Further than Before- Pathway to the Stars Page 110

by Matthew Opdyke

General Kashi began, “Hello, ladies, gentlemen, and all citizens, it is an honor to be here with you today. The day is here, a day I had hoped for many years ago when I was that curious young man doing experiments many had thought was crazy, as I learned about neutrinos and saw evidence of them with my own eyes using tools I had developed myself. Years later, I taught the many theories that only now are being realized in a much fuller scope and actionable manner. President Williams, on her own cognition, without me knowing at the time, surpassed me in being able to harness the power of so much knowledge as it relates to physics and so much more. She designed the very first biopods that could optimize any living body and bridge the power of the mind between many both physiology and neurology. She created a conduit to a Virtual Universe and with it, full understanding mind-to-mind. She learned how to dilate time and both she and Yesha, at the dawn of Pathway, travelled using their abilities to move around as non-baryonic particle intelligences, to the center of the Earth, the Sun, Jupiter, and so many other locations throughout our solar system and create technologies that included cold fusion, both on a micro and macro, simplex and complex manner. They stopped before leaving Sol, because they knew that before doing so, humanity needed to come together in the business of preserving life, increasing the quality of it, expanding our awareness and our clarity of mind, all so that we could overcome the laws of chaos that would eventually lead to our impending doom, if chaos were not controlled or mitigated first. They designed many scientific models together, bringing change.

“They designed the infrastructure and tools to help us prepare to span the Universe. Together, Eliza and Yesha, with James Cooper and his closely-knit and surly crew, built the infrastructure to put all they knew into practice, and in the best and most benevolent way conceivable. As their developments rendered further developments, they reinvested the value of all of the discoveries they made and were awakened further toward improving our environment in every possible way. They ensured our Sun kept its life-giving qualities indefinitely, so long as the systems put in place continued to receive the maintenance or improvements, as already have been set in motion by them. They were aware that they needed to translate their untold and well-earned raw affluence into the influence necessary to get humanity and all life on-board because they knew that we needed each other to overcome obstacles with more resilience, perspective, creativity, and more possibilities.

“They built shielded, radiation absorption and deflection-capable, ultra-sophisticated self-maintaining mechanisms around every spheroid throughout Sol to protect them and to render these locations bountiful with protective and safe life-giving richness and possibilities. They purchased some of the most powerful industries throughout the world, and through that they improved the worldwide workplace, social, and natural environments, allowing healthy thought, sustainable products and industry, improved ways of life, and increased public innovation make the progress we’ve seen a shared effort. They saw that affluence was not the only way to influence each of us and the masses. They saw that action, healthy venues for lives filled with longevity, and participation in legal governance and reshaping it to one of shared well-being, rather than through greed or lust for power, could be attained by leading through example.

“They led through example by forming, growing, and inspiring others as leaders within a new political party, which in-turn grew quietly throughout the tech cities throughout the solar system and then publicly, worldwide, and allowed humanity and all of life as we know it to unite and prepare for this very day. No, this road was not easy, but every sacrifice, every turn, and every moment maintaining what we have all affectionately adopted as Universal Ethics, has helped us to prepare to go into the Universe as bringers of life, of abundance, of sustainable and quite possibly indefinite futures, and all with so much to look forward to.

“As we bridge our understanding from one civilization to another and work together to not only strengthen the Universe and create a minor breathing contraction and expansion that will preserve all that we hold dear, we will find that this will allow us to unite with countless other universes in much the same way. Life can always be exciting and filled with purpose.

“There is much to enjoy, a lot to look forward to, I am humbled to be here, and I am honored to be asked to be one of many leaders at this crucial point in history. As Commander of the missions and operations of IMC Zone-08 and the IMC Command Spacecraft for our zone, I pledge to each of you that we will lead with dignity, honor, compassion, kindness, and might through gentleness as we journey, observe, explore, build bridges of communication with other civilizations, and traverse the Cosmos. Ultimately, we are one Universe and one team.

“In closing, with me, today, presenting our initial Zone-08 missions, is my esteemed associate, and very beautiful Vice Commander, Lt General Lexi Lancaster. Thank you, all.”

