Scandalous Past

“You slept with that guy Mace, at my apartment. And not to mention the guy the night before that. So, are you and my brother just fuck buddies?” My face twisted into a mystified expression as I sat looking at Macey waiting for her to explain herself. Cillian cleared his throat, shocked at my abruptness.

My brother lowered his head, picking at the label on the beer bottle “I decided to give her space. Macey needed to decide what she wanted. And we agreed this morning that we want to try and make it work.” My brother laid his bottle of Budweiser down before reaching over and holding Macey’s hand. She was smiling. I’ve never seen Macey allow a man to be attentive like that, and she seemed to let her guard down around Riley.

Cillian hugged me tighter “Don’t hold grudges, baby” He whispered, giving me a tender kiss from behind.

I stared silently at my brother and Macey. They were so at ease with one another, stealing sweet glances at any given opportunity. My problem wasn’t with them hooking up, my problem was the fear of my brother getting hurt by my best friend. I would be stuck in the middle. Torn between two people I love.

“So, no more …being a slut?” I blurted out, wondering if Macey could let Riley into her heart, without hurting herself or my brother. She was a loose cannon when it came to men.

“Jess.” Riley sighed, heavily. A frustrated expression washed over his face.

It was a conversation that I would have preferred to have in private.

“What Riley? I know my best friend better than anyone. I just want to make sure she isn’t going to break your heart! That would make this whole situation even more fucked up!” I said, trying to keep my voice as calm as possible.

“No more being a slut, just him!” Macey reassured, leaning in and kissing Riley on the cheek, making him blush but not pull away.

Finally, a smile escaped me “Fine” I sighed, rolling my eyes. I had to push aside all my feelings. Macey seemed to be at her happiest when she was around my brother. And Riley seemed genuinely happy. Who was I to stand in their way?

“Now we have that sorted” I took a quick sip of my beer “I am dating your best friend. Now… I’m pretty sure you can’t say anything or be pissed at me for that, especially considering the situation between you and my best friend.” I remarked. I held my bottle up, finally having gotten it off my chest.

  Willing to forgive and forget.

Everyone clanked the tip of their bottles with mine, with the tension easing up, I was looking forward to the evening ahead.

“Cillian will be good for you. There’s no doubt about that” Riley stood up, offering Cillian his hand, pulling him to his feet. I scooted forward breaking free from Cillian’s’ hold. Both of them stood in front of each other embracing their man hug.

“Thanks, Riley, it’s important for me to have your support,” Cillian said, patting Riley’s back still hugging him.

I stood up and walked the other way to Macey, grabbing her. We both fell back onto the leather couch, laughing.

“Don’t ever lie to me again! I don’t like arguing with you Mace.” I whispered.

“No more lies!” She promised, “Riley makes me happy, Jess.” She whispered so that the guys couldn’t hear us.

“I get it.” Knowing just what she means, for it was the same for me with Cillian.

I sat with my legs draped over Macey. We were lost in a dreamy haze. We both looked over to Riley and Cillian talking, as they drank their beer. Cillian gave me a quick glance and a smile, before turning his attention back to Riley. My brother and my boyfriend Wow, who would have imagined I would have got the man I had a crush on for years, and my best friend would hook up with my brother.

As the night rolled on we laughed, joked and made plans to double date. It was close to midnight when Riley and Macey decided to call it a night. Cillian and I, walked them to the door to say our goodbyes as they left towards the elevators.

“That wasn’t hard, was it?” Cillian asked curiously, closing the door over.

“Thank you,” I said, hugging him. I wrapped my arms around him so tight I didn’t want to let go. If it wasn’t for him reaching out to Riley and Macey, I was sure I would have kept my distance from them a little longer.

“What for?” He asked, clasping his hands behind my back. A sense of excitement washed over me. The soft-touch of his hand sent waves of pleasure throughout my body.

I rested my head against his chest.

