“Didn’t know that,” Paulo said and looked back toward the dance floor.

“You thinking of staking a claim to her? Making her your woman while you’re in New York?” Royce asked.

“Not looking for complicated,” Hadeon told them.

“She turned you down?” Turbo asked.

“What’s with all the questions?” Paulo asked in annoyance.

“Just asking how serious you are about her. Heard she had some trouble with some guys,” Royce told them.

“Recent trouble or the two guys from months ago?” Paulo asked before Hadeon could.

“I think the same guys. Heard they came onto her hard yesterday afternoon right on the street. Scared her good.”

“They hurt her? Touched her?” Paulo asked and stood straighter.

“We only caught wind of an order of protection or something from Bella talking on the phone. She was in a state and Mateus and Major were looking into the guys and telling Bella that Fina should have let them handle things their way.”

“What the fuck? What did they do to Fina?” Hadeon asked.

“We don’t know. It’s why we asked you what the deal was with her. I mean, if you’re just looking to screw her it’s probably not the right time. If you’re looking for more, then right about now she could use some protection. She’s a sexy, feminine, classy woman. Heard the guys were aggressive,” Turbo told them.

Hadeon felt pissed off and sick. If she was with them then this wouldn’t have happened. “We should have gotten rid of those assholes,” Paulo said to him.

“Da,” Hadeon said. And wondered where the hell Andriy was and why Fina wasn’t coming back this way.

  * * * *

Fina felt like crying and she didn’t even know why. Did she actually give a shit who those three Russian jerks screwed? There were three women next to them, one with her hand over Andriy’s chest and rubbing his shoulder and the other two practically pressing their boobs to Paulo and Hadeon’s bodies. How sick. What jerks.

“I guess we’ll call it a night, too,” Misty said to Fina.

“It was so nice meeting you, Fina. I hope we can work together sometime,” Gabriella said to her.

“Definitely. I’ll keep you in mind for any future events like I mentioned the one in a week. I want to see samples,” she said and smiled.

“Any time. We should all hang out again. This was fun,” Gabriella said.

“Fina!” She heard her name and knew immediately it was Andriy. The three women looked way up and Gabriella licked her lips and whispered, “Who is this hottie?” It just aggravated her more and she felt jealous, angry, and on guard. Were Andriy, Paulo, and Hadeon just like Jonah and Bader? She wondered, but that thought made her feel like a shit. She turned to look up at him as his hand landed on her waist.

“What are you doing here?” he asked her.

  “Hanging out with friends.”

“Well, come up and see Paulo and Hadeon.”

“It looked way crowded up there, Andriy. If you know what I mean. Besides, I was just leaving.” She went to turn and her friends must have picked up on her attitude and gave her some space with Andriy. He clasped her hand, hitting her wrist that was bruised and she gasped and held it against her chest. His eyes narrowed at her and then he looked at her wrist.

“Fina? What is this?” he questioned and went to look closer, reaching for her wrist. She pulled it down.

“I need to go, Andriy. I’m walking my friends out.”

“No. Don’t go. I missed you,” he said to her, shocking her. He held her gaze with such sincerity, or at least that was what she thought she saw and even felt in his tone of voice. People were squeezing by them and she turned her body yet held his gaze, but he must have feared she would slip away because he wrapped his strong arm around her waist and pulled her close. They stared at one another. She was completely attracted to this scary man. Would she wind up in more trouble, with deeper problems if she went with him and had a drink?

“Fina, we’ll talk to you tomorrow. Stay and hang out with your good looking friend,” Cassidy said and winked. The three women headed out of the club.

