Gods, Vale could seriously simply watch them together. He didn’t need to join in to get off. Being in the same room with these two was enough. But he would, because he wanted to.
A cautious hand went to his mouth, and he got his fingers wet before rubbing between her folds and around her clit, much like Tamlen had. Lena shuddered into her long, slow kiss with Tamlen, their lips parting so she could moan with pleasure. Vale turned his palm up, moving his fingers to the hole that called out for his cock. The tip of his dick throbbed; he wanted to go inside her, and not with his fingers. The anticipation would only make the orgasm feel better, he knew.
Vale’s fingers slid inside of her easily, so warm and wet and welcoming. This—her inner walls, the slickness signaling that she was as hungry as he was—was what he felt before, when his cock was inside her. The way she squirmed under him…just imagining it made his fingers’ rhythm pick up speed. The moment his fingers curled a bit inside her, Lena tore her mouth from Tamlen’s.
She set her hand on Vale’s wrist, pulling him out of her. Her violet gaze never left his as she lifted the hand to her mouth, licking the fingers that were just inside of her, sucking the juices off.
Behind her, Tamlen muttered a soft, “Damn.”
Lena crawled closer to Vale, giving him a playful kiss on the tip of his nose before glancing back to Tamlen. A smile spread across her lips as she whispered something into Vale’s ear, soft enough that Tamlen couldn’t hear. Vale felt his dick throb again—the woman wanted to watch him suck Tamlen off.
Was this Hunger? The spirit had never affected him before like this. Still, who was Vale to argue? He wanted Tamlen’s monster of a cock in his mouth as much as he wanted anything in his entire life.
Tamlen looked from Vale to Lena, his dark eyebrows coming together. “What are you two whispering about over there? I do hope it is not about me. I don’t enjoy being mocked.” As if anyone would dare make fun of a man like that. The way he strutted around, even on the battlefield—it was much deserved simply from the size of his cock.
Inching closer to Tamlen, Vale said, “It would seem that Lena wants us to get better acquainted.”
“I think we’re more than acquaintances now,” Tamlen remarked, flicking his dark eyes to her. “What did you whisper to Vale? Certainly I deserve to know, especially if it involves me.” He ran a hand along his hard length, tempting both Vale and Lena. He had to have known what she said; he must’ve simply wanted to hear it.
Lena moved, her chest heaving as she bounced. “I want Vale to take you in again—but this time I want to watch, and I don’t want you to stop him when you’re ready to—”
Running a thumb over his tip, Tamlen shot her a mock glare. “You are a cruel mistress, aren’t you? Vale’s mouth is skilled, but for me, nothing could match the feeling of being inside you.”
Instead of biting her lower lip, Lena jutted it out, pouting.
“Fine, fine. But only for you,” he whispered, giving her a fast kiss. Tamlen leaned back on his arms, his dick standing ready.
A part of Vale still could not believe this was happening—them agreeing to be together, the three of them. This could very well be his new normal, which perhaps not so surprisingly, he was fine with. More than fine with. He loved it.
Vale positioned himself over Tamlen, bringing his head down. Not only was the man long, but he had girth as well. His jaw had to open as wide as it could to accommodate him. He closed his eyes before he took him in. One hand held the base of Tamlen’s shaft, pulling back the skin, while the other gripped his inner thigh.
If there was one thing Vale was good at, other than flinging lightning bolts and trusting the wrong people, it was giving good head.
The air in the room was a bit cold on her bare nipples, now that no warm hands were on her, touching her and heating her up, but Lena didn’t dare move to disturb the two men. Vale was more than gung-ho about it, but Tamlen—she could tell Tamlen would much rather be inside her. He preferred women, but he did not stop Vale as he touched the base of his penis, tightening the skin. Nor did Tamlen swat Vale’s hand when it moved to his thigh and caressed the area. And, of course, Tamlen didn’t even blink a refusal as Vale opened his mouth and took him in.
Lena was rapt, her full attention on both what Vale was doing and Tamlen’s reactions. She wasn’t a man, so she could only imagine what it felt like, but based on the way Tamlen’s eyes fluttered closed and the low, throaty groan that flowed from his lips, it felt good.
