“Sure!” he shouted back, “come on in.”

Elliot beamed at him, “you are the man, my friend. The man!” They high fived and waited for the women to approach.

The brunette walked straight up to Kaelan, while the blonde stayed on Elliot’s side of the court. “Hi,” she said, holding out her hand, “I’m Paula, this is my friend Liza,” she cocked her thumb towards the blonde. Elliot was shaking hands with Liza already, and he could see by their body language there was a spark.

Meanwhile on his side of the court, they inspected each other for a moment, still holding hands, until Paula said: “So, you have a name?”

“Yeah! Sorry…” he struggled to remember what it was, her dark eyes were peeling away his ability to concentrate, “it’s Kaelan, and that sad sack over there is Elliot.” They waved to each other, and as she turned away he took in the shape of her. She had big round tits, a tight little waist and muscular, toned thighs. They gleamed in the sunlight. “Guys against gals? Or mixed?”

“Mixed! I’ll partner Elliot,” Liza said with a nervous laugh, picking up two balls and walking to the baseline, “I’ll serve.”

“Okay Lize, but just be prepared for a beating!” Paula goaded, as she moved to the net. Kaelan prepared to receive, but his eyes were drawn over and over to Paula’s arse, as she bent forward allowing him to see up her tiny pleated skirt. She caught him doing it and winked. It was shaping up to be a long match.

Jess looked horrified and intrigued all at once, “you did what?”

Sophie giggled and sipped her sparkling water. They were in their usual coffee shop in the mall, looking over the balcony at the hordes of shoppers down below. Carys was looking after Finn for a while, she was old enough to bear the responsibility, Sophie just hoped they wouldn’t kill each other.

“Say it again! You didn’t do what you just told me? Tell me you didn’t.” Jess had her hands to her mouth and was trying to keep the volume down. There was gaggle of older women on the table behind them.

“We masturbated together over Skype, while I was at work,” Sophie whispered, revelling in the surprise that was emanating from her best friend.

“What was it like? I can’t believe you actually did that! How on earth did he convince you?” was there just a hint of judgement in her question? Sophie chose to think not.

“He didn’t really, I wanted to. I mean it was his idea in the first place, but it seemed so naughty, so dangerous, that once I’d gotten over the shock, I wanted it too. And Jesus, Jess…”

Jessie leaned closer, placing her head into her hands and examining Sophie closely with her curious orange-brown eyes, desperately searching for more details in her face and body language. “Yes…”

“Fuck me, Jess it was so intense. Watching him wanking off, knowing that he wanted me so much. His big cock straining through his hand, faster and faster… Fuck I can see it now…” a deep flush crept over her, and that familiar tingle buzzed between her legs, “and the risk. Knowing that at any moment someone could come in, that they would see me, tits and muff, everything open. God.” She sat back and resisted the urge to touch herself.

“And he’s really that good?” Jess’s doe eyes widened at the passion of Sophie’s description, and she became a little breathless herself.

Sophie smirked, “every bit that good. He’s not as…blessed as Kael, but he certainly knows what he’s doing, let’s say.”

“And you’re letting Kael carry-on with that tart from the school?”

Sophie managed to retain her neutral expression, though it was difficult, she didn’t mind sharing her fun times, but talking about what her husband was doing with Cilla, wasn’t so comfortable. “Of course, it wouldn’t be fair if I was the only one getting to explore, would it?”

Jess puffed out her lips, “I’d be afraid she wouldn’t give him back.” That killed the mood stone dead, and they returned to people watching and idly drinking their expensive drinks.

Liza was good. Kaelan knew it from the very first serve, and that was fine because it made for a better match. Not that Paula was terrible, it was just that she wasn’t as athletic or as committed as her friend. Kaelan had seen the type before, she liked to pose in the tight shirts and little skirts, but she wasn’t in it for the tennis.

“Well played,” he said, with more warmth than he felt, as Liza drove another forehand past his partner. Elliot and Liza bumped fists and he clung to that positive development, rather than his childish competitiveness. He would still win, even with the handicap of Paula, it was just that it wouldn’t all go his way. Maybe that wasn’t such a terrible thing?

“I’m sorry you got lumbered with me,” Paula said, as she went to the back of the court.

“I don’t see it that way at all. You’re doing fine,” he replied, with an encouraging grin.

She glanced at him over her shoulder with a flirty expression, “you’re not so bad yourself.” He tried to resist focusing on her ass as she gave it an exaggerated wiggle, but he singularly failed. As he moved forward and crouched at the net in readiness, Elliot gave him a knowing look. He wondered, not for the first time, whether his mate knew about Cilla. He really wanted to tell him. Maybe he would, later on in the bar.

Liza’s serve fizzed over the net and he knew immediately, it was an ace.

Kaelan carried the drinks back to the table. Elliot was sitting next to Liza and chuckling away at something she’d said. They were huddled close and he silently rooted for his friend. She seemed nice, and she was certainly pretty enough. If he wasn’t married… Did that even count anymore?

