“Wait at the door,” I told Hagan as I opened it and stepped inside.
“Yes, Alpha.” He did his job well as my Beta given what was going on between us. I think it was hearing I wanted to fix things and forgave Reagan.
“Do you wish my Beta to wait outside as well?” Virgil checked.
“No. He’s welcome to join us.” I swallowed my nerves and let my siren merge with me fully as we entered the room, not just her pushing me around or completely taking over.
“Alpha, I’m not sure I’ve ever had a meeting with another Alpha in such a setting before,” Virgil said with a nervous chuckle, touching the restraints secured to the wall as the door closed behind us.
“I would like to discuss business, and that might be later in the night, but first, there is something else I want from you after being so close to the show and being offered such fun by my pack,” I said in that merged voice, which was mine but more seductive. I practically purred everything I said when I talked like that. “You greeted me as being more powerful than you. Do you truly believe that, Virgil?” I let out a good chunk of my power.
He and his Beta immediately bared their necks to me. “Yes, yes, I do, Seraphine. You are incredibly powerful.”
“Then greet me privately,” I challenged, smiling when he moved closer, moaning as my power covered him. “You are single, both of you, yes?”
“I’m seeing someone, but it’s new and not exclusive,” Ross answered as Virgil nodded.
“Good.” I leaned in and licked Virgil’s neck as I scratched my nails down his tight abs.
“Yes, gods, yes, Seraphine. You barely shot me a look when we greeted earlier. I had no idea you would even consider this.”
“I was dealing with too many headaches. I need stress relief, Virgil. Show me you want my attentions and give it to me.” I leaned back enough to take off the wrap, letting it pool around my feet. Then I pushed on his shoulders. He got the idea and dropped to his knees, diving right in with fingers, lips, and tongue as I grabbed Ross’s arm and moved him behind me. I moaned as he jumped in as well, playing with my breasts as he kissed every inch of me he could reach.
“Do you want more, or are you satisfied?” Virgil asked after my fourth climax, smirking up at me as his fingers teased me.
“Do you like the way I taste, Virgil? Let me try it on you.”
He groaned and stood, attacking my mouth with the same vigor as his dick rubbed between my legs. I saw in Ross’s head how much he wanted to drop to his knees and lick me while his Alpha’s dick stayed there, but I wasn’t sure I was comfortable with stepping into that potential landmine.
“Do you want to be my friend that badly, Virgil?” I moaned as I wrapped my leg over his hip and he got better access to me. “Should we be good, good friends and allies?”
“No one wanted to be friends with Chicago until you took over and showed how strong you were. Now you’ve got people lined up wanting alliances with you, Seraphine. You know that.”
“But I don’t know who to trust. I’m FBI. No one tells me shit, Virgil.”
“Virg. If we’re having sex, you can call me Virg.”
“Sera or goddess as some like to shout,” I replied, teasing him. He laughed as did Ross. “Answer so we can fuck, okay?”
“What was the question? I have no blood in my brain.” He grabbed my ass hard, pulling me closer and groaning.
“Can I trust you, Virg? Do you want to be friends with me and Chicago?”
“Yes, and yes. I got on my knees for you, Sera. That’s not something an Alpha does for anyone other than friends.”
“I know, which is why I need to know you’re my friend before I share my secret.”
He stopped playing and gave me a soft kiss before meeting my gaze. “I know you’re a siren. I’m friends with Des Moines, and he wasn’t gossiping, but more ‘did you know they were real?’ kind of conversation. We won’t ever tell, Sera.”
I gave him a heated kiss, nibbling on his lower lip. “I’m glad, but that wasn’t the secret I was talking about.”
“What’s the secret then?” he asked, kissing up my neck. “That you’re gorgeous, sexy, and fuck, it’s fun to make you come, because none of that is a secret.”
I shivered, loving how he could be so fun and so intense at the same time. I pressed my lips to his ear as he nibbled on mine. “I like to be mounted.”
“Oh, fuck me, I’ve died and gone to a heaven I don’t deserve. How do you want to do this?”
