Enemies in Love [High-Country Shifters 4] Page 9

Her moans and groans escalated as both men pulled, licked, and sucked her into a sexual haze. Heat built in her body as they lavished attention on her.

  “Please.”

That must have been the magic word because Kranor slid up next to her and pulled her on top of his powerful chest. The pressure from his cock had her stomach fluttering. She’d waited years for the moment. Kranor had starred in so many of her dreams she couldn’t believe she was about to be joined with him.

Kranor dragged her knees forward. “Sit on me. Fuck me hard.”

Her breath caught. Her pussy dripped juices, and she slid higher on his body. Taking a hold of his cock, she lifted on her knees and dragged the head over her wet slit, her knees quaking in anticipation of his cock impaling her.

Kranor grabbed her wrist. “Don’t wait too long.” His black eyes shone like the darkest pool of water, alluring and yet dangerous.

She slid her legs wider and plunged the head into her pussy but stopped once the tip nestled snuggly inside her. The quick pinch of pain from the intrusion disappeared and was replaced with a torrent of need.

Kranor gripped her hips and lifted up his, taking away her control. “I have to have you, little one. Enough is enough.” His jaw tightened, and his eyes pressed closed.

She expected him to ram his way to the end, but instead he took his time forging his way into her wet channel with one slow thrust. Her body had to stretch to accommodate him, but the white-hot path he left in his wake elicited new nerves to awaken.

Jude pressed a hand on her back to slowly lower her. His other hand rubbed her ass. She clenched, thinking about having a cock in her ass at the same time. There was no way both would fit.

“I told you not today, sugar, but soon.”

Damn, so lost in eternal bliss that she’d forgotten about their abilities to know what she wanted. Never had anyone tried to give her all that she desired until she’d met them.

Kranor pulled down her head and kissed her with an intensity that made her think a bolt of lightning had snuck out of the clouds and burned her. His tongue eased into her mouth, and she savored the burst of flavor from the berries they’d snagged off one of the bushes.

Jude kissed her rear and rubbed her back. She couldn’t help but clench. That got her a light tap.

  “Relax, sugar.”

How could she do that with Kranor’s spine-tingling kiss shimmering over her body and his big cock in her pussy? Kranor slid his hands to her hips and held on tight.

“Don’t move.” His command froze her.

With more control than she thought possible, he withdrew his cock then eased back in. Her inner walls thrilled to the friction and loved how her body hugged his so tight. On their own, her muscles milked his cock.

“Little one, you will be sorry.”

As if he was about to blow, he drove up into her at the same time Jude pressed a finger into her ass. The double sensation sent her so high she thought she might never come down. Another loud moan escaped.

  “That’s it, sugar. Love it.”

Jude plunged his finger into her ass over and over again, stretching out her narrow channel. He curled a finger and must have hit some explosive device because all of a sudden her body heated from two directions.

Just as she was enjoying having something in her ass, Jude moved to the side and waved his cock in the direction of her mouth. A pearl of cum shimmered out his slit. The vein running along his length throbbed and pulsed.

  “Fuck this, sugar.”

To better take him in her mouth she sat back, which changed the angle of Kranor’s cock. The next thrust rubbed against her clit and nearly made her burst. She wasn’t going to last long. Opening her mouth, she licked her lips for him to come closer. Jude reached under her and pinched a nipple while he guided her head to his cock.

Kranor must have noticed the lonely breast for he, too, reached up and rubbed her swollen nipple between his fingers. The pressure matched the tightness in her pussy. Juices flowed and heat built.

She drew her lips tight around Jude’s cock and brought him deep into her mouth. Balancing on her knees, she pulled his cock out of his hand and squeezed him hard. His gasp made her want to suck on him more, but there was no more room in her mouth.

She palmed his balls then returned to holding his shaft. The two men got into the same rhythm of fucking her hard and sending heat to every cell. They rocked back and forth in unison as she drove Jude’s cock deep into her throat. Explosions marched their way up and down her body, sweeping her away as her climax finally took hold.

Her fingers tightened their grip and she scraped her teeth along his skin. Jude grabbed a handful of hair and pulled tight. The tension pushed her over the edge into a sea of ecstasy. A growl that seemed to start in his belly raced up his body and burst out just as his hot seed seared her mouth and pummeled the back of her throat. She pulled back her head and swallowed his cum, loving the tangy, salty taste.

Kranor lifted his hips so high, her knees left the ground. She would have fallen forward had he not palmed her chest. His strong, rough fingers pressed down hard on both nipples, and she sobbed out his name. That final touch catapulted her into oblivion, and his seed streamed deep inside her.

Pulses radiated over her body and she failed to catalogue what had happened. Being with these two men exceeded every dream and expectation. Her pulse raced and her body throbbed. Jude sat back and let out a long exhale.

Kranor lifted her up and gently placed her on the ground next to him. The fresh, sweet scent of the anoman flower bathed her in delight. The sun seemed brighter and the air cleaner. Every muscle relaxed as she stared at the blue sky and her men’s grinning faces.