“Come,” he said to her, and then took her other hand and for some stupid reason she went along with him. Andriy was so hard and mean looking despite how attractive he was. His behavior felt different and of course he looked incredible and smelled incredible and as they walked through the crowd she had to grab onto his suit jacket and arm to keep up. The feel of hard muscle beneath her fingertips had her heart racing. As they climbed the stairs and headed toward the other men she caught sight of Hadeon and Paulo’s angry expressions and she didn’t know what the hell was going on. Were they angry at her? They were the ones with women invading their space and drooling over them. Her attitude went up a notch. She just about had it with over aggressive men who thought they could do what they wanted. She thought about Jonah and Bader and felt sick. She was still afraid of them and their response to the order of protection. She hadn’t heard from them yet, but she knew she would.

Andriy pulled her in front of him and then placed his arm around her waist.

“Get another round. Fina is joining us,” he said, and Royce ordered another round as Turbo said hello to her. Paulo gave her a small smile and looked her over like he expected to see something but didn’t. He stepped closer and kissed her cheek. “It’s good to see you,” he said and she gave a soft smile. Then Hadeon just stared at her and didn’t move to kiss her hello. Was he expecting her to approach him? Like those sluts she saw over here minutes ago? She gave him a dirty look and then Turbo cleared his throat.

“How are you doing?” he asked her.

“Good, how about you? I didn’t know you and Royce hung out here,” she said to him and Royce handed her a vodka.

She was getting used to drinking this stuff, but wanted to act like she didn’t like it or it bothered her but missed the opportunity as Turbo continued to talk.

  “You were here with friends?”

“Yes, a kind of business meeting and then some fun.”

“Business?” Andriy asked and remained holding her with his arm around her waist.

She glanced over her shoulder at him and then went to move but his hold was firm. She didn’t know why she bothered to try. She liked how it felt to be in his arms and to have his brothers so close. For some strange reason she felt protected. Maybe she was just feeling the need for that after what happened yesterday.

“Yes, my friends Misty and Cassidy introduced me to this other woman, a friend of theirs that does a lot of side work for parties like making favors, décor, special things for individual occasions. It’s personalized and something I could use at my events.”

“That sounds pretty interesting,” Royce said and gazed over her body. Andriy’s arm tightened.

“They aren’t friends with Donata, Alda, and Alessa?” Turbo asked.

“No, not really. Donata, Alda, and Alessa are at Club X tonight. I was going to maybe meet them in a little bit. The women I was with were calling it a night.”

“Why so early?” Royce asked her.

“Some guys came up to Misty and said something to her. She got a bit annoyed,” she said, and then she lifted her hand to push her hair to the side when Hadeon narrowed his eyes at her

“What is that?” he asked, and took her hand. She went to pull back and gasped.

  “Nothing, Hadeon,” she said.

  “That from yesterday?” Royce asked.

“What?” she said and Hadeon lifted her hand and looked angry.

“Those are finger marks, and it’s bruised. What happened, Fina? Who did this?” he questioned her.

“It’s nothing, Hadeon, and it’s being taken care of.” she said to him.

“You should tell them. You need protection and they’re willing and interested,” Turbo told her.

“What do you mean protection? Nothing is going on,” she said and Turbo widened his eyes at her.

  “Rea
lly?” he asked.

“Who said something to you?” she asked him in a whisper. She didn’t dare raise her voice to these men. She hoped that Adelina hadn’t told the men what happened. She knew that Bella found out. Shoot that was probably how these guys found out. Nothing could remain a secret for long. Bella was worried about her and so was Adelina.

“Does it matter, Fina? We just found out. Why didn’t you call us?” Paulo asked. Her jaw dropped.

“Call you? Why the hell would I do that?”

“You know why,” Andriy said firmly. She looked at Royce and Turbo and then back at Paulo.

“No, I don’t know why? I don’t mean anything to you,” she said, sounding outraged.

“Yes, you do, but you deny it,” Paulo replied.

“I deny it? I don’t think so. I’m just not stupid and I won’t be just some woman for you to screw and have your fun with. God, seriously.” She went to pull away and Andriy held her snuggly and Hadeon cupped her cheeks.

“Not to just have fun with,” he said.

“I saw the women over here touching you guys, hanging all over you. I get it. Listen, I think I should go,” she said.

