Asked to Leave

  “To my fellow workers all over the world, who took part to make this strike cum revolution the great success; thank you very much for sharing your issues, concerns and voices, thank you for taking stand and getting united; I had been communicated with World Trade Organisation and International Labour Organisation authorities, and they have given me an assurance of addressing all the issues which you have been facing; from humiliation to partiality and favour; there will be the special body to address those issues and things will be sorted out within the timeframe. For now, I would request all of you to return to work and we are publishing and communicating ‘no action’ message to the world, so that nobody of you people would be ‘asked to leave’. If they don’t fulfil our legal and appropriate demands, we have an option open to show them the power of unity. You are in the better planet now. Please go back to your work tomorrow. Cheers!

  EPILOGUE

  “Many children had lost their parents in the Earthquake last year. There are hundreds of thousands who are orphaned; keep on crying and wait for their mothers to come the way my daughter does.” Ram told after telling his story to Sherry.

  “I know what you mean.” Sherry nodded and said.

  “I can’t though bring those unfortunate mothers back; however I can at least try and help those children by doing something for their better future.” Ram added.

  “I have a proposal, Ram! See, I have been playing in millions from my early childhood; I think the right time to answer the question has come, which Davinah had asked me when she had seen me for the first time.” Sherry wanted to say something which would change the future of many.

  “What do you mean?” Ram asked as he wanted to know what she was trying to propose.

  “Well, I want you to hold my hand, I want to tie the knot with you; I want to be your life-partner; your hope, your better-half. I love you. I also want to serve those people, who had lost homes and family, relatives and friends in the massive earthquake there. You are good for uniting people. So, let’s get united and do something for people who need us; so that we can see shine and satisfaction in our eyes at the time of taking last breath. It would be our ultimate peace if we do something better for humanity, nature and mankind before we die.” Along with her hand, Sherry became ready to give everything which she had in United States and in the Earth.

  “I am honoured Sherry. I have similar feelings too.” Ram brought the lost smile back as both of the promises were being fulfilled by fate. Ram was thinking he would never have married to anyone else, had it not been a matter of his daughters’ care.

  “Tell me one thing; why didn’t you say that you love me? Being a guy, you should have proposed me. No?” Sherry asked with teasing humour.

  “See, to have feelings in heart doesn’t mean that one would go and get married so easily. I am in the state where I have to think about my kids first. As of now, I am not in position to decide. I usually see Devika in my dreams, so holding someone’s hand would be a bit early for me. I need some time for that.” Ram unintentionally broke Sherry’s heart.

  “I will go back to the USA next morning.” Sherry said and went inside the suite.

  “What happened to her Papa?” Davinah asked.

  “She is going to come back my baby.” Ram had an answer for her, but it was yet to been seen how Ram and Sherry see their future. The time had still to come and decide their future.