General Kashi was a man of enormous humility, capacity, and love. He was a handsome twenty-year-year-old looking man, with the exotic features of Japanese heritage. His once long and white hair had since returned with its shiny black colors with fluorescent highlights and accents of purples and blues distributed throughout his clean-cut hairstyle, parted on the side, and combed up and back in a wavy manner. His accent colors were prevalent in his black irises and the embroidery and trim of his well-fit uniform. The audience could tell that his Vice Commander had had a positive impact on his physical appearance and activity since he had become a frequent visitor and participator in the sports arenas, the Entertainment Matrix Role-Playing Games Development Teams, and he did quite well in anything he put his mind to.

Lexi stood behind the stage, her hair flowing and as regal as on a wedding day, she shared the same highlights and accents as General Kashi, yet her feminine physique and the way her uniform fit her feminine curves made every man and even woman feel motivated to work with her, as well as impressed and honored to have her attention before them.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, what a wonderful team we have the opportunity to work within Zone-08. I can’t ask for a more fine and gracious crew of industrious, creative, beautiful, handsome, and kind beings. Their sense for industrial pursuits, productivity, creativity, and teamwork are second to none. Together, we have trained, practiced, and gone back to the drawing board on many items once thought as challenges, only to come out overcoming all with a more powerful solution. We have shared ideas in both the Real and Virtual Universes and have come together as a team dedicated to understanding our Universe, getting out there, taking necessary preventative measures for safety and security, and hopefully sharing helpful knowledge to provide medical and quality of life support to the many other civilizations out there that we will find along our many missions and journeys. As we meet these civilizations, we can do so in a manner that will protect ourselves from any danger, as well as them from dangers that might come to them via our vast array of capabilities. By bridging communications barriers, understanding their motives, whether subversive or gentle, we will quite possibly learn a few things from them.

“In short, we will setup shared zonal constellation region posts, outside the halo of the Milky Way, beyond interference, in the constellation regions of Carina, Chamaeleon, Crater, Hydra, Puppis, Pyxis, and Sextans, all within Southern Quadrant 2, relative to Earth. The regions in this zone are located looking entirely beyond the southern plane of the galactic disc between 0 and 180 Degrees Galactic Longitude.”

As she spoke, as with each brief, a magnificent halo-display played before the viewing audience, of every region she talked about. Each location shown was accompanied with digitally displayed information that provided both captivating clarity and large scope awareness of plans.

“We currently plan to set up our headquarters within the Hydra Region’s dwarf galaxy group, NGC-5253, and then within it, inside the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy, or Messier 83. This particular location is rather close as compared to the size of the Universe, at about 15 million light-years away. The unique asp
ect about it is the fact that it is very similar to our own galaxy in appearance. It is seen face-on, but it is less than half the size of the Milky Way at 40 thousand light-years in diameter. This, and many other incredibly intriguing objects have piqued our interest, and as such, we will have many missions that will call for increased personnel and volunteers. As we span Zone-08, there will be room for plenty for involvement, with opportunities galore to be a part of the IMC. Each location that has at minimum an observation post or an environmental bio-dome protecting our colonial cities will have jump gates allowing volunteers to return home within Sol, after eight hours of work, four days a week, and no more than ten months out of the year and with competitive benefits that cater to your needs.

“In the Carina Region, we will accompany the President, Eliza Williams, and our IMC Commander, General Celeste, throughout the many nebulae, globular clusters, and promising star systems throughout the Milky Way and just beyond. We will then set up our shared observation post for that zonal region. We will do the same for the Chamaeleon Region.

“Finally, in the Crater Region, we will, following our initial missions, observe, explore, and colonize NGC-3511, an edge-on spiral galaxy, NGC-3513, a barred spiral loose-armed galaxy, both of which are part of the Abell 1060 Galaxy Cluster, which we will explore as well, which is about forty-six-million light-years away.

“I look forward to this since it will be fun, inspiring, and exciting. Thank you!”