I turned around and shoved Ross onto the bed, moving to straddle him as I pushed up my butt in a blatant offer for Virgil. “Take turns this way.”
“Shit, you are just too fucking awesome, Alpha,” Ross moaned before I kissed him.
I cried out as Virgil took the offer and did me good while Ross made sure I was well loved on too. I had a moment to think that it was a lot of sex I’d had in the day. Maybe it was something to seriously think about later.
Shut the fuck up and enjoy the amazing sex. Not everything needs to be thought over and analyzed and worried to death. Lots of people would kill to say they had such fun with four gorgeous men in one day.
Right, so when my siren put it like that, I shut up and stopped worrying.

There was a knock at the door in the midst of all the fun, and Hagan stuck his head in. “Alpha, there’s only fifteen minutes until the goddess show.”
“Then we better hurry,” I teased Ross, leaning down and feeding heavily from him so he finished and brought me with him, knowing Hagan was watching.
Wanting me. His desire filled the room, and I had a moment to swallow down my hurt that he hadn’t wanted me that much for the past months when he’d had me. Time to start working past that instead of wallowing in my hurt.
“We didn’t get any meeting done,” Virgil chuckled as he hugged me to him, sitting back on his feet so I was on his lap. He was still hard and wanting, was basically what he wanted to show me. “I know you have to go so you’re seen during the show for subterfuge, but I’m greedy and want more time with you, Sera.”
“It’s like an hour and a half flight, Virg. You can come back,” I teased, turning my head and kissing him, feeding deeply. “Besides, I think this was the best way to make an alliance between our packs. Aren’t you glad you’re Chicago’s friend?”
“Yes, but I know there’s more you want to talk to me about,” he panted as I slid off his lap.
I didn’t deny it, accepting the wipes Hagan offered me that were kept in all the rooms. “You just want an excuse to get me alone again.”
“Yes,” he chuckled, getting to his feet and taking more wipes from Hagan as well. “Any sane man would, especially if he got a chance to worship you in any way you allowed them. I was hoping we could make an alliance anyways, but I didn’t know it came with such perks like—”
I turned and slapped him, shocking everyone in the room. “I’m not a whore, Virgil. I was teasing about being friends and the alliance. You wouldn’t have come if you didn’t want to be friends with Chicago, and I knew you were tight with Des Moines so—”
“I’m sorry,” he murmured, slowly moving closer and dropping to his knees. “Sera, I’m sorry. I was teasing as you were. I wouldn’t trade an alliance with anyone for amazing sex. Some fuckhead male Alphas would though, so I shouldn’t have made the joke.”
“I shouldn’t have been so sensitive,” I admitted, clearing my throat. “It’s been made clear on more than one occasion that sirens are only good to be fucked. Wolves tend to treat females like shit. It makes being Alpha harder for me, plus, my siren is a bit of a slut, so being infected is much harder than being born one, I guess.”
“And I should have factored in all of that. Yes, the consensus in Memphis was we want to be Chicago’s friend. It is why I came here, hoping for it. What can I do to show you it was a bad joke?”
I sat with that a moment. “Send me flowers after you get home. No one seems to ever tell me they had fun after the horm
ones cool like everything was just in the moment. It hurts a woman’s feelings to not know she left an impression. I never get flowers or wooed like that.” Yes, that was pointed to say in front of Hagan… It was also true.
“I was going to send you scores of sweets from the confectionary the pack owns,” he confessed, getting to his feet. “I heard you make your lip candies in house, and we could do it very easily for our friends.”
“Interesting,” I purred, leaning in and sliding my arms around his neck. “The way to my heart is through my stomach.”
“As is most wolves’. Forgive me?”
“Yeah, I took the perk thing too hard. Let’s go see the show so I’m visible, but then I could use a soak in the hot tubs after such a crazy day. Care to join me? I do have my human lover as my date, so care to join us?”
“Oh yeah,” he chuckled.
