Nessa hands Adrian a mic and whispers the name of the city to him. He yells out, “Hello, Toronto! Are you ready to rock?”
The spotlight is on Adrian, and his hair glows like our love. My mate owns the stage, and I can’t contain the grin on my face as we live a dream. The roar of the crowd is deafening, but Aaron’s drumsticks click over it as he counts us down. Adrian turns and winks at me before he gives his attention to the fans. He speaks in my head, “I love you, Ginny.”
“Love you too.” I have the perfect man, and no matter where we are or what we do--I’m living my dream.