She wasn’t sure how Kranor had the energy to get up on his feet and scoop her up in his arms, but he did.

  “It’s cleaning time for you.”

She lightly tapped his chest because he didn’t have any more energy. “Tell me where the gruff, standoffish Kranor went.”

Jude interceded. “Trust me. As soon as we step foot in wolf territory, he’ll return.”

Was that true? Did Kranor’s good memories of being here wash away his frustration with his clan?

  Don’t question it. Enjoy him.

She expected him to walk to the other side of the pond where the slope was shallow. Kranor, however, never did what he was supposed to. With her in his arms, he leaped into the water, and the coolness shocked her system awake. They sank to the bottom. Kranor pushed up, and they emerged a few seconds later. He tossed her up in the air toward Jude.

She lowered her legs and held up her hands. “I am not a toy.”

They both converged on her. “That you are not.”

Jude pulled her close and enveloped her in his arms. His kiss came out so soft and tender that she melted against him. She clung to his shoulders and returned the affection. She swore he’d been holding her with both hands when suddenly he wheedled a finger into her ass.

  “Eek.”

“You like it. I can tell.”

She did like it. His exploration had been all too quick. “I’ll admit it, but if I let you fuck me in the ass and if it’s as wonderful as I think it will be, I’ll miss you all the more.”

Damn. She shouldn’t have brought up them leaving and spoiled their sensual time together.

Kranor moved behind her and threaded his hands around her waist. “Would you like us to come back and visit again?”

She was torn. “It’s not safe.”

“We can take on a lion.”

She didn’t want to get into that age-old argument. “You’ve seen both Malik and Cavon take down three or four wolves at one time.” They were there during that fight.

  “We’ll be careful.”

The thought of either of them getting hurt again made her stomach tumble. “I really need to get back. I don’t want my mom to worry.”

Jude kissed her nose. “You could always move in with us.”

  That wasn’t
going to work. “I appreciate the offer, but I don’t think I want to be afraid just going out to the garden.”

Jude slipped his other hand under her legs and walked out with her in his arms. The depression already had begun to fester before her feet hit the ground.

They let the air dry them for a bit before they put their clothes back on, but her skirt stuck to her skin nonetheless. She pulled it off her legs and held it out. “Will I see you again?” She hated that her voice hitched.

Jude pulled her into an embrace. “You can’t keep us away.”

Thrills raced through her. At the moment, she was willing to deal with a possible lion encounter. If she could love them a few more times, the memories might last her a lifetime.

“We can’t make promises.” Ooh. The old Kranor had returned. It was like he pulled a shade over his heart.

Jude dragged a knuckle down her cheek. “When do you have your garden duty?”

It wasn’t really a duty. It was something she loved. “In four days.”

“We’ll be here.” He shot a terse glance at his friend.

Kranor’s face softened. “We’ll try to be here. Something might come up.”

She stepped back. “I understand. If you sense danger anywhere, I don’t want you to come. I’m outside every fourth day.”

Jude reached down and picked up his pack and wrapped an arm around her. “Let’s get you back.”

No two men could be more considerate, which only make it harder to say good-bye.

  Chapter Eleven

“Where have you been?” Her mother’s tone wasn’t exactly accusatory, but it was clear she’d been worried.

Henla could sense that her dad wasn’t home, or had the scent of cinnamon and cloves from her mom’s cooking overshadowed his pipe stench? “I was with Kranor and Jude.” The giggle that escaped couldn’t be helped.

Her mom whipped off her apron and motioned that both sit at the large kitchen table. A beautiful bouquet of pink and red anomans sat in the center, and their wonderful scent reminded her of the lovemaking.

  “Talk to me.”

She knew that phrase, and it wasn’t a good one. “There’s nothing to tell. I was working in the garden when they stopped by.”

Her mom’s brow rose at the parts she left out. “Wolf shifters, friends they may be, don’t just stop by. It was very dangerous for them to come here.”

She knew this was the reaction she’d get. “They didn’t come underground. It’s a free country. Anyone can hunt where they like.”

“Not if they want to live.”

She averted her gaze. Her mom’s warm hand caressed hers. “You care a lot for them. I can tell.”

She more than cared. She was falling in love with them. “Yes.”

“If they’re willing to risk their lives for you, fine, but be careful. You would feel horribly guilty for the rest of your life if one of them died for you.”

Her stomach churned and her muscles weakened. “Mom, that’s a terrible thought. I’ll be careful. I promise.”

“You know your dad and I support whatever decision you make, but the elders will not.”

That meant if, and it was a big if, she ever did want the blessing of marriage, she wouldn’t find it here. “Thanks. I’m going to my room.”

Why did love have to be so complicated? Kranor and Jude had saved lions and ostracized themselves in the process. That should count for something.

  * * * *

Jude finally caught his breath as they shifted back to human. He let himself in the house and headed straight for the refrigerator. “I’m getting old.” They’d sprinted home in need of exorcising everything bad in the world, but it hadn’t helped.

“Why did you give Henla hope?”

He spun around with a beer in his hand. “Because I love her, damn it.”

  “It’ll never work.”