“Here we are,” he announced, placing the tray on the table. He was forced to sit next to Paula, and she made no attempt to shift over, it meant their thighs were pressed tightly together. He was going to inch away, so that he would hang over the edge of the bench seat, but he caught himself. Why bother?

He gave her a grin and just enjoyed the sensation.

“You’re really good Liza, I thought we were going to beat them, and if it wasn’t for that ape there, it would have been a stroll,” Elliot said, and Liza tilted her head and smiled appreciatively. Kaelan noted that she inched a little closer. He really is in there, he thought, with an inward nod.

“Hey! What am I chopped liver!” Paula’s indignation was affected, and they all laughed.

“No Paul, chopped liver has a better backhand than you,” Liza teased, putting her hands over her friends in supplication.

The banter went on easily for a while, until Elliot asked if Liza wanted to play pool. Kaelan was about to suggest playing doubles, when his wingman sensibilities kicked in. He would be sitting it out, along with Paula. Part of him wanted to make a run for it, but another part, the part that had gone hunting for Cilla the first time, urged him to stay put.

“You’re very good at tennis, I bet you’re good at every sport, isn’t that how it works?” She turned her body into him, which served to press her knee even harder into his thigh.

Kaelan looked at her before answering. She was gorgeous, deep brown eyes that glittered with mischief, a short, nicely pointed nose, and wide full lips. Her skin was flawless, a beautiful shade of olive, and he fought the desire to touch it, to feather his fingers along her cheek. She saw it and looked away, almost challenging him to do it.

“I’m…,” he hesitated, “not bad at other sports, I suppose. Rugby is my real game, or was, I should say.”

She picked up a straw from the cup on the table and put it suggestively between her lips, “don’t be modest Kaelan, I’m sure that you can pick up anything. How good are you at horizontal sports?”

No point in being subtle then, “I have some talents, yes.”

Her hand landed on his thigh under the table. Kaelan shot a glance over to the pool table, just to make sure that Elliot was distracted. If he was going to take this further he didn’t want his friend to suspect anything beyond his willingness to kee
p Paula occupied.

“I’m married,” he chose not to beat around the bush either, better to have things plain and honest.

She looked under her lashes at him as her hand climbed up his thigh, she found the lump in his shorts and stroked it, pulling it roughly so that it stood up, and held it, squeezing softly. “So am I, and I don’t care, do you?”

He slid his own hand onto her thigh, “then we might just have a very interesting afternoon.” Her legs parted and he crept higher until he was touching her mound through her panties. She was dripping hot and wet.

“My place?” her grip tightened and he slid his fingers under the elastic, making her hips gyrate and a soft huff escaped from her shining lips. Her eyes were going lassy.

“I just need to check with my wife, okay?”

She might be a woman of the world, he thought, but she still looked shocked at that. “Kinky!” She said, at last, “go for it. Does she want to join us?”

He coughed and pushed his fingers into her, making her moan, “no I don’t think she’s into that. But I could ask…” Kaelan pulled his fingers from her cunt, sucking them dry and then typing a quick message to Sophie. Paula didn’t stop playing with his cock, and he could tell she desperately wanted to try it out. Hopefully, she’d get her wish.

Jessie picked up a video game from the shelf. “This the one?” It was Finn’s birthday in two weeks so they’d combined shopping for clothes with getting some of his party stuff and presents.

“That’s it, oh, hold on. That might be the original, he asked for the extended version. Here,” Sophie gave her the right one, “I don’t know the bloody difference, but I don’t want to come back and have to change it.”

“What shall I get him? I’d like something that he can keep, something special.”

Sophie considered her friend closely, for all her flakiness she was a lovely person. She felt a flood of warmth for her. How lucky she was to have her. She squeezed her arm and pulled her in for a hug.

“I’m not sure. Let’s have a good look around and I’ll give it some thought. Maybe Kael will have an idea, I’ll just text him.” Sophie took her phone from her bag, “see that’s love, he’s already texted me.” The smile petrified into something akin to dismay, and she actually staggered.

Jess reached out and took her by the elbow, “what is it? Soap? What’s wrong?” When she didn’t reply but just continued to stare at the screen, Jess put the game box back on the shelf and guided her outside. Sophie sat on the wall, and her friend sat close, “Soap?”

Through a rasping croak, Sophie said: “he’s met someone at the club…” her eyes filled with tears, “he’s asked…he’s…shit…he’s…” She couldn’t go on, so Jess took the phone and read the message.

“Fucking hell! The bastard,” then she stopped herself and put her arm around Sophie’s shoulder, “this is where things can lead I guess. You wanted to open things up? Didn’t you?”

Sophie looked at her sharply. “Are you kidding me? No, I didn’t want this! My husband…” she glanced around the busy mall, “my husband sleeping with any woman he fancies. No.” The shock morphed into anger.

