Paranormal Talent Agency Episodes 4-6 Page 26

by Heather Silvio

  “Do you have the rings?”

Catherine and Alex answered yes. Mia and Jacob handed the rings over, unadorned platinum bands.

“With this ring, I thee wed,” Catherine spoke softly.

“With this ring, I thee wed,” Alex echoed.

And then the moment we were waiting for.

“By the authority given me by the State of Nevada, I now pronounce you man and wife,” the officiant intoned. “You may kiss your bride.”

Alex scooped Catherine up in his arms – not easy to do when she was so tall – yet delivered a chaste kiss. His lips moved, and I wondered what he was saying, but glad that they would have those whispered words to themselves.

Elvis began playing something fast, and the newlyweds walked back down the aisle to where Catherine had entered. They beamed as they passed their assembled friends.

All brought together by the Paranormal Talent Agency and leading the charge into the Age of the Supernaturals. Catherine and Alex disappeared through the doorway. Elvis stopped walking but continued singing. We in the audience waited with bated breath. The newlyweds reappeared back in the doorway, we whooped our appreciation, and then everyone was standing, hugging, declaring ecstatic congratulations to the couple.

  We’d all done it.

  Happily ever after.
