They faced the crowd and waved as people shouted and yelled their congratulations. Each of them had a huge grin on their face and hope in their hearts. They took hands and it happened.
What sounded like a giant ice block breaking boomed throughout the kingdom. The ground shook and excitement bloomed as the sun shone brighter and the earth began to thaw. The ground moistened and melted, leaving buds of plants and flowers in its wake. Freya watched in amazement as her Court changed before her eyes, leaving them in Spring.
“We can’t call it Winter Court anymore,” Henry hissed. “What shall we call it?”
Freya grinned and looked at her sisters sitting in the front row. Loudly, she proclaimed, “The Court shall be named as it was when my mother ruled the lands. Since my sisters and I each hold a land, each of us will decide on our own name. I will follow my mother’s footsteps and we shall be the Court of Hope or Winter Court, in the Kingdom of Dune. We will answer to both names. I understand we have been Winter Court for twenty-something years now and changing can be confusing, so we’ll forever be Winter Court but also Court of Hope.”
The crowd cheered and pounded their feet on the ground. Freya beamed at them and started down the steps to join her sisters.
“Was that okay?”
They all agreed and hugged her in congratulations. The frollick members followed her down and each of them also received a hug from their new sisters. They were a family now and Freya couldn’t be happier to know the curse was behind them.
They partied throughout the night, celebrating both the mating ceremony and the breaking of the curse. Fae drank and cheered as she danced with each of the frollick members, feeling overjoyed she’d broken the curse. She thought of Finn and hoped he was happy in the veiled realm. She briefly thought of her parents and hoped they’d known this much joy.
They partied well into the night and stumbled into her room in the early morning hours. They collapsed in a pile on her bed, legs tangled and arms caressing her skin.
“Happy Birthday, Queen,” Henry whispered.
She smiled. She was Queen now. The curse was broken, she’d found her frollick, and her land was her own. She was the ruler over it, and it made her Queen.
“Queen,” she sighed. “I didn’t even think of that.”
He laughed, “It’s the first thing I thought of. As soon as the mating ceremony was over and the curse broke, you became Queen of the Court of Hope.”
She snuggled into him, feeling Matthew wrap his arm around her back and Jacob throw his hand over his waist. They fell asleep tangled together with joy in their hearts.

The castle was lit with lights and flowers decorated each room and entryway. Colorful arrangements of blue, purple, yellow, and pink lined the walkway outside the castle, leading to an open area filled with tables and chairs. Happy Birthday, Freya lit up the sky and the trees twinkled with small yellow buds. Fae from the Court filled the area and they all cheered when Freya entered the area.
“Happy Birthday!” filled the air and Freya waved as she walked through the crowd. Her frollick walked with her, each of them laying a hand on her in some way. Their touch was comforting, and her skin lit with the promise of what would come later. Now that the curse was broken and Rulissa was injured, they could have time to explore one another and their relationship.
They partied with their Court until well after the moon rose. Dancing fae swirled through the grounds and laughter rang out around them.
Freya was wrapped in Henry’s arms as they swayed to the music. Her body felt alive with him pressed against her and she bit her lip at the thought of getting him alone. She felt Matthew join them, pressing his hips against her backside and she groaned between them.
“Do you like this, Freya?” Matthew whispered, his lips brushing against her ear.
She brought her hand to his leg and squeezed, leaning her body into his. “Yes.”
Henry grabbed her hips and pressed harder against her and the three of them danced like no one was watching. Their bodies grinded together and the heat between them grew with each moment. Jacob noticed from across the dance floor and made his way over, trailing his finger along her arm.
“Do you want to go back to your room?” he asked her softly.
She peered up into his eyes and nodded. He took her hand and the four of them raced through the crowd. The need they felt for each other was heating up and they stumbled up the stairs in desperation. They fell into her room and before the door could even close, Henry’s mouth was upon hers, his tongue darting in her mouth and making her moan. Matthew ran his hands up and down her body, her skin coming alive as his fingers brushed against her. She felt him unbuttoning her dress and it fell between them, leaving her in her underwear between them.
Jacob removed his shirt and stalked forward, tracing his hand along her stomach. “You’re so beautiful.”
She lay her hand on his abs and trailed it lower, grasping his belt loops and tugging him closer. He gasped in surprise and lowered his mouth to hers. Henry kissed along her neck and Matthew unhooked her bra. She pulled at Henry and Matthew’s shirts, pulling them over their heads quickly.
Body heat warmed her to the core, and she was desperate with need. They kissed, licked, and sucked her all over as they explored every inch of her body. Her hands roamed along their bodies, feeling their erections poking against her body. She urgently wanted to be with them but didn’t know how to make it work with three of them.
Henry sensed her hesitation and stopped. “What is it?”
Jacob and Henry dropped their hands and stood to wait for her answer.
She flushed red and lowered her gaze. “I’m not sure how to do this.”
Henry’s deep chuckle made her smile and she glanced up hesitantly. “We will figure it out. We won’t hurt you.”
“I know that,” she said fiercely. “I don’t want any of you to feel left out.”
“We won’t, babe,” Jacob assured her.
She bit her lip and pushed her hips forward to connect with Henry’s. “Okay.”
They descended on her again, the heat between the palpable. They found their way to the bed, all falling on it at once. Their hands roamed her body and she sighed in pleasure. Not once, but twice they pleasured her with their fingers and mouths. Once she was nearly sated, Henry pressed forward, thrusting into her. She moaned, loving the way he felt inside her.
Reaching for Jacob, she wrapped her hand around his cock and then searched for Matthew to do the same. They all moaned, chests heaving as they all moved together. Jacob released first, spilling his seed all over her chest.
Henry followed, leaving her screaming as she was brought over the edge once again. As she writhed in pleasure, Matthew met them in pleasure and released in her hand.
They all fell in a heap, breathing deeply and quickly as they fought to catch their breaths. Freya smiled and lay her head on Matthew’s shoulder. She felt Henry flush against her back, and she snuggled between the two of them. Jacob was close and she felt his hands rubbing her side.
“This is perfect,” she sighed.
Matthew kissed her forehead. “It is. Cause you are perfect.”
She shook her head. “No, but we are. We’re all where we’re meant to be.”
They snuggled and lay together until they drifted to sleep. Their fight wasn’t over with Rulissa, but for the time being, they were happy.
And that was enough for them.