Kranor’s sour attitude was pissing him off. Whenever he was in lion territory, he was fun to be with. Get within a mile of this place and he turned into Mr. Grumpy.

“Why is that?” Jude’s legs were tired and he wanted to relax. He headed into the living room, knowing Kranor would follow.

“If I have to tell you, then you deserve to get eaten by lions.”

  “Go growl at a squirrel.”

That got an infinitesimal lift to his lips. “I’ll admit that Henla is wonderful. She’s amazing and loving and everything else we want in a woman.”

  “But?”

Kranor shook his head. “We live in wolf territory and she lives in lion territory. Do you really see her living here?”

That was the problem. He couldn’t. “I think we should move closer to the lions.”

“That won’t work. We’d be butted up against the bears.”

The wolves hated them, too. He drank half his bottle and chuckled. “I thought you said a few lions were good.”

Kranor waved his bottle. “Sure. I was with Taryn once. We were probably eighteen. I hadn’t seen him in years and we happened to cross paths. I don’t remember what I was doing over in lion territory, but we spotted some wolves about to attack a bear. It was the funniest thing I’d ever seen.”

“Funny? Since when do you think a fight is funny?” It was the reason why they were on the outskirts.

“Funny in the sense that the four wolves never got near Jalen. That was his name. It was like he’d put a trance on them. They spun in circles and kept falling down.”

The image barely formed. “That would be quite embarrassing.”

“You can say that. I’ll never forget the image.”

He let Kranor have his happy memory before he spoke up. “I’m going back in four days. You want to join me?” If the two of them went together it would be safer.

Kranor adjusted his cock. “Are some wolves mean motherfuckers?”

He’d have to remember that Earth expression. “All right, then.” He held up his beer in a toast. “To four days.”

  * * * *

The next four days passed by so slowly, Henla wanted to yell at someone or something to make life move faster. She knew it was dumb to get her hopes up about the men showing up, but after making love with them by the swimming hole, her mind had been spinning. Having all those hands on her body at once altered something inside her. She’d promised her mother she’d be careful, but with each hour, her desperation grew. She could only hope she didn’t ditch her caution and be so enthralled with being with them that she shut off her internal radar. All three would have to be on constant vigil for lions, and she guessed for wolves, too.

All morning she’d been helping customers with their shoe needs. Being busy was great, but as her time to work the garden grew near, she was less and less cordial.

“Just go.” Rein seemed to appear out of nowhere.

She loved her friend’s supportiveness. “You sure? It’s really busy.”

She chuckled. “Remember when Sella went on vacation for two weeks?” She rolled her eyes, a clear sign they’d spent too much time together.

  “Yes. It was a madhouse.”

“Right, but you weren’t always here. I was. I can handle it. Now go.”

Henla leaned over and kissed her cheek. “You’re the best.”

Rein grinned. “I know, but you have to tell me everything, and I mean everything, that happens between you and your two men.”

A slew of images passed in her mind’s eye of cocks and hands and lips and everything else. “Maybe.” She pranced out of the store and into what she would call a wall of people.

By the time she got to the garden, her nerves were taut. The last time, Kranor and Jude had arrived later in the afternoon after her work had been mostly completed, but perhaps they were as anxious as she was to see each other. The problem was that the garden had to be worked. If she kept running off, someone else would have to make up for her slacking.

Working faster than she ever had, she got out her tools and began weeding, pinching back the dead leaves, and picking the
fruit and vegetables. The sun beat down on her back, but the heat was a welcome change from the cool underground.

After two hours, a wave of depression blanketed her. She understood that if lions patrolling the area got a whiff of either man there would be trouble. They were smart enough to keep their distance, but, oh, how she wanted to see them.

She’d just finished working the garden and was carefully cleaning her tools, trying to delay her departure when her skin sizzled. Joy flooded her body. They were here!

She spun around but didn’t detect them. That was strange. Her body had sensed them, so where were they? Then from behind a tree both men rushed toward her with smiles filling their faces.

“Hey!” She dropped the hoe and ran toward them.

They got to her at the same time and lifted her up. Jude kissed her hard. “It’s so good to see you.”

  “Me, too.”

Kranor’s face lit up. “Ready for an adventure?”

“Only if I get to see you both naked.”

They laughed, so she took it as a yes. “Do you have a place in mind?”

“We thought we’d spend the night on top of Dilback’s Ridge.”

Spending the night sounded divine, but the possible danger only intensified the longer they stayed outside. “I’ll have to let my mother know. Otherwise, she’ll worry.”

Jude waved a hand. “By all means, call her.”

In case her men came, and in case they did travel to wolf territory, she didn’t need to be topless and cause trouble. She’d brought a covering and tied it around her waist. Next time she might bring a knapsack to carry some water and food since their journey always seemed to take them far. Shimmers of joy skittered over her skin.

She gathered her phone she’d placed in the toolbox and called home.

He mom answered and she told her the plan to spend the night with her men, far from where any lions would be.

  “Be careful, Henla.”

She expected nothing less from her mother. “I will. Hug Daddy for me.”
