Further than Before- Pathway to the Stars Page 66

by Matthew Opdyke

Eliza had a plan that demonstrated that if a person were treated well at work, given proper training, paid well with all of the necessary benefits, and had a requirement to work no more than forty hours per week, ten months out of a year, and twenty years out of thirty, they would be healthier at home. As a result, they would also be more vigorous and more capable at work, more innovative, and loyal to any employer who had the described high ethical standards, as had been laid out by her political party, the UP, in Universal Ethics, and as such their industries would grow and advance creating more power and wealth for them as well. Good begets good, and the rest is a shame. There was no reason to anticipate our country, humanity, and our world withering away.

It was simple, but many did not seem to understand or grasp this simple reality, and as a consequence, many threw others under the theoretical bus to succeed or to rise to greater heights in their careers. Furthermore, the power seemed to be among those who had demonstrated they were willing to sell out their personal ethics, if ever they were had, rather than by pushing up those who honestly did care about humanity and who could in all actuality help it to succeed as a civilization with a more Universal scope. It had been evident to Eliza, that the result of this inhumanity came from the intent of the maliciously powerful of culling our world of as many of its resources as necessary to see that the value of those resources could go up, since those resources could be deemed as scarce in supply, and thus their greed or lust for power could be further sated.

One particular entity had actually spread the idea that established science using approved journalistic venues alone was the one and only source of science to trust, even though they would quickly dismiss any scientific claims published through them. This secret society thought that one resource alone was much more accurate than collegiate journals or what was available through searches using the research tools online and then communicating back and forth through worldwide social networking and connection tools and technologies.

There had been a small quantity of popular and robust search and knowledge resource engines for years, designed to inform the public in a plethora of ways of the critical information essential to progress via well thought-out algorithms and highly intelligent minds. The truth was, tearing down free search engines equated to tying peoples’ hands down to the errors found in “socially acceptable” group think, and rather than allow civil discourse using real person-to-person and lab-to-lab communication, they made sure humanity was splintered and easy to manipulate throughout a variety of elite and exclusive focus group-oriented social sites instead.

Tearing down effective, efficient, and far-reaching forms of social media was in essence part of the idea that if one were to divide the populous, they could conquer them and sate their greed even further. Heaven forbid people to try to improve the world, and together they would do it best. Therefore, these evil entities did what they could to push their influence, causing once noble individuals to tear down the ability of “common” people to unite, to converse, to enlighten, and to resolve issues.

Many of those malicious entities used a lot of socially accepted monikers. In one example they would abuse the phrase, “With the good comes the bad.” Or they would, of their own prurient agendas, set up situations using tools for human progress, to demonstrate what filthy and vile things could be done with them. What they meant to do was to break the will of those who had innovated excellent scientific tools that could actually be used for improving the human condition. They wanted to break the will of the people and cause them to no longer do what was necessary or study what was necessary to overcome strife. Instead through this, they would cause each person that wasn’t “in” their network of insatiable greed and lust for power to relish working in slave-like labor all of their lives, and with little to show for it. Then as a reward for it all, they would be victims of the type of environment that would cause them to fail to ward off the dark end of life by causing them to question why anyone would want to continue on in life with even more pain and suffering.

Many of these malicious entities also preached that “nature should always be allowed to take its course.” The truth was, while Nature had been highly sophisticated when it came to the complexity of the design of our minds and the Universe itself, it took millions to billions of years of mixed results to arrive at such an ability. Throughout which, Nature demonstrated it could also be fierce with little to show of mercy in any way. Nature inherently also had some very pervasive truths, in that horrible acts happened, such as dogs raping other dogs, or rats eating other rats, the sordid revelations and acts that would not be deemed acceptable by anyone and everyone in a more evolved society. Human society in many places throughout the world had at least advanced to see and understand their own conscious reality and to try to improve things for not just themselves but for others too. In many ways, love did abound, and great people did one good deed after another.

Nevertheless, it appeared that one of these secret organizations had conducted a series of documentary-like interviews under the pseudonym of Paranoidis Capitalis, which essentially preached, “The Earth is indeed flat, so don’t believe theoretical physicists, because what they say is all a lie.” They also fostered the idea that “the apocalypse is near, through EMPs and biotech-borne zombie infestations, and everything in science and technology has a horrible cause and a horrible effect that will lead to that dismal end. If we cure cancer, nature will develop something much worse, so give up. We will all innately die, and we should, therefore preventing aging will cause problems galore, to include overpopulation and endless dictatorships.” People naturally soaked that in, because there were certain truths about some of the statements themselves, especially if people were irresponsible with how they used these tools of science and our minds. The fact was, however, if we had used our most exceptional talent, our minds, and our greatest gift, science, we would actually be enabled to have the hope and technology to overcome death, disease, uncontrolled chaos and destruction, and we would then find that we could peacefully and delightfully live lives full of meaning, prosperity, and purpose.