“Oh, fuck,” Tamlen whispered as Vale’s speed picked up. The hand that rested on his thigh moved to cup his balls. Still sitting, Tamlen grabbed the back of Vale’s head with a single hand, his hips starting to move off the bed. He pushed himself deeper inside Vale’s mouth, and Vale took it all in.
Lena was amazed…and so turned on.
She felt the urge to join in, but she stopped herself. If this was going to work—provided they eventually figured out what to do with them beyond giving them a cramped room at an inn—they all had to accept each other, love each other. They had to lower their boundaries. Hah. As if she were an expert on the subject of polygamous relationships. She wasn’t. This was new to all of them she suspected, so they’d stumble through it together.
Still…she did want to do something. Lena couldn’t just sit here and watch. Her stomach burned, and she recalled the feeling of their fingers touching her. It would have to do, for now. She spread her legs slowly so as to not disturb either man, reaching a hand down.
Tamlen’s fingers held onto the back of Vale’s head even as he fell backwards, unable to keep holding himself up. His hips kept thrusting with Vale’s movements, a look of pure ecstasy on his handsome face. Vale was very eager.
She never took her eyes off the pair as she started to touch herself. In all her life, she’d never been so wet. Her fingers could slide back and forth, along each fold, almost effortlessly. And her clit—it was swollen with desire. Rubbing a few fingers on it, she took on a circular motion as she sighed. Just as the pleasure mounted in her own body, she watched Tamlen’s large form jerk a few times, almost uncontrollably as an orgasm took him over, his cock spewing his seed straight into Vale’s eager throat.
Vale didn’t withdraw; he devoured every little bit of him that came out. When Tamlen went slack, his hand finally sliding off, Vale lifted his head somewhat, trailing his tongue up, swirling it around the tip, practically sucking him dry.
Truly, she was amazed. “That was…something else,” Lena commented, a wide smile on her face. And fast.
Vale gave her a sloppy smile. “That’s because I’m good, right, Tamlen?” He started to crawl up to Tamlen’s face, but the other man responded by swatting him aside with a strong push to Vale’s shoulder.
As Vale fell onto the bed beside him, Tamlen muttered, his eyes still closed, “Yes. Vale is very skilled at sucking cock.”
“You know,” Lena said, crawling to them both, “since I do have to go back to the College, and you two are stuck here…” Both men looked at her, expectant. She moved her mouth to Vale’s chest, kissing a rune. The poor man still had a hard penis; she had to take care of it. She wanted to, actually. “I wouldn’t be upset if you two enjoyed each other’s company without me—”
Tamlen chuckled. “I already told you what I prefer, love. Stop trying to push my enemy and me together.”
“She didn’t have to do much pushing,” Vale said, earning him a glare from Tamlen, which he promptly ignored as he stared pointedly at Lena. “Now, is it my turn?” He grabbed the tip of his dick, squeezing once.
Lena whispered, “Yes.” She giggled as Vale launched himself at her, tackling her back down, her head colliding with the only pillow on the bed. The pillow the two men would have to share, unless one of them chose to sleep on the floor. She dripped at the thought of the two men together on the bed. Would she ever know again what it was like to not be horny?
Not right now, definitely. Not while Vale pushed inside her, rocking them
both back and forth. Not while Tamlen, even though he was limp, watched with interest.
She bent her neck, kissing Vale, slipping her tongue into his mouth, trying to taste any remnant of Tamlen. He must’ve swallowed him up greedily, for there was nothing but saliva in his mouth. Lena gently bit his lip before whispering, “How did it feel, to take him in?”
Vale’s hips started to move faster at the memory. “It felt…” he murmured against her cheek, “Like bliss, bottled up and poured right down my throat.”
Shivering at the description, she then asked, “And how do I feel?”
“Like a warm, wet hug around my cock,” Vale spoke, kissing her cheek. “You are beautiful, Lena. So very beautiful.” His breath was hot on her skin as he added quietly, “You are the only woman I want.”