Jessie shushed her, “okay, okay I’m sorry, but Soap are you really surprised? Once you let the horse out of the stable…” she bit off Sophie’s protests, “surely you had an idea where this might go? I was going to say what a prick, but you kind of started this. At least he asked you first.”

That was it. Sophie had heard enough, she leapt to her feet, shrugging Jess away, and stood there, arms rigid by her sides hands balled into fists, about to blast her, to let her have both barrels of her anger. But she managed to hold it, just. She huffed and stalked away, and Jess let her go.

Elliot was leaning over Liza and pretending to help her cue properly, it looked like fucking, like he was mounting her from behind. He held her hands and tried to guide her cue to the ball properly. Kaelan snorted.

“What’s she saying?” Paula brought him back to her.

“Nothing yet, I can’t see it being a problem though. What about your husband?” he took a drink and relaxed into the movement of her hand, only when she started to undo his shorts did he stop her. She didn’t respond to his question he noticed.

“You’re fucking huge! I want that in me right now. Let’s go.” She tried to nudge him along the bench.

Kaelan had to restrain himself, his instinct was to take her outside, and fuck her against the wall. To find a spot in the alley behind the kitchens and screw the ass off her. He could see it now, her shapely legs draped over his forearms, while he pounded her into submission, his mouth marking her neck and her big round tits. All he had to do was take her, right now, assume that Soph wouldn’t mind and just do it. Surely that’s where they were in their relationship? Anything goes?

Message. [Jess]: How dare u? Don’t u fucking dare! U bastard.

He stared at it. the words didn’t make any sense. He stared at it with his mouth open. Was she serious? Was this a joke?

“Are you alright? You look as if you’ve seen a ghost.” Paula’s fingers came away from his cock and she stopped pushing him.

“I’m…I’m sorry. I have to go.” He felt so stupid, and embarrassed. Like a boy caught with his pants down. Surely this was the agreement? That they had scope to play if they were honest and transparent?

“It’s okay, you obviously need to sort things out. It’s fine.” Paula’s understanding was a surprise, which was further underlined by the gentle expression that played across her features. “Go! I can wait. I’m happy to take a rain check… As long as I get one.” She giggled, and gave him a tender shove.

“Thanks Paula, I would like that. I hope we can, I… Well you’re a very attractive woman.” It sounded so awkward that he inwardly slapped himself.

“Christ, you’ll be saying you’ll call me next… Go!” She waved him off, and he went. He signalled to Elliot that he’d give him a ring later and ran out of the club into the carpark.

  *****

Why did she have a go at Jess? Sophie drove aimlessly around her estate blinking back tears. It wasn’t her friend’s fault. It wasn’t her fault that her husband was a philandering shit. As she circled the roundabout at the end of their road she reflected on that. Was he a philandering shit? He’d asked her for permission, hadn’t he? He could have gone off and shagged the bitch and she’d never have known.

Hadn’t she gone behind his back with Howie, several times, only stopping short of fucking him? And what would she have done if Kaelan had put his foot down and refused to let her date him? Would she have accepted it? She had no honest answer.

She turned into her street and narrowly avoided running over one of the neighbour’s kids, he ran out in front of her chasing his ball. Bloody idiot. She scowled at him and he scurried off back to his friends.

Carys and Finn were cuddled up watching a film. They didn’t hear her come in, so she watched them from the door for a while. It was so lovely to see them like that. Loving and peaceful, she sniffed back more tears and went to the kitchen.

She sat at the table and checked her phone. Nothing there. Jessie would ordinarily have texted her by now, so she was either annoyed or indifferent, both alternatives made Sophie feel shitty. She loved Jess and knew she’d been a bitch. She would make it up to her somehow. What was more troubling was that Kaelan hadn’t responded.

She bit her nails and felt a wave of sickness rise from her belly. Her phone chirped and she grabbed it up. Howie was calling from Japan. She swiped the busy symbol and went back to her ruminations about her husband’s reaction, or lack of it. She didn’t even consider the impact on Howie. All her thoughts were with Kaelan.

Was he angry? Would he go and fuck the slut out of spite? Maybe he didn’t care? Maybe he would fuck her just because he could? Did this happen a lot? Did women at the club routinely throw themselves at him? She spun her phone idly, wanting to phone him to find out what he was doing.<

Now she thought about it, of course he would have admirers there. He was gorgeous. Athletic and handsome, and a truly brilliant tennis player. Why wouldn’t women chase him? Why had she never thought of it before? Because she would have driven herself mad, that’s why. Maybe she would now. Then again, was this a coincidence? They begin to experiment and a woman happens to fall right into his lap, one that he fancies enough to fuck? Could he have been having an affair all along?

She let out a baleful moan, and clutched her sides.

“Are you okay Mum?” Finn made her jump.

“Yeah, yeah I’m okay love. Have you had a nice time with your sister?”