In response to legitimate research on longevity and genuine care when it came to the well-being of civilization, there had been a twist on ideas and a building-up of irrational fears using the examples of what a malevolent mind would do if given a particular set of tools. They were in effect very much focused on how a hammer could be used to kill someone rather than on how it could be used to help someone to build a home. The status quo, or the bureaucracy, or the established powers had very little concern for the long-term effects of their actions, merely more concern for maintaining their reign, their power, their affluence, their popularity amongst the dummied down masses, and thus their influence, rather than having concern for reduced suffering worldwide.

Ultimately, this was the last-ditch effort of some of the most austere, malevolent, and secret parts of society to cover up what even the CIA had confided to Eliza about. There was, in fact, a contingency funded by a Paranoidis Capitalis to create a variety of nerve agents, EMP-capable bombs, and biological weapons for distribution and proliferation worldwide to bring about “the end of the world,” but all to increase the value of their own Earthly self-interests.

As more facts about this information were being provided to her via her neural link with Pathway read-in high-level CIA, NSA, and FBI agents, using legal channels, Yesha Alevtina was also receiving this information via legal channels. Pathway had a pro-bono government arm, and as such, didn’t charge the government a dime. Although Pathway had made it a point to demand nothing of the government for their services, they were still purely philanthropic when it came to the safety and security of the citizens of the countries they operated out of. They did a lot to build safety nets, backup systems, and protective barriers to anything influential enough to destroy humanity or the progress that Eliza and her friends had made through Pathway. Working overtime as the President of Pathway, in the public world and thro
ughout the solar system and Pathway’s twenty-thousand tech cities, with a population of more than two billion people, and growing, Yesha was closely linked to Eliza in the Senate. All who were fully read-in and involved in biotech developed and proliferated cures to any nerve or biological agent, and updated Yesha, who updated Eliza, on progress during each step made by scientific and professional volunteers to overcome these issues.

Yesha’s teams consisted of the best hackers, quantum mechanics, bioinformatics teams, physicists, cybersecurity specialists, and many other specialized teams. They all operated with access and the use of Pathway’s sensor and jump gate technologies, which were immeasurable in orders of magnitude faster when it came to travel and speed of communication and more capable than anything outside of Eliza’s covert empire throughout the World.

In essence, Yesha had put together quite a few cross-genre and convergent Pathway investigative teams, worldwide. They had all worked with permission from the CIA, the FBI, and the NSA to keep up-to-date on the mischief of these many corrupt and powerful secretive and malicious groups. Even though Pathway and its large cadre of geniuses had developed a complete arsenal of defense mechanisms to prevent pandemics and genocide, due to their focus on the health, well-being, and longevity of others as well as themselves, they were not corrupt nor were they corruptible.

Corruption was defined by Pathway as any entity purely interested in advancements and technologies merely for the sake of securing personal affluence and influence mired in brutality for the purpose of honor, where dignity and the consideration for the well-being of others were considered a joke. Corruption was uncontrolled and unmitigated chaos and the worship of mixed results and reckless abandon, which would through gross negligence cause the ruin of humanity.

If it hadn’t been for Eliza and the covert approval of the ANSSI to form the government wing of Pathway LLC more than 9 years ago via Agent Angela Epstein, Congress, and the Senate, Eliza, Yesha, and Pathway would have still done everything they could. They and all of Pathway had sworn to protect humanity just the same from entities with corrupt machinations even though they might as well have been considered rogue. In wisdom, by working with the government in smart increments, the network was much more vast and unbeatable now. The citizens had a greater chance for a promising future, even without them knowing all of the finite details, as of yet.

Aside from measures for security and safety, for real-world medical studies, within Pathway, there had also been great strides toward ending the devastating effects of public research on something just as important when it came to humanity. Just as important were the animals, the birds, and the many other creatures that were also helpful to humankind, the advancement of civilization, the preservation of Earth’s legacy and its survival. Entirely different from old, cruel, and deadly trials on poor unsuspecting animals, now experiments in Pathway were only conducted consensually and only if safety, recuperation, and health of the trial recipient could be guaranteed.

For example, mice and rats could live much longer, and as a matter of fact, indefinitely, but they also had been brought into sentience, and as such, they propagated the species much less or as needed and engaged in important missions worldwide and throughout the solar system. Even Joanne had noticed how the rat and cockroach populations had dwindled to seemingly nothing, in the streets, homes, businesses, and sewers of New York. In truth, they had been essential volunteers in research on the giant gas planets and their moons, while working with Pathway, and their help there was heroic, to say the least. As it was, trials within the laboratories of Pathway had always been well-being oriented, and the pace of the public was picking up quite a bit, through proper Pathway and UP delegate influence.

