“Good, because I’m dying to move in. How are things at Blakesbuild?”
“Much better now. We’ve sold all our surplus land and when the farm sale is completed, we’ll be back on the road to recovery.”
“What’s happening at Osbornes?”
“Angela’s taking over.”
“Is she? I’m sure she’ll make a success of it.”
They finished their coffee and Jim said, “Come with me to the front of the house.”
She smiled and lead the way out on to the patio and Jim moved close to her.
He pointed to the forest in the distance. “Look at that beautiful view.”
She whispered. “Yes, it’s lovely.”
“I want you to share all this with me.”
She turned towards him and was in his arms before she could draw breath. They kissed passionately and then drew apart slightly as she whispered, “I would love to spend the rest of my life with you.”