“For everything,” I said softly “I’m falling for you Cillian, I’ve never gone so quickly into a relationship, but it feels right.” I pulled back, to look at him.

He cupped my face and kissed me.

“Too late for me Jessica. I’ve already fallen hard for you.” My mouth curved into a smile, caught off guard by his words and his lush kiss.

A burning blaze of happiness and lust flashed in his eyes.

I didn’t have time to say anything before he blurted out. “I want to make love to you, right now.” He announced, gently holding my hand and leading us to his bedroom.

Happily following him, my heart battered against my chest with anticipation. We ended up by the edge of the bed, removing each other’s clothes in a rushed, frantic manner. I embraced my nakedness in front of him.

  Already fallen.

I knew exactly what he meant, even though it had only been a few days of us being intimate. I’ve known Cillian for so long, it felt like we were already where we needed to be.

I laid down under Cillian, he held himself up with his arms, in a push-up position, while staring down at me. His erection lingering against my sex. He slowly teased my mouth as our tongues danced in sync with one another. He gently pushed his cock into my opening, a low moan escaped me at still being dry. He needed me and he needed me in a way that made him know I was his to have, he burrowed deeper the thickness of him had me tilting to ease him into my cunt. His mouth caressed mine, as he indulged in my body that was his to be pleasured by. No other man had me willing to give them what drove their animal instincts to the surface. Only Cillian had me surrendering to him in every way that had me feeling exposed.

He moved in and out at a rhythm that had me reaching a higher sense of pleasure, my sex throbbed as his slow sensual movements became faster thrusts, sending shockwaves through me. I wrapped my legs around him, his hands gripping my ass as he went in faster and deeper with each thrust.

Cillian lowered his head down, nuzzling into my neck, heavy groans escaping him as he kept a steady rhythm, which had both of us surrendering. He slowed to smooth movements, allowing his orgasm to fade, taking a few seconds before pulling out.

We laid down, entangled among each other’s body, I reached down, pulling the sheets up around us, laying my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat while my fingers played with his chest hair.

“Be mine, Jessica,” He whispered softly “Only mine”

I knew he was nothing like Elijah. Cillian just wanted me for me, not to control me.

  Maybe, I can be happy.

  I caved to his words.

Laying on my side, face to face with Cillian, he gently stroked my cheek with his thumb.

“I’ll only ever be yours” I murmured.

He smiled and leaned in kissing me on my lips. Seducing me all over again. We spent the rest of the night in bed, making love over and over. Cillian showed no signs of slowing down.

  SCANDALOUS PAST

  CHAPTER 16

I had been woken by the sound of my cell phone ringing. It took me a few seconds to realize I wasn’t dreaming of the sound. I turned my head to Cillian, who was lying beside me. He was out cold - I was sure he hadn’t heard the ringing. I leaned over the bed, rummaging through the pile of clothes that lay strewn from the night before, reaching for my phone and lying back down on my back.

Swiping my finger over the screen “Hello?” I croaked, but there was nothing. Another random call.

  Fuck off, Elijah .

It had to be him. I pulled
my phone into view to see whose number it was on my screen, but it was unknown again! Feeling a little agitated at being woken up for nothing, I hung up on who I had suspected to be Elijah, setting my phone on vibrate before placing it on the bedside table on my side of the bed.

I was no doubt going to confront him soon but I didn’t want anything to stop me enjoying time with Cillian.

The sun was beginning to rise, casting light into the room I propped up on my elbow, watching Cillian sleep. Unable to stop myself, my fingers moved over his luscious lips, through his beard.

His perfect cupid bow had me feeling a tang of jealousy, he had a natural bee sting look to them.

I laid there admiring him for a few more minutes. With a smile as wide as the horizon spreading over my face. My thoughts drifted to the night before when we made love.

Love! Before it was just sex, really intense sex but to make love was different. In my eyes, it was a sign he was willing to commit. The way he held me, touched me, had my sex aching. I was waiting for the fogginess to lift and to wake up, just for it all to have been a dream.

