She heaved again, leaning her head over the side of the bath just in time. She was immortal. She had to spend her entire life living with this. With the knowledge that Aphrodite had manipulated and used her, forced her to abandon the people who loved her and give her body to a monster. The violation would stay with her for eternity. She tried to summon anger, tried to feel anything but utter despair, but she couldn’t. Her mind was broken, useless.

‘I can help you.’ The voice startled her so much she began coughing again, hard. ‘I can help you get revenge on the one who did this to you.’

‘On Aphrodite? How?’ she gasped, looking around the washroom frantically.

  ‘I have my ways.’

‘Who are you? Where are you?’

‘That doesn’t matter now. What matters is that you don’t waste your immortality, and Aphrodite pays for her crimes.’