Lena felt herself lose it at the intensity of his words. Pure pleasure coursed through her, causing her inner walls to clench around him, which furthered his own release. Vale shook once, muttering a moan before pulling out and laying beside her, spent for the moment.
Gods. Did she have some stories for Ingrid.
Chapter Seven
By the time Ingrid returned, arms full of folded clothes and shoes that should fit the two large men better than the stolen garments they had, Lena and the guys were already dressed. Their skin might’ve been a bit more flushed, a tad sweatier, but they were decent. A good thing, too, because Lena didn’t remember either of the men getting up to lock the door before they screwed each other’s brains out like rabbits.
It was the Era of the Rabbit for a reason. She held back a giggle at the thought.
Ingrid set the clothes atop the dingy dresser, turning to view the bed, which remained messed-up, its sheets in disarray and full of sweat and other bodily fluids. Her hazel stare moved to Lena, who stood in the corner, pretending to be so very interested in a splinter on the wall. When her friend caught her gaze, all Lena could do was shrug.
She couldn’t exactly tell Ingrid everything now, not while both Vale and Tamlen were near. She needed to have a girl talk, a talk between two best friends. Also a cleansing spell. Hopefully Lena wouldn’t feel like attacking every attractive male she saw. That would be bad, especially bad now that she was in some weird, unexplainable relationship with both Vale and Tamlen.
First, leaving the College grounds for the first time in years. Then the accidental necromancy—and now she was in a relationship with two men simultaneously after immediately losing her virginity to them. Today grew weirder and weirder, and it wasn’t over yet.
The men made their way to the clothes, picking through them. “Can I talk to you?” Ingrid didn’t wait for Lena’s reply; she simply grabbed her friend by the wrist and dragged her into the hall. The instant the door closed and they were alone, Ingrid studied her. “Well? You going to tell me what went on in that room while I was running through the markets, spending my own hard-earned coin as I tried to find clothes that would fit those behemoths?” When Lena kept quiet, she added, “Or am I going to have to start guessing?”
Lena whispered, “I’ll tell you later, okay? Not now, not here.” She didn’t want either Tamlen or Vale to know just how close she and Ingrid were—that they shared practically everything with each other. Everything.
That seemed to pacify her. Ingrid’s shoulders relaxed, and she said, “Fine. But the very instant we get back to your room, you’re going to tell me every little detail. And I mean every detail.”
Lena knew her friend wasn’t kidding, because she’d heard plenty of Ingrid’s stories. The threesome probably wouldn’t shock her, for she’d had one or two before. What would shock her would be the mere fact that Lena had one. Lena—the girl who hadn’t even kissed a man before today. And it wasn’t for her friend’s lack of trying; Ingrid had spent many nights trying to set her up with other mages in the College since she refused to leave the grounds illegally.
Hmm…she might have to break one of her rules, in order to see Vale and Tamlen.
“I hope you thought about what you’re going to do with them,” Ingrid said, crossing her arms. Her usual stance. “Gregain loves you, but even he won’t let you have two fuck toys stay with you.”
Lena quickly said, “Ingrid, they’re not—” She couldn’t explain why they weren’t just fuck toys, not yet. If she did, she’d have to explain everything. “No, I can’t tell Gregain about them.”
“Well, Harry’s nice, but I don’t want to take advantage of his kindness for longer than we have to. I figure, after everything I’ve done for him, he owes us that room for two weeks.”
Two weeks. That was plenty of time to figure out something. Right?
“When we get back,” Lena started, glancing at her friend, “will you do a cleansing spell on me?”
Ingrid’s green stare widened somewhat. “A cleansing spell? Why?”
Shrugging as if it were nothing, as if a spirit of Hunger hadn’t touched her mind and made her throw all caution to the wind, she said, “Ever since leaving that crypt, I feel…”
“Okay, okay. We’ll do one the minute we get back.” Ingrid flashed a toothy grin. “And then you’ll tell me all about hunks number one and two.”
“Tamlen and Vale,” Lena automatically corrected her.
“Ah, it’s Vale now, is it?”
She wanted to roll her eyes, but she stopped herself.
