She thought the nibbling on her foot was him being cute until he ran that wicked tongue of his around behind her knee and up her inner thigh. Mariquinn's body turned to liquid as his hand slid further up her inner thigh. She didn’t know how much trouble she would be in, she couldn’t care less as she reached up, grabbing the waistband of his slacks and pulling him to her. Wrapping her free leg around him, Mariquinn tangled herself around Gypsy, flipping him over bringing her on top.
He hadn’t given her the opportunity to be on top all night and she so wanted to ride him her way. Mariquinn grabbed his wrists putting his hands above his head. “Don’t move them.”
Nicolea cocked a look at Mariquinn. “What are you up to?”
“I am thinking it’s my turn.”
Gypsy shook his head no. “Mariquinn.” Although she could not see him in the dark room, he had no intention of giving her the control until she said please.
“Please, Gypsy.”
He ground his teeth as she reached between her legs unfastening his slacks. When her hand slid over his cock stroking tightly, he closed his eyes trying not to take control of Mariquinn. At every turn the last evening she had pushed his buttons. When he finally had had enough of her antics he took her over his knee and spanked her delectable ass, she may need another spanking.
Mariquinn brought him out of his thoughts as he felt her slowly begin to slide down his shaft with a slow, smooth rhythm. She came back up leaving just the tip in and then she slammed down on him. Gypsy grabbed her hips and growled. “Baby, this is your one chance to have fun on your terms. You need to get moving before I change my mind.”
Mariquinn rocked forward and back, grinding down on him. He growled again as she began moving faster. Tossing her head back she lifted her arms over her head, Gypsy took the opening and rolled them over. He was never so thankful for a pair of drapes getting tangled in a door allowing light to filter into a room.
Chapter Fourteen
Mariquinn snuggled under the blankets deeper. Raised voices could be heard coming from the other room. Knowing better than to get into Gypsy’s business, she tried to ignore them. But, as the sounds escalated, Mariquinn chose to get up. Grabbing a robe laying on the end of the bed, assuming Gypsy had left it for her, she headed toward the argument at hand. Knocking loudly, Mariquinn waited for an angry ‘come in’ before entering.
Stepping into the room, she stared at Gypsy’s back. Dressed only in a pair of well fitted jeans she took a minute to admire it. “I’m sorry to intrude, but what seems to be the problem?”
“Razvan is our problem for the moment.” Gypsy snapped. Lowering his head, the last thing he wanted to do was yell at Mariquinn after the night they had had.
Okay, he was pissed. She could tell by the inflection in his voice. Mariquinn needed to know what was going on. “What has he done now?”
Gypsy almost turned to face Mariquinn. Realizing he was without anything to cover his face, he stopped. He hated this shit. “He is here at my...our home. One, I don’t know how he knows where this house is and two, he’s not asking to talk to me, but to you.”
“I see.” Mariquinn took a chance on defusing the growing tension in the room. Walking up behind him, wrapping her arms around him. Resting her cheek against his back, she spoke to the two other men in the room. “Would one of you hand over your bandanna please?” Knowing one of them had to have one. It was Wrench that handed one over. Mariquinn put her hand out for it. Once she had the bandanna, she used it as a blindfold. With her eyes covered, Mariquinn let Gypsy know her eyes were covered so he could move around freely. What surprised her was he only turned to wrap his arms around her.
Feeling the tension ease a little from him as he held her, Mariquinn decided the best thing to do would be to see what Razvan wanted. “I’m going to get dressed and then I will see what he wants.”
“The fuck you are!”
Okay, that was not what she expected at all. “Gypsy, he wants to talk to me. That does not mean you can’t be in the room.”
It was once again Wrench who stepped up with a quick response. There was a way to have Gypsy in the room without being in the room. They could use the old office at the opposite end of the house. It had listening devices already set up, so Gypsy could listen in. He and Angel would stay with Mariquinn while Gypsy listened in. This would give Tabor time to put a tracker on Razvan’s ride. “Gypsy, if you aren’t in the room he may give Mariquinn more info.”