I could pinch myself. I still couldn’t believe I had Cillian Claremont all to myself.

He started to rustle from my touch, his Sapphire eyes opened, allowing me to get lost in his stare.

“Good morning,” I whispered leaning down to him, needing the touch of his lips against mine. I climbed over his naked body, surprised to find his erection pressing against me.

“Either you are pleased to see me, or you have morning glory.” I teased. I held the bed sheet up to peek down at the bulge.

“Why don’t we find out,” He asked, pouncing on me, forcing me under him. His tight playful grip had me releasing a squeal, as I let him be in control. The feel of his lips against my neck had me moaning loudly.

The sound of my cell phone vibrating made us pause for a second.

“Just leave it,” I begged, kissing him trying to distract him, not wanting anyone or anything to stop me from having him all to myself.

Cillian reached his hand over to lift my phone ignoring my pleas.

“Unknown caller,” He said, sliding his finger across the screen to answer.

He cleared his throat before speaking.

“Hi, I’m sorry Jessica can’t come to the phone right now, she’s …… under...”

“Cillian.” I hollered, laughing as he used tickling as a distraction.

“Please leave your message after the beep …beep...” Cillian hung up on the caller, laughing as he tossed the phone to his side of the bed, having just mocked an answering machine message.

Nuzzling closer, Cillian pressed kiss after kiss on my neck.

“That might have been my dad for all you know.” I squirmed, messing with him. I knew my dad wouldn’t have called me from a withheld number. And if it was Elijah maybe hearing Cillian’s voice would be enough to make him back off.

“Well, if it’s important he will call back,” He whispered against my skin. My hands roamed over his toned body, savoring every inch of his sculpted back.

We were once again interrupted by the beep of my phone, alerting me that I had a voicemail.

“Urgh, I better see who it is,” I said in annoyance. Cillian laid a gentle kiss on my lips, before pulling up from me. He edged off the bed, walking towards the ensuite bathroom. His confident stride had my eyes locked on his toned ass. I looked away when he went out of view from me still smiling. I reached over for my phone, feeling giddy and happy, I couldn’t remember the last time I had this butterfly feeling in my stomach. The good type of fuzzy feeling, when you get excited over someone. I called to listen to my voicemail, getting impatient at the automated voice asking to press one to listen to my message. I wrapped the white satin bed sheet around me and made my way towards the kitchen to prepare some coffee for us.

I put the call on loudspeaker, placing it down next to the sink, as I retrieved mugs. The penetrating sound of my ex-boyfriends’ voice had me stopping dead in my tracks. My heart raced so fast, I held on to the counter to stop my legs buckling beneath me, from the shock of hearing him. It was Elijah after all.

I couldn’t move, all I could do was listen to his angry voice.

“Who is he, Jessica? How fucking dare you do this to me. You think that you can move on! I sent you flowers, your favorite flowers, and this is how you repay me. You fucking bitch! I know everything about you, does he? Does he know how you like to be touched, how you like to play along for the camera? I’m coming for you Jess, you’re mine... No one else’s. Do you hear me…mine!” He hollered, before hanging up.

I couldn’t stop the tears from falling.

Favorite flowers! They were his favorite, not mine.

I hated lilies even more now. I couldn’t bear to look at them when I passed the florists.

He expected me to agree with everything over the course of the two years, I couldn’t control my body, shaking at his words. Camera! How fucking dare, he! The thought of the video that he leaked played on my mind. I thought I had buried that in my past. I knew he would have had the pleasure of bringing that up. I’m just glad he couldn’t see how I reacted to his message, knowing he would have been gloating.

“That’s him, isn’t it? That’s Elijah?” I jumped at Cillian’s concerned voice. I sprung around wiping the tears from my face. His eyes were wide, he was visibly shocked.

My chin trembled as I nodded, more tears flowed freely.

He rushed at me, pulling me close to him, allowing me to be consoled by his hug. I couldn’t stop the loud sobs from escaping me. I was stupid to think Elijah was going to let me go.