“Get in there and say goodbye to your men.”
Lena didn’t want to heed Ingrid’s orders, but she couldn’t deny that they both had to get back to the College. The sun was in its descent in the sky, the blue outside the skylights on the inn’s roof turning orange. Curfew was dusk; which meant Ingrid had to be safe in her own room before roll call, and the cleansing spell already done.
Returning to the room, Lena grabbed her bag and swung it over her shoulder. The tome was safely back inside it, a strap holding the flap closed. A Noresh book, its text written in blood. She shivered, utterly creeped out.
Vale was in the middle of putting on a new long-sleeve shirt, stopping when he saw her. His chest—wide and tan and strong—rose and fell with each breath he took. Breaths that wouldn’t be possible if she hadn’t risen them from the dead.
Yes, Lena, she told herself, because that’s what you should think of every other minute: necromancy. When she finally did talk to Gregain, she’d have to manage not to think about it. The man always knew when she was hiding something.
Instead, she should think about how chiseled and built Vale was, how Tamlen looked even better in a darker shirt, its hue a pitch-black, matching his short hair. No necromancy. No illegal magics.
“You’re leaving,” Vale muttered, frowning slightly. It was an odd expression to see on a man who could snap her in two, no magic required, but it made her smile because it meant he’d miss her. It meant he didn’t want her to go.
Being wanted, happy—was this what it felt like?
“How long until you’re back?” Tamlen pushed through Vale, snaking an arm around her waist, causing Ingrid to snicker behind her. “Not long, I hope?” His dark eyes were expectant, looming down on her as he drew in closer to kiss her.
“Called it,” Ingrid muttered.
Lena shot a glare at her friend after Tamlen released her, turning her gaze back to him as she said, “I’m not sure. The High Enchanter likes me, but I’ve never made a habit of leaving the College. I don’t really have any reason to. I’m not even an official apprentice, so I don’t want it to be suspicious.”
“Yes,” Vale said, holding his new boots in one hand, his torso rippling muscles beneath his new shirt. He moved to her, smothering her with a heavy, passionate kiss that nearly put the tender one Tamlen gave her to shame. “Whatever it takes for you to stay safe. We will be fine here.”
A small tug on her arm, and Ingrid was slow to pull Lena from the room. She waved to them both, still waving even after the door was closed and they stood in the hall. Her heart hurt; she didn’t want to be away from them, even for a moment.
/> How stupid was that? She barely knew Vale and Tamlen and yet…yet they’d wormed their way into her heart like leeches.
Not the best analogy, but still.
Lena followed her friend down the narrow, winding stairwell, emerging onto the inn’s lower level. The tavern area was fuller than it was earlier, more patrons taking up Harry’s time and attention. The kind man didn’t even see them leave.
As they exited the inn, Lena asked, “Shouldn’t we have thanked Harry again?”
“No. The man’s fine.”
The streets were less busy than they were before, fewer children frolicking and playing with their wyvern toys, less people concerned with the royal hunt as the day slowly came to an end. Their walk back to the College’s steps was uneventful.
The College was a portion of the city, not just a building. The stone steps that led to its front gates, gates that were supposedly magic-proof once they were down, separated the College from the rest of the capital. If one walked further along the same road, one would come upon the inner wall and the castle. The College’s structure was high and towered, though not nearly as impressive as the castle itself. It held various courtyards, its own kitchen and dining hall, numerous rooms where students of all ages were instructed, and a multi-level library that was the envy of all Rivaini, not to mention the vast living quarters. Each student had their own room. At night, each student was expected to be in their room. A College guardsman—different from the city guards in that they could deflect spells with their magical shields and armor—took nightly attendance.
The main reason Lena was forced to leave her men at the inn.
The guards stationed at the wide gate gave them each a bow of their heads as they walked by, back into the home that was never truly a home. Lena’s feet drew her mechanically through the first courtyard of stone, past the few merchants who had authorization to sell their wares to the College students.
The College was Lena’s home, and yet it had never felt so stifling.
Memories flashed in her head, the past she tried so hard to forget rushed forward, unable to be stopped.