“I think not,” Hadeon replied and then pressed his mouth to hers. She didn’t know why the hell he did that, but a few moments passed with him squeezing her to him as he kissed her and when he slowly released her lips she was speechless.

“Not a meaningless screw, or at least not from our perspective,” Hadeon said and it surprised her.

“An order of protection does shit. Stay, Fina, and talk with them. If you decide to join us at Club X then we’ll see you there, otherwise, enjoy the evening,” Royce said. He and Turbo shook the men’s hands before they walked away from the bar. Hadeon leaned against the bar and Paulo gently took her hand and looked at her wrist.

  “Paulo, it’s fine.”

“Net fine,” he said and then brought it to his lips and kissed her wrist tenderly.

Andriy slid his hand along her thigh so she stood sideways between his legs. The three men surrounded her. Each of them were touching her in some way and in this position between them she felt flushed.

Hadeon had his back against the bar and his hands on her hips. Paulo stood on her left and Andriy on the right leaning on the stool. Andriy and Paulo were caressing her thighs on either side, and her heart pounded so hard against her chest she felt like it could leap from it. She couldn’t speak, or say a word, and for some reason Hadeon’s glare at her did her in. Tears filled her eyes.

He caressed her hips and squinted at her. “Details. Now,” he demanded in a soft tone, but still in a way that told her she better answer him.

As she explained in detail what happened, she felt their hands tighten when she described being forcibly kissed and held between the two men.

“I was so scared,” she said, and a tear fell. She quickly wiped it away and lowered her eyes. Hadeon cupped her cheeks, staring into her eyes as he wiped away another tear.

“You should have been with us. In our arms. In our bed,” he said to her.

“Hadeon, it was the middle of the day, I was on my way home after having a small meeting with a client. Besides, I don’t belong to you. You can’t just say these things to me and expect me to take you seriously when I see the women that swarm around you.”

“You don’t trust us?” Paulo asked.

Hadeon didn’t release his hold on her. He tilted her face up toward him.

“We don’t ask for the women to come flirt. They do and we decline. Why? Because of you.”

She wanted to believe him, but she was scared to let down her guard. She didn’t think she could handle the disappointed feeling, or knowing she was being used, never mind have a similar situation with these men like she had with Jonah and Bader. Could they become some sort of stalkers if things didn’t work out?

“What are you thinking right now? Tell me now,” he demanded to know.

“What if you guys turn out to be like them?” she said and then felt foolish for saying it.

“Never,” he said and pressed his lips to hers. They were making out right there in front of the bar. She could feel Andriy’s hands on her, caressing her thighs and her ass cheek and then Paulo doing the same on her other side. It was too much, and she felt embarrassed to be doing this with them at the bar. She pulled her mouth from his and then pressed her head to his chest. He cupped the back of her head and stroked her hair and her back.

“Lyubimaya, let’s get out of here and be alone,” he said to her. She pulled back from his chest and looked up into his eyes.

“I’ll be going home alone tonight. Just so you know,” she said, trying to be strong despite loving the feel of the three large men surrounding her and touching her like this.

“We’ll see about that, lyubimaya,” Andriy said as Paulo threw money down on the bar and Hadeon took her hand kissed the knuckles and held her gaze.

  “Let’s go.”

  * * * *

She was shaking. Andriy could feel her. She was scared of them, or at least scared of being alone with them and he couldn’t blame her. They were not only made men, but men capable of things she probably couldn’t fathom. Aside from that, she had been victimized only a day earlier and now had to get an order of protection against two men that wanted her in their bed. He could just imagine the thoughts going through his brothers’ heads and the plan Hadeon was making to ensure the two men never bothered Fina again.

“Royce and Turbo were telling us that you do day trading as well as party planning. How long have you been doing this?” Paulo asked her.

“Several years now. I was in college and dabbled in the market a bit and had a knack for it and for numbers. I wasn’t really into the social scene too much and all that drinking and partying. However, I did enjoy helping to plan different fundraising events for a few clubs in school and got back into that a few years after graduating.”