“True.” replied Gypsy still holding Mariquinn tight to his body.
With it settled she needed to get dressed. “Turn me around and lead me back to the door so I can go get dressed please.” She felt Gypsy’s lips caress her neck as he whispered he could help her get ready and by doing so they could keep Razvan waiting for a while. Mariquinn slapped at his hands laughing. The promise of a little fun once their uninvited guest left got her turned around. Walking her to the bedroom door, he pulled the blindfold off and smacked her ass as a way to get her moving. Her hand flew to the spot rubbing it as she waltzed off with a giggle.
Once dressed, Mariquinn followed Wrench as he brought her to an office. It was very old world in a manner of speaking. Not what she expected.
“Gypsy will be listening in, he won’t be in the room. I will and so will another man from the crew. His name is Angel.”
“Thank you. Should I sit behind the desk?” Mariquinn shrugged as she looked around. The room was spotless, still it looked like it was barely used.
Smiling at her Wrench nodded as he went to fetch Razvan. When the three men came back into the room, Mariquinn was surprised that Razvan was dressed very much like a successful businessman. “Please have a seat, Razvan.”
“My name is Alexander Razvanovic. You can call me Alex if you like.”
Mariquinn couldn’t care less what his name was. She wanted him to get to the point, which it seemed she would have to pull out of him. “Alex, what are you doing here?”
“Helping you.”
Leaning back in the oversized chair she looked him eye to eye. “Explain.”
Razvan told Mariquinn he had met Velean. He told her Velean had him go to the garage to rile up Nicolea so that he would bring Mariquinn to the estate. This was Velean’s plan. “She thinks the two of you being together will be your downfall. Velean has a plan. If she can cause a scene where you see Nicolae’s face, he’s hers.”
“Alex, you do know I am marrying Nicolea.”
“Do you love him?”
Mariquinn sat for only a second before saying yes. Smiling like a kid in a candy store, she said it again very firmly. “YES.”
“Then we need to have a plan in place. Because Velean is going to pull something.”
Mariquinn picked up a pen and began tapping it on the desk, thinking things over as Razvan looked out the window, also thinking. Then it hit Mariquinn. Why were they waiting four weeks to get married? Sure, they could do the traditional one for the families and friends. But who said they couldn’t get married in private beforehand? All they needed was the marriage license. “Alex, do you know much about the parameters of Velean’s deal with Nicolea?” It felt strange to use his formal name after weeks of calling him Gypsy.
“All I know is you can’t see his face until your wedding day.”
“If I were to get married today and I haven't seen his face, we are free from her control?”
Razvan smiled. “That’s brilliant.” Smiling he rose to leave.
“Alex, one thing before you go. If this is in any way a trap that you are involved with, I will let Nicolea kill you.”
Razvan noticed for the first time, Mariquinn Bagrov was more than anyone realized. By her marrying Nicolea they would become a powerful couple. One their people would respect and admire. All he had to do was figure out a way to put Velean in her rightful spot...beneath him. “Just be ready. I do have to tell her the wedding has been moved up. She is expecting an update on things when I leave here. Velean won’t take this lying down.”
/>
“You tell her whatever you need to.”
When Razvan left, Gypsy stepped from a secret door entering the room. “So, we are going to get hitched today?”
Mariquinn smiled wickedly. “Yes, but my plan is much more devious than just pushing up the wedding date.”
Gypsy listened as Mariquinn laid out the plan. The first thing they needed was a priest to marry them at the house. After that they would appear to be heading off somewhere in a hurry. If she understood Velean’s want for Nicolea like she thought she did, Velean would have something planned to prevent the wedding.
They needed things to play out so that they could put an end to the blackmail.
Mariquinn had an idea of what all needed to be done. It just needed to be done in order, for it all to work out the right way. Not to mention, Gypsy needed to agree with her plan.
Waiting on Kathleen, her older sister, Mariquinn nervously paced the room. Kathleen could keep a secret like no other, that’s why Mariquinn had called her. She hoped Kathleen brought a pretty dress. Nothing too over the top though. Her sisters were always trying to get her into sexy little numbers. It wasn’t her style.