After Lexi spoke, the imagery behind her faded away, leaving a message which was displayed in a spectacular way, “For updates and volunteer opportunities, please visit the Zone-08 Matrix in the Virtual Universe.” When she was done, the audience was again reminded of and proud of her leadership qualities, her presentation, and were quite excited for upcoming opportunities to work with this crew in Zone-08. As Lexi walked toward her seat to sit next to General Matzu Kashi, she passed by, smiled, and gave a hug to General Luís Rodriguez and Lt General Ariela Reina as they went up to the podium.

  Chapter 69: IMC Zone-09

General Luís Rodriguez and Lt General Ariela Reina, from Zone-09, shared similar accent colors of variations of green, violet, and amber within their black hair, irises, uniform trim, and embroidery. Luís was clean cut, in excellent health in every way that mattered, and was a genius of a rare sort, quite possibly on par with Eliza, Sky, and Vesha. He had designed the four engines, which had historically re-coined as “drive systems,” since these same systems served multiple purposes throughout every IMC Spacecraft. Once he had finished with his team, he and every member who worked for him chose to hold off on their vacations until the UAS IMC was completed. From there, he had then worked closely with the other teams to integrate their function into the rest of the IMC systems.

Ariela had been with him almost every step of the way, providing profound levels of moral backing and her own brand of sophisticated genius. Luís always knew that none of what he had accomplished, he could have done himself. It takes a powerful team of deep thinkers, daring individuals, and people who can produce the right balance between safety and getting things done. She was his teammate in every way necessary, she was his engineering genius carrying out his theoretical and practical ideas, visions, and his go-between for the crews he oversaw. Ultimately, they were very close-knit but very professional. Time with Pathway had helped them both to take breaks now and then, to appreciate who each other was outside of their work. It was evident that they had harbored long-lost notions for how they felt about each other, since they saw eye-to-eye on so many things, and most of their audience could feel the sparkle of a beautiful relationship as it was only beginning to develop and grow in ways much deeper than they had ever thought possible.

“It is an honor to stand before you today. Cada uno de Ustedes me inspíran cada día, y por eso les digo, gracias. I am here with my esteemed colleague, teammate, and friend, Ariela, and in many ways because of her dedication toward our shared dream of raising the bar for humanity, we each have so much more reason to trust in the promise of our endeavors. Our team has come together on countless occasions, from working with Pathway and James Cooper to rebuilding industries with Doctor Bauer, and on to building the means for the entire Intergalactic Mission Contingency to hop around space in the drop of a hat. None of this could have been possible without the contagious hope and vision of President Eliza Williams and her dear friend, Vice President Yesha Alevtina.

“Citizens of Sol and the UAS, our Zonal Area covers all 360 Degrees Galactic Longitude, viewing beyond the southern plane of the Galactic Disc. There is much to cover, so please give a warm welcome to my confidant, friend, and professional liaison, Lt General Ariela Reina.”

He hugged Ariela, wiped a tear off his cheek, and sat down in his seat. He was a handsome, brilliant, stylish, yet humble man. Those who knew him also knew he was a very sweet man. Some of his contributions were fundamental to Intergalactic History, and the audience overwhelmingly supported his every endeavor. The cameras and audience shifted their gaze toward Ariela, and there she was, as strong and well-centered as could be, yet with a shift toward softness toward him and her crew. The crew knew she was a person of action, yet she was respectful, kind, dignified, and gracious. The crew loved her and appreciated how she took care of him and his genius mind. With President William’s admonition to all UAS IMC and Presidential Spacecraft crewmembers to live life, be creative, and engage with reality, balanced with the options available in the Virtual Universe by setting up personal, private, and group matrices, as much as possible, these two had taken time to experience real life, enjoy the operas, the beaches, sports arenas, restaurants, and so much more, because, not only was it healthy, but it brought them untold connection and joy.