“Is this the first time he has tried to contact you?” He asked.

I shook my head “I don’t think so. I’ve been getting random calls for weeks now. I just thought it was the wrong number. He’s never going to stop….He is dangerous. He will never let me go.” I whimpered, trying to make sense, as I sobbed taking breaths in-between.

Cillian’s hands brushed over my hair “Shh, it’s okay, baby. You’re safe with me, I’m not going to let that son of a bitch anywhere near you,” He assured, squeezing me tighter.

Cillian prepared the coffee as I was an emotional wreck. We sat on the couch together, drinking black coffee - better for the shock he assured. It took a few sips to get used to the strong, rich taste, I didn’t care though, I just needed my caffeine fix. Leaning into Cillian, needing the comfort, my thoughts drifted to Elijah. I knew I had to confront him, I just didn’t know when or how without Cillian.

“We will go and get some of your belongings from your apartment, but you will stay here with me. I’ll have security around the clock for you, Elijah won’t dare to come near you!” Cillian had it all planned out, but I had made up my mind, I wasn’t going to allow Elijah to steal anything else from me. It was time to confront my tormentor head-on.

I leaned forward and placed my mug on the table in front of us, pulling back sitting comfortably on the couch, staring at Cillian’s perfectness. Even when he was lost in thought, the line between his brows deepened, his chestnut brown hair laid perfectly brushed over to one side. He wasn’t even aware of me watching him, he sat there staring blankly at the fireplace, while rubbing a hand over his neatly groomed beard, thinking and analyzing everything. It wasn’t fair, we were trying to get to know each other on a more personal note, and my ex was threatening me. How can we be a normal couple with the media and Elijah?

“Cillian, I can’t hide out here,” I said “I have an apartment of my own that is also safe. He wouldn’t dare show up at my place either.” Trying to assure him, while I tried to convince myself Elijah was all talk.

Cillian blew out a loud breath and abandoned his coffee next to mine “Jess, you heard him. He’s not going to go away without a fight,” He stressed, he cupped my face possessively.

“I’m trying to keep you safe,” He said fiercely. I grabbed at his hands and pushed him away.

Cillian’s eyes blazed with fury “Le
t me protect you!”

Tears stung my eyes “I don’t need you to fight my battles for me!” I sucked in a shaky breath and wiped the tears that betrayed me.

Cillian held his intense gaze on mine. Lost for words.

“We have the pap’s following us around” I reminded him “Watching our every move” I added, “Elijah wouldn’t be stupid enough to come near me.” I stood and tightly grabbed the bed sheet wrapping it around myself, making my way to the room.

Cillian sighed in frustration “Jess, please just do as you are told for once.” I was aware of him following me.

  I turned to face him.

Cillian stiffened unsure if I would reject him.

“Cillian,” I said as calmly as I could “Everything is going to be okay, trust me.” I walked directly to him and reached up cupping his tired-looking face in my hands. He looked so worried, it pained me to know I was causing him stress.

“I just want to enjoy this” I placed my hand on his chest “Enjoy us! Please don’t let him get to you, that’s what he wants.” I tiptoed up, kissing him on his cheek.

His hands held me around my waist holding me tightly against him while looking down at me.

“He can’t have you or break us up. We’re indestructible,” He whispered to me.

“You better believe it,” I said, giving him a reassuring kiss on the lips before turning to walk towards the bedroom.

I grabbed my clothes from the floor and sat on the edge of the bed as I pulled them on.

“Can you drop me off at my apartment?” I asked.

I watched him pull on another long-sleeved black t-shirt and dark blue jeans. This man is in dire need of adding a pop of color to his style.

I scanned the clothes; all perfectly hung up, the same style of black t-shirts laid next to one another. His suits were again, all the same, lined up perfectly. He turned towards me as he buttoned his fly on his jeans.

His face hardened momentarily at my question.

“I thought you were staying here?” He exhaled harshly.