Finally, Angel brought Kathleen to Mariquinn’s room. Well, it was the guest room which rivaled in size to Gypsy’s room. She just wanted somewhere to relax and get dressed without restrictions.
“Okay, little sister. Give up the info right now.” Kathleen laughed as she walked in the room carrying a garment bag and rolling a small case behind her.
Mariquinn laid out the whole story. Every dirty detail. When she was done, Kathleen hugged her. “I know someone that can marry you if you’re still trying to find someone,” she offered.
“Nicolea has a priest that will come here and marry us.” Trying to remember she needed to use his formal name today.
Kathleen grabbed her makeup and hair cases and dragged Mariquinn into the bathroom. This was her baby sister’s wedding day and she needed to be beautiful. They laughed and said it would be a trial run. “Hey, who was the sexy piece of man meat that showed me in?” Slapping her sister on the arm she reminded her she was married. Kathleen shrugged laughing loudly. Nothing wrong with admiring something that sexy.
An hour later, Mariquinn smiled at her sister who adorned a rust colored dress, holding two small flower bundles she had tied together with ribbon. Mariquinn looked down at herself. It wasn’t the dress she had picked out for her wedding day. Kathleen saw her look at herself smoothing down the cream-colored tea-length dress. “Hey, you will wear your formal gown when you redo your vows in a couple weeks.”
“You are right.” Taking her flowers from Kathleen, Mariquinn smiled, nudging her sister toward the door.
Gypsy stood with Tabor and the priest, waiting for Mariquinn and her sister. He still wore the mask. He wasn’t taking any chances until they said I do. Velean could have had Razvan plant a small camera in his house for all he knew.
When the door opened to the atrium, Tabor poked him in his back. Gypsy knew what he was saying. His woman was gorgeous. He wondered what she had on under that slinky dress, sending her a wink he got a smile in return, setting his balls on fire. Damn his woman was sexy.
Gypsy watched the sway of her hips, the way the slinky dress floated over her body as she moved easily towards him. Reminding himself the priest stood mere inches from him had his jets screeching to an immediate halt.
There was no private time for Gypsy and Mariquinn. They knew Velean would know by now they were planning to marry today. What she didn’t know is that they had already gotten it over with. The ruse was to head out as if they were going somewhere to be married in case she was watching.
Gypsy walked into the garage with Mariquinn. Handing her a spare full-faced helmet, he grabbed his half-faced helmet and tied a bandanna around his face. Mariquinn flipped the visor up on the helmet, cocking her head to the side. “I remember you.”
Nicolea tugged the bandanna down. “What are you talking about?”
“My mama owns the chocolate shop down from your clubhouse. About a block and half down. You stopped in front one afternoon and looked in. I thought I recognized the bike. Now I know why.”
He smiled. Leaning over he kissed her roughly. “You were wearing a baseball cap and rushed off as I looked in.”
Mariquinn grinned at him. He flipped the visor down on her helmet. Tabor, Wrench, and Angel walked into the garage, putting helmets on and covering their faces with bandannas. They would be escorting the newlyweds to the fake wedding location. Gypsy hoped taking the bikes they could get into town without notice. Velean wasn’t privy to this part of his life. That did not mean Razvan had not told her.
The bikes roared to life as the men prepared to ride. Holding out his hand, he helped her onto the back of his bike. Mariquinn held on to him as they rolled out of the garage and headed for whatever Velean had in store.
Chapter Fifteen
Mariquinn felt the bike wobble, then everything went in slow motion. Gypsy grabbed her as the bike went down and they were thrown across the highway. She felt the impact of the dirt and grass. Gypsy was ripped from her as they flew across the ground.
It happened so fast that she didn’t have time to think. She assessed herself as she pulled the helmet off, tossing it aside. Her ears were ringing, as she heard someone telling her to stop, but she got up looking for Gypsy. Spotted him across the way. Mariquinn ran for him. Thinking what had happened?
