Cupping her bare ass, I pulled her into me. She gasped in surprise and then followed it with a throaty moan, which I stifled with my tongue. “We’ll make time,” I murmured against her lips.
“In me now,” she growled. The last thing I wanted to do was to piss her off.
I began walking her backwards. “You asked for it,” I warned. When her back hit the closet wall, she gasped. “Now, wrap those long legs around my waist and hang on while I give my woman what she needs.”
“Thank God,” she exhaled, as I lifted her up and waited for her to wrap herself around me. We both moaned when I slowly slipped inside.
“Hang on, baby,” I warned, and began fucking her like my life depended on it. In no time at all I felt her walls squeeze around me.
“Oh God, Zane, you feel so good,” she moaned. Normally, I lasted much longer than this but three days without being inside Cathryn might as well have been three years. I deepened my next few thrusts and swallowed her scream when her orgasm hit. Then I dug into her ass cheeks and sped up my pace. Planting my feet so as not to lose my balance, I threw my head back as my own orgasm blasted through me. After giving her a thank you kiss, I let her down. Dropping the hem of her dress, Cathryn raced out of the closet to the bathroom. Once I was tucked back in and zipped back up, I followed after her.
“You go down first. I’ll be there in a second.” She gave me a quick peck on the lips.
“Do I really have to go to Blake’s tonight? Can’t I just sleep on the office sofa?” I’d tried not to whine about it but I really did not want to go to Blake’s.
Her eyebrow lifted and I knew what she was going to say before she said it. “You and I both know you will end up in bed with me, Zane. Come on, babe, I really want to do this the right way.” She was right. If I stayed, I would end up in our bed and between her legs again. With a sigh of defeat, I turned to leave. “I love you, Zane Mitchell, and I cannot wait to be your wife,” she called after me.
I turned back, pulled her to me and gave her a deep, thorough kiss. Then I let her go and headed back downstairs and outside to our guests.
The following evening at six on the dot, we stood in Riverbend’s sprawling back lawn and said our vows. With a huge smile on my face, I slid my ring on Cathryn’s finger. With love in her eyes and tears on her face, she did the same. The minister announced us man and wife and I finally got to kiss my new bride. The only thing that could have made the moment better was if my father had been alive to see it.
Like the rehearsal dinner, the reception was held around the pool. The tenants, along with various friends and family, were all invited. Miss Weston, in her green, red and gold striped muumuu looked like she belonged on a Christmas tree instead of at a wedding reception. Cathryn’s dad and Blake had both threatened me not to hurt their little girl when I asked for their permission to marry her. Cathryn was the best thing that had ever happened to me. I wouldn’t promise not to make her angry, but I would never cheat or lie and, no matter what, I would love her until the day I died. The object of my affection whisked past me and I snagged her arm before she could get away.
“Mr. Brass is about to eat himself into a diabetic coma, I need to stop him,” she loudly whispered.
I nodded in the direction of the dessert table. “Mr. Brass has a wife who is currently chewing him a new ass,” I told her.
Her eyes darted to the dessert table. When she saw Dani had it well under control, she relaxed and murmured, “Thank goodness.”
I pulled her in and kissed her. As I held her in my arms I took in everything around me. Blake was in the corner talking to a woman I’d never seen before, while Hunter was busy trying to start a conga line. Cathryn’s parents were drinking and dancing and Miss Weston was busy hitting on the waiter. Rich was pretending to listen to Dani’s lecture while staring at Lena’s ass. The only person who wasn’t with us tonight was Sally. Not only was she not invited, but no one had seen her since the night she confessed her feelings for me in my office. I’d asked Hunter and Blake to look into it but so far they hadn’t had any luck. These people may not be my flesh and blood but they had become my family. Cathryn’s arms tightened around me and I glanced down into her beautiful blue eyes.
“I love you, Zane Mitchell,” she said.
“Not even a quarter as much as I love you, Cathryn Mitchell,” I replied.
Her face scrunched in irritation. “It’s not a competition,” she muttered.
“You sure about that?” I asked, and we both laughed.