“So you make enough money to not have to work a regular full time job?” Andriy asked her.

“I do okay,” she said and looked toward the front of the vehicle out the window.

“Sounds like you’re being modest,” Paulo asked and stroked her hand.

“Let’s just say I don’t have to be a party planner if I don’t want to. I enjoy doing it and it feeds my creative side.”

“What do you like most about it, since you seem shy and kind of quiet?” Andriy asked.

“I like helping the person wanting the event to achieve their expectations. I love coordinating the colors to the themes and finding the best location and then making it unique. It was why I was meeting my friends tonight. I really didn’t want to go out, actually,” she admitted.

“We’re glad you did and that we saw you. But, I, for one, am still upset about this situation with these two men. I want you to call us right away if you see them nearby,” Andriy said to her and stroked her other hand. The bruised one.

“Andriy, I’m supposed to call the police if they come within a certain distance of me.”

“We could eliminate the situation and ensure these men never come near you again,” Hadeon said in such a hard, angry tone that Andriy felt Fina shiver.

“That won’t be necessary, Hadeon. I went to Adelina for help and we decided that it was best for me to handle things legitimately and not use the power or persuasion of the families. After all, I’m not family but a friend of women involved with made men. I don’t want additional trouble, and I think that Jonah and Bader will stop now.”

Andriy wanted to tell her that she would be the woman of made men very soon, but he knew he couldn’t say that to her now. That this relationship was going to take time to build and the fact that he was wanting a relationship with a woman and more than sex was enough at the moment to accept.

“If your friends’ families are anything like ours, we take friendship seriously. Good people deserve protection and help. You’re too beautiful to live in fear, or to have men trying to forcibly kiss you, manhandl
e you, and force you into their beds,” Paulo said to her.

“I don’t want to talk about it anymore. It’s been on my mind constantly and I’m having trouble sleeping. I just want it over,” she whispered.

Paulo brought her fingers to his lips just as Hadeon parked in a spot outside of her apartment building. “If you were in my arms at night, you would be safe and secure,” he said to her. She just stared at him a moment.

“I don’t doubt that, Paulo, but we aren’t even dating,” she said.

Hadeon got out and then Paulo whispered, “Not yet. We’re working on it, though.” He opened the door and helped her out. Andriy followed and noticed how Fina looked around the place, up and down the side streets.

  “Everything okay?” Paulo asked her.

“Just checking. That’s what the detective told me to do every time I left the apartment and arrived home to the apartment.”

“Good advice, but you shouldn’t be coming and going alone,” Hadeon said and looked around the neighborhood. It wasn’t exactly the best of blocks, but her building at least had a coded entryway and that required the use of a keycard. Andriy knew that would be easy enough to get from another tenant. He took notice of the security as they entered and once inside there really wasn’t anything. Not a door man or front desk person. Nothing.

When they got to her door, she hesitated before opening it.

“I’m trusting you to respect my wishes because of Rayanna,” she said.

“Open the door, Fina. We’ll talk and only what you want to happen will happen,” Hadeon said.

As she opened the door, Andriy looked at her body. The sexy, tight dress that accentuated her curves, the dip in the front that showed off a hint of deep cleavage, and how her long blonde hair cascaded down her back. She turned around to smile at them and waved her hand, encasing the room.

“Welcome to my home,” she said.

He took in their surroundings. It was a nice sized apartment, and surprisingly she had it decorated in a very industrial, Tuscan style. Very upscale, yet not modern or cold, but inviting. The tables in the living room all sat on black wheels and the wood work custom in design. The seats a soft brown leather, and paintings of Tuscan vineyards and sunsets decorated around the room. There was a large window that overlooked the Hudson River and the city lights, then an open kitchen done with lots of stainless steel, brown and black granite countertops, and cherry wood cabinets. It was impeccably clean and the flooring custom, large planked wood.
