Books by Bob Colfax (current as of February 2021):
If you enjoyed reading about Lexi, as she grows through life experiences, you might enjoy meeting Alex Temple, Trisha Cadwalder, and Hannah Ladd. If you’ve already met those characters, thank you for crossing genres on my behalf.
Alex Temple is the main character in the Lost Mansion Cozy Mysteries. In The Bradley Conundrum she has to deal with relationship issues with her boyfriend (Bradley), handle a blooming mutual attraction with a handsome architect (Jim), and solve a thirty-year-old double murder. Yes, and make time to wait tables at her aunt’s bakery and to take her Cane Corso (Bucko) for a run every morning.
In the second book, she gets her first professional gig, working with Jim, at a San Francisco boutique hotel. They would have had plenty of time for romance if only one of the other architects hadn’t been murdered. With Jim the primary suspect, Alex again goes into “detective mode.”
The Lost Mansion Cozy Mystery books follow the life of writer and graphic artist Alex Temple as she finds love and purpose in her small hometown in Georgia.
Trisha Cadwalder is a covert operations specialist of the Solarian League in Beyond the Divide, a series inspired by the classic space opera of the mid-twentieth century. Like her boyfriend, Conrad Gordon, she is very “effective.” Individually, each is delving into determining if there is an enemy and, if so, what that enemy wants. When the two join forces, they’re the only chance of survival interstellar civilization has.
The Beyond the Divide books tell a more serious story than most of my writing. All three books in the trilogy are now available.
Hannah Ladd is a business owner in The Good Elf series — a normal human, or so she believed. After going on a date with a man who claims to be a dark elf, she learns that not only are her two best friends and business partners witches but she is herself a white elf — a very strong white elf, at that, set up since birth to be a hidden asset in a power play in the realm of the fae. A game she now has to play.
The Good Elf fantasy series strives to take a humorous look at elves, fairies, witches, demons, and dragons.