Running for him Mariquinn thought about was how he had cradled her body as they went sliding off the road. Her mind was foggy, not sure what had happened as they came out of the last turn. She remembered hearing a loud crack, then a loud pop before the bike wobbled.
Tripping over a downed tree, Mariquinn half crawled, half ran, stumbling the whole way to Gypsy. She never even recognized that the bandanna he had secured around his face while they rode down the highway had slipped off. Not that it mattered anymore. Her mind reeled, thinking he was dead or dying. Blood poured from a wound in his shoulder. She cradled his head in her lap, raining kisses over his face, begging him to stay with her.
Gypsy’s hand came up covered in blood. He tried touching her face, but his arm rebelled. Things went sideways as he passed out. Before Mariquinn could do anything, she was pulled away from Gypsy by Wrench and Tabor. Some of the others were securing the area. She heard someone calling for an emergency unit and giving a location.
A hand came over her mouth as she was pulled deeper into the forest. She realized someone that did not belong to the crew had her. Where were Gypsy’s men? Why was this happening? She struggled against the assailant trying to get free. He had her tossed over his shoulder. As his hand came down across her ass hard, she tried to scream, but nothing came out. The more she tried to fight him, the angrier he became, but Mariquinn didn’t care. All she cared about was Gypsy lying in the forest bleeding to death. “Let me go!!”
The man threw her to the ground. Staring down at her, he unbuckled his belt. Mariquinn's eyes grew large. OMG he’s going to rape me. Scrambling back away from him, Mariquinn felt for anything she could use as a weapon. She looked away once, but when she looked back he was right on her. He grabbed her by the foot. Mariquinn kicked with everything she had, but he held tight, yanking her to him. He flipped her over onto her stomach. Grabbing her arm, he held her down firmly while he secured the belt around her wrist then brought her other arm back and belted it to her already secured wrist. She still kicked and flailed trying to keep him from her.
Mariquinn was pulled up by the belt. She screamed from the pain that ran through her body. The guy looked at her with a glazed expression and dropped to the ground. Now standing before her was Razvan. Mariquinn tried to run and almost fell over in her haste. Razvan tossed the hunk of wood he had used to knock out Mariquinn's assailant and tried taking hold of her. She went after him as best she could.
“Stop fucking fighting me or I will give you to Velean.”
Mariquinn eyed him like he was the devil.
“Mariquinn, Nicolea won’t die from that wound.”
“What are you doing here Razvan?”
“You were to be my prize in this whole screwed up situation. I don’t want you, I wanted Velean. Now calm yourself down and listen for a damn second,” he growled.
Mariquinn was dumbfounded for a split-second. “Take me back to Nicolea. What do you mean wanted her?”
“I can’t. You saw his face. I must wait for one of his guys to come for you. It needs to look like I put up a fight. And after what she just did I don’t want anything to do with her. Velean is not sane.”
“What happened?” she whispered more to herself than him. Had she seen his face? She didn’t remember if she had or not. “I need to see with my own eyes that he’s alive.”
“Trust me, he is. He’s probably as pissed off as you right about now. Because Velean’s about to get her way.” Razvan took a breath as he looked around for any sign of Velean. When he didn’t see anyone, his demeanor changed. “Are you okay? I’m sorry he slapped you.”
“Please, Razvan, let me go back and check on him.”
“Don’t be a fool. Just give it a minute or two. I’m sure Nicolea’s crew will be searching for you.” Razvan untied her hands. Rubbing a hand over his face, he realized his plan had backfired. Velean was crazy and not in a sexy kind of crazy. He could give her everything she desired and more. Now he just wanted clear of the whole thing. “Listen, Velean had a shooter upon the hill. As the bikes came around the curve he shot out the tire.”
Mariquinn looked at him shocked. Rubbing her wrists, she tried getting the blood to flow back in them. Her ass hurt from the asshole striking her and she wished Gypsy was there to deal with him. That’s when she realized what had happened. Like a wave washing over her she came crashing down with it. The adrenaline took hold and the trembling started at her feet working itself all the way up. “You said I saw his face.”
