Never Expected Love Page 18

by S. M. Stryker

"I had a headache for a few days, and my body felt like it had been hit by a truck, no pun intended, but all and all, now that Brad is caught, I'm doing a lot better. Speaking of better, how are things going with you and Nicole. Did you two have a nice time at the beach?"

"It was incredible, Beckett, she is an amazing woman."

"So Harlow told me you two talked while I was in the hospital."

  "Yes we did..."

There's a knock at the door and Carson sticks his head in. "I don't mean to interrupt, but I was hoping I could talk to both of you."

Babysitter for Jaxon, friends with Charlie, going to school to be a

  nurse.

SM Stryker married her husband twenty-eight years ago. It was important to her to be able to stay at home to raise their four daughters.

She wasn't an avid reader but picked up a book a few years back, and it made her re-think her ideas about writing, seeing it more as a healing process than anything else. She always knew that her life would make a good story—or a soap opera—but finding or making the time to write was always the issue.

Deciding not to put it off any longer, in 2014 she emailed a few of her favorite authors and they gave her some very good advice. In April 2014, she finally sat down one day in front of her computer and started to write. Through lots of tears, she wrote her first book. That book was Stolen Innocence, and it has a large part of her life in the story.

Now she finds that she has to write, even if it gets re-written. This is her outlet, her sanctuary.

She hopes that you enjoyed her story.