We grabbed our wraps as we hurried to the elevator, Hagan pressing the button for us. “Our Alpha loves chocolate-covered fruit and nuts,” he told Virgil. “She doesn’t like crèmes or anything coconut, as she had that as an allergy when human.”
“I feel spoiled you noticed,” I purred, pulling his head down and kissing his cheek.
“We love you, Sera. We notice.”
“I didn’t realize you were involved with your Beta,” Virgil said quietly as we got on the elevator, hinting he was unsure of what he’d stepped in.
“Me and my twin are blessed to live with our Alpha and the woman we love,” Hagan answered, much to my shock, and what he said made me flush. “You already said you knew she was a siren, so you know she won’t ever be exclusive. That’s not a problem with us, as lots of mated wolves even have passes for full moons. Besides, nothing is more amazing than when she’s letting go and being worshiped as she deserves, even if by another man.”
“Wow, you’re really loved in Chicago,” Virgil chuckled.
Yeah, apparently I really, really was. I let my hand brush against Hagan’s as we got off the elevator, letting him know I’d heard and was sort of swooning.
I slid into the booth just as the lights flickered to signal the next show, Alena giving me a wink that somehow eased my nerves. Brian hugged me as I turned to see the show as Hagan waited off by the bar, doing his job as my guard from a distance.
Eva was amazing. She oozed sex and power and desire in a way I never could.
“Stop whatever you’re thinking because you are just as amazing when you do the show,” Brian murmured in my ear about halfway through Eva’s feeding.
“Thank you.” I turned and pressed my lips to his ear. “How did everything go? I was shocked you could make it all.”
“I actually got kicked out when a bunch of DOD guys showed up that Jason called in. We went beyond my case, as it’s really your case as hunters, and even saying I was standing in for you didn’t work, as the councilwoman’s there.” I frowned, and he shrugged. “Our offices get the win, so fuck it. Let them clean up the rest.”
“You were always so good at staying in your lane,” I complimented. “That part drove me a bit crazy, not knowing what happened after the undercover work.”
“It’s because your heart is so big.”
“I’m really glad we figured out a way to make up,” I confessed, his eyes going wide as I hurried and faced the show again. He kissed my neck but didn’t push me.
Honestly, he and Jason had pulled me out of the darkness when I was drowning in despair just as much as Dain had.
When the show was over, a few wolves standing in for Hagan and Reagan given I wasn’t the one in the show, it was fun to see how many had thrown caution or maybe their prudishness to the wind as I slid out of the booth.
“More fun?” Alena asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Going to actually have the meeting now instead of the fun,” I answered, shrugging when she laughed. I extended my hand to Brian. “I told him I had a human date I would have join us.”
“Gladly.”
He looked like he was going to say more, but Hagan raced over. “Chief Monroe just called. They caught all six on the perimeter of the house, the wolves and hawks making enough noise for a party that they were totally oblivious it was a trap. Two are dead, they’re bringing in the other four, no injuries on our side.”
“So it’s over?” I checked, wanting to weep with relief as he assured me it was. “Good. Go check on Reagan and tell the boys. I still want them to all stay at Timequake tonight, and we’ll make extra sure with the interrogations. Dain can be my guard.”
“Yeah, okay, we’ve got only friends now after knowing where everyone stood for the greeting,” he agreed, leaning in and kissing my cheek. “Thank you. I’m really worried about him.”
“I am too after he finally showed me what was going on. You guys hide a bit too much from me to protect me, but it tends to backfire.”
“So we’re learning.”
Luca moved to come with us, and I raised an eyebrow at him. He smiled and said he would facilitate drinks and anything else for the meeting so we didn’t have to bother the servers.
Smart.
I stopped by Noe’s table to give him the news that his hawks were fine and had done a great job. He thanked me for the praise, and all he asked was free vouchers for the club, as the ones he’d sent had been out of work for a while and could use the night out.
Done and done.
“Ready for an actual meeting?” I asked Virgil when we reached him.
“I would prefer more of the first type of meeting, but yes, yes, let’s talk business.”
