“Oh, hey guys,” she said, looking first to Helen then to Chris and Tabitha who only scowled in return. “Hi, Stefano. I’m sorry about your mom. Was the trip okay?” she asked her boyfriend’s father with the salt and pepper hair just above his ears.

He gave her a slight smile, several carryon bags in his hands. “Thanks, Annie. The trip was okay. I’m glad we went.”

  “That’s good.”

“Jet, are you going to introduce Annie to your cousin?” Helen cut in.

“Yeah,” he replied at Annie’s look of confusion, motioning for her to turn around. “Annie, this is my cousin, Nic. Nic, this is Annie.”

  Surviving Fate (Releases December 2020)

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

KEELAN STORM grew up in a small, south Texas town and finds that she very nearly despises the large city life. She studied accounting in college for a couple of years before discovering her better fit of teaching and met the love of her life in her freshman college dorm. Once married, her husband’s military career took them to Kansas for a few years before she made it back to her well-missed Texas hometown to teach junior high math for several years.

It was during those first years of marriage that this story popped in her head, and she began her adventure of writing her first novel. She fell in love with the characters so deeply that she couldn’t let their story end. Her writing took a pause with the arrival of two sweet boys, but she’s finally ready to share her series with readers.

Currently, Keelan Storm is a fifth grade math teacher by day, and a mother and writer by night. She enjoys time with her husband and two children, their cat and dog, a love/hate relationship with her treadmill and the gym, reading, trying her hand at gardening (not bad so far), attending local craft activities, and rediscovering her passion for her story and it’s characters.
