Tom Johnstone’s fiction has appeared in various publications, including the Ninth and Tenth Black Books of Horror (Mortbury Press), Brighton – The Graphic Novel (Queenspark Books), Supernatural Tales, #27, Wicked Women (Fox Spirit Books), Shroud Magazine, #15 and Strange Tales V (Tartarus Press). The story published in the latter anthology reflected his interest in the subject of mental health, also a theme of his contribution to this issue of Kzine. As well as these writing credits, he co-edited the austerity-themed anthology Horror Uncut: Tales of Social Insecurity and Economic Unease with the late Joel Lane, published September 2014, by Gray Friar Press. C.I. Kemp has previously had two short stories (“Depths” and “Pickman’s Motel”) in Kzine (Issues 3 and 8, respectively). His work has also appeared in Isotropic Fiction, Encounters Magazine and Horror Garage.He is also the author of the novels, Demon Ridge and Autumn Moon.
Chris Lynch previously wrote The Dark for AAM/Markosia, a graphic novel, and co-created the seminal UK horror anthology Monkeys with Machineguns. I also edited the Red Cross genre-fiction charity Anthology Hammer of Time
Fraser Sherman graduated from college with no idea what he wanted to do, so he thought he’d try writing. It turned out that was a good fit. He’s written for Boys’ Life, Newsweek and Backpacker, published more than 20 short stories and written three film reference books, most recently Screen Enemies of the American Way. He has a novel coming out from Barbarian Books in the near future. Fraser was born in England, grew up in Florida and now lives in Durham, NC with his wonderful wife LeAnn. Dave Windett is a professional illustrator and comics artist, his work has been published in Britain, Europe and America. He has drawn comics featuring licenced characters including Inspector Gadget, Eek the Cat, Ace Ventura, Daffy Duck and Korky the Cat. For the Scandinavian market he has illustrated educational books, business manuals and comics. He has also designed original characters for a variety of publications and provided illustrations for everything from magazines and websites to mobile phones, games and children’s shoes.