“Poor baby. Do most of your meetings have drinks in a hot tub?”
He threw back his head and laughed, clearly saying no. Hell, I wished all my meetings went that way.
I checked with one of the attendants to the hot tub floor about the private rooms. He reminded me that we had decided to not let anyone reserve them in case our invited groups wanted to use one. He also told me that the group one was full and they had to turn people away for occupancy reasons. Wow.
Then again, it was free opening weekend, so people would get a chance to see how cool it was. If I was already down to a cover-up, basically a towel, I wouldn’t pass up a free hot tub.
The hot tubs in the private rooms—and the main room too—were part in the floor and one step above it. So there was a stone step up that was the lip around the hot tub and then people could slide right in.
“This place is amazing, Sera,” Virgil complimented, glancing around as I worked the controls after we gave Luca our drink orders. “Everything is top of the line, ultimate luxury and class.”
“Thank you, we wanted to do it right if we were going to do it at all.”
“Allow me,” he murmured as I reached to take off the cover-up. I nodded and let him slide the straps off, standing before them naked again.
“You’re getting distracted,” I teased as I hit the button for one of the upgrades I’d wanted. The overhead spigot fell down into the ten person hot tub like a waterfall. I sat on the stone step and swung around, getting right in and under the shower.
“You make it hard to not get distracted,” he griped as they joined me.
I stepped out of the shower and went to sit down, Brian’s hand brushing me, which was enough for me to get some images from him of what he wanted, feeling awkward being the only human for something like this, as it was obviously stuff he didn’t get.
“Where should we sit?” I asked him, taking his hand in mine.
“Mind reader,” he teased, leaning in and kissing my cheek. He sat down on the built-in seats, and I plopped on his lap. “So these are the guys you went off with earlier? Were they good to you, or do I have to call the Memphis office?”
“Don’t be a brat,” I chuckled, swatting his chest. “You make it sound like you’re not a boy scout and always aboveboard. Yes, they were very, very good to me.”
“Give me details later.”
I laughed before giving introductions right as drinks came, Luca standin
g off to the side in case he was needed, while Dain watched the door like a good guard.
“You’re different with him,” Virgil said gently, glancing between us. “The way you love each other—if I could find a fraction of that, I would mate in a heartbeat.”
We both froze, and I blinked at Virgil a moment before we spoke at the same time. “I love him?”
“She loves me?” Brian echoed.
“Oh good gods,” Dain muttered, shaking his head at me. “Yes, Sera, you love Brian. I thought you were in love before you were infected and that broke you up until he could come around to the change.”
“Umm, no, I mean, I didn’t think…” I trailed off, frowning.
“Hey, it’s okay,” Brian murmured when I started to get upset. “I’m not worried about the label or asking for declarations. I know things are too much of a roller coaster for you right now. We’re just being what we are.”
“Yeah, but something’s wrong with me if everyone else around us knows how I feel and I don’t—you don’t because I’m such a jerk I avoid all the mushy stuff and don’t tell you.”
“I feel it, and that’s more important than if you said it.”
The sentiment was kind, but he’d seemed just as shocked at the news as I was, so I didn’t really make him feel it if it was a shock, right?
“I didn’t mean to start this. I was simply jealous how at ease you can be with him. You know how hard that is as Alpha.”
“It’s why I can with him because he doesn’t see me as Alpha. I’m still just Sera to him. That’s why no matter how much it hurt me, the way he handled everything after I got infected, I couldn’t seem to kick him out of my life. He was about the only person I could ever fully trust and believe in for years. He showed me the ropes after training. He protected me from the usual male bullshit in our office.”
“He put you on the op where you got infected and went bat shit crazy it was his fault,” Brian mumbled.
“Hey, we agreed I was born to be a wolf, right? I’m making my peace with the change, and you’re helping me, so that’s all I care about.” As if to make my point, I wrapped his arms around me as I sat there naked in the hot tub with two men I’d just had sex with not an hour ago while two others I’d had sex with earlier in the day stood in the room.
