The kids put me down and I went over to Mutant.
I looked at his giant eye sockets. And I give him a smile.
Mutant looked at me, and he smiled back.
Then he picked me up and put me on his shoulders and we walked out the door.
Then the kids gave out a loud cheer.
And then Mutant gave out a loud cheer.
Then the whole gym came crashing down…
Saturday
Yesterday was the best day ever.
We won the big Dodge Ball game at school.
Mike Magma is no longer bullying me or any other kids at school.
And best of all, I have a new friend named Mutant.
Mutant is actually a really nice Zombie.
The problem he had was that when kids saw him, they got really scared of him.
And he just felt lonely because no one ever wanted to play with him.
What really made me think was that he told me that he had been bullied for a long time, but he felt afraid of telling anybody.
He would only talk to his rabbit friends because he knew they would listen.
I was the first person to ever stand up for him, and he really appreciated that.
Plus, his Killer Rabbit didn’t eat me, so he thought, I must be cool.
I know... I thought Killer Rabbits only ate humans.
Go figure.