Before a physiological trial could begin in a lab, for example, there had to be a way to reverse those effects, or there had to be a way to fight the resultant cancers in the case of cell or gene mutation. All of these changes and the humanity existent in Pathway were courtesy of Eliza, the development of Pathway LLC, the which she had expanded into Pathway Industries, and then after winning worldwide acclaim had been officially titled “Pathway.”

Serums were now developed to allow animals and humans to communicate back and forth, permitting humans and creatures to carry on using their neural links in telepathic conversations. Because of this merger in the connection between animal and humanity, and the combined efforts of many members of Pathway, now treatments allowed NASA astronauts to resist the effects of radiation, the loss of bone density, and the loss of muscle mass while journeying through space. The cure for progeria had also been found and was ready to be proliferated. Multiple sclerosis could be cured in a day. COPD and all manner other genetic malfunctions could be cured in one week, using publicly-available sciences. Each of these breakthroughs had the side-benefit of prolonging lives, and each advance and their application to the physiological system was a matter of personal choice throughout all of Pathway. All of this could now be made available to the public and become implemented nationwide, with the passing of these three significant senatorial bills.

The animal aspect was congruent with Eliza’s plans, still in thought-faze, for forests and jungles within each major spacecraft of what she had then called, the IMC. This was an essential part of colonizing the Cosmos healthily. There were currently free-range “wildlife” sanctuaries within and throughout the forests of every Pathway campus, tech city, and in the ever-developing Virtual Universe Brainstorm-and-Plan-Development Matrix, meant for civilization itself as well as each of the colossally-sized IMC Command Spacecraft. Every species was and would be represented, with sentience bred into them. Yet, in all actuality, the animals, birds, water creatures, and little beings would only act as they typically did or graze as they usually would if they detected a non-read-in human gazing upon them. Many activities were going on and had begun when Eliza had all of the Pathway infrastructure built in the earlier days, and thus Eliza was aware of each step of its progress as updates, upgrades, and improvements were made.

After collecting her thoughts about all of this, Eliza began to deliberate before the Senate.

“There are obstacles, no doubt. Most barriers toward the progress of our civilization, or the progressive evolution of the body and mind, lie ironically within the minds of humanity. This is indeed a case of the people versus themselves.

“Many say unscrupulously, ‘with the good comes the bad,’ or ‘there’s the yin and the yang in everything.’ Those are wonderful truths if used in their appropriate context. However, used by far too many with malicious designs, they are merely beautiful, and cute assumptions of reality brought to us, courtesy of years of search for wealth or societal acceptance. This yearning for such is merely a vulnerability that comes with our flowered up attempt to cave-in to our nature and multiply our natural and mixed evolutionary state through unmitigated population growth until all of the Earth’s resources are culled or until Nature itself destroys us, because we’ve failed to evolve ourselves. Creating a “hell on Earth” is the residual justification for Nature’s neural loop in our minds driving unnecessary suffering and misery to ensure we do not destroy this beautiful ecosystem it has created. Nature works through random and brutal evolutionary processes, yet it has also brought to humanity the realization of the greatest gift we could ever have, which is our consciousness, our awareness, our brains, or our minds. Nature would prefer we used them. Our minds work via a robust system of controlled chaos, sometimes uncontrolled.

“Along with many natural cures for disease and as such additions to healthy diets, we have been gifted these minds. With that gift, we have a significant advantage with high capacity to overcome our limitations, to reign-in unbridled chaos, in exchange for curing disease at its core, reducing suffering from its center, sustaining high-quality life, and preserving history so we can carry on a legacy we can all be proud of. Instead of the need to acquiesce to conditions and instincts that will lay waste to our planet, we can evolve, compound upon our wis
dom through living stronger, healthier, and longer, and thereby resolve more issues with several orders of magnitude of the type of brilliance needed to meet the challenges ahead with one victory after another.

“So, starting today, I vie that there no longer has to be a fixation on the perception that there is “a good” and “a bad.” We all know malevolence exists, it destroys, and it cankers. It sews seeds of doubt, and it causes fear, anger, hatred, and violence. If left untended, these perceptions will lead to the death of humanity and of the Universe itself. Concern for this negativity may be necessary, but only for brief periods of time, and just for the purposes of solutions and resolutions. We must be strong, to be able to deflect the actions and barbs of malevolence, and as such, there is a real and valuable truth I want each of you to understand. There is a new balance, it may be symmetric, and it may be asymmetric. There is a new weight to tip the scale.

“With effort, determination, and compassion for others comes the good, with moderation, the scales of life will be stacked in favor of increased positivity. Life can be beautiful, its length can be enriched with joy, and the resources can be abundant if we are gracious and kind. If we are, nothing else can hold sway to the promise of a better future.

“We now have an example science of the laws of entropy reigned in. Two years ago, we lost a wonderful lady to dementia, but today I would like to introduce you to her. She was an inspiration during her life, and now she is that again. Vesha Celeste, can you please come in?”
