Me: Will do.
I take a few minutes, knowing I need them before seeing the one woman who can bring me to my knees.
After getting my body under control, for the most part, anyway, I stand from my chair preparing to relieve Rex from behind the bar for a few minutes. My office door opens, though, and I know I won’t be making it out to the bar any time soon.
“Hey, Ethan,” Liv says in that husky voice that I love so much. Especially when she’s screaming my name. Or moaning. Or… fuck.
“Liv.” Just the sound of her name on my lips is like a direct shot to my crotch. Seeing her stand before me now makes breathing easier. She’s here. With me. Exactly where I always want her.
Except I know Liv. She’ll breeze through for a night, completely wreck me and remind me that I’m so gone for her that no other woman stands a chance, then she’ll leave. With her scent on my sheets and my heart in her hand.
“It’s good to see you, Eth.”
“Gorgeous as usual, Liv,” I tell her and she for some reason blushes. I’ve told her she’s gorgeous more times than I can count, yet she continues to turn crimson at my words. She’s in a pair of black skinny jeans with a few holes in the knees, a black and white striped shirt under an Army green vest, her pin straight dark hair flows around her. My eyes eat up every inch of her and I know by the look she’s giving me that every bit of clothing she’s wearing will be on my bedroom floor tonight.
From the Ground Up was Jennifer’s first published novel and now that she was bitten by the writing bug, has no intention of ever stopping. Jennifer makes her home in small town Iowa with her high school sweetheart, three beautiful, hilarious and amazing kids, one crazy Jack Russell terrier. This is where her love for all things reading, baking, and cooking happen. Jennifer’s family enjoys camping, boating, and spending time outside as much as possible. You’ll be her best friend if you can make her laugh and follow up with asking her what to read next. When she’s not writing, you can find her cheering the loudest at her kids’ sporting events (read as: embarrassing them), sipping coffee or iced tea out of a mason jar with her Kindle in her lap or binging on Netflix.

From the Ground Up
Tess & Barrett Ryan have been married for over twenty years. They’re both hopelessly in love with each other. Have been since they were just seventeen years old. But lately, they feel disconnected. They don’t get time together to go on dates much less bedroom time. Date night no longer consists of the woo. He can’t remember the last time he had his wife to himself. She can’t remember the last time she felt adored. As much as he un-derstands that she’s feeling unappreciated and generally unneeded as his wife, he feels the same. They’re struggling in a way they never imagined when they began their rela-tionship all those years ago.
It seems that their lives won’t slow down and change isn’t going to happen un-less they make it. Together they realize they’ve put them first for far too long and in the meantime forgot what made their house a home to begin with. Will a week in a remote Michigan cabin be enough to remind each other what they built their lives upon? How do they fall back in love with each other when they never fell out of it in the first place?

Feels Like Home
“My advice? Be happy.”
Two words.
Seemed simple.
Except…
Andy had just caught his wife with another man in their bed.
Angry at his wife’s choices and his pride more than just bruised, Andy’s life was going dark. Bitterness threatened to wrap around his heart and pull him under.
But his twin sons needed him, and a brightness he hadn’t expected entered their lives and wouldn’t let the darkness take hold.
Christine learned long ago that choosing happiness and forgiveness was easier than letting the past bring her down.
When Andy stormed into her coffee shop, she knew he needed to know he wasn’t alone.
She not one understood being a single parent, but Christine had also felt a similar betrayal.
They both needed friendship.
Needed someone who got it, who had compassion without judgement.
What they didn’t imagine was for it to become… more.
That they would come to share something they never thought they would experience again.
They didn’t expect for it to… Feel Like Home.

Waiting for Her
Our relationship was such a cliché.
Friends to lovers. High school sweethearts.
Then… driven by insecurities, I broke Grady Ryan’s heart.
I was weak, afraid to love, and even more afraid to be loved.
There are secrets I’ve kept buried but I can’t forget what we once shared.
I’ve been given a second chance and this time, I’m prepared to fight for him.
After six long years of silence, Bri Jameson is back in my life.
I never expected to see her again, especially not to share in the biggest opportunity of my career.
When she walks toward me across my football field, I can’t stop my heart from racing.
But time hasn’t stopped me from knowing her—and I know she’s hiding something.
I can only hope whatever it is doesn’t ruin me.
I’ve finally moved on and I won’t fall into her trap again.
I wish I could tell my heart the same thing—it’s just been waiting for her.