“Thank you, President. Thank you, IMC. Many are aware and may assume my heritage given my name. However, I was born and raised in England within the UK, and following my studies at Oxford, I moved to the US. My great-grandfather had moved from Spain to England many years ago, warmed up to the people, married a British lady, and the rest is history. I come from a background that I appreciate deeply, where there was an emphasis on kindness, working hard with vision, purpose, and meaning is the drive behind what I do. When I met Eliza, shortly following the release of her book, Pathway to the Stars, little did I know that Pathway itself, started by her, this wonderful individual, would truly lead us to the stars.

“I sensed as I read her words and listened to her speak, however something visceral, yet compassionate about everything she talked about, and when I became a member of Pathway, I realized quickly that her words were words of action, depth, and engendered a higher quality of life and shared well-being. This is something that I sense had always been what I believed in, but she had put it into words. My training opened my eyes to the reality that was taking place before me when people embrace their uniqueness with graciousness and humility yet focus on solutions to the challenges we confront as a civilization, on a daily basis, throughout history, and into the future. Working together, truly understanding one another, and engaging ourselves in matters of good repute have led us to this point in history. This is a Golden Age, and we have every opportunity to preserve our Universe, and to appreciate every truth we find within and quite possibly outside of it. I am proud to serve this beautifully united effort to bring beauty and life where little exists and to show kindness, gentleness, and fortitude wherever we go.

“As a Zonal Space Command, we will have many opportunities to observe, explore, and set up beautiful civilizations in a benevolent manner. The Regions we will carry out our labor in are Vela and Volans, in Southern Quadrant 2, and Apus, Ara, Centaurus, Circinus, and Corvus in Southern Quadrant 3.

“After setting observation posts up beyond our galactic halo within each of our regions, we will travel to each region and set up major regional and sectoral headquarters. Many will have opportunities for advancement, so please stay up-to-date on our updates and volunteer opportunities within the Zone-09 Matrix within
the Virtual Universe.

“In Vela, we will work with the President and the IMC Commander to visit its far-flung regions in our own galaxy as requested, before observing and venturing out further, due to the fact that, using legacy systems, much of this region is shrouded by the Galactic Disc.

“Volans has four galaxies we are interested in, viewable from south of the equator. We’ll set up for operations near AM0644-741. This is known as the Lindsay Shapley Ring, and it is an unbarred lenticular galaxy about 300 million light-years away. NGC-2397 is a spiral galaxy teeming with old red and yellow stars, about 60 million light-years away, NGC-2434 is an elliptical galaxy about 78 million light-years away, and NGC-2442, or the Meathook Galaxy, an intermediate spiral showing evidence of a possible encounter, about 50 million light-years away, all of which we will observe, explore, and colonize.

“Looking through the Apus Region, of great intrigue are a pair of fascinating spiral galaxies, both types Saab. What is captivating is there is intergalactic gas existent between the two that suggests a minor interaction between IC-4635 and IC-4633, about 215 million light-years away. We’ll want to observe, explore, and understand star formation more thoroughly there.

“In Ara, there are a number of globular clusters just beyond our galactic plane and to the south that we are highly interested in exploring. Furthermore, NGC-6300, which is an energetic barred spiral galaxy, most likely teeming with young life and civilization is only 50.9 million light-years away, and we most certainly want to observe, explore, forge diplomatic relations, and quite possibly colonize.

“Including the fact that this region is home to our most locally known star system, Alpha Centauri A, and B, the Centaurus Region is very fascinating, since its vast size throughout our southern skyscape gives us access to viewing many galaxies and local regions that will be exciting to observe, explore, and setup for colonization, with a pristine view from our tech cities in the South Pole on Earth. Proxima Centauri, which is a Red Dwarf Sun, lays about 4.243 light-years away. Our resources are at your disposal, President, as asked, to explore our closest star system and set up civilization there if there is none. Outside our galactic halo, about 106.8 million light-years away in this region of sky is NGC-4603, a spiral galaxy with 36 Cepheid Variable Stars. This and several other peculiar galaxies are catching our attention, and as such we will locate our Headquarters in NGC-529, which consists of two galaxies colliding. We will set up headquarters within the Galaxy giving us an advantageous view of the Seashell Galaxy, which lies in front, before us in Sol, more than 200 million light-years away.
